Primalbot22:Hmm, I'll think about it but to the Terrans, T7-01 does look like a trash can to them, and also unlike the rest of humanity in the star wars galaxy and Earth too is because...huuu...well...a genetic distinction exists between terrans of the Koprulu sector and their earth-born counterparts, due to the formers genetically aberrant ancestry. If you know what I mean.

Hell, they're basically the scrappy improvisers of Starcraft, relying on cobbled-together technology and a resilient spirit to spread Southern hospitality around a cold and unfeeling universe. Rambunctious outcasts from a dignified civilization, roam the fringes of the galaxy armed with over-the-top weaponry: flamethrowers, rocket launchers, and whatever other explosive devices they can get their mitts on.

In simpler words, space rednecks with big guns.

Downfall of a droid

It was like she was in an endless state of torture.

With each passing vision, the nightmares grew worse. All range from bad, to petrifying, to downright horrifying. The first was what she would label as just that: a nightmare. A figure, no-a-dark warrior tormented by guilt, laying waste to...a planet! Blue eyes filled with barely contained sorrow. It wasn't real. It shouldn't be real.

The vision changed. Someone or something holding her up with some invisible force. Organic armour, glowing orange eyes, and two skeleton wings as her right arm outstretched, the other holding a ball of unknown energy.

Then she spoke: "I knew your kind would find a way here... eventually. Can you hear them? little Jedi, whispering from the stars. The galaxy will burn upon their coming. And our petty conflicts mean nothing now! A storm is coming and cannot be stopped. Fitting that we should face oblivion together, for fate cannot be changed. The end comes and when it finds me. I shall embrace it at last"

She was pulled forward, and a large hand grabbed her throat. The being changed, this time by a figure encased in green and black armor. It looked humanoid, its glowing eyes flaring in anger. Like the one before it, it spoke with hate and contempt." You and your order had no idea what they have done?! Just like the Conclave, you are all blinded to the true threat ahead! And in your arrogance, you have let swarm spread unchecked!"

The vision ended, and something hit her from behind. She fell and bathed in darkness. It burned her, sapping the life out of her as she struggled to move her head. When she finally did, she saw a massive creature, face hidden, shooting electricity from its eyes. As she spasmed on the ground, her vision grow dark, she heard one final declaration, and it chilled her to the core: "With this body, all protoss are mine! And I will shatter this...Corrupt cycle. You and the rest of the Jedi will stand against me!"

Ahoska shot up from her bed. Panting and sweating from the intense and vivid dream.

"Was it a dream?" Ahsoka pondered as she placed a hand on her head, smoothing the aching pain. She slides her hand across her arm, picking up the sweat that built up from her intense dream. She sat there, on her bed, thinking back at the images that came at her.

"A dream...it was just the same dream?" She said out loud to herself, unable to make any sense of the vision she received. swinging her legs, her feet made contact with the cold floor. She sat inside her room in her cabin on the GAR Resolute. Ever since she became Skywalker padawan, she had participated in the war in more ways than in combat. Although she has not played such an active part in the first years of it, such as Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker or Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, but know she was given her chance, much like any other Jedi part of the war.

After suffering from multiple defeats by the tinnie general Grivous, which was weakening the Republics' foothold in the Galaxy's Outer Rim. The cyborg general invaded several planets and blockaded several important hyperspace routes leading to Bespin, Kessel, and Mon Calamari in the space of a single month.

Much like every other mission, she and her master were to reinforce one of the Republic fleets in the Outer Rim territories. But this time it was different, Republic spies have actual intelligence that General Grievous would attack Bothawui in the Bothan Space region of the galaxy's Mid Rim.

The planet was considered to be strategically important by the Republic's High Command, also known as Republic Strategic Command, and the Jedi Council agreed. Sending a fleet of three Venator star-destroyers to protect the planet under the command of her master, General Skywalker.

