(One month later)
A month has passed since Jaune Arc, first year student and leader of team JNPR was teleported to the Pokemon World by Mew, right after the new species Pokemon misunderstood what he said and thought that Jaune agreed to go to the Pokemon world winning reality he did not, he just chose his words very loosely in it ended up costing him greatly!
After all, because of his poor choice of words he ended up being separated from his friends, his family, his dreams, and even his own world as he was teleported to a world that was completely alien to the one he was used to as there was no Grimm to threaten humanity, even with the idea that Pokemon were stronger than Grimm!
But unfortunately or fortunately for Jaune, he doesn't exactly remember things that way as he believes he actually did agreed to go to the Pokemon world as he ended up hitting his head on a large rock when he was teleported to the region of Paldea, as now he believes he agreed to the idea of being teleported to the Pokemon world!
But that was the last thing on his mind as currently he was staying with a kind old woman who took him in after she saved his life from drowning, as Aura does not protect someone from drowning!
And said old woman who saved his life pulled some strings with some connection she had and had Jaune Arc enrolled in the local Pokemon School in Paldea, Naranja Academy!
As for Jaune himself, currently he was getting ready for his first day as Naranja Academy was the most prestigious School in the land, so he needed to make a good first impression!
Currently Jaune I'm still with staying in the guest room of the old woman who took him in, reading a book about Pokemon basics as he was wearing the uniform that was sent for him by Naranja Academy.
Jaune was wearing a white button-up shirt instead of his usual hoodie. Instead of a piece of armor in front of him he now had an orange tie tied around his neck. On his legs instead of his jeans were a pair of orange dress pants with orange stripes, along with a black trainer belt and black suspenders to keep his pants on. The only thing he wore from his original outfit was his pair of sneakers as he didn't like wearing a pair of dress shoes as he felt like if he was going to go move around in an academy all day, he would need comfortable shoes!
"Okay, so Pikachu is known as the mouse Pokemon. And Pokemon like Raticate and Sandshrew are also known as the mouse Pokemon... fascinating"said Jaune to himself as he was reading a book about the subject of many different categories of Pokemon.
But before he could go on to the next page he heard the doorbell ring, indicating there was someone outside the house who needed something or wanted to give something.
"Jaune, there is someone outside! Can you please check the door to see who it is?!"yelled an old woman's voice from downstairs.
"I'm on it, Mrs Lopez."said Jaune, before he quickly got up from his chair and began making his way down the steps that led to the guest room he has been using over the last month.
Jaune knew better than anyone who that voice belong to as it belonged to Mrs Lopez, the woman who not only saved his life from drowning but also the individual who took him in when he had nowhere else to go and the person who was responsible for enrolling him into Naranja Academy as she is old friends with some of the teachers there.
Jaune knew that although she was strict, Mrs Lopez was a kind soul who took care of him when she didn't have to and even when it's so far as to lend him her house for a month while she made the necessary preparations to get him enrolled into Naranja Academy.
Jaune of course was ever so grateful and did everything he could to help out on the house like washing the dishes, mopping the floor, taking care of the garden when Mrs Lopez had a bad back, cleaning his room, taking out the trash, etc.
So checking to see who was at the door was not anything different from what he was used to as it was the least he could do for Mrs Lopez after everything she has done for him.
So Jaune made his way to the first floor of the household and quickly made his way to the front door, and as soon as he turned the knob he saw who was at the door who he quickly recognized.
The person who was at the other end was an older gentleman with snow white hair that was neatly well camped. He had circular specs in front of his eyes, and was wearing what you could describe as an orange suit jacket with premier balls sewn onto the pockets. He was also wearing white dress pants with fancy dress shoes, a black button-up shirt that had looked like it had been neatly steam pressed, and some kind of white rope like scarf around his neck.
Jaune you immediately who this was as this was Mr Clavell, the director of Naranja Academy!
