A/N: I've been busy with tons of stuff-- school, work, personal life, and working on uploading my very first movie reaction on YouTube, but unfortunately, I'm having copyright issues with the video I'm trying to upload, and I don't have the patience or time to deal with that right now. By the way, if you guys want to show me some love and support on my YouTube channel, lookup elijahkinsale, I would very much appreciate it if you guys supported me there too, but if not, no sweat. Storywise, however, bounty hunters are gonna make a play to take Rapunzel away from Hiccup, and Rapunzel is going to get played by Flynn. I won't waste any more time here, let's get to it!

(Constantinople— de facto capital of the Roman Empire)

"Come, Hic! The night is young and there's so much to explore in the time that we have!"

After Hiccup had settled in the imperial palace and reunited with the emperor of Constantinople, he helped his beautiful companion get settled as well, however, once Rapunzel was settled and dressed in a light pink Roman dress, which threatened to make the Viking bounty hunter drool, she quite literally dragged Hiccup outside of the palace, eager to explore a portion of the city before the day ended, not that Hiccup had any complaints. Her desire to explore before the day's end made the young man adore his female companion's curiosity and passion for exploration, he too shared those qualities when he had free time to explore places he's never ventured before as well as discover new species of dragons. Whilst walking in the packed streets, Hiccup had to stop Rapunzel so that he could braid her hair and prevent people from stepping on it or allow the long, golden locks to be entangled in passing wagons or chariots carrying Roman soldiers. Once her hair had been braided, Hiccup bought a handful of flowers and placed them in Rapunzel's hair. When the last flowers were placed in her hair, Hiccup felt the breath fade from his lungs, seeing Rapunzel twirl around while beaming at him happily; her radiance put the sun to shame and Hiccup believed he was in the presence of a goddess, whose beauty rivaled any woman he had ever met, known, or heard about in stories.

Now free to explore the city without worrying about her hair being tangled or ensnared, Rapunzel took Hiccup's hand and led him to various merchant stands that sold unique, exquisite, and rare items. Even though they had eaten a savory meal with the emperor and his son, Hiccup had bought a sweet, delicious pastry for the two of them to share, much to Rapunzel's delight. Hearing her moans of contentment made Hiccup blush slightly and it made a traitorous body part fill out, he prayed that his blush and erection would fade and not ruin the moment. Thankfully, Rapunzel didn't notice his current state, she was busy offering Pascal a small piece of the treat, he accepted it happily, causing the blond to laugh lightly as her Chameleon tried to blend into the color of the treat that they were eating.

"Hey, this is a random question, but when's your birthday?"

Smiling, Rapunzel turned to Hiccup, satisfying his curiosity. "On the tenth of the fourth month," she then cocked her head curiously. "And you?"

"The ninth of the fourth month," he smiled before shrugging. "Seems like we get to celebrate each other's birthdays back to back."

"I guess so," chuckling, Rapunzel wiped the remnants of the treat they shared off of her hands with a napkin before raising an eyebrow. "What's the one thing you want the most for your birthday this year?"

Hiccup smiled softly and gave his answer. "To find a woman who accepts me for who I am and I return the favor. Life as a bounty hunter is very beneficial as far as earning coin is concerned, however, when I'm not taking any jobs, the loneliness is keenly felt," sighing, Hiccup shrugged. "I thought Heather might be the woman I was fated to be with, however, it seems that my gods have someone else in mind. And I think that someone is far closer than I initially realized." Tilting his head, Hiccup reached up to caress Rapunzel's cheek, causing her to gasp softly, though his touch didn't offend her, she found herself craving his touch more thoroughly. "How about you? What do you want for your birthday this year?"

Closing her eyes and smiling, Rapunzel sighed before opening her eyes and turning to Hiccup. "The same thing I've wanted for every birthday since I was a little girl-- to see the lanterns that appear in the night sky."

Humming, Hiccup recalled seeing the lanterns from a distance when he had finished making the final touches on his house in Germany. "Good to know," standing up, he then wiped his hands from the leftover crumbs sticking to his skin before holding a hand out for Rapunzel. "Shall we, my fair lady?"