Looking at the time, she noticed that she really only had about a few hours of sleep. With that being brought up, it brought her attention back to the dream she just had. Of the structure of impossible size, an enemy that can consume all of life. It sounded like something from fiction. But it certainly unnerved her as well, why is she keep seeing the same dreams? What's the meaning? Is there a meaning? Is it foreshadowing events that will play out in the future, or was it some meaningless dream she just happened to have?

She shook her head and stood up from her bed. She began warm-up stretches, to prepare for the tasks ahead of her. On top of her duty as a Jedi padawan, she also had the duty of being a commander in the Grand Army of the Republic. At times her duty as a Padawan learner and commander would conflict and would be much stress for her. So stretching was a means of relieving the tension in her body, ready for the day ahead. As she was finishing up, a knock on her door interrupted her.

Standing straight up, Ahsoka began putting her clothes on to be more presentable. A moment later, she answers the door. There stood a friendly face in uncertain times. A clone, a friend, a clone trooper of the 501st. It felt only weeks since they met on Christophsis, and Ahsoka already consider the clone captain a dear friend. Wearing a unique armor set with blue markings and a pauldron indicating that he is a captain belonging to the 501st legion. Captain Rex was like a second teacher to her in a way.

"Commander, General Skywalker is requesting your presence in the hangar," Rex reported to the younger Togruta. She may be part of the Order, but it didn't mean she wasn't a friend and an honorable person. It was one of the many reasons why he liked the Padawan.

"I'll be right there, Rex. Just give me a minute to get my things." Ahsoka said. The clone captain nodded and waited for her outside.

The Clone captain looked uneasy, which was something that Ahsoka completely understood. The events surrounding what led to Rex being chosen were understandable for the Torgruta. Although much like other living being, she sensed a bit of anxiety, as the plan weighed heavily on the head clanker taking the bait. She didn't know how to describe her feelings toward how risky the plan is or her master's unorthodox strategy, much more so after what would happen if it fails.

But now, thinking about her master's plan, it just might work. Yes, there were some risks, but Anakin was confident that Grievous would walk into the trap. The look of confidence and enthusiasm reflected that to what Ahsoka was starting to feel. However, she has no idea what Skywalker wanted to her for. But whatever it is Ahsoka hoped it wouldn't get them all killed.

Grabbing her lightsaber and attaching it to her utility belt before leaving her room for the bridge.

Walking through the halls of the Jedi cruiser or more commonly known as a Venator Star destroyer. Designed by Lira Wessex to feature a double-wedge design and perform a wide range of missions, the Venator was the first real warship to be manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards. Alternatively known as the Republic cruiser, Republic attack cruiser, or Republic star Destroyer, it was a versatile capital ship capable of serving as both a combatant in ship-to-ship naval warfare and a starfighter carrier, while also being employed as a troop transport, cargo ship, and supply and replenishment vessel.

As the backbone of the Galactic's naval forces during the start of the clone wars, the Venator was commonly employed by the Jedi generals of the Grand Army of the Republic as their flagships, thus earning the moniker of the Jedi cruiser.

As she was passing one of the clone quarters a group of clones was listening to the announcer from HoloNet News.

After suffering a series of disastrous defeats at the hands of General Grievous, the Republic's foothold in the outer rim is in Jeopardy!

Commissioned to protect the strategic world of Bothawui, Anakin Skywalker and his weary battle group are all that stands between the system and domination by the droid army. . .

Ahsoka flinched. Battle-wearing would be an understatement. Their first battle with Grievous was almost a disaster, forcing them into a fighting retreat. All the while Republic propaganda was trying to make it sound more grim as it is, and making it more dramatic.

Once she arrived at the bridge it was full of activity. A number of clones were new recruits to the one they lost during the fighting worst of all admiral Wullf Yularen was injured during one of those battles. Now he's in the hospital on Coruscant, slowly recovering from his wound. However, that doesn't mean the war will stop and wait for them.

When Ahsoka reached the bridge she could see Anakin and Obi-wan were already talking to each on the current situation they were in. And the upcoming battle they were about to fight. Sensing his padawan's arrival. He turned around to face the young torgruta with a smile on his face.

"Hi snips, I hope you sleep well," Anakin said, as his tired padawan walked up beside him.

