Yu-Gi-Oh: Quest for the Gods

The Egyptian God cards have fallen into evil hands... it's up to a boy named Kyle, and his two friends Ken and Ashley to recover them, but what else could be in store? Warning: May not follow Konami rulings during duels, some monsters effects may not work the same way as in the actual game. Don't like that at all, then don't read. Sorry, but it's how I see things going.

2. Chapter 2

Quest for the Gods: Chapter 1: Versus Slifer the Sky Dragon

Kyle was sitting in his room, looking through his old card binder. It had been years since he dueled and got the championship trophy. He had been champ three years running. After his third win, he quit.

Kyle: "Those were the days…"

Flashback:

Announcer: "And the third-time grand champion is… Kyle! Yet again, using his Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck!" The crowd cheered. Even his girlfriend, Ashley was there, cheering. She was cheering the loudest.

Kyle: "Thanks, MC."

MC: "So, will you be coming back for the next one?"

Kyle: "I wish I could, but I realized something."

MC: "And what did you realize, Kyle?"

Kyle: "I gotta retire." The entire crowd gasped at this revelation.

Kyle: "It's not like I have a beef with the game or anything… it's just… I can't duel anymore. I lost the passion."

MC: "Will you still accept the prize money?"

Kyle: "Of course. I won it fair and square." He took the envelope with cash in it.

MC: "Will you ever come back? We'll miss you, y'know."

Kyle: "Perhaps, if my dueling flare lights back up, but until then, I'm retiring from the game." He flashed a peace sign. "Peace out, duelists. May the heart of the cards be with you all." He left, going out through the main entrance as Ashley caught up with him. She was a brunette, two inches shorter than him. She was kinda thin, actually. Her hair was short, and she was… a little gifted, shall we say.

Ashley: "Honey… Does this mean I'll never duel you again?" Kyle looked back at her.

Kyle: "If you want, I'll go whenever, but my heart won't be in it."

Ashley: "What about Dandylion?"

Kyle: "I talked with him about it already. He said he's okay with it." Dandylion was Kyle's duel spirit, sometimes giving him encouragement through his duels, should he ever need it. Dandylion was a little bit of a worry wart, especially since he was blown up a lot of the time, but he always meant well to Kyle, trying to aid him whenever he could. Kyle would also sometimes mystically draw Dandylion if he needed him. They shared a bond, and would even talk outside of duels.

Ashley: "I see…" She pulled her deck out, showing a Junk Warrior card on top of all the others. While she didn't have a duel spirit, she always respected Junk Warrior.

Kyle: "Ash… I said I would probably come back, but it wouldn't be for a long time."

Ashley: "It's fine, Kyle. I just… I wanted to be champ one day, and it wouldn't be the same if it was somebody other than you that I beat."

Kyle: "I'm sorry." He hung his head. Dandylion's duel spirit floated next to Kyle.

Dandylion: "Oooh… this is bad…"

Kyle: "Ashley, I'll cheer for you from now on instead. I promise. You'll be champ before you know it! One of these times!"

Ashley: "Thanks, Kyle." They shared a warm embrace, and held it for a while. Once they let go, Ashley couldn't stop staring into Kyle's eyes.

Ashley: "Come back soon."

Kyle: "Don't worry about it."

End flashback.

Kyle: "And she's still waiting for me to come back. I heard she's still a dark horse in every tournament, but there's always that one time…" There was a knock on his house door. He opened it, and Ken was waiting for him.

Ken: "Yo, Kyle! I won the tournament!"

Kyle: "That's nice bro." He walked back as Ken walked in.

Ken: "So… what have you been…" He noticed the card binder.

Ken: "Cards been calling to you again?" The duel spirits always have had a hold on Kyle, he just sometimes chose not to listen.

Kyle: "Especially Blue-Eyes. He makes sad roars a lot of the time now."

Ken: "Maybe you should pick up dueling again. I'll update you on the latest banlist if you want."

Kyle: "My dueling fire is still off."

Ken: "Tough."

Kyle: "Tell me about it."

Ken: "We're talking about spirits here. It's been awhile since Blue-Eyes stretched his legs, y'know."

Dandylion: "It sure has. He won't stop talking to me about it. Hey, Ken. Just saw ya."

Kyle: "Dandylion says hi."

Ken: "Hey, bud." Kyle is the only one out of his group of friends that actually see and hear duel spirits.

Kyle: "So, how'd it go? Red Nova Dragon claim another crazy victory?"

Ken: "You bet. This stupid Blackwings guy couldn't get his plays in at all."

Kyle: "Haha! I heard they're still pretty nice, though."

Ken: "They are, but this guy was making all the wrong moves."

Kyle: "Good decks take time to figure out. Let him make mistakes."

Ken: "Uh huh. I'll tell you though, since you left, everyone's been wanting you back. They miss you."

Kyle: "Sorry, but they'll have to wait awhile longer."

Ken: "They won't accept me as the true champion unless I beat you."

Kyle: "Is that so?"

Ken: "Yeah. What do you say we have a quick duel? For old time's sake?"

Dandylion: "Do it, Kyle!"

Blue-Eyes: "ROOOAAARRRR!" Blue-Eyes White Dragon roared in anticipation.

Kyle: "Hmm…"

Ken: "Afraid that Blue-Eyes is too slow to play?" His eyebrow perked.

Kyle: "Are you implying that Blue-Eyes White Dragon makes decks too slow?!"

Ken: "Normal Monsters. No way they can keep up with the metagame nowadays."

Kyle: "I'll show you meta!"

Ken (thinking): "Always got him to duel before…"

Ken: "Good. Meet me at our training ground in ten minutes. Put your deck back together."

Kyle: "You're on!" Ken left as Kyle started putting his old Blue-Eyes deck back together.

Dandylion: "It's been far too long!"

Kyle: "Don't worry, Dandy. You'll get back in the game."

At the dueling ground… They both had their duel disks out, as yet again, there was a crowd gathered from all of the old faces in the dueling tournaments Ken and Kyle always went to.

Kyle: "I see you brought everyone else together, too."

Guy: "You totally got this, Kyle!"

Kyle: "Thanks, Robbie!"

Robbie: "No problem!"

Ken: "Didn't take too long. Everyone lived close by."

Kyle: "Enough talk. Let's duel."

Ken: "Yeah." The duel disks turned on.

Kyle and Ken: "BRING IT!"

Ken: "You can go first."

Kyle: "No problem. Just so you know, you're still the champion if you win this, it's not an official tournament duel. My draw!"

Round 1; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 8000

Kyle: "I set a monster in Defense Mode!" A sideways card materialized in front of him.

Kyle: "Then I set 3 cards facedown. Your move."

Round 1; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 8000

Ken: "My draw!" He looked at his hand to see his options, then nodded.

Ken: "I activate the Spell Card, Resonator Call! This allows me to add a Resonator monster from my deck to my hand! I pick Dark Resonator!" He pulled the card up, then put Resonator Call in the graveyard.

Ken: "And now, because I have no monsters while you have one, I can special summon a Vice Dragon from my hand!" a purple dragon monster arose from the ground. (LV 5/ATK 2000/DEF 2400)

Ken: "However, his attack and defense will be halved." (LV 5/ATK 2000-1000/DEF 2400- 1200)

Kyle: "Interesting…"

Ken: "Then I summon Dark Resonator!" The monster arose. It looked like a devil covered in cymbals, holding a wand and tuning fork (LV 3/ ATK 1300/DEF 300)

Ken: "And now… because Dark Resonator is a level 3 tuner, and Vice Dragon is a level 5 non-tuner, I can synch them together, to summon Red Dragon Archfiend!" Dark Resonator turned into a pillar with three stars inside of it, while Vice Dragon flew into it. When it combined itself together, it turned into a blaze of fire, and Red Dragon Archfiend flew downwards. He roared, staring Kyle down. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2000)

Kyle: "I've seen this card too many times to not know what it does…"

Ken: "Good. He missed squashing you." Red Dragon growled in agreement.

Kyle: "We'll see what happens."

Ken: "I activate Scarlet Security! As long as Red Dragon Archfiend is on the field when I play this, I destroy all of your Spell and Trap cards!" Red Dragon Archfiend then breathed out fire from his mouth at Kyle's back row.

Kyle: "I think not! I activate my facedown Starlight Road! With this, I can negate and destroy Scarlet Security, and summon my Stardust Dragon!" The Trap card blasted a ray of light, stopping the fire breath, and out of it, a new, shiny dragon was summoned. (LV 8/ATK 2500/DEF 2000)

Ken: "I thought you might do that. Red Dragon Archfiend! Attack his Stardust Dragon!"

Kyle: "I had another plan! I activate Assault Mode Activate! This lets me send Stardust Dragon to the graveyard to summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode from my deck!" (LV 10/ATK 3000/DEF 2500) Stardust Dragon got a new blue armored coat, and bulked out on the muscle mass this time as it's upgrade.

Ken: "Red Dragon Archfiend, Attack Assault Stardust!" Red Dragon Archfiend breathed out fire while Assault Stardust shot out a light ray. They both killed each other.

Robbie: "Ken, what were you thinking!"

Ken: "I know what I'm doing!" Both cards went to the graveyard this time.