"We shall, kind sir," mirroring his playful tone, Rapunzel took his hand and couldn't get over the wonderful feeling of their skin touching each other, it felt... right, natural.

As the duo continued walking together, hand in hand, they visited several female merchants selling dresses the likes of which Rapunzel had never seen before and decided she wanted to try some of the fine fabrics out. After showcasing herself in each of the dresses, Hiccup feared he might pass out because she looked stunning in every dress she tried out. He said as much as well, causing Rapunzel to become a blushing, giggling mess, but his comments and kind words reassured the lost princess that she was indeed desirable and beautiful.

She'd been taught not to trust anyone while locked away in that tower, however, Hiccup had more than proved himself worthy of her trust, not only that, but his kindness, gentleness, and keen intelligence were very appealing. Hiccup and everything that made him the man that he was were all things the opposite of what her... "mother" told her people on the outside were like. The resentment Rapunzel felt for Gothel intensified, she didn't know any better, and she believed the words of that conniving, vile woman who had taken her away from her true family. In truth, she had thought very little of the woman she believed to be her mother for so many years, however, there were lingering thoughts of how Gothel would venture out and find her so that she could lock her away where nobody would find her, it was a terrifying prospect, but a realistic one as well. After all, that woman would only be alive so long as she had access to her magic hair, Gothel would do whatever she would have to do in order to take back what she believes is... "hers," but Rapunzel wouldn't let that happen.

Finding that she favored three of the dresses she had tried out, Hiccup bought them for her, despite her objections, he insisted that he spoil her. After purchasing her new dresses, Rapunzel led Hiccup to a puppet show of how the imperial princess of their city's past sought to explore the world and met a handsome, charming swashbuckler who took her on the adventure of a lifetime. Amused by the play, Hiccup couldn't help but see the similarities between the play being presented to the audience and his current circumstances with Rapunzel. Once the play was over, the audience applauded before going their separate ways, Hiccup and Rapunzel, however, lingered a moment longer to talk.

"So, what did you think?"

Smiling at the beauty by his side, Hiccup shrugged. "I enjoyed it. In truth, I could see many similarities between that imperial princess and you,"

"Really?" Turning to face him, Rapunzel cocked her head. "How so?"

"Well, that princess, although she had everything she could ever want, the one thing she desired more than anything was to explore the world and go on an adventure that would change her life," placing a tender hand on Rapunzel's cheek, Hiccup smiled at her while caressing her face. "I hope that this adventure we're sharing together will change your life, for the better."

Placing a hand over the hand on her face, Rapunzel smiled. "Hiccup—"

"I know we haven't known each other long, but I need to tell you what's on my heart, Rapunzel," taking a deep breath, Hiccup mustered his courage and spoke. "You're unlike any woman I've ever encountered, and... I know that finding you and then delivering you back to your true parents in Corona was nothing more than another job to fulfill, however, the short time I've spent with you is making me feel things I haven't felt in a long time."

"W-Wait, are... you saying that—?"

"I'm fond of you, Rapunzel, very fond of you," he said quickly. His unoccupied hand rubbed the back of his neck and he chuckled nervously before shrugging. "I've already told you that because I've bonded with Toothless, I don't trust too many people, because they'll either try to collect a considerable profit by capturing Toothless, who's the last of his kind to warmongers like Drago Bludvist or they'll try killing me because they don't understand my lifestyle as a dragon rider. But you? When you're by my side, I... I feel freer than I've ever been. For so long I thought that I would be alone, but I can see myself being with you. I-If you'll have me, of course."

Giggling at the blush creeping across Hiccup's cheeks, Rapunzel removed his hand from her cheek and brought their now entwined hands to her face, kissing his knuckles, and shaking her head softly. "There. Was that so hard?"

"W-Wait, what do you mean?"