"You must be Master Jaune, it's a pleasure to meet you."said Mr Clavell as he extended a handshake.
"I am! But how did you know who I was?"questions Jaune as he shook Mr Clavell's hand.
"I do my best to remember the faces of all my students as it is the least I can do as my job as director of Naranja Academy."said Mr Clavell, and Jaune in that moment immediately understood that this man was the common serious type who did everything he ever did with absolute certainty.
Mr Clavell when someone who thought through everything in his plans and went through with them no matter how far he went!
"Oh my, Mr Clavell, what is the director of Naranja Academy doing all the way out here and Coco Poco?"questions Mrs Lopez that she was wiping her hands on her apron.
"I came personally to give something we forgot to send Master Jaune when his acceptance letter was mailed to him."said Mr Clavell to Mrs Lopez.
"Oh my, that's the first time you've ever been so careless."said Mrs Lopez with a shocked look on her face, as her old friend was usually never this careless..
"Please forgive my careless actions as trying to take the reins from the previous director has not been easy on my physical and mental health and I'm doing everything I can in order to get the academy in tip top shape once again."said Mr Clavell, although his face said that he didn't like giving excuses as he felt like no matter what he should have done his job properly.
But that's the impression both Jaune and Mrs Lopez were getting from a facial expression.
"Oh, now don't overwork yourself my old friend as you're only human and humans tend to make mistakes. No one in this fast world is perfect and there's no such thing as perfect as everyone has their flaw one way or another."said Mrs Lopez, who felt like her old friend was putting too much pressure on himself.
"I suppose you are right... Anyway, Master Jaune, will you please join me outside so I can personally give you the item that was supposed to come with your acceptance letter."said Mr Clavell, who for some stood like a soldier at attention.
"Of course... I'm already packed up and ready to go so going outside is no problem."said Jaune, before he reached for the leather backpack that the school had provided him and placed it over his back.
"Excellent, now just step outside and I will show you something truly wondrous."said Mr Clavell, before he began backing away outside, or more specifically to the front yard.
Jaune was confused by this but just shrugged his shoulders before he followed the director out to the front yard as well, with Mrs Lopez close behind them as she wanted to know what her old friend was planning to do with the young man she took in under her care.
"All students of Naranja Academy are provided with starter Pokemon. Since you are now officially a student of Naranja Academy, Master Jaune, I say it is important that you acquire a starter Pokemon of your own so that is why I'm here. To give you a starter Pokemon to begin your journey with."said Mr Clavell, before he pulled out three pokeballs from his pockets.
'If he has regular pokeballs why does he have premier balls sewn onto his jacket?'wondered Jaune as that made no sense but he decided to ask those questions later as for now he needed the focus on the three Pokemon that were about to appear in front of him.
"Come on out, my beloved Pokemon."said Mr Clavell, before he tossed the pokeballs in the air.
And as soon as they were in mid-air they opened up and released a stream of energy towards the ground, and set energy quickly turned into Pokemon!
The first pokémon look like a green cat.
"Say hello to Sprigatito, the grass cat Pokemon."said Mr Clavell, identifying the first Pokemon.
The second Pokemon look like a red combination of an apple and a crocodile.
"This is the fire croc Pokemon, Fuecoco."said Mr Clavell, identifying the second Pokemon.
And the third pokémon look like a white duck with a blue pompadour on its head.
"And this is the duckling Pokemon, Quaxly."said Mr Clavell, identifying the third Pokemon he had in his possession.
Each pokémon look unique and was honestly adorable as Jaune knew that Sprigatito was a grass type Pokemon, Fuecoco was a fire type Pokemon, and Quaxly was a water type Pokemon!
Each Pokemon had their advantages and disadvantages over their fellow Pokemon species, and each one of them can learn a set of moves that was unique to that Pokemon, that no other could learn!