Kyle: "Did you forget that by destroying Stardust Assault Mode, I can bring back my regular Stardust Dragon?" the regular Stardust Dragon reappeared on the field. (LV 8/ATK 2500/DEF 2000)

Ken: "I didn't. Now I'll set 2 cards face down, and end my turn there. You go."

Round 2; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 8000

Kyle: "I have no idea why you let Red Dragon Archfiend die, but I might see why later… I draw!" he drew one card.

Kyle: "Okay! I activate Cards of Consonance! By discarding a Dragon Tuner Monster with 1000 or less attack, such as my White Stone of Legend, I can draw two new cards! Plus, with White Stone's effect, I can add a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my deck to my hand!" Kyle cycles through his deck to get Blue-Eyes, then the duel disk reshuffles his deck up.

Ken: "Huh…"

Kyle: "I now flip summon Totem Dragon!" The disk came out from the formerly face down monster, and sprouted a dragon neck, wings, and a tail. (LV 2/ATK 400/DEF 200)

Kyle: "His ability lets me use him as 2 tributes for a dragon monster! I sacrifice my Totem Dragon, to summon my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" As Totem Dragon disappeared, the white Dragon reappeared, roaring loudly, getting many oohs from the crowd. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2500)

Ken: "In response, I activate my facedown card! Compulsory Evacuation Device! I'm going to send your Stardust Dragon back to your Extra Deck!"

Kyle: "Fine, he'll go back." Stardust disappeared from the field as he put the card back in his pocket.

Kyle: "Sorry pal, you'll come back later, I'm sure."

Ken: "Not during this duel."

Kyle: "We'll soon see! Blue-Eyes! Attack Ken directly with White Lightning!" Blue-Eyes launched a white stream of energy from his mouth directly at Ken.

Ken: "I activate my other facedown! Sakuretsu Armor! Your Blue-Eyes is destroyed!"

Kyle: "WHAT?! NO!" The armor flew at Blue-Eyes, slammed into him, and blew up, taking him with it.

Kyle: "So that's why you compulsed my Stardust…"

Ken: "Precisely."

Kyle: "Too bad! I activate my facedown Call of the Haunted! I can now bring back a monster from my graveyard, so I resurrect the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" As the card flipped up, Blue-Eyes soared out of the ground, roaring in another amount of glory. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2500)

Ken: "WHAT?"

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes, attack him again! White Lightning!" Blue-Eyes blasted another ray from his mouth, blowing Ken over and on to his back. Ken's LP: 8000-5000

Kyle: "I set one more card facedown, and end my turn." He then smirked, happy he took Ken by surprise.

Round 2; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 5000

Ken: "Nice comeback. Too bad it won't last long. I draw!" He pulled another card from his deck, and smiled, as he got back to his feet.

Kyle: "Hmm?"

Guy 2: "Got something, Ken?"

Ken: "You bet I do. Because I have three Dark monsters in my graveyard, I can special summon Dark Armed Dragon!" Dark Armed Dragon came out of the card that had its picture on it. It arose from the field, and stared Blue-Eyes down. (LV 7/ATK 2800/DEF 1000)

Kyle: "This guy again?"

Ken: "Yep. I use his effect to remove Dark Resonator and Vice Dragon from my graveyard to destroy Blue-Eyes and your facedown card!"

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes!" Dark Armed launched his missiles from his back, destroying Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and Kyle's facedown Mirror Force, dragging Call of the Haunted with it.

Ken: "Now, Dark Armed! Attack Kyle directly!" Dark Armed breathed a darkness ray at Kyle, knocking him down. Kyle's LP: 8000-5200

Ken: "I'll set my last card facedown, and it's your move, Kyle."

Robbie: "They're going back and forth with each other."

Guy 3: "Wow…" The whole crowd was murmuring as Kyle got back up.

Round 3; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 5200

Kyle: "It isn't over yet, big guy! I draw!" Once Kyle pulled his next card, a strategy came to mind.

Kyle: "Standby Phase! Totem Dragon resurrects itself once, then gets banished if it leaves the field!" Totem Dragon flew out of the sky, floating in front of Kyle again. (LV 2/ATK 400/DEF 200)

Ken: "Totem Dragon? Really?"

Kyle: "Then I activate Summoner's Art! This will let me add one Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from my Deck to my hand! I choose another Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" He pulled another Blue-Eyes as his deck auto-shuffled.

Kyle: "Now I sacrifice Totem Dragon again, to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" The second Blue-Eyes arose from the ground, making another loud roar as Totem Dragon disappeared. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2500)

Ken: "This thing again…"

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes! Attack Dark Armed with White Lightning!" Blue-Eyes blasted Dark Armed, annihilating it utterly. Ken's LP: 5000-4800

Ken: "A minor scratch."

Kyle: "I end my turn for now."

Round 3; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 4800

Ken: "Aww, too bad that was all you could do last turn. I draw!" Everyone murmured. Once Ken got a good look at the card, he nodded again.

Ken: "I now activate Reckless Greed! I can draw two new cards, but I have to skip my next two draw phases."

Kyle: "I know. I always found that card more painful than helpful, though."

Ken: "But it still gives me options. Like this! When I have no monsters while you do have one, I can special summon Unknown Synchron!" A little robotic ball with two antennae and one red eye appeared. (LV 1/ATK 0/DEF 0)

Ken: "Then I activate Monster Reborn, to resurrect Red Dragon Archfiend!" Red Dragon Archfiend arose from the ground, blazing fire all across the battlefield. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2000)

Kyle: "This again…"

Ken: "Yep. That again. And because he's a level 8 synchro monster, I can special summon Creation Resonator from my hand!" A little devil guy with a giant fan on his back holding a tuning fork appeared. (LV 3/ATK 800/DEF 600)

Kyle: "Oh man…"

Ken: "Now, using the Level 1 Tuner, Unknown Synchron, the Level 3 Tuner, Creation Resonator, and the Level 8 Non tuner, Red Dragon Archfiend, I can make a DOUBLE SYNCHRO SUMMON!" Both Unknown Synchron and Creation Resonator combined into a golden pillar as Red Dragon Archfiend flew into it. Once the scanning of Red Dragon Archfiend was over, it exploded like a supernova, revealing a much larger red dragon than before.

Ken: "Say hello, to… RED. NOVA. DRAGON!" The dragon roared, but Kyle showed he was not intimidated. (LV 12/ATK 3500/DEF 3000)

Kyle: "Nice."

Ken: "For Red Nova Dragon's effect, he gets 500 extra attack points for every tuner monster in my graveyard. Since there are three, he gains 1500 more points." (LV 12/ATK 3500-5000/DEF 3000)

Kyle: "HOW MUCH?"

Ken: "Red Nova Dragon! Attack Kyle's Blue-Eyes now!" Red Nova spewed out a fire blast from his mouth, incinerating Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Kyle was dripping with sweat, and nearly collapsed because of it. Kyle's LP: 5200-3200

Ken: "I end my turn. You better have a good comeback play in order here."

Round 4; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 3200

Kyle: "Hey! You know me! I always do! I draw!" Kyle looked into his hand, and smiled.

Ken: "Why are you smiling?"

Kyle: "I activate Foolish Burial! With this, I can send 1 monster from my Deck to the graveyard, and I choose my final Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"

Ken: "That doesn't make any sense, unless…"

Kyle: "You got it right…" He dropped the Blue-Eyes to the grave as his deck shuffled itself again.

Kyle: "I activate Dragon's Mirror, which lets me banish cards from my graveyard perform a fusion for a dragon monster as opposed to sending them to the graveyard anyway! I banish my three Blue-Eyes White Dragons to summon my Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" A mirror appeared, and out of it came the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. The three-headed dragon roared to greet Red Nova. (LV 12/ATK 4500/DEF 3800)

Ken: "You're kidding me! A Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon may be strong, but against my Red Nova, it can't do anything!"

Kyle: "I set my last 2 cards facedown, and it's back to you, pal." He smiled.

Round 4; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 4800

Ken: "Because of my Reckless Greed, I'm not allowed to draw right now."

Kyle: "I know."

Ken: "Red Nova Dragon, attack his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

Kyle: "I don't think so! I activate Scrap-Iron Scarecrow! This negates an attack when it's flipped up!" A scarecrow appeared in front of Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, and it absorbed Red Nova's blast.

Kyle: "It will then flip itself back facedown so I can use it next turn."

Ken: "Nice play."

Robbie: "It saved him this time, sure, but he'll have to update that deck, and soon if he wants to come out of retirement."

Guy 3: "Yeah."

Ken: "I end my turn."

Round 5; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 3200

Kyle: "I draw!" he looked at his hand for the new card he drew, then he nodded.

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Attack Red Nova!" Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon began to charge up.

Ken: "Why would you do that? You'd lose your Ultimate Dragon!"

Kyle: "I'll activate my other facedown card! Transmigration Prophecy! This will force 2 of your cards in your graveyard back into your deck, so I choose 2 of your tuners!"

Ken: "Then that means Red Nova loses 1000 points!" (LV 12/ATK 5000-4000/DEF 3000)

Kyle: "Exactly. Keep going, Blue-Eyes! Neutron Blast!" All three heads launched their attack at Red Nova Dragon.