"I was until Rex's arrival, sky guy," Ahsoka said rubbing her eyelids.

Anakin could see that Ahsoka was telling the truth because of the purple bags under her eyes. A small part of him wanted her to continue resting for a few more hours. However, with General Grivous closing in they would need all hands on deck for the plan they would need to put forward. Obi-Wan on the other hand didn't see it that way as just he nodded his head.

"Good with you're padawan here we can begin the meeting."

"Among our recent losses at the battle of Fallen The separatists fleet commanded by General Grievous is heading your way," Obi-wan warned them.

"Seems like the coward always knows where and when to attack us," he said, sounding irritated at the very thought.

"You're heavily outnumbered, Anakin. I advise retreat." Obi-Wan said insistence in his voice.

"If we run, the Separatists will take control of this sector they'll use it to push even deeper into the mid-Rim. I can't let them do that," he replied, his mind made up.

"And that is your problem," Obi-Wan told him, sounding a bit disappointed, Ahsoka spoke up in agreement.

"Master Kenobi is right. We should regroup, we don't stand a chance against-"

"Ahsoka." Anakin interrupted in a scolding tone but she ignored him and continued, "Suicide is not the Jedi way, Master."

"You should listen to your padawan," Obi-wan suggested

"As you listen to your first, my old master?" he asked rhetorically, before shaking his head.

" No, we are going to stay and fight." Then he pulled out a hologram on the viewer an AT-TE with a few clones surrounding it appeared, "And I think I know how to beat Grievous at his own game." he said while smirking.

A few hours later a fleet of six Munificent-class frigates came out of hyperspace, right out outside of Bothawui's asteroid belt. Grievous, reasoning that an attack from above would render his ships susceptible to enemy fire, ordered his fleet to move in to attack by approaching through Bothawui's asteroid belt, which, in addition to transferring power to forward shields, protected his ships from Skywalker's fleet.

Anakin had already left the hangar to help ward off the attack with Gold squadron, leaving Ahsoka to monitor them on the viewers while the few clones that were still on the bridge started working on their personal consuls to get the ship's main guns into position.

"Resolute command to Gold leader. We are standing by." Ahsoka informed Anakin.

"Enemy is closing to zone six." A clone behind her said, pointing towards the viewer on his side.

"Patience, Ahsoka." Anakin finally replied back through the intercom. The same clone started counting down "Zone four." Ahsoka looked at the viewer more intensely. He counted once more, "Zone three." Ahsoka gripped her elbows more tightly.

The ships kept getting closer until they were right on top of them, which the clone from earlier pointed out turning to Ahsoka." They're right on top of us! Should we commence firing?" the same clone asked.

"Wait...wait..." She told him slowly, as the closest ship, possibly the flagship, was almost out of the asteroid belt it started firing once in range, one laser finally hitting the Resolute to jerk and sending a few clones sprawling to the ground. Ahsoka would have joined if not for catching herself on the very edge of the bridge's holo-projector

Soon the other separatist ships started opening fire as well, raining a hail of red lasers hitting parts of the Resolute first before following with the rest of the republic fleet. As one Venator star destroyer on the right scored a direct hit seriously damaging the Republic warship.

"We're outgunned! We're not gonna last a mynock minute out here!" She told Anakin, as she began to panic.

"Hang on, snips. We've got'em right where we want'em." He told his torgruta Padawan, trying to reassure her.

It seemed the Separatists were remaining focused on Anakin for a short while, unfortunately, one of the droid ships aimed and focused fired upon the Venator to the left, causing sections of it to explode as one of the bolts destroyed one of the two bridges causing it to lost control. Effectively crippling the republic warship.

To make matters worse one of the V-19s was also hit by enemy fire and collided with another fighter, destroying both. Her master thus ordered the rest of Gold squadron to take evasive action and retreat. However, Skywalker's fighter continued to participate in the battle and then contacted her again after a few minutes giving her the signal.

"Ahsoka, they're in position. Unveil our little surprise."

"Right away, master," Ahsoka said to him, before contacting Rex.