Meanwhile each pokémon could have an advantage in one situation and a disadvantage in another and all it depended on was the trainer as even when they were in a case against the type of disadvantage, a proper trainer could help their pokémon get through that horrible time and become an even stronger Pokemon, possibly even achieving evolution if that Pokemon and question is capable of achieving evolution!
"Wow, they're so cute and cool!"said Jaune, causing the three starter Pokemon to wander towards him.
"Wow, that is the first time those Pokemon have left my side. Perhaps they are more interested in new you over little old me."said Mr Clavell, who was amazed by how well these Pokemon quickly went over to Jaune as they were more on the shy side.
"So, which one of these Pokemon should I choose?"Jaune questions himself as he knows he can only choose one, and that one Pokemon will decide the rest of his team from here on out.
"Hmm... perhaps you can make your decision when I walk down the street as I have business with the large home over there. Take all the time you need Master Jaune, and I will be with you shortly."said Mr Clavell, before he politely excused himself and began walking away.
"Always has to be a dandy gentleman in the end. Well Jaune, before I forget here, I got you a present."said said Mrs Lopez that she handed the young man something he did not expect.
As Jaune never expected Mrs Lopez to give him a Rotom phone of all things!
"I can't possibly accept this!"said Jaune, who felt awkward accepting the gift as Mrs Lopez has already done so much for him, meaning he has no idea how he was able to pay her back.
"Oh, stop thinking about paying me back as I did what I did just because I'm a good person and you needed help. That's the most important thing at the end of the day and that's all that matters! So stop your belly aching over repaying me and just have fun with this Rotom phone as you need to know your way around, and luckily this Rotom phone has the map feature."said Mrs Lopez before she slapped Jaune in the back.
"Now walk with these three little ones and decide which one will become your starter Pokemon as I don't want you taking up too much of Mr Clavell's time as he is a busy man who dedicates everything to his students."said Mrs Lopez, causing Jaune to bow his head to her.
"Thank you for everything you have done and I hope I can repay the debt I owe you one day."said Jaune, before he lifted his head up.
"Oh, don't even think about paying me back as there's no way I'll accept it. You just leave your life to the best of your ability young man and me a nice young lady along the way, after all it is the young who lead the world as the next generation I prepare the world for the next next generation."said Mrs Lopez with a smile, before Jaune smiled back as he began to walk towards the rich house at the end of the block.
'I wonder who lives there as I've never seen anyone come out of that house... not that they need to as they have everything one would need to live in that house.'said Jaune, that's not only was there a garden filled with fruit, but even a private beach behind that house.
"Maybe someone who lives in that house goes to Naranja Academy as well."said Jaune, as that's the only explanation as to why Mr Clavell was there that made sense to him.
"Now... which among these little ones should I pick as they all look so cute and cool and I bet each one of them has their advantages and disadvantages over the other m"said Jaune, before he felt something tugging at his leg.
That is when he looked down to see Sprigatito heading his leg with a cute look on its face.
"So cute..."said Jaune, before he noticed that the fire cr oc pokémon was staring at the nearby sign that said Coco Poco for some reason.
"Well that's not something you would expect."said Jaune, before looking over to see where the duckling Pokemon was only to see that it was staring at the ocean.
"I'm not surprised considering it is a water type Pokemon?"said Jaune, as it just made sense that the water type Pokemon was staring at the ocean.
"Now, this is going to be harder than I thought as I like these three a lot."said Jaune, although he knew he couldn't choose all three of them as only one was allowed by the school rules.
So he had to choose one as a starter Pokemon but which one...?
"Well, we better get to that house so we can meet up with Mr Clavell, as I think I've already made my choice. Let's just hope I made the right choice."said Jaune, before he and the three pokémon began making their way to the rich looking house at the end of the block.
As Jaune got closer to the house he saw it was like a mini Mansion as they look like it was owned by someone from a well refined background. Jaune was amazed by this as he hardly knew any other people with that kind of money, besides his kind of friend back home Weiss... although he doubted she considered him a friend...
