Okay, yes it is Law and Kid; I am so happy to put them in to the story so now that everyone guessed I will start calling them by their names because they are awesome and deserve it. Also I'm going to have them have a very close relationship with Luffy so they are going to call him Lu.

I am apologizing now I had ducks on the brain, I couldn`t help myself.

Ch.9 – You must take this seriously

Luffy and Law were talking and every once in a while Luffy would glance back to make sure that the truck was still behind them. Law smiled at him, "You`ve been through a lot today so I get that your scared and worried about your friends, but try to calm down or when something does end up happening you`ll be too tired to do anything."

Luffy smiled at Law, "That's not why I'm looking back I'm more worried about Kid, Zoro's sleeping with a sword at his waist and when wakes up he isn't going to stop to think when I'm not in the vehicle, I just have a feeling that this is going to end bad."

Luffy looked backwards again as he turned his head suddenly the truck swerved all over the road, and then pulled over on to the side with Kid jumping out of it and Zoro coming out after him sword in hand, Luffy looked at Law, "God damn it he woke up, Law we need to go back."

Law did a U-turn in the middle of the road, and then pulled up beside the truck, Kid yelled at Luffy, "Do something about him Luffy; I`m un-armed at the moment."

Luffy opened the door and walked over to them when he was beside Zoro his tail wrapped around the 1 sword he had unsheathed, he stepped in between Kid and Zoro, "Calm down I was just in the other vehicle."

Zoro stopped and Luffy released the sword, he walked up to Luffy and instantly hugged him which threw Kid off because he thought that the only person who could actually touch Luffy without getting hit was Ace, Law and himself, and maybe Garp "Luffy, Next time wake me up, you scared the crap out of me when I noticed you weren't in the vehicle."

Kid laughed in the background, "I get it he's a little more than just a friend."

Luffy blushed when he saw the smirk on Kid's face, "Well yeah that's why I warned you, of course he's more than a friend or I wouldn't be letting him touch me this way."

Kid smiled, "Yeah that's pretty much what gave it away. I mean from what I can remember you used to never let people touch you, I remember getting a fist to the face the first time I came near you before anyone could tell me not to touch you."

Luffy smiled, "That was your own fault who randomly hugs a stranger."

Kid smiled, "Well you were Ace's cute little brother and I wanted to piss him off and the only thing he ever talked about with us was you so I chose to try and make you like me more than you liked him."

Law spoke from the car, "That day was funny, first Luffy beat the crap out of you and then Ace did because you touched his precious little brother."

Kid looked at him try to end the conversation, "It wasn't funny it hurt like hell, and now are we going to continue before another car comes or are we just going to keep talking in the middle of the road."

Luffy looked at Zoro, "Go back to the truck I`ll be in the car with Law in front."

Zoro frowned, "But..."

Luffy looked at him, "Just go back to the truck, please..."

Zoro headed back to the truck but to the passenger side door he grabbed the lever, turned the chair and pushed Sanji out of it, turned it back around and then sat down. Luffy sighed at him waking up Sanji, although he probably should have already been up after the huge jerk when the vehicle swerved, He turned getting back in the car with Law, "Lu, Why didn't you just let him come in this car."

Luffy looked back at the truck, "because I'm at my limit, if he tries to comfort me about Ace I'm going to have a breakdown."

Law just nodded at that, Luffy smiled, "and if I breakdown in front of him it will just make him worry even more then he did before."

Law smiled, "You are always too nice to people, he's your boyfriend trust him with your problems."

Luffy frowned, "I do trust him I just don't want to sit with him until I'm in an enclosed environment where I actually feel safe and won't mind crying about it."

Luffy rested his head on the seat staring out the window, "Anyways it's not bad to be with just you, your quite and I feel safe, I know Zoro's strong and means to protect me but he probably couldn't if something really bad happened, but you and Kid could if something bad happens."

Law smiled and his hand swung from the steering wheel and rustled Luffy's hair, Luffy smiled, "I'm not a kid."