"Rex, old boy. It's time for you to join the party."

"With pleasure, sir," he said sounding ready.

A moment later one of the separatist's ships started going down. But if take a closer look you could see faint outlines of a continuous swarm of blue plasma projectiles hitting the undercarriage of separatist frigates, destroying the enemy fleet from behind. Before the start of the battle, her master ordered a full company of AT-TE walkers to be deployed on one of the asteroids in the planetary rings firing on Grievous's fleet from their rear. Having directed all power to their forward deflectors, the frigates were left completely vulnerable to the attack from the rear and were quickly torn apart one by one.

Ahsoka turned her head to the clones operating the turbo lasers and gave the order," Forward cannons, let'em have it!" the Resolute opened fire on one of the droid ships, and within seconds it went down.

Another droid ship went down after Anakin's starfighter was seen near it. Probably targeting the bridge. It wasn't long before the Separatist ship that first opened fire on them suddenly exploded in flames. Ripping its left fin off in the process.

"Let's finish this," Ahsoka said, before turning and ordering the clones.

"All batteries, target that command bucket!" she pointed at one of the blips on the viewer. All eight double-barreled cannons on the Venator opened fire on the droid ship, destroying it within seconds. Sensing the momentum of the battle had changed, Grievous decided to retreat; however, with the frigates unable to maneuver to escape, the general then took his personal fighter, the soulless one, and flew himself away from the battle.

Ahsoka noticed this and was about to contact her master, However, Anakins personal Delta-7B starfighter was already in hot pursuit of the separatist's head general. But his fighter blip went out of range, and into the meteor field. Not wasting a second the torgruta padawan quickly contact Captain Rex who was still in the asteroid field

"Rex, it's Anakin! His starfighter is going off-course. I think his fighter might be damaged during the battle." she exclaimed to him.

"Don't worry, kid. I've got him," he assured her.

A little while later Ahsoka and Rex were in the med bay. Watching as the medical droid treated Anakin, pulling some shrapnel out of his prosthetic arm.

"What happened?" He asked regaining consciousness

"You owe Rexster your skin, Skyguy ." She told him glad he was okay.

"Just doing my job, sir. It was your plan that won the day." Rex humbly dismissed.

"Grievous is awol, but his fleet of tinnies is nothing by spare parts." She said smiling at their victory.

"Good work, both of you." Anakin praised them. Then he began to notice that someone was missing. "Where's Artoo?"

The question brought a sad frown "I'm sorry, Master. He's gone." She apologized.

Half an hour later Anakin was finally allowed to leave the med-bay, the two Jedi then made their way up to the bridge to contact Kenobi.

"Congratulations, Anakin. Your resourcefulness always amazes me," he said praising him after receiving their report.

Anakin gave a solemn reply, "Thank you, Master."

Obi-Wan seemed to pick up on it and asked, "You looked troubled."

"I lost Artoo in the field," he replied looking down, Obi-Wan acted as if it was nothing.

"Well, R2 units are a dime a dozen. I'm sure you'll find a suitable replacement."

Anakin clenched his fist at the thought, before perking up at his next idea, "I could take a squad out there, track him down."

Obi-Wan shook his head, "Anakin. It's only a droid. You know attachment is not acceptable for a Jedi." he reprimand.

"It's not just that, master," Anakin started, before looking nervous and adding, "Uh, how do I put this? I didn't wipe Artoo's memory..."

"What?!" Obi-Wan blurted in shock, "He's still programmed with our tactics and base locations?!" he asked hoping Anakin was joking, the look on his former padawan's face confirmed it, he was telling the truth.

"If the Separatists get a hold of him-" Obi-Wan said mostly himself rubbing his beard, before giving Anakin another scolding, "What possessed you not to erase that droids memory!?"

Ahsoka came to her master's defense. "Master Obi-Wan, sometimes Artoo having that extra information has come in handy."

Obi-Wan finally let up on him," Well, then find that droid, Anakin. Our necks might very well depend on it." he ordered. Anakin looped happy at the thought of finding Artoo.