Ken: "I use Red Nova's effect! If I banish him, I negate your attack this turn!" Red Nova Dragon had disappeared, then a fiery wall absorbed the Neutron Blast, keeping Ken safe.

Kyle: "Good one, but no dice. I activate Burial from a Different Dimension! This lets me put three banished cards back into their owner's graveyards! I choose my three Blue-Eyes White Dragons!"

Ken: "Okay…"

Kyle: "Then I'll activate De-Fusion! Sending Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon back to my Extra Deck, to summon forth my three Blue-Eyes White Dragons!"

Ken: "NO!" Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon then split apart, and all three Blue-Eyes White Dragons hit the field at the same time. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2500) (For all 3 Blue-Eyes'.)

Ken: "This… how?"

Kyle: "Now! Blue-Eyes! Attack Ken directly!" the first one attacked Ken, then the second one attacked. Ken fell, then was hit while he was down. Ken's LP: 4800-1800-0

Kyle wins.

Kyle: "Nice game, man."

Ken: "Again? How?!"

Kyle: "That always did seem to happen…"

Dandylion: "You didn't even use me…"

Kyle: "Sorry bro…" He rubbed the back of his head, looking apologetic about it. Blue-Eyes roared proudly.

Robbie: "Yet again, then great Kyle wins another duel… and against our new champ after he retired."

Ken: "Dude, I had Red Nova Dragon! This doesn't happen to me when I have him out!"

Kyle: "I guess I got better draws than you did. It's not that bad. It's not like you lost your title."

Ken: "You're right."

Kyle: "Thanks for the duel, man, but I gotta re-resume my dueling retirement."

Audience: "Aww… really?"

Kyle: "I meant it, guys. I may come in to the next one for some fun duels if you want, but I'm no longer going pro, okay? Just… duel amongst yourselves, I guess. I gotta go. I was trying to um… do my taxes."

Ken: "No you weren't. You were reminiscing."

Kyle (whispering to Ken): "They don't need to know that…"

Robbie: "I guess we'll all be heading home then… I need to perfect my Quasar deck."

Guy 2: "Yeah. I need to get back to Dino Rabbit…"

Kyle: "Dino Rabbit?"

Robbie: "You have been out for a while."

Dandylion: "Oh yes, Rescue Rabbit and Evolzar Laggia… crazy combo."

Kyle: "How do YOU know about this?"

Dandylion: "I'm a duel spirit. I kinda keep up with other duel spirits."

Kyle: "Oh yeah…"

Robbie: "Who ARE you talking to?"

Ken: "No one. Just go, Kyle. I need to perfect my deck. Again…" Kyle waved bye, and Ken was about to go home, when Ashley came out of the crowd.

Ashley: "Honey!"

Kyle: "Ash?" he was tackled, and being smothered with kisses until she helped him up.

Ashley: "That was the best duel I've ever seen!"

Ken: "You only said that because it was Kyle dueling, Ashley."

Ashley: "Well, yeah, but I loved all of his duels that I've seen."

Kyle: "Ashley, I miss you."

Ashley: "You never come to these tournaments anymore."

Kyle: "I told you. I've retired."

Ken: "And I still need to get this deck perfect."

Kyle: "You really don't need to do much. Red Nova is perfect as is."

Ken: "He still lost."

Kyle: "But I didn't kill it."

Ashley: "Can I duel with you again?"

Kyle: "I just got out of a big one, Ash…"

Ashley: "Are you declining?"

Kyle: "If you want to duel somebody good, duel Ken. He's the champ."

Ashley: "From which I was runner-up…"

Kyle: "Good job!"

Ashley: "I knew you'd approve."

Ken: "Yeah. Junk-Doppel. Not that good of a deck."

Ashley: "Well, all you think about is your stupid Red Nova Dragon! He's not the only boss monster, you know!"

Ken: "Is that a challenge?"

Ashley: "Yes it is, big boy! I'll have my championship back! Then I'll duel my boyfriend, and THEN we'll see who the best duelist is!"

Kyle: "Um… Me and my luck… I get to watch one this time."

Dandylion: "Her deck is formidable if she can get out all of her key cards. You know that. You've even lost to it a few times."

Kyle: "True, but I had to help her build it."

Ashley: "Prepare to lose!"

Ken: "Yeah, right."

Kyle: "Hey, Ash."

Ashley: "Y-yes?"

Kyle: "If you beat Ken, I'll duel you."

Ashley: "I'll hold you to it." She blew Kyle a kiss this time. Kyle pretended to catch it.

Ashley: "Get your game on!"

Ken: "Right…"

Round 1; Turn 1

Ashley's LP: 8000

Ashley: "I draw!" When she drew her card, she considered her next move.

Ashley: "I set one monster in Defense Mode, then end my turn!" The one sideways card appeared.

Round 1; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 8000

Ken: "That's it?! Ha! I draw!" He drew one card, then smirked.

Ken: "I summon Elemental HERO Stratos!" Once Stratos flew up from the light on the ground, his gyrocopters were vibrating, releasing sound vibrations. (LV 4/ATK 1800/DEF 300)

Ken: "I will now use Stratos' effect to add Destiny HERO – Malicious to my hand!" He pulled that card out of his deck, then it shuffled itself.

Ken: "Then I activate Destiny Draw, discarding Malicious to draw 2 new cards!" Once he drew two cards, Malicious inserted itself into the grave.

Ashley: "Red Dragon Archfiend. As usual."

Ken: "Nope. Stratos! Attack Ashley's facedown monster!" Stratos flew at the monster card, and punched it hard.

Ashley: "Uh huh."

Kyle: "Nice choice!"

Ken: "I'll place two cards facedown, and end my turn."

Ashley: "I draw!" She looked into her hand again for the choices.

Ashley: "Standby Phase! Because I have no other monsters in play, I can resurrect Immortal Bushi from the graveyard in defense mode!" Immortal Bushi came back to the field, sitting in a defensive stance. (LV 3/ATK 1200/DEF 600)

Ashley (Thinking): "This hand isn't that great at all…"

Ashley: "I'll set one more monster in defense mode, and end my turn."

Kyle: "Bad hand today, Ash?"

Ashley: "Uh huh…"

Kyle: "You'll play out of it! You always do!"

Round 2; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 8000

Ken: "You'll never come back from this! I draw!" He pulled yet another card, and nodded again.

Ken: "I now banish the Malicious in my grave to summon another from my deck!" Once he pulled it out, a new Malicious materialized from a black light. (LV 6/ATK 800/DEF 800)

Ken: "Now I summon Krebons!" The robotic monster had digitized onto the field, synthesizing robotic laughter as it had the last time. (LV 2/ATK 1200/DEF 400)

Ken: "Now I synch Krebons and Malicious together to summon Red Dragon Archfiend!" After a large blazing fire sprouted from the ground, the dragon appeared yet again, and roared. (LV 3000/DEF 2000)

Kyle: "Uh oh…"

Ken: "Red Dragon! Attack her Immortal Bushi!" Red Dragon Archfiend breathed fire at him, destroying him.

Ken: "Now for Red Dragon's effect! If he destroys one defensive monster, all defense position monsters die in his wake!" Red Dragon then spread his fire to Ashley's facedown monster, who was a Doppelwarrior.

Ashley: "No…"

Ken: "Stratos! Attack Ashley directly!" Stratos flew up, and punched Ashley in the gut as hard as he could.

Ashley: "OOOOFF!" Ashley's LP: 8000-6200

Kyle: "Ash!"

Ashley; "I'm just fine… ow…" She picked her cards back up.

Ken: "I end my turn."

Ashley's LP: 6200

Ashley: "I'm not through yet… I draw!" Once she drew her card, her face beamed with happiness.

Ken: "Hmm?"

Ashley: "I use Immortal Bushi's effect again! This time, in Attack Mode!" Immortal Bushi sprouted from the ground. (LV 3/ATK 1200/DEF 600)

Ashley: "Now I play Giant Trunade! All of your facedown cards go back into your hand!"

Ken: "Okay." He pulled his two facedowns back to his hand.

Ken: "It still doesn't save your Bushi."

Ashley: "I'm not finished yet. I summon Junk Synchron!" Junk Synchron arose from the ground, and revved up his backpack. (LV 3/ATK 1300/DEF 500)

Ashley: "Now I use his effect to resurrect Doppelwarrior from my grave in defense mode!" Indeed, Doppelwarrior had come back. (LV 2/ATK 800/DEF 800)

Ashley: "Then I play two copies of Solidarity!"

Ken: "Solidarity?!"

Kyle: "That's a new one."

Dandylion: "What does that do?"

Kyle: "You're about to find out!"

Ashley: "For each copy of Solidarity on the field, all my monsters get an 800 point boost, as long as there's only one type of monster in my graveyard!"

Ken: "Oh shit…"

Junk Synchron: (LV 3/ATK 1300-2100-2900/DEF 500)

Doppelwarrior: (LV 2/ATK 800-1600-2400/DEF 800)

Ashley: "Then I synch Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior to summon Junk Warrior!" Both Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior blended together, then created a larger purple warrior with an enlarged gauntlet for his right hand. He had wings to fly, and a larger jetpack than Junk Synchron's. (LV 5/ATK 2300-3100-3900/DEF 1300)

Kyle: "And it's about to get larger. Much larger."

