One down, one to go. Now, it's time for Moskii to strut her stuff. Get ready for some heartfelt moments and more duel monsters references then you can shake a duel disk at. The title was a bit tricky though. First it was 'Brooklyn Rage', then it was 'heart of the underdog', but I eventually settled on 'Trial by Red-Eyes'. Also, would any of you like to see a chapter based in the 'Courage the Cowardly Dog' episode 'Windmill Vandals'? If so, what would you like to happen? Chapter 19
Trial by Red-Eyes Part 1
It had been 5 hours since ShiiShii won her duel against Polt, now, it was time for lights out. Moskii layed in her bed, thinking about who she might duel tomorrow.
'Oh man', she groaned in her head. 'This is getting too much. Just, who could I get? Mako Tsunami? Mai Valentine? Who? I, hope I don't let my friends down'. With that, she then fell asleep.
The next morning, she flew to the duel arena. There, Jaden and his friends were waiting.
"You ready for this?" Asked Bastion.
"As ready as I'll ever be" answered Moskii.
"Well, we better head to our seats", said Zombina. "Good luck with your duel".
"Thanks" said Moskii. She then walked into the arena and it was more packed then the last two times.
"Another duel already?", Crowler asked no one in particular. "And I can assure you, THIS one will blow your minds. In this corner, we have Moskii of Slifer Red. And now, help me in welcoming a VERY special guest duelist". Moskii's opponent then entered the arena. And his yellow hair and brown eyes were instantly recognisable.
"The godfather of games himself", said Crowler. "Joey Wheeler". The arena went silent, no one was expecting Yugi Moto's best friend of all people to be here.
"HELLO~ DUEL ACADEMY!" Shouted Joey, causing everyone in the stadium to cheer and roar.
"I can't believe it" said Syrus.
"Wonder what strings had to pulled?" Asked Alexis.
"Who knows?", said ShiiShii. "All I know is that this match when from an 'oh-no' to a 'holy crap'". Zombina meanwhile, was hitting her head on the back of the chair in front of her.
"Fuck. My. Life" she groaned.
'Could they have made this anymore unfair?' Moskii thought in her head.
"Now then", said Crowler. "Like last duel, each of you will start out with 8000 life. Are both duelists ready?".
"I'm ready" said Moskii.
"I'm ready too" said Joey.
"Then duel!" Shouted Crowler before jumping of the stage. Joey and Moskii both turned on their Duel Disks.
"Hey kid", said Joey. "Make sure yuh give dis duel everythin' yuh got".
"I plan to" said Moskii. They both drew their hands.
"IT'S TIME TO DUEL!/GAME ON!".
Joey: 8000
Moskii: 8000
"I'll start this off", said Moskii drawing the top card of her deck. "I summon Killer Needle in attack mode". Her monster was a large, yellow hornet.

"Next, I'll place two these facedown and end my turn" said Moskii.
"My turn den", said Joey drawing the top card of hid deck. "I summon Axe Raiduh, in attack mode". His monster was a muscular man wearing gold and red armour with purple cloth and carried an axe.

"Now Attack!", shouted Joey. "Squash dat bug!". Axe Raider then swung it's axe and destroyed Killer Needle.
Moskii: 8000 - 500 = 7500
"Activate trap card", said Moskii. "When you destroyed my monster by battle, monster incubation allows me to summon a monster directly from my hand. As long as it's the same type as the one that was destroyed. So I summon Insect Knight". Her monster then appeared on the field.
"I'll place dis facedown and end my turn" said Joey.
"Then it's my move", said Moskii drawing the top card of her deck. "I summon Shiny Black C Squadder, in attack mode". Her new monster was a human dressed up as a in a cockroach theme 'sentai' suit.

"Now Squadder!", shouted Moskii. "Attack Axe Raider!". Squadder then charged forward.
"Not so fast!", said Joey. "I activate my trap card! Magic Arms Shield! Dis trap card activates whenevuh yuh attack my monstuh, and I can switch de target tuh one of your monstuhs. Like your Insect Knight!". A white shield appeared on Axe Raider's arm and a grabby arm came out and reached towards Insect Knight and grabbed him.
"Hey, get off him!" Shouted Moskii.
"Sawhry kid", said Joey. "But all's fair in love and duel monstuhs". Squadder then destroyed Insect Knight.
Moskii: 7500 - 100 = 7400
"Damn it", groaned Moskii. "That's two monsters I lost. I'll place this facedown and end my turn".
'My turn", said Joey drawing the top card of his deck. "I summon Gearfried the Iron Knight, in attack mode". His new monster was a human dressed in black armour that had white lining. One arm was a blade, the other was a claw.