"Right away, master."

It wasn't long before the rescue mission was ready to be underway. Ahsoka was now just waiting for Anakin to show up.

"Ready to go?" he asked just as he reached the top of the ladder where they were. "Master, they just delivered. This is R3-S6." Ahsoka told him with a smile, the droid beeped in greeting. Anakin climbed up all the way and looked at the droid before she continued, "I've heard that the new R3s are far faster in thinking skills and more powerful than the old R2 units." he started walking into the ship, and the other two followings.

He turned his head at the droid when it beeped again. Rex walked up beside him, while Ahsoka knelt beside it before speaking again, "And best of all, Master. He's gold. A gold droid for Gold leader of Gold squadron."

"You can't replace Artoo." he replied walking away with Rex, R3 beeped sadly.

"Don't worry Goldie. You'll get to know him later," she assured the Astromech.

Now flying aboard the Twilight, they made their way into the Separatist's debris field

Separatists ships, sheared and torn into two, floating in the cold emptiness of space like carcasses of great beasts. There was no fire burning, but the marks of turbo laser fire were evident in white and gray hulls. Broken remains of fighters, manned and unmanned, bounced against armor plates and hulls...and droids. So many still active droids, all limply floating by, some intact...most not

It was a sadly familiar sight to the two Jedi.

Anakin's sharp eyes and attentive even as he expertly maneuvered across the debris field. More than once, the dull thud of something bouncing against the Twilight's hull was heard, though the passengers did their best to ignore it.

"That's my ship!" Called out Anakin almost in a desperate cry as he rose from his chair drawing the attention of the other occupants in the room. They all watched as the Delta-7B, the starfighter slowly spun around its axis, turning its bottom away from them to reveal...an empty astromech dock.

The Jedi knight slumped back into his seat, shoulders sagged as he stared at the wreckage with a whirlwind of emotions "Artoo's gone. He must have escaped. He's got to be around here somewhere!" he said, determined to find his Astromech unit.

"Artoo isn't on the scanners." called out Ahsoka from beside him, her hands over the consoles as she operated the ship's sensors. Suddenly she stopped and turned her attention to a single point in the panels in front of her. "But there is a ship out there."

Quickly, Anakin turned the Twilight in the indicated direction, flaring the freighter's engines just enough that it began moving to the unknown contact. Carefully the Jedi knight and padawan piloted the vessel around more wreckage until finally, after flying below the broken hull of a separatist's frigate, they came across the second visitor of the grave.

It was an ugly ship, and no words could mince that fact. It had a narrow main body, covered in grime and dirt with three dirt-blue containers on each side with long clamp arms between each container. A double-barreled cannon sat on top the rear of the ship, while two bright search lights lazily cast away the darkness as the ship lazily drifted through the battle site.

"Looks like a trandoshan scavenger, probably combing the battlefield for salvage." he pointed out to them.

"The historical texts say-" She started before he cut her off.

"Archive text can only teach you a part of the picture, my young padawan. You'll learn a lot more through some hands-on experience." He told her smirking. After docking with the scavenger ship they slipped on ponchos to hide their Jedi apparel, before heading onto the ship.

"What's that smell?" Ahsoka asked grimacing and holding her nose.

"You'll get used to it," Anakin told her, suddenly a robotic eye popped out of the small compartment beside the door and focused on Anakin then started speaking in huttese.

"Hey, we'd like to buy a droid. You sellin'?" he asked it, the eye spoke once more before disappearing back into its compartment. The door soon opened a bit and a small rounded trandoshan climbed through the hole. Immediately after he turned his attention to them Anakin asked him, "We're looking for an R2 unit. You happen to pick up any recently?"

The scavenger rubbed his chin in thought before shaking his head and replying, "An 'R' series? No, no, not for a long time."

Anakin suddenly pulled Ahsoka close before speaking" Pookums' here really has her heart set on another R2. She lost the last one."

"Pookums? Oh, brother." Ahsoka mumbled.