Ashley: "Then Doppelwarrior's effect activates. When he's used as a Synchro Material monster, I get two Doppel Tokens to my side of the field!" Two mini-versions of Doppelwarrior had appeared along with Junk Warrior. (LV 1/ATK 400-1200-2000/DEF 400) (For both tokens)

Ashley: "Then with Junk Warrior's effect kicks in, taking both of my Doppel Token's attack points, and combining them with his own!" (LV 5/ATK 3900-7900/DEF 1300)

Ken: "7900 attack points?!"

Ashley: "More than enough to power over both of your monsters, and win."

Kyle: "OTK attempt! Oh yes!"

Dandylion: "I see you still enjoy watching duels, at least."

Kyle: "Well, ya know." The attempt wasn't lost to Ashley, and she blushed because of it.

Ashley: "Now… Junk Warrior! Attack Red Dragon Archfiend with Scrap Fist!" Junk Warrior launched itself at Red Dragon, then clobbered him. Red Dragon had a hole in its gut, then exploded because of it. Ken had to cover himself. Ken's LP: 8000-3100

Ashley: "Bushi! Attack Stratos!" Immortal Bushi charged at Stratos, then sliced through him, causing even more damage. Ken's LP: 3100-2100

Ashley: "And you said you'd win this fast… Doppel Tokens! Finish him off!"

Ken: "No! I use Battle Fader's effect! If I'm attacked directly, I can summon him to end your battle phase and negate your attack!" A purple pendulum monster appeared in front of Ken, absorbing both Doppel Token assaults. (LV 1/ATK 0/DEF 0)

Ashley: "Ok…" She was clearly pissed she'd have to wait to finish him now. She despised that idea.

Ashley: "I set 2 cards facedown, and end my turn."

Kyle: "Aww… what a buzzkill."

Dandylion: "Battle Fader usually is, and he knows it."

Round 3; Turn 2

Ken's LP: 2100

Ken: "I draw!" He looked at his hand.

Ken: "I activate Monster Reborn to bring back my Red Dragon Archfiend!" A fiery hole opened up, and Red Dragon Archfiend came back to the field, roaring, then looked at Junk Warrior with a look of vengeance in his eyes. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2000)

Ashley: "OK, but I fail to see why."

Ken: "Now I play Scarlet Security to destroy all of your Spell and Trap Cards! With a prerequisite being Red Dragon Archfiend being on the field." All of her cards, including both Solidarities, were removed.

Immortal Bushi: (LV 3/ATK 2800-1200/DEF 600)

Junk Warrior: (LV 5/ATK 7900-6300/DEF 1300)

Doppel Tokens (LV 1/ATK 2000-400/DEF 400) (For both tokens)

Ashley: "Oh no!"

Ken: "Junk Warrior Might still be strong, but now, he's been knocked down a peg. I activate Emergency Teleport to summon my Krebons from my deck!" Another Krebons materialized to the fields to look on it also synthesized some laughter upon it's summon. (LV 2/ATK 1200/DEF 400)

Ken: "Now I summon my last Krebons to the field." Once it materialized, it's laughter synthesized itself. (LV 2/ATK 1200/DEF 400)

Ken: "I will now use both of my Krebons, and my Red Dragon Archfiend, for a DOUBLE SYNCHRO SUMMON! Come on out…" The Krebons' created a gold pillar while Red Dragon Archfiend flew into it.

Ken: "RED! NOVA! DRAGON!" Red Nova Dragon was summoned to the field now, roaring with magma dropping all over the battlefield. (LV 12/ATK 3500/DEF 3000)

Ashley: "As usual, Red Nova…"

Ken: "Now, he gets 500 extra attack points for every Tuner Monster in my graveyard! And since there are three of them…" (LV 12/ATK 3500-5000/DEF 3000)

Ashley: "It's still not strong enough to destroy Junk Warrior!"

Ken: "I'm gonna gun for something else. I now activate Megamorph to double his original attack since I have lower life points than you!" (LV 12/ATK 5000-8500/DEF 3000)

Ashley: "Oh…"

Ken: "Red Nova Dragon! Attack Immortal Bushi and win me this duel!" Red Nova blasted Ashley down, and her Immortal Bushi disappeared.

Ashley: "AAAGGGGHHHHH!" Ashley's LP: 6200-0

Ken wins.

Ken: "Not bad, Ash, but you still got some work to do."

Ashley: "God… I can't… again?!"

Ken: "Sorry, girl. You don't have anything on me."

Ashley: "YOU ONLY WON BECAUSE OF BATTLE FADER AND YOU KNOW IT!"

Kyle: "Guys! Guys! Easy!" He had to restrain Ashley to prevent her from hitting Ken.

Ashley: "Hmph. I would have had him if it…"

Kyle: "I know. Battle Fader's stupid, we get it."

Ashley: "Well!"

Ken: "I win again. HAH! Knew it wasn't a fluke."

Ashley: "Okay…" Kyle hugged her, and she smiled greatly, then hugged back, giving a pleasurable moan.

Ashley: "Oh! There was something I was supposed to tell you guys! You two, and only you two can help me."

Kyle: "Lay it on me."

Ken: "Okay. I'll bite." We went to her house, and she gave us lunch. She served us baby back ribs. The best invention in the world since clean underwear.

Kyle: "Thanks for the food, Ash, but seriously, what's up?"

Dandylion: "This should be an interesting tidbit of information. The Duel Spirits are also freaking out about something that happened recently."

Ken: "Thanks for the ribs… nomnom…"

Ashley: "Remember the three most powerful cards in the entire game of Duel Monsters, and how there's only one of each?"

Kyle: "Yeah. The Egyptian God Cards."

Ken: "Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, and the Winged Dragon of Ra. Yugi Mutou used to own them before they were 'locked up'." He used quotation hands when he said locked up.

Kyle: "Slifer's my favorite. That's because he's red. What I would have GIVEN to add him to my deck… Totem Dragon, Dandylion, I'd have ways to summon him."

Ashley: "Well, they've been stolen from wherever it is they've been held."

Ken: "WHAT?!"

Kyle: "I know they were used by the reigning world champion of Duel Monsters, but STOLEN?! Who has them now?"

Ashley: "The Shadow League. That's what they call themselves."

Ken: "But they're just a myth."

Dandylion: "No they are not."

Kyle: "I thought it was just an internet thing."

Ashley: "Well, they have them now. Each one of their big three owns one of the God Cards. They have a large army of regular duelists. Each of whom has a deck that was stolen from other people."

Kyle: "Could you imagine all of the misplaced Duel Spirits?" He got up from his chair.

Kyle: "Those monsters are in danger! So are the God Cards!"

Ashley: "Exactly!"

Ken: "While I'm not a complete believer of Duel Spirits, stealing other people's cards is wrong."

Ashley: "If you beat them, they'll give you whatever card you want, but if they beat you, they take your deck."

Kyle: "I'm in, Ash."

Ashley: "Good. I know where the hideout for one of the Big Three is. Her name is Jessica, and she owns Slifer the Sky Dragon."

Ken: "What are we waiting for? Let's get 'em!"

Kyle: "I call shotgun!"

Ashley: "Is this worth getting out of retirement, then, Kyle?"

Kyle: "You bet! Alright, Blue-Eyes and Dandy! We got saving to do!"

Blue-Eyes: "ROAR!"

Dandylion: "I'm ready to help out!"

We had got into Ashley's car, and had drove half an hour to the next city over. Once we were there, she dropped us off in an abandoned factory.

Kyle: "Why do all the bad guys pick abandoned factories as hideouts? Seriously…"

Ken: "Quit your bitching, man, this is Slifer we're talking about here."

Ashley: "How do you propose we get in?"

Kyle: "Stealth, what do you think?" Once we scaled the wall together through a window, we made our way to a more open area, then the lights turned on.

Voice: "So… You thought you could sneak in to a hideout for the Shadow League?"

Ashley: "We decided to take you on head on."

Kyle: "Wading into war! That's what we do!"

Ken: "Cause we're team God Card Savers."

Kyle: "That's kinda lame…"

Ashley: "We need a team name now?"

Ken: "What? Sounded okay in my head."

Voice: "No matter! If you want to get out of here, you'll have to defeat me and my boss, Jessica."

Ashley: "I'll gladly take that task for myself! Bring it on!" A cloaked man with a facemask came in. He held up a duel disk as Ashley slipped hers on.

Ashley: "I'm ready for ya." In another room…

There was a girl, dressed in an LBD, with arm warmers, with black sunglasses on, with semi-long black hair, and she wore leather stilettos watching the situation from security cameras she had stationed in front of her. She watched a TV screen, and zoomed in on Kyle's face.

Jessica: "Ooh, so he got out of retirement just to save Slifer, did he?"

Slifer: "Yugi Mutou? He will save me…"

Jessica: "No, not at all. A boy by the name of Kyle has come to save you for Yugi."

Slifer: "You have no idea what you're messing with… girl. Just because you can control me now doesn't mean you'll figure it out later…"

Jessica: "We'll soon see, my dragon. We'll soon see."

Slifer: "May Horakhty have mercy on this woman… in the Shadow Realm…"

To the duel…

Ashley: "So, cloaked guy? What is your deal?"