Her laugh made Hiccup realize that his feelings were not one-sided, his sentiments were shared by her as well. "Really? You... can see a future with me in it as well?" With her free hand, Rapunzel caressed Hiccup's face and nodded in confirmation. "Hehehe, w-wow," Hiccup's crooked grin made Rapunzel beam. "Honestly, I wasn't expecting you to share my feelings. Again, we haven't known each other long, but—"

Hiccup's nervous, excited rambling was silenced when Rapunzel placed a finger on his lips, effectively shutting him up and causing him to look into her eyes, her very soul, and see that she too held affection for him. "Hiccup, the time I've spent with you has made me realize that there's no other man I want to spend my time with," removing her finger from his lips, she blushed before continuing. "Yes, we haven't known each other long, but whenever we fly together, have fun, and just talk about silly things or deep meaningful things, I feel as though I've known you my whole life." Leaning in, she murmured so that only he could hear her. "I would love to be your woman and experience everything that there is about you, the good and the bad." She then looked at his lips before looking back up into his gorgeous eyes.

"And I you," he murmured while looking at her lips and then back into her eyes. "I know that with my fame, reputation, and wealth, I could have any woman that I want. But I don't want any other woman to spend my time with. Rapunzel, I choose you." His words were followed by action as he slowly began to lean in.

"And I choose you, Hiccup,"

As the two met halfway, their lips nearly came together to solidify their union as a couple, the two of them could feel excited flutters in their bellies, their hearts beat wildly, and their eyes began to close as they drew ever closer.

However, a dark chuckle rudely interrupted them from having their first kiss.

"Well well well, looks like the Dragon Rider has gone soft over a girl. How pathetic."

Whirling around, Hiccup gasped at the sight of the Stabbington Brothers, known competitors of his in the Bondsman Guild. Standing up, the former Viking heir grabbed Inferno while Rapunzel stood behind Hiccup. "Do yourselves a favor and walk away," he advised through gritted teeth. "You're not taking my bounty."

Grinning, Sideburns stepped forward. "By the looks of it, she seems more than just a bounty now. Just eyeballing it, I think you're developing feelings for the girl—"

"What if I am? You still think you and your one-eyed, mute of a brother can stop me?" Hiccup raised an eyebrow.

"Alone? No, of course not," Sideburns and Patchy drew their swords while sharing a grin before looking back at the Viking and lost princess. "Luckily, we didn't come alone."

Looking around him, Hiccup inhaled sharply as several notable bounty hunters he had crossed paths with over the years began to circle them. Rapunzel held on to Hiccup, she could hear her silent whimper of fear, but he cooed softly. "Punz, dragons call, just like we practiced, alright?" Nodding, both Hiccup and Rapunzel made their respective dragon calls. Within seconds, both Toothless and Bluster came down, surrounding their riders in a ring of fire, effectively preventing the now-advancing bounty hunters from rushing their prey.

"Jarg, now!"

Large wagons with tarps over them were suddenly ripped off, revealing former Dragon Hunters now bounty hunters of the Bondsman Guild. Jarg was a bald, clean-shaven adult man with a bulbous nose. He is thick and stout in stature. And he has seen many fights in his lifetime, both with men and dragons as he is missing his right eye and wears a wide black patch over it. The man himself and his band of hunters had bola launchers within the wagons and fired them at the dragons.

Roaring out, Toothless fired at the nearest bola before leaping over another, causing that bola to wrap tightly around a charging bounty hunter. Blust roared before standing on her hind legs and unleashing a torrent of fire from her underbelly at approaching hunters, lighting them on fire. Unfortunately, several more bolas wrapped themselves around Toothless and Bluster as more of Jarg's men arrived on wagons and had bola launchers at the ready.

"Now, get the girl!" Sideburns grinned at his fellow bounty hunters.

Knowing that the situation had escalated, Hiccup turned to Rapunzel. "Run!" And run she did, as fast as her legs could carry her. One hunter ran after her, but Hiccup drew a throwing knife tucked in his boot and hurled it with one precise throw. The knife embedded itself in the back of the hunter's head, killing them, and giving Rapunzel the time she needed to run and hide from the hunters after the bounty on her head.

"There's no chance that you all were hired by Corona's rulers," Hiccup ignited Inferno, and narrowed his eyes at Sideburns. "Who hired you?"

Chuckling, the man drew the sword behind his back while pointing his other blade at Hiccup. "That's confidential information, boy, you know how the game is played," his smug grin then turned into a murderous glare. "Everyone gathered here is hunters who don't fear you or your precious Night Fury. Let's see how long you can last without the aid of dragons." Sideburns then barked out. "Take him!" Patchy bore his teeth and rushed Hiccup with the intent of running him through, as did the other bounty hunters.