The trandoshan tapped his chin with one long clawed finger, then eyed the astromech greedily, noticing the droid's expensive gold plating. "Nice R3 unit. Trade for a C-14?"

"Not on your life, lizardo." Ahsoka told him, her expression far more mature than someone her age would have. Thankfully she hid it by covering her nose again while Anakin thumbed through some credits in his hand and spoke, "Now let's see how much I have here." The scavenger got a greedy look on his face when he noticed the credits.

"I'll tell you what." And with that, the lizard stepped away from the door and motioned to the inside of his ship." I may have an R2 unit buried somewhere in the hold. Help yourself. But be careful. There are many, um...unique items down here." he told them before they went through the door, closing it after they entered.

It was a spacious room, with the ceiling high enough that an AT-TE could fit in, if not for the large number of shelves packed as tightly and as close together as possible. Each shelf was packed with large metal boxes, droid parts, or loose pieces of technology, all haphazardly thrown or piled against one another, like a large vertical junkyard

The first thing Ahsoka noticed about the hold was that there were a lot of containers, some of which Anakin moved out of their way by using the Force while his eyes carefully scanned every nook and cranny of the vessel but no matter where he looked, there was no sign of R2.

However, Ahsoka's master continued his search, she couldn't help but stare at some of the droids that were in serious disrepair, only to suddenly stop when a shadowy figure suddenly came into her sight, sitting casually on one of the boxes freezing her to a sudden halt. The individual was wearing a dark purple cloak, and holding a skull-decorated staff. Slowly lifting his head, she couldn't help but silently gasp. As the figure's two eyes were literally glowing green.

"Doom'ha du nala for tima ana pokahl!"

The togruta took a few steps back. Feeling real true fear going through her entire body, as Ahsoka's hand hovered over her lightsaber. It was only when R3 beeped got Ahsoka's attention, looked where the mysterious person was but Ahsoka

and she walked back to the droid before calling out slowly, "Master...?"

The chosen one turned his head to her and walked back, noticing what the torgruta and R3 found. Two deactivated assassin droids sitting against a large metal box. "These must be the 'unique' items we were warned about. These assassin droids can be very unpredictable." Anakin told her.

"They're switched off. They don't look so tough to me." Ahsoka said arrogantly smirking.

"Nothing looks tough to you. Take my word for it: they're deadly." Anakin warned.

R3 beeped again before they continued making their way through the hold after a few seconds Anakin stopped and turned to R3 before speaking," R3, access the computer and find the inventory manifest. R2 gotta be around here somewhere." The golden astromech gave an affirmative beep and just as the droid plugged in another astromech beep resounded throughout the hold.

"Did you hear that?" Anakin asked perking up and looking in the direction of the beep came from.

"Hear what?" Ahsoka asked confused, shifting her attention between them.

" That sounded like Artoo!" Anakin said taking off towards the sound.

"How can you tell the difference?" Ahsoka asked now sounding skeptical.

"It came from down here," Anakin stated as he came up to a door and tried opening it, only to find it locked.

"R3, get this open!" Anakin told the droid urgently. R3 beeped and instead of opening the door, it turned the lights on.

"We don't need the lights on!" Anakin exclaimed frustrated.

"No, Goldie. The hatch." Ahsoka corrected pointing.

"Never mind. I'll do it myself." Anakin said, fed up with the R3 unit before igniting his lightsaber and attempting to cut the door open. Unknown to the two of them R3 had just turned on the two assassin droids. They stood up and one of them grabbed Ahsoka, causing her to cry out in surprise.

"Master!" She yelled, Skywalker started rushing back to her, cutting off its right arm and then force-pushing both of them a few feet away.

"Goldie, shut these droids down!" Ahsoka yelled to the R3 unit, just as the assassin droids unplugged themselves and grabbed their blasters.

"I'm afraid R3 is a little slow on the uptake," Anakin said, sounding irritated as he and Ahsoka deflected a few blaster bolts. The two Jedi continue to deflect bolts when the droid with both arms suddenly jumped up to the top shelves and fired a few shots at them before jumping to the other side. The one-handed droid soon joined the other one, jumping up to one of the middle shelves and then kneeling in an open space and started firing upon Ahsoka once more.