Kyle: "Stealing other people's Monsters is wrong, man! Just give back the God Cards!"

Shady Guy: "Only one of them is here. If you want it, you WILL have to beat my mistress. But for now, I am your opponent."

Ashley: "So, now what?"

Shady Guy: "If I win, I get your deck. If you win, you get any card you want. Any card ever made in the history of Duel Monsters, and it will be yours."

Ashley: "If I have to pick a monster… I want Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning."

Ken: "Are you mad! That card's like, limited if it isn't banned already!"

Kyle: "And there's only five of them in the whole world!"

Shady Guy: "You mean… this?" He pulled out that exact card.

Ashley: "That be the one."

Kyle: "I'll be damned."

Ken: "Okay. He meant it."

Shady Guy: "Good." Ashley and he got ready to duel.

Ashley: "Get your game on, shady man!"

Shady Guy: "Hahahahaha!"

Round 1; Turn 1

Ashley's LP: 8000

Ashley: "I draw!" She drew one card from her deck.

Ashley: "I summon Armageddon Knight!" Her Monster rose out of a dark void, then pulled out a sword. He really did look like a Knight that just got out of a battle. (LV 4/ATK 1400/DEF 1200)

Ashley; "And now, using his effect, I send Immortal Bushi from my deck to the graveyard!" She sent the one card to her grave.

Ashley: "Then I end my turn."

Kyle: "Bad hand again?"

Ashley: "RRR…"

Ken: "Shut up about the hand thing!" Kyle covered his mouth.

Dandylion: "Seriously, bro?"

Kyle: "Sorry…"

Round 1; Turn 2

Shady Guy's LP: 8000

Shady Guy: "I draw!" He stopped to look at his hand.

Shady Guy: "Because you have a monster and I don't, I special summon my Cyber Dragon!" The Cyber Dragon arose from the ground, roaring, then focusing its gaze on Ashley. (LV 5/ATK 2100/DEF 1600)

Shady Guy: "And now I summon The Light-Hex Sealed Fusion to the field." What looked like a blob of animal parts appeared on the field. It made both Kyle and Dandylion wince upon looking at it. (LV 3/ATK 1000/DEF 1600)

Shady Guy: "Using his effect, I will fuse him with Cyber Dragon to summon Cyber Twin Dragon!" The light shaped itself into Cyber Dragon, then both the Cyber Dragon's merged to become a two-headed Cyber Dragon. (LV 8/ATK 2800/DEF 2100)

Ken: "Uh oh. Not good."

Kyle: "Totally not good."

Ashley: "Damn it…"

Shady Guy: "Cyber Twin Dragon can attack twice per turn! Now! Cyber Twin! Attack Armageddon Knight!" Cyber Twin Dragon launched a blast from one of his mouths, wrecking Armageddon Knight.

Ashley: "AGH!" Ashley's LP: 8000-6600

Shady Guy: "Now, attack her directly!" The other head launched a blast, hitting Ashley directly.

Ashley: "AAAAGGHH!" Ashley's LP: 6600-3800

Ashley: "That actually hurt… why?"

Kyle: "HEY! How did that hurt her?!"

Shady Guy: "I triggered the Shadow Realm, my boy. In it, duels become real. Holograms are real monsters, and pain… hahaha… that is real!"

Ken: "You sick bastard!"

Kyle: "I'm calling this off right now!"

Shady Guy: "Hahah… I can't. This duel will keep going until one of us loses. By the way, I end my turn."

Kyle: "Ashley?"

Ashley: "I can keep going…" She slowly got up, panting as she did so.

Round 2; Turn 1

Ashley's LP: 3800

Ashley: "I draw!" She drew one more card, then nodded to Kyle. He nodded back.

Ashley: "Standby Phase. I resurrect Immortal Bushi. Then, because he came from the graveyard, I special summon Doppelwarrior from my hand. Both in Attack Mode."

Immortal Bushi: (LV 3/ATK 1200/DEF 600)

Doppelwarrior (LV 2/ATK 800/DEF 800)

Ashley: "And now, I summon Junk Synchron!" She summoned him, and yet again, his backpack revved up. (LV 3/ATK 1300/DEF 500)

Ashley: "Then I'll use all three of them as synchro material to synchro summon Junk Destroyer, and thanks to Doppelwarrior's effect, I get two Doppel Tokens!" All three monsters disappeared, then three new portals appeared on the ground. A black robotic man with four arms started to rise up from the ground, with the two mini Doppelwarriors. Once the man rose up, he sprouted four thin wings out of his back, they almost looked like butterfly wings.

Junk Destroyer (LV 8/ATK 2600/DEF 2500)

Doppel Tokens (LV 1/ATK 400/DEF 400) (For each token)

Ashley; "And thanks to Junk Destroyer's effect, he can destroy any number of your cards for each synchro material monster that makes him. So you lose your Cyber Twin Dragon!"

Shady Guy: "What?!" Junk Destroyer punched the ground, making a fault line, and it absorbed Cyber Twin Dragon into it as he fell.

Shady Guy: "My Cyber Twin Dragon! NO!"

Ashley: "Then I activate two copies of Solidarity! For each copy, as long as there is only one type of monster in my graveyard, they get 800 points!"

Shady Guy: "What?!"

Kyle: "Oh yeah! Prepare to get fucked up royally!"

Junk Destroyer (LV 8/ATK 2600-3400-4200/DEF 2500)

Ashley: "Junk Destroyer! Attack him directly!"

Shady Guy: "No! Battle Fader will save me!" He summoned Battle Fader in front of him, and it absorbed Junk Destroyer's punch attack. (LV 1/ATK 0/DEF 0)

Ken: "Apparently he read up on how I beat ya."

Ashley: "I now officially HATE that card."

Kyle: "Me, too. You got him on the ropes, Ash!"

Ashley: "Thanks, hon! I place 2 cards facedown, and it's all you."

Round 2; Turn 2

Shady Guy's LP: 8000

Shady Guy: "My draw!" He pulled another card, looking desperately at it, hoping it was something he could use, and fast.

Shady Guy: "I sacrifice Battle Fader to summon my second Cyber Dragon." Battle Fader was pulled into a vortex, then a new Cyber Dragon appeared. (LV 5/ATK 2100/DEF 1600)

Shady Guy: "And now, I activate Power Bond. This will fuse this Cyber Dragon with the last one in my hand, so I can fuse them together into another Cyber Twin Dragon!" The two dragons merged again, and yet another monstrous hybrid appeared. (LV 8/ATK 2800/DEF 2100)

Shady Guy: "Oh, and Power Bond doubles his attack!" (LV 8/ATK 2800-5600/DEF 2100)

Ashley: "No fair!"

Shady Guy: "Cyber Twin Dragon, attack her Doppel Token!" The first head launched a blast, nuking the token, causing MAJOR damage.

Ashley: "AAAGGGH!" Ashley's LP: 3800-200

Ken: "Ashley! DEFENSE! We need Slifer back! Remember?" She had slumped to the ground on her knees.

Ashley: "O-ow…"

Shady Guy: "Finish her!" The other head began to launch its attack, when…

Ashley: "I activate Scrap-Iron Scarecrow! This will negate your other attack!" The scarecrow flipped up, protecting her token, and negating the attack.

Ashley: "It'll then flip itself facedown so I can do it again… later… ow…" She slowly got back up, panting heavily.

Shady Guy: "I'm just too much for you, aren't I? Well, now I activate the last card in my hand. The Dark Door!"

Ken: "You cheap fucker!"

Kyle: "Yeah!"

Shady Guy: "Now only one of our monsters can attack each battle phase. I also end my turn. Power Bond will force me to take 2800 damage… GGAAAAHHHH!" Shady Guy's LP: 8000-5200 He grabbed his arm when he felt the burn damage, then stumbled.

Round 3; Turn 1

Ashley's LP: 200

Ashley (thinking): "I'm literally on my last legs. If I can't finish him now, it's over…"

Ashley: "I draw…" She coughed, then looked at her card. She then smiled.

Ashley: "I activate my third Solidarity. You know what that means."

Junk Destroyer (LV 8/ATK 4200-5000/DEF 2500)

Doppel Token (LV 1/ATK 2000-2800/DEF 400)

Shady Guy: "Looks like your combo stopped short. Junk Destroyer cannot kill my Cyber Twin Dragon!"

Kyle: "Wait. There's still one card in her deck she can still use. God, I hope she has it…"

Ken: "What is that?"

Kyle: "Hopefully we see it…"

Dandylion: "Can you tell me?"

Kyle: "No…"

Ashley: "Then I activate my facedown card! De-Synchro!"

Shady Guy: "W-what?"

Ken: "Is that it?"

Kyle: "Sure is."

Ashley: "With this, I can send Junk Destroyer back to my Extra Deck, to summon back all of his Synchro Material from the Graveyard!" Junk Synchron, Immortal Bushi, and Doppelwarrior all came back to the field.

Junk Synchron: (LV 3/ATK 1300-2100-2900-3700/DEF 500)

Shady Guy: "What is this? None of them can kill Cyber Twin Dragon either."