Hiccup quickly assessed the situation, Jarg and his men were former Dragon Hunters, therefore, they stayed back and had crossbows in hand, ready to fill both Toothless and Bluster both with bolts before he could even get the chance to cut them free from the bolas entangling them. The only chance he had was to fight his advancing attackers and then make a play for the dragons.

Either way, Hiccup was ready for a fight.

Quickly pulling a throwing knife out from one of his arm gauntlets, Hiccup hurled the projectile at the bola keeping Bluster ensnared. With that one precise throw, the Singetail was free and she unleashed a furious roar at Jarg's men before standing on her hind legs and releasing a wave of fire in their direction while also shooting fireballs out of her maw and tail at two of the wagons that held bola launchers, which were now reduced to charred wood and metal.

"Go, Bluster! Find Rapunzel!"

Roaring in acknowledgment, the Singetail took to the sky while evading arrows and bolts from Jarg's men. The banished Viking heir quickly turned to Patchy as the man had his teeth bore like a ravenous predator and his sword raised above his head. With a grunt, he brought his blade down, only for Hiccup to stop the silent Stabbington from splitting his skull open. As sparks flew, Hiccup knew that he was in for a tough fight.

He expected nothing less. After all, as both a Viking and bounty hunter, it was an occupational hazard.

Rapunzel pushed her way through the crowds of people while running for her life. She hated feeling so useless, she feared that Hiccup wouldn't be able to handle so many bounty hunters all alone, but then again, she had seen what he was capable of in combat. Still, she feared he would get severely hurt or worse.

"There she is!"

Whirling around, the blond beauty could see three of the hunters that had surrounded them earlier, now chasing after her.

"Get her!"

Letting out a cry, Rapunzel continued to run, so long as she was out in the open, she would be snatched away from Hiccup as well as Bluster. Constantinople's citizens cried out and exclaimed as Rapunzel pushed them out of her way while also checking to make sure her braid wouldn't come undone, if that happened, then the chase would be over. Pascal, who was firmly set on the blond's right shoulder acted as Rapunzel's eyes in the back of her head, the Chameleon make an alarming sound, causing the blond to look over her shoulder and gasp in fear as the bounty hunters drew nearer.

Rapunzel could feel her lungs burning, her breath fleeting with each passing moment, and her face was flushed as she continued to run. However, she released a shrill scream when a bola wrapped around her middle, wrapping her up tightly. Desperately trying to free herself, Rapunzel could see Pascal trying to untangle the bola wrapped around her body, but the small reptile was like trying to move an unmovable object.

"You didn't get very far, did you?"

Looking up at one of the bounty hunters now looming over her with a devious smile, he then crouched down to caress her cheek, but Rapunzel jerked her head back. "Oh, feisty, aren't you?" Chuckling in amusement, the hunter turned to his companions who had caught up. "Right, let's get her off the streets and away from prying eyes."

"NO!"

Kicking wildly at the hunters trying to pick her up, Rapunzel was both confused and surprised when one of the hunters grabbing at her feet was sent flying back into a nearby merchant's stand, causing their wares and valuables to shatter on the ground. Another one of the bounty hunters drew their blade to challenge the man perched on a white stallion, but they were quickly disarmed and the large horse landed a fierce kick into their chest, knocking the air out of their lungs. The final bounty hunter lashed out at the man, however, they too were disarmed of their blade and then received a kick to the head, as the bounty hunter tumbled to the ground, their head struck the ground with enough force to render them unconscious.

"Wow, you usually cause this much trouble, blondie?"

Sliding off of his horse, the man drew a knife, cutting the bola wrapped around Rapunzel off her. Scrambling to get back up, Rapunzel noticed a frying pan on the ground and snatched it up before lifting it up. "Stay back!" She said firmly.

Holding his hands up in surrender, the man gave her a nonchalant gaze. "Cute. What exactly are you going to do with that—?"

Rapunzel had struck that man across the face with the frying pan, causing him to crumble to a single knee and grasp the spot where he was struck. "OW! Hey, listen, I'm not with those men, blondie!" Standing back up, he held his hands up once again. "I'm here to help—"

"I don't need your help!" Rapunzel growled.

