Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN DEVIL MAY CRY OR IT'S CHARACTERS! JUST MY OC'S.

Recap: "No, no!" She shrieked and fired her gun, and the next instant she was engulfed in a blue sphere. The next? She fell into a lot of bloody pieces. Standing in the doorway was Vergil, dressed in a blue trench coat with a katana at side, Nero in a purple trench coat. A very large sword resting on his shoulder and a very large revolver holstered on his leg. Marta screamed as I swore.

Marta stopped screaming and started to back away from my leg, I put a hand on her back to keep her from going back through the painting. "Trust me, going back is a lot worse than going forward." I told her. I turned to glare at the remains of Debbie Pelt and turned the glare up at Vergil. "You know I wanted to do that." I told him morosely.

He only raised an eyebrow a fraction of an inch. "A dog biting it's owner?" he observes mockingly. I smirked at him and shook my head.

"No, just someone with an axe to grind."

Nero raised his gun at my head and glared. "Hand over the girl as-"

"No cursing in front of her." I replied back with a smile. That seemed to stun Nero for a second and it gave me the time to look down at Marta. "Marta, can you go with them please?"

"WHAT?!" was the response I got from the three of them.

I looked back at the two hunters and smiled. "Isn't that what you came to do? To save the girl?" I ask sweetly. Vergil gave me a flat glare as Nero was questioning on whether or not to shot me. "So then? Do you want to take Marta away from this place or not?"

"You're serious?" Nero asks unbelieving. I shrugged and gritted my teeth as something that felt like being cut with a serrated blade go up my back. Damn it Dee!

"Either you escort her out, or I will." I tell them as I take a step forward and almost slip on a piece of Debbie.

"Eww." Marta says as she looks at the bloody bits and pieces in disgusted fascination.

"Nero, take the girl and get her out of here." Vergil says as he slightly lowers his katana.

"You sure?" Nero asks, his expression was his usual don't fuck with me look in place. I wonder if he's as sociopathic as his boyfriend?

Vergil's glance at him showed he didn't appreciate being questioned. "Just do it, I'd like to talk with this one." He said, his grip tightening on the scabbard of his sword.

Nero sighed and raised his big ass revolver and pointed it up in the air. "Fine, come on kid. Lets get you out of here." He said as he attempted to hide his… wow I did not see the other arm. It looked like some clawed gauntlet that was powered by electricity. I'd say a twisted version of Iron Man's right arm on his suit mixed with a haunted version of a knights glove. "Take a picture." He growls.

I shrug and guide Marta forward. "Go on now, you'll get back to your mother faster with him than with me."

"Okay." She says absently as she moves forward. She didn't even bother trying to avoid the blood guts and bone chunks unless they made to much of a loud noise. They squished and squashed making loud sucking noises. She was about three fourths of the way there when she tripped and screamed.

"You little whore." A raspy familiar voice said hauntingly. We immediately went on the offensive as Nero and I raced to Marta's side. Something bubbled and the blood started to swirl, and then Debbie Pelt started to reform with her hand around Marta's Ankle.

"Why won't you just die?" I ask bewildered as I get to where I see Debbie's skinned head looking up at me from a little spot on the floor. Her skin crawled towards the pool like caterpillars and Marta screamed again. I brought up my foot and something shot past me and wrapped around Marta. "What the hell?" I turned around and saw a chain made of crushed and reformed bones coming out of the painting. A ghostly bluish white claw the size of a bears torso flew past me and grabbed ahold of bone chain and pulled. The bones snapped and something roared in anguish.

The claw went back behind me and when I turned, I found it picking up Marta and that it came from Nero's arm. Debbie screeched and punted her head. I felt a dull impact against bone and then it was kicking a piñata filled with water balloons of red paint. The paint goes everywhere and all over you, but your foot gets caught by the remaining structure of piñata, read Debbie's head.

"We'll need to burn the house down soon." Vergil says absently to no one as Nero picks up Marta and heads for the door. "Grab the kerosene and some of Dante's alcohol, if he's going to keep it in the car, might as well make use of it." My eye twitched at that statement. I have a dour point on alcohol, but I usually just don't give a damn on people's consumption of it as long as it doesn't endager someone. I might just shoot Dante on implied principal. I fling my foot around and the remaining skull goes flying into the crotch of a paint of Aron. Nero disappears out of the door and I look at Vergil.

"So then, are you going to kill me like her? Or are we just going to actually 'talk'?" I ask him boredly as I scrap bits of brain matter on the floor.