"Wow,...Huh...Mr Clavell must have left the gate unlocked. Well at least that makes things easier as to get inside as I don't see a doorbell anywhere so let's head in guys...guys?"said Jaune, before he turned around to see that Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly were nowhere to be seen as they were not standing where they originally stood!
"Oh, what in the name in Arceus?!"shouted Jaune, before he began turning around over and over again to look for the pokémon in question as he wanted to know where they went!
And he soon got his answer when he heard a commotion in the front yard of the house he was supposed to enter...as once again there was no doorbell near the gate... but Jaune didn't care about that right now as he made his way inside where he saw the three pokémon he was supposed to be taken care of running around playing in the front yard!
Quaxly was busy in the nearby phone and messing with it's pompadour feathers...hair... whatever...
Sprigatito meanwhile was busy sniffing some flowers, before it suddenly sneezed and caused many of the flowers petals to fly off into the wind!
Fuecoco on the other hand was about to eat an apple that just dropped from the nearby Apple tree when the flower petals pass by it, causing it to sneeze out some fire which burnt the Apple.
And it was in that moment someone touched Fuecoco to see if it was okay.
That is when Jaune saw something he didn't expect when he saw a beautiful girl was the one who had touched the fire croc Pokemon.
He had long black hair tied in a ponytail with a bit of green streaks popping out of her forehead. She had tan skin and beautiful Amber eyes, with some freckles on her face that honestly added to her appeal. She was wearing a white short sleeve button-up shirt with the Naranja Academy logo, orange tie, orange shorts with orange stripes, black leggings, and orange running shoes. But the most distinguishing thing about her was the orange and black arm brace around her right arm.
"Are these three your Pokemon?"asked the girl with a smile on her face that she approached Jaune.
And before Jaune could answer her, Mr Clavell came out of the house and decided to explain to her what was going on.
"I'm afraid that Master Jaune has yet to make his choice."said Mr Clavell, as Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly walked up towards Jaune.
With Fuecoco still holding the burnt apple with the intention of eating it... only to be stopped by Quaxly last minute, causing the fire croc Pokemon to put the burnt apple down in a funny fashion, making everyone laugh.
As soon as everyone stop laughing that's when they turned their attention to one another, with the girl particularly looking at Jaune.
"Well you must be the guy who fell out of the sky a month ago. I heard you've been staying with Mrs Lopez this whole time and I've always wanted to meet you. My name is Nemona, and it's a pleasure to meet you."said Nemona, identifying herself.
"Miss Nemona is actually the student council president of Naranja Academy, and she also happens to be in the class you will be attending with Mr Jacq."said Mr Clavell, making the girl known as Nemona appear to be excited.
"Yes! Not only do I get to meet the guy who fell out of the sky, but he is also in my class. It's nice to meet you neighbor, do you want to be friends and rivals?"questions Nemona.
"Sure. My that always tells me that friends are just strangers you haven't met yet."said Jaune, who was glad to have such a good person right off the bat for his first day of Naranja Academy as his friend.
As there were many advantages of being friends with Nemona, and she's probably very smart considering the fact she's the student council president... and she's easy on the eyes as well...
'Wait, where did that come from...?' thought Jaune, before he turned his attention back to Mr Clavell and the three Pokemon he brought with him.
"Master Jaune, have you made your choice on which of these three Pokemon you wish to have as your starter Pokemon?"questions Mr Clavell as he waited for Jaune to give an answer.
"I already made my choice Midway through the walk as so far he is the only Pokemon who has shown me any attention or interest in becoming my starter Pokemon."said Jaune, before he looked at the Pokemon in question.
"Sprigatito, I choose you."said Jaune, deciding to go with the grass cat Pokemon as Sprigatito was the only one who showed him any interest.
"Sprig!"said the grass cat Pokemon as he jumped into his trainer's arms, before perching on his shoulder.
