"Wanderers in the desert"
Bayonetta and Viola returned to Thule. Ghost was holding the other two Chaos Stones he turned around to see the witch and demon back. "Good you guys are back." Ghost said.
"How are you doing, master?" Viola asked.
"All we need is two more." Ghost said.
"What timeline are we going too this time?" Bayonetta asked.
"Beats me." Ghost said.
He opened a portal to the other timeline Viola joined Bayonetta "What Viola where are you going?" Ghost asked.
"I'll be back." she said.
Ghost gave an annoyed look "Ha didn't think I was going to say that did you?" Viola asked.
"That's my line." Ghost said.
"Actually it's someone else's line." Viola said.
"Regardless, should we get going?" Bayonetta asked.
The two jumped through the portal. Bayonetta found herself in Egypt but Viola was nowhere to be seen. "Where's kitty gone off too?" Bayonetta asked.
Bayonetta was in a place where there's water and a windmill "It's beautiful here." Bayonetta said.
She saw an image that looked like Jeanne in an Egyptian outfit "Princess you must not follow!" the alternate Jeanne said.
"Is that Jeanne? And "princess?" you must be joking." Bayonetta said.
She followed the image of Jeanne. Before she could continue she encountered a new Homunculi Castellanus. It emitted a forced field keeping Bayonetta away but only her Infernal Demons could move through the force field.
She used the Demon Slave and summoned Madama Butterfly. The demoness punched each part of the Castellanus until only the top was left standing.
Once it was defeated Bayonetta found another image of Jeanne " Princess return and leave this to me!" the alternate Jeanne said.
"Princess?" Bayonetta asked, with a more annoyed tone.
Bayonetta fell into quicksand which sucked her in but it was into an underground cavern. "Is your grand scheme simply to bore me to death?" Bayonetta asked.
Bayonetta found an opening that was filled with large crystals. In the middle of the cave there was another remnant of memory but this one could move and fight "I made it clear you were not to follow." Jeanne said.
"And when someone gives me an order I just have to disobey." Bayonetta said.
"You really are quite the headstrong I'll have to force you to listen then. Prepare yourself!" Jeanne said.
Jeanne jumped onto the demon frog Baal. Baal began attacking Bayonetta. The Witch of Genesis used all her strength to fight Baal. Once Baal was weakened Jeanne decided to fight up close and personal.
The two witches were evenly matched Jeanne grabbed Bayonetta by the throat. Bayonetta got a glimpse of this timeline's Bayonetta and Jeanne. "That is enough!" Jeanne said.
In this vision Bayonetta saw the Bayonetta of this timeline who is an Egyptian princess. She was beautiful.
She kicked Jeanne's hand and the two still fought Jeanne used Baal to lull her Bayonetta to sleep. "You mustn't go alone." Princess Cereza said.
"The Interloper has extended the challenge to me. I will meet it and then return. Have faith. I'll see you again soon princess." Jeanne said.
She leaves and the princess Cereza falls unconscious. Egypt Jeanne lets go of Bayonetta and rubs her hand on her cheeks. She smiles at her and disappears. Bayonetta turned around to see the real Baal "A powerful witch with regal beauty and fire perhaps I can hang my hopes on you." Baal said.
"Please, you must save my mistress." she begged.
"Well of course, that's why I've come. I've always wanted to rescue the lady fair." Bayonetta said.
"I must thank you, noble witch. Perhaps a song." Baal said.
She began to sing "Save the audition. Time is short." Bayonetta wasn't in the mood for songs.
Baal became Bayonetta's new Demon Slave.
The Egypt chapters were my favorite parts of the game.
