Chapter Twenty: The Drench of the Two Prisons
"Tell me, have any of you heard of the stories of Bargate Prison?" Gabriel asked looking at the Map Table in the Sanctuary.
"Never heard of it, what is it?" Echo spoke leaning on the map table to where Gabriel pointed.
"In old times the Hero of Oakvale your ancestor Logan was sent there, ironically like your father he spent a great deal of time in a torturous prison, however during Logan's reign a new prison was built, one to house more dangerous prisoners Bargate couldn't handle," Gabriel spoke.
"So, Albion has two prisons?" Tali spoke looking at Logan.
"Actually the plans have always been around, it was my father's plan originally, with beings like the Commandant, or very powerful dangerous Will users, Father felt we needed a prison more secure for those dangerous criminals, so I made that plan a reality but I used Ravenscar as a secret prison," Logan sighed having regret for those he had sent over the years to Ravenscar.
"Regrets aside it appears the two prisons are directly placed across one another and the next agent appears to be in the middle of the two, in the ocean. I suspect it took hold here so it can spread Corruption to the two prisons," Gabriel spoke looking at the agent mask, "though I will admit it is odd, why corrupt people who can't escape the prisons."
"Call me crazy but I suspect this agent set a trap for us, they may appear as animals but I suspect they're a lot smarter than we originally thought," Saker spoke looking at the map.
"Actually, Saker may be onto something," Echo spoke looking at the map, "it's in the middle of open water so we will need a boat, so killing it will be very difficult."
"Never stopped us before, it Corrupt the sea around us falling in could possibly be a death sentence," Tali spoke studying the map.
"Could we get Percy to help so we can stay airborne?" Logan spoke looking at Gabriel.
"Hmmm maybe not a good idea to put Percy in danger, the threads of possibilities are many, it will be up to you Logan to figure out how to take down the Gorger," Gabriel spoke turning to Logan.
"Alright, I think we're gonna need a ship, a warship, something we can load mortars with powerful explosives," Logan spoke turning to Saker, "think you can handle the demolitions?"
"Damn right, I can!" Saker grinned.
"War ship huh? Where are we gonna get one of those from?" Echo spoke looking at the map.
"The Bowerstone docks, of course, I'm sure Ben won't mind us borrowing one," Logan spoke looking to Bowerstone City.
"Well let's get going then! That agent not gonna kill itself," Echo spoke touching Bowerstone and vanishing from the room.
Following after Logan and the others all appeared in Bowerstone Market Town where they made their way to the massive docks.
"They sure expanded to old Market Town since I last been here," Saker spoke noticing the expanded docks.
"Well duh, the kingdom wealth expanded so the trades between the kingdoms had to arrive here," Logan spoke walking down the stairs to the docks.
"Hopefully the trades will happen soon, I miss having Albion's famous honey in our kingdom," Tali spoke.
"I did enjoy Samarkand's exotic spices, I'm sure our kingdoms will enjoy that peace again," Logan smiled.
"Found our ship," Saker smirked spotting the warship.
Taking the ship Logan took the helm as they said from the Bowerstone coast and sailed up towards the prisons, sailing for an hour Echo approached the front of the ship.
"Clear skies ahead," Echo spoke using a spyglass to look out ahead, "is Gabriel sure that agent is still in this water somewhere?"
"Pretty sure he was," Tali spoke looking to Saker who was loading all the mortars with bombs.
"Well, I see this Ravenscar so keep your eyes out," Echo spoke.
Thunder then clashed above making the heroes look up to see red clouds fill the sky booming with thunder and the sea around them became black and the waves began to rock and shake.
"HANG ON!" Logan yelled trying to get control of the ship only for something to hit them from the side knocking the ship towards a large whirlpool that began to open up revealing several sharp rocks.
"What the bloody hell!" Saker yelled holding onto the side and looking out to the large whirlpool where large tentacles sprang out of the water each one covered in sharp horns and the very tips having two large sharp claws, one of these sharp tentacles then came towards them stabbing into the side of the ship.
"Ngh!" Tali grunted hitting the deck from the force and grabbing onto a rope as the ship got stabbed by another tentacle and slowly began to lift out of the water and thunder clashed above them.
"What the bloody hell is this thing?!" Logan growled holding on as the ship was thrown into the center of the whirlpool and stabbed into the sharp rock in the middle pinning the ship.
"Ow!" Echo groaned looking at the rock that was now sticking out in the middle of the ship then looked around to the wall to wall of corrupted waters in the whirlpool they were trapped in.
"We're trapped!" Tali spoke helping Echo up.
"Look alive!" Saker spoke with all of them joined on the destroyed deck seeing two tentacles wrap around two rocks that stuck out of the whirlpool then slowly with six tentacles moving around circling the ship, a massive Corrupted Kraken with large eyes and sharp teeth as if it came from the darkest part of the oceans rose with a mask merged into its face and roared loudly before the heroes.
"KRAKEN!" Saker yelled, the Gorger roared again forcing the heroes to cover their ears before watching it dive into the water and began to circle in the whirlpool.
"It's huge! We've never fought anything this big before!" Echo spoke trying to keep an eye on their enemy.
"Echo and Tali you take the right side! The mortars are armed and ready if you see its ugly mug or a tentacle fire! Logan and I will that the left! We need to burn off its Corruption so we can hurt his overgrown bitch!" Saker spoke.
"Right, you heard him, let's do this!" Logan spoke taking up one of the mortars with Saker on one side while the girls took another watching the massive shadowy figure in the water circle only visible when the thunder booms above.
Rain then began to pour down, and all the heroes focused on waiting for any movement or attack of the agent, narrowing his eyes Logan focused looking around then spotted a jagged rock, "Saker! Think you can get the anchor loose from the ship?"