"I can already tell that you two are going to be the greatest of friends, Master Jaune."said Mr Clavell with a smile on his face.
"OMG I can't believe you picked Sprigatito Jaune...I mean...You and that cutie are just perfect for one another as I had a feeling you were going to choose Sprigatito."said Nemona, before an idea appeared in her head and she decided to talk to Mr Clavell.
"Mr Clavell, is it okay if I take one of these Pokemon with me as well?"questions Nemona, causing the professor to look back at her.
"Miss Nemona, did you not receive a Pokemon when you first entered the academy?"questions Mr Clavell.
"No I did not. I was busy training other Pokemon at the time so I wasn't interested in getting a new Pokemon. But now that Jaune is a member of our school I have a feeling that I need to have a Pokemon around his level that way we can be proper rivals."said Nemona, who thought that was the only way things would stay fair.
"That is a splendid idea and I'm sure the Pokemon you choose will be happy to go with you."said Mr Clavell, before Nemona looked at the Pokemon she wanted to be her partner.
"Quaxly, I choose you!"said Nemona, who decided she wanted to go with the duckling pokémon as she just love those feathers that looked like a pompadour.
"Quax!"exclaimed the duckling Pokemon with joy as he appears to have chosen Nemona as well.
"I can also tell that you and Quaxly will be the greatest of friends like Master Jaune and Sprigatito will be the greatest of friends as well."said Mr Clavell with a smile on his face, as he was glad that so many Pokemon and humans were becoming quick friends.
"Jaune! Now that you and I have pokémon we just have to have a Pokemon battle as I love pokémon battle! It it's so much fun and I can never get enough of it! Meet me by the beach and we will have a battle on the battlefield on the beach."said Nemona, before she ran off to her family's private beach.
"Woah..."said Jaune, as he hasn't seen a girl with that kind of passion for battling since Yang, and maybe Ruby.
"As you can see Miss Nemona is quite fond of Pokemon battling. But I do suggest you have a pokémon battle with there is only through battle your Pokemon will grow stronger."said Mr Clavell, causing Jaune to look at his starter Pokemon, Sprigatito.
"Do you want to have a Pokemon battle against Nemona?"questions Jaune, and the grass cat Pokemon responded by jumping off of his shoulder and appeared to be pointing his paw towards the beach.
"I'll take that as a yes."said Jaune, who quickly figured out that his partner Pokemon loves to battle.
"Now let's head off to the beach!"said Jaune with certainty, even though on the inside he was extremely nervous as it wasn't every day you were going to take on a trainer more experienced than him.
And that was especially the case as he was going to take on the student council president of his new school!
[After having spent a little over a month in the Pokemon world, Jaune officially begins his journey as a Pokemon trainer by enrolling in the school known as Naranja Academy! Now Jaune and his new starter Pokemon Sprigatito must battle the student council president of Naranja Academy, Nemona! Does Jaune how would it take to win his first ever Pokemon battle? Well I carefully counted the votes over and over again, including the votes through people known as guests and through private message. And by one vote... Sprigatito won!
I'm honestly not surprised as I have several theories as to why the grass cat Pokemon won!
One) It is the partner Pokemon of the new protagonist of the Pokemon anime, Liko!
Two) Jaune needed a grass type starter as I have not given him a grass type starter before any of my stories!
Three) This is possibly a way to redeem the Curious Cat from volume 9... or something like that.
Four) Jaune's time in the Ever After possibly represents the nine lives of a cat... and the fact that he's young again also has something to do with that as that at least one person said that in a private message.
Five) Sprigatito it's the most popular starter Pokemon in Paldea.
Those I just some of the theories I have and although some people kept on changing their minds over and over again... I'm glad to see that the grass cat Pokemon has finally been decided on as this was not an easy volt system as it was a close race, a really close race but at the end of the day the grass cat Pokemon one and I hope everyone can accept that.