"Back at you, piston head." Ahsoka taunted, and the droid jumped down behind her. Ahsoka managed to spin around in time to deflect a few more blaster bolts, Meanwhile, Anakin was deflecting the blaster bolts from the other droid. reaching out with the Force, he pulled the droid down from the shelves causing it to hit the ground.

Immediately the droid Ahsoka was fighting kicked a box at her, pinning her to one of the ship's columns. Since Anakin's focus was on the other gun, he was blind to the fact that the droid she was fighting now aimed its blaster at the back of his head. Ahsoka saw this and managed to get free from the crate, somersaulting she managed to cut the droid vertically in half.

"You were right about the hands-on experience, gramps. Much better than the archives," she admitted.

"Good job, but you missed one," he replied easily cutting off the assassin droid's arm before slicing its head off cleanly, landing near the R3 unit.

"As for you stubby, you'd make a poor excuse of a light switch." the droid gave off a defensive beep.

"I'm sure he did his best," Ahsoka said, coming to R3's defense.

"His best to get us killed!? Artoo would have never made that mistake!" Anakin snapped at her, before turning on his heel and walking back to the door, "R3 can't even get the door open." he called back.

Then if the universe suddenly answered R3 finally unlocked the door just as Anakin reached it. " A little late, stubby," he said coldly. Then out of nowhere, the trandoshan from earlier was another side. Not wanting to waste any more time and having a very bad day, Anakin ignited his saber and held it close to the scavenger's neck, who cried out in surprise briefly snarling at him."If you didn't have a lightsaber, you'd be a dead man!"

"Where's my droid?" Anakin demanded, just as Ahsoka caught up to him.

"Master, what are you doing?" Ahsoka asked him surprised at hostile he was acting before she grabbed his arm.

"Artoo's not here." She continued, trying to keep him from doing anything rash.

Anakin finally relented, "Let's get out of here." he said to the others. The scavenger started complaining to them as they walked away.

"I told you there was no R2 droid down here! Look at this mess you made! You owe me, Jedi!"

But the Jedi knight said nothing as he silently seethed in quite an anger. A wave of anger that Ahsoka could sense as his female padawan learner is fearful that her master might turn around and Force choke the trandoshan scavenger. But fortunately, he didn't. And instead continued silently to the Twilight, unhooked and left unaware that their prize was much closer than they thought.

After making their way back onto the Twilight, they took off towards the Republic fleet. The entire flight was dead silent, so silent that you could hear a pin hitting the floor. So when they docked with the Resolute all the tension finally disappeared as the two of them headed up to the bridge, they contacted Obi-Wan.

"We have assumed that Artoo was destroyed in the explosion that claimed your ship," Obi-Wan said after they filled him in.

"Yes, master," Anakin replied dejectedly, looking down briefly.

"Our intelligence has confirmed that Grievous' spies have been intercepting our transmissions." Obi-Wan inform them.

"He must have some sort of secret listening post out there somewhere." Ahsoka guessed

"That would explain how he's been able to ambush our fleets." her master agreed.

"Split up your squadrons, Anakin. Find that base and destroy it." Obi-Wan ordered.

"It's good as done, Master Kenobi." Ahsoka complied.

"May the force be with you two," Obi-Wan said, before cutting the transmission off.

"I'll sweep the outer corridor while the rest of your ships focus on the center," Anakin said to Rex who was listening closely. As he went to the Resalote's hangar bay.

A little while later Ahsoka, Rex, and R3 were standing beside Anakin's starfighter just as he came up to them.

"Are you sure you want to go it alone?" the clone replied, sounding unsure of the Jedi's plan.

"I'm sure. More than one fighter will just draw too much attention," Anakin replied.

"Yes sir," Rex agreed before walking away.

"Master, you'll need a droid to help you navigate." Ahsoka insisted, Anakin glared at R3 before replying.

"I think Stubby is defective."