"You're not Claude, are you?" He asks absently while he moves forward.

"Oh? What makes you say that?" I ask him coyly. Wait a second… would this count as flirting or something? God I need to stop watching so much tv.

Vergil rolls his eyes as he steps on Debbie's loose eyeball. "Because the real Claude is bound to these… pest's for their every beck and call. Yet you didn't come when they did. Obvious answers are not really the most fun."

I shrug and cross my arms. "Why exactly do you care if I'm Claude or not?"

"I don't care if you are Claude, I care if you killed him." Was his reply. "So then, did you?"

"Why do you care?" In one instant Vergil was glaring at me, the next second he was standing in front of me with the tip of his sword pointed at my throat.

"Answer me." Vergil growled, I smiled in return and cocked War while pushing the blades into his vest. His glare showed his opinion of my weapon and where it was located. "Did you kill that useless excuse for a demon?"

"My oh my. It seems we now have the reason for why you want Claude." I said smirking, I leaned into the blade of his sword and glared at him. "You don't like other demons that much do you? Or is the thought of one being weak enough to be enslaved by a human infuriates you so much you have to kill it? Are you the only tru-" I had to sidestep the kick Vergil directed at my chest and then jump up to a very high height to avoid his subsequent slash. I fired a few times at him, but he did some weird twirl with his sword and reddish black bullets dropped down to the floor. I whistled and reached up to grab Luna. "Impressive, gotta learn that trick."

"You talk as much as Dante." Vergil quipped as he appeared behind me and slashed at me as I stepped forward and attempted at rolling forward. What I ended up for my troubles was a slight moist feeling and then a whole lotta pain.

"Shit, this hurts a lot worse than those fucking spikes." I whined through gritted teeth. I turned to face Vergil and strained to stand up straight. I flicked my wrist out and muttered the secret word and envisioned the cavalry sword in my hand.

Vergil's brows arched slightly. "Interesting weapon, but do you have the experience to even wield a sword like that?" he asks bemused.

I crouched down and smiled viciously. "Nope." I sprung forward faster than I ever would've thought possible, I really need to get used to the whole increased everything physiological aspect. Bringing up Luna, Vergil simply parried the blow and caught the kick I attempted with ease. "Eclipse." I whispered and thought of a whip and simply snapped my wrist. Luna coiled around Vergil's ankle and I pulled. He let go of my hand to catch himself and flip backwards, but I spun around and threw him into the wall. Problem with that move was that Luna didn't uncoil from its position around his ankle, and I got pulled along with him. "Eclipse!" I yelled out and came to a stumbling stop. I looked down and found the battle axe to be in my hands once again.

"Your inexperience truly does show itself." Vergil remarks, I turn in a circle and attempt to cut him, only for him to catch the head of the axe with the flat of his blade. He smirks and hits me in the head with his scarab. Not sure if my eyeballs did a 360, or resembled the inside of an eight ball. But fuck that hurt! I turned in the direction of the spinning room and started backpedaling away from Vergil, only to wind up on the floor. "Honestly, how new to this are you?" he asks mockingly.

"If I say that I'm seeing tweety bird line dancing with Jerry the mouse around my head, would that answer your question?" I retorted as I stood up, and then threw up. "Fuckurgh" I said as the acidic burn bites into my throat. "Guh, man that sucks." I say as I slowly stand up again.

"I'm sure." He replied with a sadistic smile. Vergil then waves his hand and then six floating faint blue swords are floating around his head. "This is going to be much worse though." I put Luna up to my glasses and reach over and pull out Cero as two of the swords fly at me. I dodge one and pull the trigger of Cero as the other comes flying at my face. Right as it started to become blurry from being so close to my glasses, a shining ball came down upon it and reduced it into fragments of solid demonic energy.

"That was close." I remark as I uncross my eyes. When my vision refocused again, I saw Vergil attempted to cut the ball of light. He only managed to deflect it slightly as it kept on attempting to hit him repeatedly. "Is this considered cheating?" I wonder aloud as I take a moment to catch my breath. Another blue sword flies out of the swirling mass that is Vergil's rapid cutting at the air, and it headed straight towards me.

I shot it down with War and smirked. "I'll take that as a yes." The ball of light died down and Vergil turned to glare at me.

"Highly unlikely you will ever develop sound hand to hand combat skills with your reliance on cheap tricks such as that." He remarked darkly. I smirk and cock the hammer on Cero and start to stalk towards him.

