Cruelty Day 16

Damian and Christina walked to Amethyst's classroom. They needed to stop by the office before they could join the little one. A new assistant was joining them. His name was Lex; he was the same age as Damian. They walked into the classroom, and over to Amethyst.

"Amí, sorry we got here a little bit late." Damian said to his little sister.

"It's okay, Dami and Chrissy, you had a meeting." Amethyst replied. Damian was glad she wasn't upset. He was trying to teach her to trust people again. Being on time, and apologizing when he wasn't, meant a lot to her. . Christina and Damian had Force-bonded with her, and had also begun training her in the Force. That helped with knowing where they were and being able to be calm when she couldn't visibly see them. Amethyst didn't like Lex. He wasn't like her brother, and his force presence confused the little girl. Amethyst watched him and stayed close to her brother. She was barely ever more than two feet away from him. Damian just thought that it was just one of those days that she needed extra comfort. So he decided to bring her with him on an errand for their Aunt. Natasha had noticed that Amethyst was uncomfortable.

"Amí, are you okay?" He asked.

"I guess. I just don't like the new assistant. His Force presence feels weird and murky," Amethyst explained. Damian understood why Amethyst had been uncomfortable. Now that he knew why, he aimed to watch Lex like a hawk. When they arrived back in the classroom, Lex was staring at them.

"Lex, is there a problem?" Damian asked.

"No, I don't think so," Lex replied, and so Damian went on with his day. Things looked like they were going well on the outside, but Damian was watching. He saw how Lex pulled Amethyst's braid. He saw that he would try to block her from getting to Damian. And he saw the way that she was scared of Lex. Lex was just plain cruel. The kind of cruelty he was displaying, not only to Amethyst, but to the rest of the little girls in the room, made Damian angry. Damian knew that Amethyst didn't like it when people touched her without permission. It made her scared. When Lex walked up to Christina and tried to touch her hair, Christina turned around, and grabbed his wrist.

"Excuse you. The only person ever unless I give others permission to touch my hair is Damian, so keep your hands to yourself." Christina snapped.

"Okay, okay no need to get so snappy darling." He said, smirking back at her.

"Bad move." Christina said as Damian came up behind her.

"Get your hands away from my fiancé right now." Damian growled, the tone in his voice brokering no argument, and scaring the crap out of Lex. It's probably the heavy Russian accent.

"Sure." Lex said as he dropped Christina's arm. Now instead of being smart and walking away; Lex decided to open his mouth and dig himself a bigger hole. "I didn't know she was taken." Lex said, which wasn't true literally everyone in the entire school knew she was taken.

"Are you blind? Did you literally not see the engagement ring on her finger? Also don't think I didn't see how cruel you've been to the little girls." Damian said.

"What are you talking about? That ring can't be real. I didn't do anything to the girls." Lex denied.

"Oh really, well I have an AI who says different." Christina said, telling Amethyst's AI Lavender to bring up the footage of Lex pulling her braid. Lex watched as the footage showed not only Amethyst, but half of the other girls in the room getting their hair tugged on by Lex. Then Lex said something really dumb.

"That's not me." He denied even though it was clearly him. Christina and Damian raised an eyebrow at each other.

"Really? Is that the best he can come up with?" Christina asked over their bond.

"I guess it is. You know we should take this to Principal Morita, maybe he can deal with this before I stop playing nice." Damian replied, Christina agreed.

"Come on Lex. Damian, you, and I are going to take a walk." Christina commanded with her Captain voice. Lex just nodded, finally realizing just how much trouble he was in. They walked down the hall, and into Principal Morita's office.

"Good morning, Sir." Damian said.

"Good morning Damian, Christina." Morita replied. "What brings you to my office?"

"Well, Sir, it's easier if I just show you." Christina said, then she played the footage from Lavender.

"Who is this boy?" Morita asked.

"His name is Lex, and he's right behind me." Christina answered.

"Young man, get in here." Morita commanded. Lex did as he was told. "These two students in front of me have come to me about a situation you started. You have ten minutes to tell me why you pulled those little girls' hair. That was cruel and uncalled for." Morita said, the ten minutes were up.

"I was just joking with them." Lex said.

"You call getting in their space, pulling their hair, and blocking them from getting other people's help joking with them?" Morita asked. Lex thankfully realized the depth of his actions and said.

"No Sir, I was in the wrong."

"Good, now that that is settled. You are no longer assisting the second grade teachers, and stay away from Christina. Unless you want Damian to be on your case." Morita said and dismissed the young man.
