Light opens the door and sitting at a dining table is a fox thing. It has a full tan body with red eyes but it also has nine tails. Light and Winter walk in,"Hello sweetie what happened?" Winter's Mom says Light knows her as a Ninetales.
"I rather not talk about it," Winter says as she starts going to her room.
Light walks up to the table and jumps onto one of the chairs,"So Winter, who's your fiance?" Winter's Mom asks as both of them blush.
Winter quickly retreats to her room,"Um my name is Light and I am her partner," Light says as he looks at Winter's Mom.
"Interesting name but have you been taking care of her but why is she back with nothing on?" Winter Mom asks as Light thinks to himself of where the father is.
"I have been trying to take care of her but she is back without her stuff because she has been harming herself just because of a single injury that happened to me," Light says as Winter's Mom gives him an interesting look.
"Well what happened to you that she is hurting herself?" Winter's Mom asks as she gets up and heads over to a cupboard.
"Well I was forced to mate which she doesn't know about but the person that did it stabbed a mark into me which is an eye with a x going through it and she is trying to recreate it," Light says as Winter's Mom grabs a bandana.
She puts it on the table and it has a moon with a red claw mark going through it,"This is mine and my husband's bandana which our team was called Night Slash and we had our problems and frustrations but we got along very well," Winter's Mom says as she takes her seat again.
"Good to know but how does this have anything to do with Winter hurting herself and another thing can I have a name please?" Light asks as he looks at the bandana.
"I would rather not say and since you are her partner you have to help her get through it and do it with her but I will have to help her get better and this is not the first time this has happened," Winter's Mom says as someone touches Light on the shoulder.
Light turns around and sees a white Umbreon staring him down,"GET ON THE GROUND AND GIVE ME TEN!" Winter's Dad yells as Light is reminded of his drill sergeant.
Light jumps on the ground but he doesn't know how to do a pushup as a four legged pokemon,"Hehe I am just playing with you but why are you here?" he asks as relief goes through Light.
"I am here because your daughter tried hurting herself with an ice crystal that she sharpened to knife point and she did it because I injured myself by someone else," Light says as the Umbreon goes over to his wife.
"Okay so where is she now?" Winter's Dad asks as he goes over to the same cabinet.
"She is in her room sir," Light says as Winter's Dad brings a metal disk to the table.
"Okay I will check on her and start the process again but you are human and I can sense that but I am human myself and maybe that is why Winter is an Alolan Vulpix instead of normal," Winter's Dad says as Light hops back into his seat.
"Um good to know but what is that disk for?" Light asks as Winter's Dad grabs it again.
"It makes your energy signature the same as whatever pokemon you want," Winter's Dad says as he goes over to Light.
"Oh okay but you two seem very unworried about your daughter and more focused on me," Light says, confused about how they are acting.
Winter's Dad then grabs Light but he feels surprisingly calm. Light watches as he puts the disk inside of the bandana and he feels clips contact with his mane,"Alrighty now that's done let's go talk to Winter," Winter's Dad says as he walks over to Winter's room.
Light follows. Winter's Dad opens the door and Light sees that it is a normal teenager room like things are everywhere and there is an odd collection of things which are rocks,"Hey sweetie how are we doing?" he says as he goes to her bed.
"Good I got a little frustrated that's all," Winter says as Light sits close to her bed but still keeping distance.
"Well not from what I have heard you tried hurting yourself just over something that was resolved and token care of," Winter's Dad says as he pets her.
"I let him get hurt. I should have been there to help but I was in the middle of helping someone else," Winter says as she turns her head away from her Dad.
"Well I was hurt when I was away from your mom but she didn't blame it on herself but you have to realize that you are in control of this feeling of blame and I or mom will not be around to help so I suggest you start listening to your partner and start trying not to blame yourself for everything that goes wrong," Winter's Dad says as he leaves the room and leaves Light alone with her.
"Winter he is right and you can't blame him for trying to help and you can't just sit here and grief and continue to hurt yourself but that is my opinion," Light says as Winter looks down.
"I let you get hurt, I let it happen, what am I supposed to say that it wasn't? It was up to me to go save the Growlithe or go and help you," Winter says as Light climbs onto her bed to try to smooth her stress.
"Look you didn't know that it happened and you only learned about it after you saved the Growlithe and the event was over so please try to get that through your head," Light says as Winter sits up.
"Okay but while we are on break might as well teach you some moves so you can actually fight instead of using your claws and teeth," Winter says as she fully gets out of bed.