Ashley; "I'm not done yet. Now, I synch Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior together so I can bring out Junk Warrior!" Junk Synchron only absorbed Doppelwarrior this time, and remade the purple warrior we saw before. (LV 5/ATK 2300-3100-3900-4700/DEF 1300)

Ashley: "And before you interrupt me again, I get two more Doppel Tokens thanks to Doppelwarrior's effect!" (LV 1/ATK 400-1200-2000-2800/DEF 400) (For all 3 tokens.)

Shady Guy: "Then that means…"

Ashley: "It means Junk Warrior absorbs the attack of all three of my Doppel Tokens!" (LV 5/ATK 4700-13100/DEF 1300)

Shady Guy: "WHAT THE HELL?! Over 13000 attack points?!"

Ashley: "Just barely. And since you neglected to have a Trap Card out… Junk Warrior! Attack his Cyber Twin Dragon with Scrap Fist!" Junk Warrior launched itself forward, flying at Cyber Twin Dragon, and clobbered it, blowing it up, and causing the shady man to lose all of his life points.

Shady Guy: "NOOO! Mistress, I've failed you!" Shady Guy's LP: 5200-0

Ashley wins.

The shady guy collapsed, dropping Black Luster Soldier. Ashley limped over to it, and picked it up as Ken and Kyle caught her.

Ashley: "Totally worth it…"

Kyle: "I don't know about that, Ashley. You could have died."

Ashley: "If it meant allowing you to face Jessica, I'm cool with it… ow… Damn Cyber Twin Dragon…"

Ken: "Go on, Kyle, face Jessica. I'll keep Ashley safe in case more shady guys show up."

Kyle: "Thanks, bro." He ran ahead to confront Jessica about her little 'Shadow Game' affair. Once he got far enough, he started running into other minions.

Minion: "We won't duel you, but we will use physical force."

Kyle: "Physical force, huh. Being on retirement gave me some time to train in the martial arts. Bring it!"

Minion 2: "But there are many of us."

Kyle: "Best I can do?"

Minion 3: "CHARGE!" They all jumped, charged, and ran at him.

Kyle: "Maybe I should have reconsidered…" When all of a sudden, a mark on his arm glowed.

Kyle: "Huh. Totally forgot about the Stardust sign. Okay, freaks! Get ready to get Kyle whooped!" He dodged many of them, and struck out at one with a palm strike, knocking him back while he flying side kicked through another group of minions. They got up, and some drew swords. Kyle ducked under one, then knocked the sword out of his hand.

He started to deflect the other attackers with his sword, and cut up the minions coming at him again. Many of them did not stand a chance anymore after he had a sword. They had cuts as he quickly slashed through each one. He put the sword on his belt when he saw more were coming without them. The last few started throwing ninja stars. He pulled the sword back out, running and dodging with them, then he jumped again, and punched one of the star throwers, then kicked another, and sliced the third one. The other six jumped, trying to hit him at close range, until he deflected the stars at them, they collapsed once they hit the ground again.

Kyle: "Thanks, Stardust Dragon. You da man!" Stardust's roar came from behind him, and he ran to the guy with an empty sheath,

Minion 4: "My leg! My leg…" He then picked up the sheath.

Kyle: "You won't be needing this anymore, man." He sheathed the sword, then swung it across his back like the minion had it before. He then kicked down the door, and the sign stopped glowing and became invisible again.

Jessica: "I see you made it here, Kyle. Impressive moves. Was that the power of the Signer Marks?"

Kyle: "How the fuck did you know about…"

Jessica: "My leader told me. He's been watching you and Ken especially. Ken has the mark for the Red Dragon Archfiend, you know."

Kyle: "Yeah, I know. He thinks it's coincidence, I think it's something else entirely."

Jessica: "You'd be right."

Kyle: "Enough chitchat. Where's Slifer the Sky Dragon?"

Jessica: "If you beat me in a duel, maybe I'll give him to you."

Kyle: "Fine. If you win, you get my deck…"

Jessica: "And Stardust Dragon." She smiled.

Kyle: "There's NO WAY you're getting Stardust Dragon." Stardust growled from out of nowhere.

Jessica: "Yes." She slipped on an Orichalcos Duel Disk.

Kyle: "Damn… that thing looks nice. Maybe I'll have that too, when I win."

Jessica: "We'll soon see, mortal!"

Kyle: "Aren't you a mortal?"

Jessica: "You aren't if you master the power of an Egyptian God Card." She opened her Duel Disk.

Kyle: "Just fine with me. Let's go!"

Jessica: "Let's duel!"

Round 1; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 8000

Kyle: "I draw!" He pulls a card, then looks at it.

Kyle: "I activate Ancient Rules! With it, I can summon one Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from my hand, and I choose the Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Blue-Eyes instantly hit the field, and roared gloriously, as usual. (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2500)

Kyle: "I don't have anything else for right now… your move."

Round 1; Turn 2

Jessica's LP: 8000

Jessica: "I draw!" She gets a sadistic smile when she sees what she drew.

Kyle: "What?"

Jessica: "I discard Dupe Frog to Special Summon my Swap Frog!" A yellow frog with red-stripes in patterns appeared on the field. (LV 2/ATK 1000/DEF 500)

Jessica: "Then I use Swap Frog's effect to bury a Ronintoadin from my deck, and I use Swap Frog's other effect to return himself to my hand." She sent the Ronintoadin to the graveyard.

Kyle: "This is an interesting set up…"

Jessica: "It'll only get worse from here, Kyle. Now, I discard another Ronintoadin from my hand to Special Summon him again!" Swap Frog appeared yet again, looking straight at Kyle in a derpy fashion. (LV 2/ATK 1000/DEF 500)

Jessica: "Then I use his effect to bury a Swap Frog from my deck." She sent another Swap Frog to the graveyard.

Kyle: "What are you trying to do?"

Jessica: "You'll soon see. I banish Dupe Frog and Swap Frog from my graveyard to resurrect both of my Ronintoadins!" Both blue toads hit the field. (LV 2/ATK 100/DEF 2000) (For both Ronintoadins)

Kyle: "Now I get it!"

Jessica: "Glad you finally caught on! I sacrifice all 3 of my frogs to summon Slifer the Sky Dragon!" The skies went black as the card shot out red lightning into the sky, and then the skies opened up as lightning constantly struck around Kyle, and a giant serpentine styled red dragon came down, roaring in all of it's might. It stared right at Kyle and Blue-Eyes. Blue-Eyes growled at it to show Slifer it wasn't scared. (LV 10/ATK X000/DEF X000)

Kyle: "Part of me is scared, but another part of me is excited! YEAH! If I can beat Slifer, I will be worthy of being called champ!"

Jessica: "I doubt you will. Slifer is completely undefeatble. Slifer gets 1000 attack and defense points for every card in my hand now." (LV 10/ATK 2000/DEF 2000)

Kyle: "But you can't kill Blue-Eyes now. Nice light show, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to kill this thing now."

Jessica: "I set my last two cards facedown." (LV 10/ATK 2000-0/DEF 2000-0)

Kyle: "Hmm…"

Jessica: "My turn is over. Your move, champion." She sadistically smiled again.

Round 2; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 8000

Kyle: "I draw!" He pulled another card.

Kyle (thinking): "Okay… why the fuck would she set cards down if she knows Slifer's weaker then Blue-Eyes no matter what she does? Are those draw cards? They have to be! But… I'll deal with it when it happens, I think."

Kyle: "I activate Cards of Consonance, allowing me to draw two cards by discarding a Dragon Tuner Monster with 1000 attack or less! I pick White Stone of Legend, then I use his effect to add one more Blue-Eyes White Dragon to my hand!" He drew, then shuffled his cards up.

Jessica: "I chain Appropriate! Whenever you draw cards out of your Draw Phase, I draw 2 new cards! Like now!" (LV 10/ATK 0-2000/DEF 0-2000)

Kyle: "I see what you're doing now. Okay. Fine. Blue-Eyes! Attack Slifer now! With White Lightning!" Blue-Eyes sent a breath attack at Slifer, and Jessica still did not seem afraid.

Jessica: "You activated my facedown card! Reckless Greed! Now I draw two new cards from my deck!" (LV 10/ATK 2000-4000/DEF 2000-4000)

Kyle: "No! Blue-Eyes!"

Jessica: "Slifer! Thunder Force Attack!" Slifer blasted Blue-Eyes back, overpowering and destroying him easily. Kyle flew backwards, and skidded across the floor a few feet. Kyle's LP: 8000-7000

Jessica: "Too bad, so sad."

Kyle: "Ugh… I set 1 monster in defense mode, then place 2 cards facedown. Your move, Jessica."

Round 2; Turn 2

Jessica: "Because of Reckless Greed, I'm not allowed to draw. Lucky you, I suppose."

Kyle: "Yeah. Lucky…"

Slifer: "Kyle… help me… She's forcing me to fight against my will."

Jessica: "Shut up! Do what you're told!"

Kyle: "You can hear duel spirits, too?"

Jessica: "Uh huh. It's how I can control Slifer. My ability is not just to talk to them, and see them. I can also control them."

Kyle: "You sick fuck…"

Jessica: "I think you mean… smart girl."

Kyle: "Just go. Don't worry Slifer! I'll save you!"