Law smiled as he continued to drive, "You sure look like one to me."

Luffy stuck his tongue out, "Am not. BLEH..."

Law laughed, "Now you're acting like you usually do."

With that the 2 laughed, Luffy was sad but this was helping take his mind off everything he really cared for Kid and Law and always had since he met them; they were like 2 more older brothers and were just as over protective as Ace was if the situation needed it. Luffy had always been told by Ace to phone them for help if anything happened so that Ace couldn't help, he wasn't happy about the situation but he was happy to see them again. He shivered slightly from the cold chill coming from Law's rolled down window, "Where are we even going?"

Law looked in the mirror, "Were heading to the ship that me and Kid have been living on."

Luffy looked at Law, "You guys got a ship."

Law looked at him with a smile, "Yeah it's huge, it will be a nice to relieve the stress from the last few days."

Luffy yawned then, he didn't want to sleep but he was getting tired, his gaze drifted to the stereo, "You got any CD's."

Law pointed below him, "In the case beneath your seat."

Luffy picked up the CD case and flipped through them; he saw ACDC, some Nickel back, a Three days grace CD and then he found the one he was looking for, "So you're in to the Shinedown too."

Law looked in the mirror, "I don't mind them but it's actually Kid's CD."

Luffy slid it in and turned up the volume, he sat in his seat playing with the blade on his tail as he listened to the music, he picked bottles up chucking them slightly in to the air and then using his tail he would chop them up in to a million little pieces, well at the same time he was pushing the piece's out of his open window. Law laughed when he saw how Luffy was entertaining himself, along the way Luffy had started carving the bottles into different things, first he carved 3 katana's, then he carved a lotus, and then kept carving differently posed ducks. Law laughed as he saw the now large pile of tiny ducks, "What's with all the ducks."

Luffy smiled at him, "I'm planning on having a duck army to fight with and for that I need to carve millions of small duck soldiers."

Law's mouth dropped, "Seriously?"

Luffy laughed, "Of course not I'm just making enough to throw 1 by 1 out the window to freak the people behind us out, I am curious about how Kid will react, there made out of plastic so there not going to break anything so it should be fine, and there small enough that they won't block his vision of the road."

Law just laughed at Luffy, "Okay, then you do that; but stop if it looks like its messing with his driving."

With that Luffy began to launch the ducks, he would name each duck and then throw it out the window watching it fly and then hit the window behind them, the first one seemed to spook Kid but after that he seemed fine, until he heard his phone ringing, "Hello."

Luffy got yelled at by Kid, "What the fuck is with all the ducks stupid."

Luffy instantly moved the phone away from his ear as the yelling continued, him and Law just laughed at Kid. A few hours later they were arriving at their destination and Luffy had ended up falling asleep in the seat beside Law with his head now resting on the elders shoulder, it didn't bother Law to much but it did make his driving a little challenging. When he stopped the car he picked the sleeping Luffy up carrying him since any attempts to wake the teen had failed. When the truck pulled in beside him he handed Luffy to Zoro who was now walking behind Kid as the group of people headed over to an extremely large ship. When they actually got on board they couldn't believe its massive size, it was the size of a luxury cruise ship. Everyone walked with the group as they head in the direction of what they thought were the bedrooms. Zoro took Luffy in to one and then Law showed half to rooms and Kid showed the other half to their rooms, when they were done everyone wandered around the boat well Law and Kid went to get the vehicles on the ship. Law walked to the side and used his operating room to lift the car up and put it in the garage and then he did the same with the large truck. Kid went to the room he put Luffy in to talk to Zoro to find them both asleep together on the bed, he smiled closing the door and walking to where he knew that Law would be, "We need to leave but where do we want to go this time?"

Law looked over the rail, "We could take them to the Island retreat house there's no way to get to it by land and no one should know about it, we could stay there for a while there's lots of food and caretakers of the Island thought."

Kid sat on the rail, "I think that's a good idea."