"No, you don't understand! I'm not a bounty hunter, I'm part of the Corona Guard!" He then brandished a round, gilded crest that bore the emblem of the Kingdom of Corona. "I was dispatched by Corona's king and queen to find their daughter and return you to them safely."

Lowering the pan in her hands, the blond gave him a look of skepticism. "You... serve my parents?"

"I do, princess. My name is Eugene Fitzherbert," he said with a soft smile, "oh, your parents will be overjoyed to find you alive and well." He stepped towards her, only for her to raise her pan up to his face. "Princess?"

Shaking her head, Rapunzel murmured. "How... would you know that I was here?" She could see Eugene tense before her eyes widened. "Unless you aren't who you say you are—"

"And I was told that you were naive. Guess the old lady was wrong about that,"

Her breath hitched. "W-What? What old lady?"

"Oh, my dear girl! I'm so relieved that you're safe and sound!"

Whirling around, Rapunzel gasped at the sight of a decrepit Gothel. Never had the lost princess seen the woman so... old before, of course, there were moments when her curly hair would have several streaks of grey, and her skin would wrinkle, but all of those imperfections would vanish once she would sing the song needed to preserve one's vitality. Seeing Gothel now, she was more dead than living; her voice was like taut suffocation. Her form is swollen and her skin is mottled with sickly translations that grips Rapunzel's stomach with disgust.

"Your thoughts are as open as your fears, my flower. Come, it's time for you to come with me and return—"

"Back to that prison of a tower? Never!" Rapunzel snapped. "I won't let you use my hair so that you can keep your youth even if it costs me having a life of my own!"

Gothel's face darkened, she then nodded at Eugene, who grabbed her from behind. "No! Let me go!" She shrieked while struggling to release herself from the man's firm hold. "I refuse to be your captive any longer, Gothel. You own me no longer!"

Closing the distance between them, Gothel took hold of Rapunzel's face, causing the girl to whimper in pain. "You are mine, now and for all time!" She seethed. "After all I've done for you, this is how you repay me? By running away and nearly killing me?"

"I owe you nothing," Rapunzel then spat in Gothel's face, the older woman recoiled while wiping the saliva off of her face. "All you've done is rob me of years of my life. I'm finally free and I won't let you or your minions wrest that freedom away from me." Backing up her words with action, Rapunzel bashed the back of her head against Eugene's.

"ARGH! My nose!"

Cradling his now bleeding nose, Eugene gasped when the blond snatched the pan she had dropped and hit him across the face, causing him to tumble to the ground. Turning back to Gothel, the blond inhaled sharply when she raised a sword to her face.

"Foolish girl!" Snarling, the older woman bore her teeth, "You will come with me, even if I have to cripple you!"

A familiar roar filled the air, whirling around, Rapunzel beamed as Bluster dove from the sky and tackled Gothel, causing her to drop the sword in her hand. Whimpering like a dog that has known nothing but abuse and mistreatment, Gothel held her hands up as Bluster loomed over her, each huff of the Singetail's breath caused the older woman to whimper in fear.

"As I said, I won't allow you to wrest my freedom away from me," while mounting her dragon, Rapunzel turned around to see Eugene slowly getting back on his feet, however, knowing he stood little to no chance against Bluster, he ran. Looking back down at the squirming Gothel, the blond beauty glared heatedly at her, with but a signal word, she could have Bluster reduce her to ashes as she should've been long ago... but that would be a kindness, and Rapunzel intended to see this woman who had robbed her of so many years of her life face justice.

"W-What now, Rapunzel? Huh?" Gothel groaned as Bluster pressed down harder against her. "Why not have your dragon finish me off?"

Snorting softly, she shook her head. "Don't tempt me," she then patted the Singetail's neck while silently telling Bluster to release Gothel. Lifting herself up on her elbows, Gothel was confused, but Rapunzel explained herself. "You abducted the future queen of Corona and who knows what else you're guilty of, but I'll leave that up to my real parents before they sentence you to the fate you rightly deserve."