Light nods and he follows Winter, who takes him to a field where there is a good amount of wind but still in the view of the house,"So I think we should do tackle then bite the dark type variety then protect," she says as Light looks at the light bending trees from the wind.
Light nods then Winter walks a bit,"Come on and attack me," she says as she sits down.
Light gets in an attacking position then he changes at Winter and hits her but she is still standing,"Well that wasn't so bad so it counts I guess," she says as Light backs up and gets ready for another attack.
"So up next is bite. Do you feel this stuff kinda just flowing through you just doing its own thing?" she asks as Light returns to a normal stance.
"Um no I haven't felt anything like that, why?" Light asks as the breeze starts to get stronger.
"Well because it is the stuff you use to make the moves or certain ones but try to imagine it," Winter says as Light gets back into a fighting stance
Light starts to imagine a substance that acts like how Winter explains it, then he feels the stuff and he also finds out that he has control over it. He then moves it to his teeth and he tastes this bitter taste but doesn't know if he has it or not,"Why aren't you attacking? You have the move," she says as Light opens his mouth all the way because of the bitterness and to get a better hold when he attacks.
Light springs forward and goes to bite Winter on the arm. Winter grabs some crystals and makes a wall of them. Light goes through the crystals and still locks onto Winter's arm but he doesn't get the stronger and powerful grip that he wanted but he notices that Winter did finch,"Sorry for the surprise but I needed you not to use full force," she says as she prepares a couple of crystals for something.
"Now protect yourself," she says as she sends the crystals right towards Light with decent speed.
Light brings the stuff to his nose but he doesn't know how it is formed and he doesn't know how to get the stuff off his nose. Light gets hit with the volley of ice crystals which feels like needles going into him but it is not so bad,"Hey Winter about what you were saying earlier what exactly is this stuff?" Light asks as Winter prepares the next volley.
"Well it is a type of energy I guess but we don't really know but get ready," Winter says as she gets ready to send the crystals.
Light stands in defense and gets the energy to his nose and he pushes it out. Light then makes the energy go into a grid formation and he watches as a shield forms and blocks the crystals which made a nice creak sound every time they hit the shield,"Good but we should start heading back it looks like a storm is on its way," she says as Light feels a little rain.
Light and Winter go back to the house where Winter's parents are waiting by the door,"Hey Mom hey Dad," Winter says as they fully get in the house.
Light closes the door,"Hey Winter me and your dad have something to say," Winter's Mom says as they go over to the dining table.
Winter gives them an interesting look, so does Light. They both take a seat at the table,"Well me and your mom have been trying for another kit for a while but we finally have one and he'll be here soon," Night says as Winter's face brightens up but then goes back to disappointment.
"So does that explain the odd noises from your room?" Winter asks which her dad looks at her with oddness.
"Only if you knew Winter only if you knew," Light thinks to himself while making a face that he didn't notice.
"Yes but I think your partner knows what exactly happened or may have experience it," Winter's Mom says as Winter snaps her neck to look over at Light
"Um no I don't well no I don't even know what you are talking about," Light says making it up on the fly.
"Come on Light don't lie to her, you told me about the event and there was a lot more than a stabbing and she will learn sooner than later," Winter's Mom says as Light can feel Winter's eyes burn into him.
"Light, what are you hiding from me?" Winter says as Light looks over at her and sees that she is not happy.
"Look I rather not talk about it," Light says as Winter slowly gets ready to beat him for answers.
"Light answer me I want to know what else happened to you," Winter says as she stands up.
"Look I don't want to answer that and I should be able to keep it to myself," Light says as he looks away from Winter.
Winter pounces at Light which knocks over her chair but she grabs Light and starts attacking him. Winter's parents take her and Light away from each other,"Okay now that was unexpected but Winter he told you that he doesn't want to talk about it even though your mom forced it," Winter's Dad says as he lets go of Light.
Winter's Mom takes her to her room,"Well that went south fast and now she probably hates me and doesn't trust me either," Light says as he stands up.
"She'll get over it but for right now I suggest you go back to base and I will send her when she is ready," Winter's Dad says as Winter's Mom comes out of her room.
"Hey sorry for that I thought that it would be a good idea because it would teach her about mating but it would also help you by getting it off your shoulders but I was wrong," Winter's Mom applages for what happened.
"It's okay but I will go now," Light says as he leaves the house and starts down the path.