Luffy was running as fast as he could, he didn't know exactly why but he was running his body was covered in blood and someone's hand was in his pulling him forward, he was almost collapsing if it wasn't for the person in front of him he would have dropped already, he couldn't handle the running anymore and feel forward knocking the person in front of him over. They rolled down the slanted ground they were on at a fast pace until the person landed on Luffy's chest at the bottom knocking all the breath out of him. He saw black hair and saw the face of the person pulling him trying to get him to run, he continued to follow the person after standing up but lost grip on the others hand, he ran as fast as he could but no matter how fast he ran he never caught up. The person disappeared and he screamed out his name, "ACE..."

Luffy shot out of bed, he was completely out of breath as his eyes met worried green ones that were right next to him, his breathing began to calm though pretty quickly when he noticed that it was just a dream. He felt something wet on his check and reached up to wipe off his blood red tears. He looked at Zoro who hugged him tightly trying to calm him down more, "It was just a dream I'm okay."

Zoro continued to hug him, "Quit saying your okay because you're not, I don't call losing everything and running for your life okay."

Luffy pushed away and looked Zoro in the eyes, "I do, to me as long as your breathing and can fight to live your okay."

Kid and Law laughed from the door way, "I quite agree with that statement, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be emotional when someone close to you dies."

Luffy looked over, "That's not what I was crying about, I had a nightmare of losing Ace in a never ending hallway where when I ran I couldn't move any closer to him, I was in pain all over from too much running, and I was really scared, I was still a child in it; I guess it might have been mixed with memories from back then but I don't really know all I do know is in It Ace left and I didn't like that."

Luffy ended the conversation there, standing up fast and then quickly he went to the room's bathroom and washed the dried blood stains from his face the best he could. When he came out of the bathroom he sat on the edge of the bed, crossed his legs and looked up at Law and Kid, "What did you guys need?"

Kid looked at him, "We wanted to tell you that we are headed for the Island, it should be safe but we're not 100% on this if they figured out you phoned us then they might have found out about it so you guys all need to be ready to fight in case were attacked on our way there, tell all your friends to at least keep a means of protection on them at all times because they are all being hunted right now and it is to dangerous to not have a way to protect yourself."

Luffy looked at Zoro, "Can you got tell Nami and then the 2 of you tell everyone else well we finish talking."

Zoro nodded but reluctantly figuring that Luffy probably had something he wanted to talk to the two about in secret, He quickly left to go tell the others. Once gone Luffy looked at them, "So what did you guys really come to talk about?"

Luffy looked up at them, Law coughed, "You got us."

Luffy just smiled, "Well you guys wouldn't come to talk to me unless it was really important and if the protecting had really been the reason you would have told them yourselves. So what did you want to say?"

Kid looked at Law, "We want you to promise us that no matter what happens you will fight seriously, we know you hate hurting people but no matter who attacks us we need you to not think about it and just attack whoever it is, in demon form or not as long as you get rid of them it's okay, but you have to fight seriously or you'll lose more then you already have."

Luffy looked at them, "But last time I did that I almost killed someone, I lost control when fighting Ace and hurt him really bad I wasn't even in demon form I just lost control of my mind, and I couldn't re

member after; by the time my mind woke up I had already healed him but it was close because I almost didn't return to being myself before it was too late."

Law shook his shoulders, "Then kill who you fight if you can`t control it, but you must fight at your strongest, we don't want to lose you to Lu and you don`t want to lose one of your friends."

Luffy frowned, "Okay I'll fight at my strongest."

TINY LITTLE PLASTIC EXPLODING DAGGER .

Well it wasn't as long as I hoped for but it's not short either, Okay the battle with Ace that Luffy just talked about is something he remembered when he started changing again. I thought I should say that here because I couldn't find a place to say it in the story. So this is chapter 9 and I have Luffy sort of pushing everyone away to show the difference between his relationship with Law and Kid compared to Zoro. Luffy loves Zoro but he doesn't exactly want to tell him everything either he's nervous and believes that it's for the best for Zoro not to know.
