Upon entering their hut Jiro shut and bolted the door closed. Sana tended to the embers she had left burning safely to stoke a fire and placed the kettle arm over it to heat water. Sitting down Jiro went to her medicinal satchel taking out the mint ointment she had made when her legs cramped lately.
His appearance was more human again however she still felt his energy radiating around him. Sitting down at her feet he removed her boots and stockings placing her legs over his to begin rubbing her feet.
"I am sorry that the other males presence was so sudden. It would seem Iku and Rikus sons don't announce their arrival beforehand." Sana said.
"I don't want him near you. I am sorry since you were taken in by Lady Iku and the captain." Jiro replied softly.
"You have nothing to apologize for Jiro. You are my husband, my mate. I will always be grateful and love Iku and Riku as my parents, Kiyoshi as a brother, but if it makes you uncomfortable for me to be around Haruki, I won't." She assured.
"When I scented him here and then saw him near you, you reaching out to him I…I lost my composure. I understand the reasons why he did what he did now but I was so afraid he would do something to hurt you." Jiro continued. "It's irrational and sounds paranoid…"
Sana moved her legs off of him to get closer to him. Kneeling beside him she placed her hand against his cheek turning his face to look at her.
"I understand. You are not being irrational or paranoid. That person caused you harm and you reacted to protect us." Taking his hand she placed it against her stomach. "Thank you."
Closing his eyes he pressed the palm of his hand more firmly against her feeling their child move in her. Leaning forward he rested his head against her shoulder nuzzling against her neck breathing in her scent deeply.
Wrapping her arms around him she rested her face against his hair and dragging her nails across his neck. "You are an amazing person Jiro and I'm glad that you are mine."
Feeling him exhale against her as if he had been holding his breath made her relax a bit to know he was calming down. She hated to see him worked up and would feel badly if he had a panic attack, which at times he did when his fears came to the surface.
"Do you remember when the ogres attacked some time ago?" She asked. Feeling him nod against her she continued. "Seeing one again it was my worst nightmare come true and I shut down. I saw it and my mind felt as if it overloaded; the panic, the fear, and anxiety was too much for me to comprehend. I remember shaking and then waking up in the main house being held by you. I felt so safe knowing you were there, with me. The place I went to was the last spot I wanted to be but Hikari assured me that you were with me and everything would be alright."
"I love you sunflower." Jiro exhaled out as his energy calmed allowing him to relax.
"And I love you darling, my darling Jiro." Wrapping her arms around him he sunk into her further and they stayed like that for some time as the kettle whistled to be taken off of the fire.