"Give him another chance, Master. This is the perfect time for you and him to you know. Bond." Ahsoka said hoping to change his mind. R3 beeped while Anakin stared at it a few more seconds before sighing, "All right." he caved.

"Come on, Stubby," he said to the droid.

Goldi beeped as the astromech followed the Jedi knight, Ahsoka on the other couldn't help but shake her head in disappointment at her master's attitude to his new astromech. But doesn't blame him. Artoo was always been by his side at the start of the clone wars

Ahsoka made her way back to the bridge, in order to monitor her master's departure.

"May the Force be with you, Master," Ahsoka mumbled, looking at the screen.

Suddenly Anakin's blip suddenly started going off." That's Master Skywalker's tracking beacon. What's he doing?"

"Rex get a hold of as many men as you can," Ahsoka ordered the clone.

"Right away, sir!" he complied, leaving the Resolute's bridge.

"Why would he suddenly activate his tracking beacon? Something's not right" Ahsoka thought suspiciously.

Ahsoka Knows her master well enough that he wouldn't do such an idiotic move. He wasn't engaged in any of the nearby fighter squadrons in the area and he wasn't supposed to. It was a stealth mission after all.

After a short ride down she exited the lift and started running towards the hanger. Only to find Rex standing in front of Twilight's boarding ramp as if waiting for her.

"I was wondering when you were gonna show up," he said to her. Ahsoka could practically hear the knowing smirk in his voice. "We'd better hurry if we're gonna help the General." the clone continued, walking up the ramp. Ahsoka walked up the ramp after him. After prepping the ship, they exited the Resolute's main hangar bay and took off into hyperspace, heading towards Anakin's last known location.

After a few minutes, the Twilight exited hyperspace, only for them to see droid fighters about to shoot Anakin down. Acting fast Captain Rex took aim at the droid fighters with Twilight's turbo laser and without hesitation fired the ship's guns, managing to destroy all of them before they got to Anakin.

Ahsoka then hailed her master on the comm, "Cargo bay doors open. You better get inside."

"I'd love to, but R3's having a problem with the engines," he replied, sounding frustrated.

"Let's give him some cover, boys," Ahsoka said to the clones, smirking.

"Yes, sir!" Rex complied, taking aim once more and firing.

"I'm inside. Now let's get out of here, Ahsoka." Anakin said to her.

"Power it up, Rex. We're going right between those tine cans." She said to him, pressing a few buttons above her retracting the bottom wing. All the while the separatist's frigates were slowly closing in. Hoping to either capture or destroy the freighter before it escapes.

Seeing that the window of escape is slowly closing, Ahsoka flew the freighter straight toward the frigates maneuvering the twilight through the flak. Reaching

in between the wings of both Separatists frigates. Just as they got closer to one another, barely scraping the top of the bottom half of the twilight.

"Hit it, Rex," Ahsoka said to him. Rex pulled the hyperdrive stick back and they immediately shot off into hyperspace.

Anakin made his way up to the cockpit and after filling them in. He stood beside Ahsoka, who was monitoring one of the consoles in the back. The door to the turbo-lift opened up revealing R3, who beeped after exiting.

Ahsoka turned her attention to the droid and smiled. "Hey, Goldie! What did you think of your first adventure?" She asked nicely.

Anakin spoke instead, and his tone was by far opposite of hers. "I'll tell you what I think! I think I'm lucky to be alive!" he snapped at the golden astromech while glaring at it. R3 gave a scared beep and rolled back into the lift, the door closing behind it.

"Great, now you hurt his feelings," Ahsoka said sounding disappointed while looking at her master.

"His 'feelings'?" Anakin said incredulously. "What about Artoo?" He asked before walking away, not giving her a chance to reply. Ahsoka looked a bit down from his tone. "He's still out there. I know it." he insisted, looking back at her briefly. Before staring at the swirling blue void that is hyperspace in complete and utter silence.

Okay, well that's done and over with the next chapter will be Hermies. And it would seem that the force is telling Ahsoka something.

Also, sorry if the battle was pretty short but it was pretty one-sided engagement.
