I am back! Yes I know it has been awhile, but life has been hectic as I am a student reporter and a college student sooo the only time I have for writing is my articles and my papers. I am so sorry my darlings. I will try to do better! So this chapter correlates to The Adventures in Texting's Chapter 24: Sherlock Meets Mary. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters sadly. :(
Sherlock should have felt bad about leaving John sick in bed, but John was fine and he had plans with Molly. John would forgive him eventually. He arrived at her flat quickly as he was greeted in. Molly was dressing differently since they started "dating." Simple blouses, more skirts, tighter jeans and slacks were becoming her regular attire. Sherlock knew it was because she wanted to look good not just for him, but for herself. More self-confident he knew as her body language and speech told him that. Today was a blue ruffled blouse that cinched at the waist, showing off her tiny figure and dark jeans. Sherlock had to admit she looked very attractive.
"So how is everything?" Molly asked as she was making him a cup of tea.
"It has been quite dull," Sherlock confessed lying down on the sofa getting bored already, "You know what, forget the tea."
"You are bored and you just want to snog," Molly answered from the kitchen.
"Brilliant deduction," Sherlock quipped, "Now come here."
"You can't just come here and expect to start making out when you get bored," Molly called from the kitchen.
"Then why else did we plan to meet?" Sherlock asked as he heard Molly sigh. She came out with two mugs with a frown on her face.
"I thought this mutual understanding was more than just snogging," Molly said.
"It is. I like you Molly and I do like spending time with you, discussing your day, enjoying your company, but I have found kissing you is very enjoyable. If it will make you feel better, we will talk about you day after we kiss."
"That is not how it really works, but whatever," Molly gave up as she sat down her tea and gave Sherlock a kiss. Sherlock deepened the kiss as he felt his phone buzz. Ignoring that, Sherlock thought as he focused on the task at hand.
Again his phone buzzed. Molly was being far more interesting. Buzz. Dear lord leave me alone. Sherlock started to kiss Molly's neck as she began to make a very enchanting noise. Buzz. I am far too busy. Sherlock found Molly's lips again running one his hands down her side the other in her hair.
Buzz. "Leave me alone," Sherlock moaned as Molly looked at him with confusion, "No, not you my phone." Molly nodded as Sherlock looked down at his phone. Five texts from John all saying Lockie.
Sherlock texted back as John was clearly hallucinating about ice lava.
"Everything alright?" Molly asked as Sherlock continued to text.
"John has fallen ill and told me that there is ice lava in his room."
"You left John, home alone ill?"
"Yes. Is that a problem?" Sherlock asked.
"Yes, John is your friend and when your friend is sick you take care of them," Molly frowned.
"Sounds tiresome," Sherlock sighed as he already texted John that he was coming back to the flat Molly was going to make him anyways.
"It is," Molly said. This conversation went back and forth until Molly basically dragged Sherlock out of her flat.
Molly and Sherlock quickly made their way back to John. John's fever has risen since Sherlock left as he did feel guilty, sort of. Together they got John comfortable and went back downstairs. Just as they were relaxing on the couch there was a knock on the door. Sherlock quickly went down to his annoyance and opened the door to a blonde with shoulder length hair, height about the same as John's just a tad shorter, petite figure, light blue eyes and full lips. Mary Morstan.
"Miss Morstan," Sherlock said, "Surprise to see you here."
"Sherlock Holmes," Mary smiled, "Well John is sick and I am John's girlfriend, of course I would be here to see him."
"Right," Sherlock stared at her to intimidate her, but Mary made no sign she was going to anywhere.
"You going to invite me in or you really think staring at me is going to scare me off?" Mary scoffed.
Sherlock had to stop himself from insulting her as he promised John he would play nice. He moved out of the doorway inviting her in as she immediately went up the steps and Sherlock was right behind her. They both walked into the living area as Mary looked around the place with a small smile.
"Mary, this is my good friend, Molly Hooper. Molly this is John's girlfriend Mary Morstan," Sherlock introduced as they exchanged pleasantries.
"John must have texted you," Sherlock said as Mary sat down next to Molly.
"Obviously," Mary said as Molly giggled. Sherlock shot Molly a look, but she kept giggling.
"He text me that there was a hedgehog in his closet and I should come see it," Mary continued.
"He called Sherlock an otter," Molly giggled.
"You know Sherlock does look like an otter," Mary smiled as Sherlock held back an insult.
"He is no longer hallucinating and he seems to be fine according to what he has been texting me," Sherlock said.
"It is good of you to be taking care of him," Mary said sincerely.
"Thank you," Sherlock said, "You can go up to see him."
"I will," Mary said as she was already up. Mary made her way to John's room as Molly smiled at Sherlock.
"You were very nice to Mary," Molly observed.
"I promised John I would be," Sherlock said.
"Well I am proud of you," Molly smiled giving Sherlock a kiss on the cheek and hugged him laying her head on his shoulder. Maybe I should be nice more often, Sherlock thought as he held Molly close.
