Chapter 8
Goku and the hybrid creature appeared in the mountain area that he and Superman fought earlier where they could continue the fight away from people. Superman was there waiting for them. The Saiyan monster swung at Goku and sent him flying back. After Goku recovered he readied himself for the next move.
"Nice trick," said Superman.
"It comes in handy," replied the Saiyan."Now that we're in a more open area I can do this."
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Goku unleashed his power with great force. Powerful winds were created from the force of his energy. His golden spiky hair grew in length as he transformed again. Superman watched in awe as the transformation was complete. Goku stood now ready to give the fight everything he had.
"This is Super Saiyan 3," Goku stated. "Now, let's try this gain."
"Now that we're away from people I think it's safe for me to go all out as well," said Superman.
"There's no use holding back now. We need to stop this thing one way or another."
Goku charged with great speed at the Broly look alike and kicked it in the stomach. The force was enough to send it flying into a mountain. "KAMEHAMEHAAAAAAAAA," Goku shouted with a mighty roar as he blasted his signature move at the hybrid. The impact sending it through the mountain and out the other side. Superman appeared before the creature and delivered a powerful follow up blow. Their attacks were now having an effect on the creature.
The magical beast recovered and got up to his feet as Goku appeared and aimed a fist to it's face. The monster caught the fist and aimed it's own at Goku's face. It connected and spent Goku around where the creature followed up with an energy blast to the back. Goku was sent straight into Superman and the two went flying into the dirt.
"What incredible power, it can even keep up with Super Saiyan 3. I knew this wouldn't be easy, but I think it might even be stronger than Majin Buu."
"Glad you're amused," said Superman. "We need to come up with a plan."
The Javelin –
"Have you located them J'onn," Batman asked as he piloted the ship.
"Yes I've found them. The battle seems to have intensified. Goku has transformed again and it seems Superman is not pulling any punches either," replied the Martian as he used his mental abilities to locate the battle.
"This is insane. How could anything be that powerful," said Kara.
"This creature was created from the magical energy released from the crystal. It is a manifestation of the imbalance created with Goku in our world and my son in his. We must bring my son home and return Goku to his if we are to fix this," said Morgain.
"I never expected you to play the hero Morgain," said Jason Blood.
"I do not care for being the hero like you people. I only care about getting my son back," the sorceress told him.
Back to the Battle –
Goku charged again and kneed the creature in the face. The monster punched Goku in the stomach making the Saiyan hunch over. It grabbed Goku's face and slammed him into a large rock. Superman punched the beast in the stomach causing some pain. Kal then unleashed his heat vision in full force blasting the giant a good distance back. That seemed to have better results as the monster was slower to get back up.
"Looks like he felt that one," said Goku.
"Looks like you're feeling something too," Superman observed.
"Super Saiyan 3 drains my energy faster than I'd like. I can only maintain this form for so long."
"Any ideas? Everyone must be on their way here already"
"I can sense their presence and they're not far now."
Their hybrid enemy released a large wave of energy at the heroes and Goku caught it with his hands holding it back.
"You've got an opening attack now," Goku said to Superman.
"Gotcha," said the Man of Steel before flying up into the air and coming down behind the monster. Clenching both hands together he brought them down on the hybrid's head making it hunch over. That made the magic creature lose it's wave and Goku then attacked with a fist it's face sending the monster flying. Goku flew after it at great speed preparing his next attack.
"DRAGON FIST!" Goku yelled as he unleashed one of his most powerful attacks on Broly Doomsday hybrid. The attack was big and could feel it's power from a distance. When the smoke cleared Goku could be seen, but he was in is normal form now.
"I can't believe he has an attack that powerful. He really is full of surprises," Superman couldn't help but observe. He flew over to where Goku was standing. The saiyan warrior was sweaty and out of breath. "That was some attack."
"That attack weakened it considerably. It's not over yet though."
"You're kidding. So what now?"
"I've got an idea. I need you to hold it off for a little bit. I'm going to gather energy for a Spirit Bomb. That should end this."
"A what?"
"It's an attack that uses the energy from different life forms. It shouldn't take much, I did a lot of damage with my last attack. The others should be here anytime now. We have to end this now," said Goku.
"Alright I trust you. Let's get this done," said Superman as they noticed the hybrid getting up from a pile of rubble. Superman charged at the creature as Goku put his hands in the air. Closing his eyes he began to call on different life forms on the planet to lend him energy.
Superman was attacking the monster head on. The hybrid had slowed down from the damage it sustained, but was still fighting. The Man of Steel unleashed on the menace. The creature was still strong and putting up a fight. It could give back to Kal well enough for the Kryptonian to feel it. As the battle waged the Javelin arrived with the others leaving the ship. They noticed Goku with his hands in the air and his clothes torn. He was glowing with energy. They also noticed Superman taking on the monster.
"SUPERMAN IT'S READY! GET OUT OF THERE," Goku warned after forming the energy he gathered into a ball. Superman delivered a powerful blow to the monster's stomach making it hunch over. Having heard this Superman flew out of the way before Goku threw the ball at the monster. The Spirit Bomb made contact with the hybrid creating a blinding flash of light.
When it was over everyone noticed that the creature was on the ground and not moving. After a minute or two the monster made no effort to get up. "It's over," said Superman.
"Good, then we can finally put everything right." Goku's thoughts were of his family and friends back home. He missed them and was looking forward to seeing then again. With any luck there wouldn't be too much trouble from now on.
"You did well my friend. You look like you could use a rest," said Martian Manhunter.
"I'll be fine. I've been through worse than this," replied Goku.
"Then I can begin by dispelling this creature and reclaiming the crystal for us," said Morgain. Using her magic the hybrid began to vanish as the crystal appeared before them in a flash of light. She immediately began to open a portal to Goku's dimension.
"I have opened a door, but not everyone will be able to cross over. I must go myself to retrieve my son. Goku will also be going, but I can only take one more. I will then be able to bring us back home once we are finished."
"I'll go," said Superman. "What do you say we finish this thing together Goku."
"Sounds Good," said Goku.
"So this is goodbye then," said Wonder Woman. "It was an honor to fight beside you."
"Likewise, I'm glad I got to meet all of you."
"Yes well. Best of luck," said Batman.
"I believe that is his way of saying he'll miss you," said J'onn.
"It's been interesting. Too bad you can't stay. We could use someone like you," said John Stewart.
"I might be going home, but I'll always be with you guys in spirit. Who knows, maybe one day we'll see each other again," said Goku.
"Time is short. We must leave now," said Morgain.
"Goodbye everyone. I'll always remember our time together," Goku said as he turned to leave. He made his way through the portal with Superman and Morgain following.