"Next, I equip my Axe Raiduh wit' Lucky Iron Axe" said Joey. Axe Raider's ace then turned into a normal axe.
"Dis card gives my monstuh an extra 500 attack points" said Joey.
Axe Raider
ATK: 1700 + 500 = 2200
"Now, Axe Raiduh!", shouted Joey. "Attach huh Shiny Black 'C' Squaddah!". Axe Raider then charged forward, slicing Squadder in half, destroying it.
Moskii: 7400 - 200 = 7200
"Now, Gearfried!", shouted Joey. "Attack huh directly!".
Gearfied then jumped forward and thrusted his blade arm forward.
"I activate my facedown card, negate attack!" Shouted Moskii.
Gearfried then stopped.
"Aw man", groaned Joey. "I fell fawh one of de oldest tricks in de book. Aw well, I'll place dese facedown and end my turn".
"My move then", said Moskii. "I remove both my Squadder and my Insect Knight in my graveyard from play. This allows me to summon, Doom Dozer!".
The ground then started to shake.
"Hey, what's goin' on?" Asked Joey in worry.
Doom Dozer then came out of the ground, giving off a loud shriek.
"NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Big bug!" Shouted Joey.
"And that's not all, I play the spell, cost down", said Moskii. "This reduces the level of all monsters in my hand by 2. So, I don't need any sacrifices to summon, Hercules Beetle!". Her new monster was a large, purple Hercules beetle.

"Ya made a boo boo on dat last move", said Joey. "Ya should've played dat monstah in defence mode".
It was at that moment that something replayed in Moskii's mind.
'Boo boo. Boo boo. Boo. Boo. Oh boo-hoo bugsy'. Moskii then shook her head.
"That's where you're wrong", said Moskii. "I play my the spell, stim pack. This boosts my monster's strength by 700".
Hercules Beetle
ATK: 1500 + 700 = 2200
"Nice", said Tio. "Two monsters with over 2000 attack points".
"Take him down, Moskii".
"Now, Doom Dozer!", shouted Moskii. "Attack Axe Raider!". Doom Dozer then scuttled forward and bit down on Axe Raider, crushing it.
Joey: 8000 - 600 = 7400
"When Doom Dozer attacks", said Moskii. "You have to send the top card of your deck to the graveyard". Joey then drew the top card of his deck to the graveyard.
"Now then, Hercules Beetle!", shouted Moskii. "Attack!". Hercules beetle then charged in and rammed Gearfried with it's horn, destroying him.
Joey: 7400 - 400 = 7400
"I'll place this facedown and end my turn" said Moskii.
"My turn", said Joey drawing the top card of his deck. "I activate one of my Facedowns, Call of de Haunted. Now, I can brin' back one monstuh from my graveyard. So, welcome back Gearfried". His monster then returned.
"Next, I play, Level Deal", said Joey. "Now since yuh control a monster who's level is highuh than mine, I can summon a monstuh who's level is equal or less to dat monstuh's level. So everyone, welcome Giltia de Dark Knight". Joey's new monster was a human man with long blonde hair wearing green and silver armour with a purple cape and carried a spear.

"Next, I activate de mystical Polymerisashun", said Joey. "Giltia and Gearfried combine to form, Gilti-Gearfried de Magical Steel Knight!". His new monster had a head of spiked mustard blonde hair, and wore armour that was a combination of Giltia's and Gearfrieds.

"That's a new monster" said Manako.
"Now, Gearfried!", shouted Joey. "Attack huh Hercules Beetle! Magic Metal Axe Slash!". Gilti-Gearfried then swung his axe and sliced Hercules Beetle in half, destroying it.
Moskii: 7200 - 500 = 6700
"I activate two of my monstuh's abilities", said Joey. "Since he was fusion summoned only usin' monstuhs that were on de field, he can make a second attack durin' de battle phase. AND I'm allowed tuh add half his defence points tuh his attack points".
Gilti-Gearfried the Magical Steel Knight
ATK: 2700 + 800 = 3500
"That's not good" said Bastion.
"No shit, Sherlock" said Zombina.
"Now attack!", shouted Joey. "Squash huh Doom Dozuh!".
'Squash her. Squash her. Squash. Her. You're gonna get squashed the second you entered duel academy'. Moskii shook her head as Doom Dozer was destroyed.
Moskii: 6700 - 700 = 6000
'Why does this keep happening?', Moskii asked herself. 'Why do I keep hearing that voice? I, I need to win this. Otherwise, I'm on the first boat outta here'.