Blanching at her words, Gothel stammered. "P-Please, Rapunzel—"

"I'm not the same girl you could manipulate and take advantage of, and keep your venomous words to yourself," Rapunzel then cupped her hands around her mouth and gave a vocal signal that would tell Hiccup where she was and what the state of her being was.

"What are you doing?"

Looking into the eyes of her "mother," Rapunzel glared at her. "Summoning the man I've grown fond of from the moment I left that tower," she then gave Gothel a sweet smile. "The Dragon Rider will undoubtedly gain a sizeable reward once he delivers the woman responsible for inflicting such hurt and pain on the rulers of Corona."

"Y-You wouldn't allow that... that savage to take me. Would you?" Rapunzel merely smiled and Gothel shuddered and mewled out pathetically. "P-Please don't!"

"Bluster, if you would be so kind, please," giving her rider a reptilian smirk, Bluster brandished her long tail and whipped it across the older woman's head, knocking her out cold. "Thank you, Bluster." Rapunzel caressed the Singetail's neck and scratched under her chin, causing the dragon to purr in acknowledgment as well as savor the affection she was receiving.

"He's just one man, you fools! GET HIM!"

Hiccup's reputation was not to be exaggerated nor underestimated, after locking blades with Patchy, he then broke their blade lock before freeing Toothless. Now free to kill those who dare to press him and his rider, Toothless covered Hiccup while the former heir of Berk cut down anyone who stood in his way. While running one of his opponents through, Hiccup ducked as an axe would've embedded itself in his head, instead, it struck the bounty hunter he had run through with Inferno, killing them. Removing his blade from his fallen opponent, Hiccup dove away as another axe was hurled in his direction, he then sprinted to a nearby wagon to take cover as those who were once Dragon Hunters raised crossbows and fired bolts in his direction. Toothless, who had finished killing off one of the stronger hunters turned to see that his rider was taking fire, he then looked in the hunter's direction before firing a plasma blast in their direction, sending them all back while being devoured by fire.

Back on his feet, Hiccup could see that the Stabington Brothers, a handful of hunters, as well as Jarg and what remained of his men were all that remained. "Here's what I'm going to do, I'm walking away from here with Corona's lost princess," pointing Inferno at his competition, he bore his teeth. "If you value your lives, walk away."

Sideburns growled and knew that he had few options, he and his brother could order what remained of the bounty hunters by their side to attack the man in possession of the biggest bounty the Bondsman Guild had to offer, however, if they did that, then they would all be dead in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, they could withdraw and try to intercept them before they returned to Germany and Corona.

Making the logical choice, Sideburns sheathed his swords. "Looks like you win, Dragon Rider, this time," he then nudged his Patchy, who too sheathed his blade while glaring at the young Viking and his Night Fury. "Time is money, and it's clear we've wasted enough time fighting you and your... pet," Toothless growled menacingly while giving those who attacked him and his rider a murderous glare. Sideburns, however, wasn't frightened of the Night Fury, instead, he looked back in Hiccup's direction. "You understand that this wasn't personal, right? It's just business, after all, the reward on that brat's head is enough to set a man up for life."

"Looks like you and your brother will need to keep working," Hiccup deadpanned while turning to Jarg and those that remained. "That includes all of you, leave now, and you won't die... today, anyway." Amongst the quiet, Hiccup could hear Rapunzel applying the vocal signal they had practiced together. Humming, he then climbed on Toothless' back and retracted Inferno's heated blade before clipping his weapon to his waist. "Stay out of my way, otherwise, I might not be so merciful to you and your brother, Sideburns." The duo then took to the sky, leaving the other bounty hunters behind.

Turning to Sideburns with a disbelieving scowl, Jarg jabbed him in the chest. "What was that, eh? I could've taken them!"

Looking into Jarg's eye, Sideburns sized the former Dragon Hunter up. "Oh yeah? Then why not call him back down here and back up your bold claim with action," instead, Jarg huffed while crossing his arms across his chest. "That's what I thought," Sideburns scoffed softly. "We'll get our chance, and when we do, that boy won't even see us coming."

Patchy turned to see a handful of citizens leading guards in their direction, clamoring about how many men had stolen their wagons for their own uses. Nudging his brother and pointing to the handfuls of Roman guards approaching, Sideburns groaned. "Boys, I think we've overstayed our welcome," he and Patchy made a run for it while barking out over his shoulder. "Unless you all want to be caged like animals, get moving!"