Slifer: "Hurry…"

Jessica: "I activate Salvage! This lets me add two water monsters with 1500 or less attack to my hand from my graveyard! I choose both Ronintoadins!" (LV 10/ATK 4000-3000-5000/DEF 4000-3000-5000)

Jessica: "Then I activate Shield Crush to destroy your facedown monster!" (LV 10/ATK 5000-4000/DEF 5000-4000)

Kyle: "It was Totem Dragon."

Jessica: "Slifer! Attack Kyle directly!" Slifer tried to not charge his blast, Kyle saw it, but he fired anyway.

Kyle: "GGAAAAAAAGGHHHH!" Kyle's LP: 7000-3000 he was on his knees, gasping, and panting as Jessica laughed maniacally.

Jessica: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! How does it feel to get hit by an Egyptian God Card head on, huh?! Tell me that!"

Kyle: "Oww…" He got up slowly, panting from his breaths again.

Jessica: "Your turn."

Round 3; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 3000

Kyle: "I draw, then!" He drew, then looked at the card, hoping it was an out to Slifer, or at least something to stall with.

Kyle: "Standby Phase! Totem Dragon comes back from my graveyard!" (LV 2/ATK 400/DEF 200)

Jessica: "You activated Slifer's special ability! When you summon a monster with less than 2000 ATK or DEF, Slifer instantly destroys it!" Slifer shot a blast from his second mouth, destroying Totem Dragon instantly.

Kyle: "Holy crap! Are you serious?!"

Jessica: "It just happened, didn't it?"

Kyle: "Fuck…" he banished Totem Dragon, as per his effect.

Kyle: "If that's how you're going to play, then I summon Dandylion!"

Dandylion: "W-wait, what?!

Kyle: "Sorry buddy! But I need you to kamikaze right now!" Dandylion appeared on the field, looking up at Slifer with a gaping mouth. (LV 3/ATK 300/DEF 300)

Dandylion: "Maybe we can talk about this?!"

Jessica: "Eager to go to the graveyard, are we?! Okay then! Slifer! Do it!" Slifer sent another blast out of his second mouth. Dandylion tried to run away, but was blown up.

Kyle: "That activates Dandylion's effect, summoning two Fluff Tokens to the field!" The Fluff Tokens appeared, and looked up at Slifer. (LV 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) (For both tokens.) They looked up at Slifer, as well, and instantly freaked out.

Jessica: "More lambs to the slaughter! Slifer! Again!"

Kyle: "I activate my facedown card! Starlight Road! This will negate Slifer's effect, and destroy him, also allowing me to summon Stardust Dragon!" The trap card sent out a light beam, but Slifer's beam overpowered it.

Kyle: "Wait! Huh?!" Both Fluff Tokens were annihilated, but Stardust Dragon was still summoned. (LV 8/ATK 2500/DEF 2000)

Kyle: "I don't understand! How was Slifer not destroyed?"

Jessica: "Slifer can't be stopped by a measly Trap Card, Kyle. He's an Egyptian God! However, I do give you an A for effort. At least Stardust can stay on the field for now."

Kyle: "Okay. Change of plan. I also activate Assault Mode Activate! Sending Stardust Dragon to the graveyard to summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode from my deck!" Stardust obtained his old armor, then hit the field, roaring at Slifer. (LV 10/ATK 3000/DEF 2500)

Jessica: "Okay then. Whatever."

Kyle: "I activate Trade-In! I discard my other Blue-Eyes White Dragon to draw 2 new cards from my deck!"

Jessica: "Which activates Appropriate, allowing me to draw 2 cards as well!"

Kyle: "I use Assault Stardust's effect! Tributing him to negate and destroy Appropriate! You won't be drawing like that again!"

Jessica: "No!" Appropriate was blown up as Stardust Assault Mode exploded on it.

Kyle: "I now end my turn, and Stardust Assault Mode will come back in Defense Mode." (LV 10/ATK 3000/DEF 2500)

Round 3; Turn 2

Jessica's LP: 8000

Jessica: "You think because I lost Appropriate, Slifer will be useless to me?! You're worng! Reckless Greed forces me to skip my draw phase this turn as well… but it won't matter. Slifer! Attack Assault Stardust!" Slifer blasted Stardust Dragon, destroying him.

Kyle: "And because he's killed, I get to summon back the regular Stardust Dragon in Attack Mode!" The regular Stardust came back, roaring. (LV 8/ATK 2500/DEF 2000)

Jessica: "I end my turn. Go!"

Slifer: "Quickly now. I may be too strong for you…"

Round 4; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 3000

Kyle (thinking): "Don't worry Slifer, I'll figure out a way to get around this."

Kyle: "I draw!" He looked at the card.

Kyle (Thinking): "At least I got rid of Appropriate. That was gonna be a pain in my ass…"

Kyle: "I activate Dark Factory of Mass Production! With this, I can add 2 Normal Monsters in my graveyard to my hand! I choose 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragons!" He pulled them into his hand.

Kyle: "Now I activate Polymerization to fuse all three of my Blue-Eyes White Dragons into Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" he discarded them all, and a three headed dragon got to the field, roaring in absolute glory. (LV 12/ATK 4500/DEF 3800)

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Neutron Blast!" Blue-Eyes blasted Slifer with all three of it's mouths.

Jessica: "N-no! My Slifer! AGH!" Jessica's LP: 8000-7500

Kyle: "Now, Stardust Dragon! Attack her directly with Cosmic Flare!" Stardust blasted her with a white mouth beam.

Jessica: "OOWWW!" Jessica's LP: 7500-5000

Kyle: "I set my last card facedown, and end my turn." Jessica panted feverishly.

Slifer: "Thank you! Now I can begin to resist this!"

Kyle: "I'll beat her as soon as I can, bud! I promise!"

Round 4; Turn 2

Jessica's LP: 5000

Jessica: "You think I've lost just because I lost my Slifer the Sky Dragon? How wrong you are, BITCH! I draw!" She drew her card, since Reckless Greed's deck lockdown was gone. She looked at the card, and smiled a bit.

Kyle: "What are you gonna summon now?"

Jessica: "You'll find out. Standby Phase. Since I have no other monsters on my field, my Treeborn Frog can resurrect himself." A tiny little derpy frog with wings came to the field now. (LV 1/ATK 100/DEF 100)

Jessica: "Now I activate Card Destruction. I can discard my entire hand, and draw 4 new cards."

Kyle: "And I… get nothing. I have nothing to discard or draw."

Jessica: "Exactly." She drew her new cards then looked at them.

Jessica: "Now I activate Monster Reincarnation, discarding Blackwing – Zephyros the Elite to return Slifer to my hand!"

Kyle: "No! I got out of it once already!"

Jessica: "I return Treeborn Frog to my hand to summon Zephyros from my graveyard, but I lose 400 life points." (LV 4/ATK 1600/DEF 1000) Jessica's LP: 5000-4600

Jessica: "I will then remove two frogs from my graveyard to summon back two Ronintoadins from the graveyard!" (LV 2/ATK 100/DEF 2000) (for both Ronintoadin's.)

Kyle: "Again…" His eyes narrowed at her.

Jessica: "I sacrifice Zephyros and my Ronintoadins to summon Slifer the Sky Dragon!" The clouds went black for a second time, and Slifer descended in the same fashion as before. He roared, with red lightning striking everywhere. (LV 10/ATK 3000/DEF 3000)

Kyle: "Unfortunately for you, he's still weaker than Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!"

Jessica: "Doesn't matter at the moment! Slifer! Destroy Stardust with your Thunder Force Attack!" Slifer launched another lightning breath attack out, and it hit Stardust, destroying him.

Kyle: "Ergh…" Kyle's LP: 3000-2500

Jessica: "I will then set two cards facedown and end my turn." (LV 10/ATK 3000-1000/DEF 3000-1000)

Round 5; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 2500

Kyle: "I'm still in the game Slifer! I draw!" he drew his card, then looked at it.

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Finish Slifer again! Neutron Blast!" Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon launched three blasts again.

Jessica: "You activated both of my facedown cards! Both of them are Reckless Greed! I now draw 4 cards!" (LV 10/ATK 1000-5000/DEF 1000-5000)

Kyle: "Again with the draw before I attack bullshit?!"

Jessica: "Slifer! Destroy Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Thunder Force Attack!"

Kyle: "I activate my facedown card! De-Fusion! This will split Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon back into his three separate selves! I put them all in Defense Mode!" (LV 8/ATK 3000/DEF 2500) Slifer's attack missed, hitting the ground just in front of them.

Jessica: "Now you're just stalling, you know." She giggled evilly.

Kyle: "Um… I end my turn."

Round 5; Turn 2

Jessica's LP: 4600

Jessica: "Because of my Reckless Greed's, I can't draw right now. But it won't matter, as usual. Slifer! Destroy one of the Blue-Eyes'! Thunder Force Attack!" Slifer attacked, blowing up one of the Blue-Eyes White Dragons.

Kyle: "Sorry, buddy…"

Jessica: "I will then set one monster in defense mode, and end my turn." (LV 10/ATK 5000-4000/DEF 5000-4000)

Round 6; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 2500

Kyle: "I draw!" he drew his next card, and looked at it, hoping it would help save him, or stall, again.