Looking to Logan then to where Logan's gaze was Saker understood and ran towards the front of the ship peering over to see where the anchor was, "Leave it to me!"
Punching through the floorboards Saker began to tear through the wood to get to the chain of the anchor and began to tug to break it free.
Launching out of the water the Gorger sank its teeth into the side of the boat dangerously close to Logan who got knocked back by the force, rolling Logan stood up and launched a Light Spell into the Kraken's eye.
Roaring the agent slipped off into the water below circling in the whirlpool again, "Saker how's the anchor?"
"Gimmie a sec!" Saker grunted with one pull broke the anchor free and wrapped the chain around his arm and picked up the large heavy anchor, "ok how we gonna hook this bastard?!"
"Let's try and weaken it!" Echo spoke watching the shadow vanish in the corrupted ocean waters, "Tali, get ready!"
Nodding Tali waited then fired her mortars with Echo when the agent launched out of the water at their side of the ship clawed tentacles got hit and making it roar and slam into the side of the side making a sip sink deeper on the spike and start to split the ship in half.
"The ship can't handle much more!" Tali yelled seeing the tentacles wrap around the two loose boulders from before and the Gorger lifted out of the waters roaring and stabbing two of its tentacles into the ship.
"Saker follow me!" Logan yelled drawing his sword to his left and running to where the tentacle was stabbed into the ship both running on it towards the Kraken that roared stabbing one of its free tentacles at Logan who jumped over it, "LIGHT!"
Throwing the light spell into the side of its head Logan used his sword to slash a deep cut that Saker swung and stabbed the anchor into the agent's exposed flesh.
Roaring the Gorger thrashed around its sharp tentacles, taking the chain Logan took Saker's hand who threw Logan towards the sharp rock they plan to impale the agent again, wrapping around the spike Logan climbed and quickly tied the chain in place.
"Saker get back here!" Echo yelled watching the man still near the anchor he had stabbed into the Kraken punching it deeper making it roar, the force making him lose his footing and slip down towards the water below, "SAKER!"
Using the pull spell Logan use the green magic whip to wrap around Saker's hand and ended up hitting the ground grunting as he kept Saker from falling into the waters, "Bloody hell mate! You're heavy!"
Grunting Logan noticed the chains tighten from the Kraken that moved in the waters getting yanked in the whirlpool swimming out and launching towards the ship wrapping all its tentacles around the ship.
"Shit!" Tali yelled feeling the ship about to break off, "Echo climb up the rocks!"
Both quickly ran above the tentacles that squeezed the boat breaking the wood, "Tali! Echo!" Logan grunted looking between the girls and then to Saker below.
Looking up then to the girls Saker began to swing his legs, swinging faster and faster, and with enough momentum, Saker let go and landed on top of the Kraken's head and began to throw punches, "Take this and that you overgrown fish!"
Standing up Logan looked at where he stood and where his allies were, "If this goes on the ship will fall and they will be stuck on that rock with no defense!"
Thinking of his options Logan's eyes widen when he recalled the spell, he just used moments ago, 'the whip spell, if I combine it with light and charge them to max then maybe...'
Opening both his hands Logan concentrated on forming the light in his right and the whip spell in his left both growing in power, Logan then slammed his hands together combining them and charging them in a powerful light combination of green and white.
With his eyes glowing blue and will marks glowing Logan moved his hands away using his left hand to stab into the light and pull out a light whip that he swung around his head the smack towards the Kraken wrapping it around its jaws, "I got you now!"
"Oh, crap! Look out, girls!" Saker yelled running up the kraken head and quickly grabbing the rock.
"Light Pull Maxima!" Logan yelled yanking hard on the whip, the force digging the light whip burning and piercing into Kraken's mouth then with an inhuman strength yanked it from the rocks it had a death grip on and impaled its large head into the rock Logan stood on.
Roaring the Gorger flailed around trying to break free, while above the light of day began to break through the storm clouds burning away the Corruption on the agent.
"Where Logan?" Tali asked looking around and then noticing a light in the whirlpool her eyes widened realizing Logan got knocked into the water when he pulled the Kraken towards the rock he was on, "LOGAN!"
Jumping Tali dived into the Corrupted waters while all Saker and Echo could do was look on in horror both turning when they heard the Gorger make one last roar before burning away in the sun.
In the darkness of the waters, Logan began to sink the blue will markings pulsing, looking up to the fading light of the sun, he reached his hand outwards, and his vision began to go black, 'I wanna save everyone, I have to save Adam, I have to.'
Memories of his friends then flashed then stopped to Tali's smile, opening his eyes Logan saw growing light coming towards him, reaching out his hand Logan felt someone take his hand.
With the Gorger defeated the storm cleared and the whirlpool stopped filling the vortex the heroes fought in with the ocean water sweeping up Saker and Echo.
Swim to the surface Saker and Echo gasped quickly looking around for their friends, "Where are they?! Saker do you see them?! TALI! LOGAN!"
Seeing a growing light some distance from them they watched Tali break the water's surface with a loud gasp for air, grunting to try and keep Logan's head above the water, "Not on my watch you bastard!"
Coughing Logan turned to Tali and smiled, "Guess we're even now."
Confused for a moment Tali recalled the few times Logan had saved her and couldn't help but let out a small laugh, "I wasn't aware we were keeping score."
"You two, ok?!" Saker yelled swimming towards them only to be snatched out of the water along with Echo by Percy in dragon form who then spun around and picked up Logan and Tali flying towards Rookridge in the distance.
"Percy!" Logan spoke looking up from the claws he was held in.
"Greetings, I had sensed you were in need of my help so I came as fast as I could," Percy spoke.
"Thank you, Percy!" Tali smiled as the dragon took them towards Rookridge.