"Right!" Turning to his men, Jarg urged them to run. "Move it, all of you!"

While Sideburns and Patchy ran, the talkative of the two looked in the direction where Hiccup and Toothless flew off, causing him to snarl softly while still running. "Next time, Dragon Rider," he grunted while still running.

Nobody embarrasses the Stabington Brothers and gets away with it.

"Hiccup, I'm fine, trust me,"

Once reaching Rapunzel and Bluster, Hiccup slid off of Toothless and raced over to his blond companion, and checked her from head to toe for injuries. Taking her word for it, he then sighed in relief and placed his hands on her shoulders, looking down at her with a smile. "Thank Thor you're alright," blushing at their height difference and how concerned he was for her, Rapunzel noticed how his eyes landed on the unconscious Gothel on the back of Bluster.

"That would be my "mother," the woman who took me away from my real family and locked me away in that tower," Rapunzel spat with resentment before adding. "She wasn't alone, there was a man who impersonated one of my parent's royal guards. Eugene Fitzherbert, do you know him?"

Snorting, Hiccup nodded in confirmation. "The man's hubris is insufferable, he's not only a master thief but he uses his charm and wits to deceive his quarry. He didn't hurt you, did he?"

"No. But I hit him several times with a frying pan," lifting the pan up between them, Rapunzel shrugged. "It came in pretty handy."

Caressing the skin between her neck and shoulder, Hiccup murmured softly. "So long as you're safe, that's all that matters," he then glanced down at Rapunzel's lips before looking back up into her gorgeous eyes. "Listen, Rapunzel, what we were talking about earlier before we were so rudely interrupted, did... you really mean it?"

"Of course! Hiccup, I... you're everything I've ever wanted in a partner— kind, adventurous, open-minded, compassionate, and intelligent. Not to mention handsome," blushing slightly and feeling the butterflies swarm in her belly seeing that crooked grin of his, she cleared her throat before continuing. "The time I've spent with you made me realize something— we don't just complete each other because we're not halves. We're two wholes who move in synchrony with each other; we're each dancing to different songs, but the beats match up and they make room for each other. I don't need you in my life, Hiccup, I want you in my life. Every day I have a choice and I choose to spend my time with you," placing her hands on his face, she beamed while speaking softly, "I choose to open my heart to you." She then began to lean in.

Pulling her close, Hiccup too spoke softly. "And I won't give you any reason to regret allowing me into your heart." Following her example, he too leaned in, eager to kiss her for the very first time. "You complete me, Rapunzel." Finally, when their lips met, they both moaned softly as they kisses each other. As they wrapped their arms tightly around each other, Hiccup groaned at the taste of Rapunzel's lips, they tasted divine, as he felt sparks flying everywhere, never before did he feel like this with any other woman.

Rapunzel felt as though her heart would burst out of her chest, in the very short time they'd spent together, she never would've imagined that she was now in a relationship with the "Dragon Rider," however, after all, that they'd been through together in such a short amount of time had pushed them close together, and now here she was, kissing the man she had grown great affection for.

Kissing Hiccup felt natural, it felt right.

She knew that her experience in relationships and real-world situations was nonexistent, but spending time with Hiccup had taught Rapunzel that he was very patient with her, something she appreciated a great deal. So long as he continued being patient with her and respected her, their relationship would blossom into something beautiful.

For Hiccup, he feared that he would never find the woman of his dreams, but now, as he and Rapunzel kiss passionately and shamelessly, he felt complete with her in his arms.

He had finally gained the woman of his heart's desire.

And by all the gods of the Æsir, he would ensure that no man ever measured to him or that no man would wrest her from his arms. So long as he had breath in his lungs, he would fight for her and he would see their newly birthed relationship grow and mature.

A/N: Again, I apologize for the wait, but real life does happen, not with responsibilities but with social life as well. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and don't worry, the Vikings of Berk and those allied with them will reach Corona soon enough, and Hiccup will face his past and stand in the way of the Vikings from taking Corona and all its riches. Until then, stay tuned for more, and I'll see you next time!