Kyle: "I set 1 card facedown, and call it a turn."

Round 6; Turn 2

Jessica's LP: 4600

Jessica: "Still can't get what you want? You're lucky. Reckless Greed still prevents me from drawing. Here goes my move. I flip summon my Treeborn Frog." The derp frog reappeared. (LV 1/ATK 100/DEF 100)

Jessica: "I will then discard 1 card from my hand to resurrect my Fishborg Blaster." (LV 1/ATK 100/DEF 200)

Slifer the Sky Dragon (LV 10/ATK 4000-3000/DEF 4000-3000)

Jessica: "Because Treeborn Frog is a level 1 monster, and Fishborg is a level 1 tuner, I can synchro summon…" Fishborg turned into a pillar of light as Treeborn Frog floated into it. Once the scanning sequence was done, a new monster appeared.

Jessica: "Formula Synchron! A Synchro Tuner monster." (LV 2/ATK 200/DEF 1500)

Jessica: "Now, for Formula Synchron's effect. I can draw 1 more card." (LV 10/ATK 3000-4000/DEF 3000-4000)

Jessica: "I will now summon Oyster Meister from my hand!" An oyster shell covered humanoid was then summoned. (LV 3/ATK 1600/DEF 200)

Slifer the Sky Dragon (LV 10/ATK 4000-3000/DEF 4000-3000)

Jessica: "I will also discard one card to resurrect my Fishborg Blaster from the graveyard." (LV 1/ATK 100/DEF 200)

Jessica: "I will now synch Formula Synchron with Oyster Meister to summon T.G. Hyper Librarian!" Formula Synchron made a pillar of light as Oyster Meister hopped into it. The light disappeared, creating a librarian monster holding a magic book. His robes were white, and his glasses lenses were blue. (LV 5/ATK 2400/DEF 1800)

Jessica: "And thanks to Oyster Meister's effect, if he's sent to the graveyard as Synchro material, I get to summon an Oyster Token." A tiny Oyster appeared on the field. (LV 1/ATK 0/DEF 0)

Jessica: "And now I'll synch Fishborg with the Oyster Token to make another Formula Synchron!" Fishbog enveloped the oyster, and made another racing car. It revved up, swerving around Kyle, then stopping in front of Slifer. (LV 2/ATK 200/DEF 1500)

Jessica: "And now both Librarian's and Formula's effects activate at the same time. I'll draw 1 from Formula's eff, then draw 1 from Librarian because I Synchro Summoned." (LV 10/ATK 2000-4000/DEF 2000-4000)

Kyle: "I hate this so much right now…"

Jessica: "Don't worry. It will all be over soon. Your Stardust Dragon will soon be mine."

Kyle: "Never gonna happen."

Jessica: "I will now synch Formula Synchron and Hyper Librarian into Ancient Sacred Wyvern!" Formula Synchron revved up into T.G. Hyper Librarian, as he jumped into the light, and was absorbed. The resulting creature was another serpentine dragon, but now it was white, had golden frilly hair, and red marks on it's face. It also roared at Kyle. (LV 7/ATK 2100/DEF 2000)

Kyle: "Ancient Sacred Wyvern? First time I've seen that."

Jessica: "Then let me explain it. He will gain the difference in our life points as attack points."

Kyle: "WHAT?!" (LV 7/ATK 2100-4200/DEF 2000)

Jessica: "Next turn, it's over! Slifer! Attack a Blue-Eyes White Dragon using your Thunder Force Strike!" Slifer blasted Blue-Eyes, reducing him to ashes.

Jessica: "Now, Wyvern! Kill the last one!" Wyvern breathed fire at the last Blue-Eyes, destroying it. Kyle recoiled at this. She just managed to kill all three Blue-Eyes White Dragons without trying.

Jessica: "You have one last turn to defeat me. Draw your last pathetic card, Kyle, so that I can win this duel."

Round 7; Turn 1

Kyle's LP: 2500

Kyle: "My deck has no pathetic cards Jessica! I draw!" Kyle looked at his hand. It was Black Luster Soldier, and Trade-In.

Kyle (thinking): "I have no other choices right now. If this doesn't work, I am done for."

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon isn't my strongest monster."

Jessica: "Oh? What is it?'

Kyle: "That's what you're gonna find out. I activate Trade-In to discard my Black Luster Soldier to draw two new cards!" he pulled the new cards out while having to draw two new ones.

Jessica: "Black Luster Soldier? You must be desperate."

Kyle: "Shut up! I activate Dragon's Mirror, banishing my three Blue-Eyes White Dragons from the game so I can fuse them into Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" Yet again, the three headed dragon arose. (LV 12/ATK 4500/DEF 3800)

Jessica: "Interesting."

Kyle: "I also have a second Dragon's Mirror!"

Jessica: "S-second?!"

Kyle: "I banish Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, and Black Luster Soldier, so that I can summon… DRAGON MASTER KNIGHT!" A mirror appeared, releasing Black Luster Soldier, then he hopped onto Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon's back. The dragon roared as Black Luster Soldier pointed his sword at Slifer. (LV 12/ATK 5000/DEF 5000)

Jessica: "Impressive, but still not enough power to win."

Kyle: "That's what you think. I activate my facedown card! Return from the Different Dimension! I pay half of my life points… to summon back banished monsters until I fill my field back up. So here comes Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, and my three Blue-Eyes White Dragons! This activates Dragon Master Knight's effect! He gains 500 extra attack points for each dragon on my side of the field other than himself!" Kyle's LP: 2500-1250

Kyle: "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon! Attack Ancient Sacred Wyvern! With Neutron Blast!" The dragon blasted Wyvern, and Wyvern was disintegrated. Jessica's LP:1600-0

Kyle wins.

Jessica: "AGGH!" She then dropped Slifer the Sky Dragon, and passed out.

Kyle: "You looked good, but you acted SO mean…" he said this as all of the dragons disappeared.

Dandylion: "You used me on a suicide mission JUST to summon Stardust!?"

Kyle: "Sorry, Dandy. I had to do something…"

Dandylion: "Well, it did help get us Slifer in the end. I just hope he's okay."

Kyle: "He should be. Poor guy. Being used for the wrong reaons…"

Dandylion: "Tell me about it…" He picked up Slifer's card after walking to it.

Kyle: "Aww, it's fine. Hey Slifer, how you holding up?"

Slifer: "Much better, thank you. I feel her hold being released from me as we speak. Thank you, Kyle. I hope I can be a valuable asset to you in future duels."

Kyle: "You will, I'm sure, pal."

Jessica: "U-ugh…"

Slifer: "She's getting up."

Kyle: "I thought we were having a Shadow Duel. Shouldn't she be dead?"

Dandylion: "Most curious indeed." Kyle walked up to her, and helped her up.

Jessica: "T-thanks. Where am I?"

Kyle: "We had a Shadow Duel, and I won?"

Jessica: "that explains the crazy duel disk… I was attacked by some stupid cloaked guy and… why am I wearing lingerie?"

Kyle: "I dunno. I found you like that."

Jessica: "Well, thanks for saving me, I guess… Is that Slifer the Sky Dragon?"

Kyle: "Yep. Someone stole it and gave it to you."

Jessica: "Stole it, then made me use it against you?"

Kyle: "Yeah. You nearly won, too."

Jessica: "Can I check my deck?" She pulled her deck out, then checked her cards.

Kyle: "Good to know. Need help getting home?"

Jessica: "Probably. Where are we?" She raised her sunglasses up, and her eyes were hazel.

Kyle: "In some city not too far from Domino. Why?"

Jessica: "Just making sure. I could use your help to get back, if you got here by yourself easily enough."

Kyle: "Consider it done. Let's just make sure my friends are okay. Your… minions kinda beat my girlfriend up."

Jessica: "Oh. I apologize!"

Kyle: "I beat up all of them."

Jessica: "A duelist, and a martial artist? Are you insane?"

Kyle: "Not really. I just like doing stuff."

Dandylion: "You can say that again."

Jessica: "Aww, a Dandylion duel spirit? So cute!"

Zephyros: 'Glad to see I can reach you again, Jessie." I saw a Zephyros walk up to us.

Jessica: "Hey, Zephy!"

Dandylion: "If it's any consolation, Kyle calls me Dandy all the time."

Zephyros: "And I thought I had it bad."

Jessica: "Zeph, this guy saved me."

Zephyros: "I know. For that, I have nothing but gratitude. That card, Slifer the Sky Dragon, almost shut me off from her."

Kyle: "Well, Dandylion and I are just fine."

Jessica: "I'll let you take me home then." I walked with them as Dandylion floated next to me. I caught up with Ken and Ashley.

Ashley: "Honey…"

Jessica: "I came to apologize. Those Shadow League guys wiped my memory and gave me Slifer, but I see he'll be in good hands."

Ken: "Good to see it wasn't out of your own free will, Jessica."

Jessica: "I guess my evil rep precedes me… Kyle's gonna help me get home after we get you to a hospital, Ashley."

Ashley: "Thanks."

Kyle: "That was the toughest duel of my life. Obelisk and Ra are only going to be harder to duel against. I hope I can handle it." Kyle took one last look at Slifer.

Slifer: "I need the others to get back to Atem, yes."