"Maybe, but I'll play the inexperience card coupled with 'new age' thinking process." I got up close and personal with him before I smiled snidely. He glared at me in return and I heard the slightest movement of his hand griping the handle of his sword.

I pulled the trigger and ducked down as he lunged forward. The loud roaring boom overshadowed the shallow noise that reminded me of a whip cracking mixed with hitting a metal drum. When the weird noise died, I got thrown forward and felt the air itself ripple. "Well that is… interesting." Vergil remarked dowerly. I got up and hissed at the pain I felt crawl up my back, but I sucked it up and turned around to see two separate balls of light spinning around on the floor.

"Interesting is one way of saying it." I remarked in a tense voice. I glared at the two orbs and snapped my fingers, each half then rose up from the ground and came to a halt a foot off the ground. I snapped my fingers again and they dropped to the ground. "Now I know how Byakuya feels." I grumbled under my breath.

Vergil didn't say anything, and for a second there was no noise at all, and then I heard a thump and clacking noise. I saw Vergil before me with his sword in hand, a hint of blood on the edge. A sudden feeling of loss hit me as I started to feel something go down my side. "You really should pay attention to your opponents more." He said smugly with a disturbing smile. "Lest you lose your limbs." I gasped as a sudden tidal wave of pain brought me to my knees. Gasping, I looked down and saw my left arm lying on the floor, Cero clutched in my fingers with a death grip. Vergil made a noise akin to a chuckle as he slowly turned his sword in hand. "Kneeling won't help you." He said, and then he thrust the base of the hilt of his sword into my chest with enough force to knock me back.

Rose flew off my face as I coughed up blood and kept flying through the air. I hit a wall and my world spun, when I fell forward I felt something get pushed into me and I gaped at the pain. "Josslyn." Vergil said, my eyes went wide as the blackness started to creep in around the edge of my vision. I saw a blurry blue coat and pale skin, but I couldn't tell any definite features. He sighed and stepped further forward. The pain intensified and I gasped and attempted to bend over. I saw a sliver of metal sticking out, no into my chest, a dark viscous liquid trailing down it. I felt something touch my face and then my head started to rise by itself. "Well, I guess this is mildly anticlimactic." Vergil said as he lifted up my head to where we could see each other eye to eye. "Honestly though, I figured you would have stayed out this fray." He continued as I felt his thumb move underneath my eye as he tilted his head. "Then again, your existence is something of a surprise."

I tried to breath in air, but only ended up choking on blood. "Don't be so dramatic." Vergil scolded as he tightened his grip on my chin. "It will take more than this to kill you, and I intend to bring you back alive if it will-" he didn't get to finish his sentence as a large spiked mace suddenly appeared beside his head and sent him flying.

-Dee's P.O.V-

"Lest you lose your limbs." Was what I heard right before the pain hit me. I held back every noise that wanted to come from my mouth. DAMN IT JOSS! I cursed mentally as I clutched my left arm. I didn't lose the arm like he did, but I sure as fuck felt the pain. Twice the pain for his damage, twice the damage for my pain. I stayed down on the ground to catch my breath and bite back the pain when I heard Vergil say "Kneeling won't help you." Followed by an impact upon my chest that drove out the air I had gathered and rushed in a new stream pain.

I felt the impact of Joss hitting the wall, and then the sword that Vergil ran through him. I gripped my hands tightly and finally felt a slight relief to the pain. I breathed in air in earnest and shakily got up to my feet. Zeus has a short amount of time to keep oneself concealed from all forms of detection, and that limit is about to come up. I found the entrance into the room where Joss and Vergil are and found blood, carnage and broken just about everything scattered everywhere. To one side of the room I saw Vergil standing in front of Joss, his sword impaling him by his stomach into the wall and his hand on his chin. I felt a flare of anger and searched quickly for Rose and Cero. I found them by each other, around what remained of a table and quickly sprinted for it. My footsteps made no sound that I could here, the only thing so loud was the blood in my eardrums and my breath coming out raggedly.

I picked up Rose and put them on over my face and grabbed ahold of Cero's barrel, Joss's arm still attached to it by a death grip, I then placed the crook of the severed arm behind my neck.. Though now it looked like Joss's arm instead of Claude's, once Rose comes off, so does the disguise.

"Josslyn." I heard Vergil speak, I turned and watched in anger as Vergil seemed to mock him. I reached up to the side of Rose and out came Luna. Muttering the word, it started to reform in my hand. A sphere half the size of a basketball came forth from the end of a thin rod, followed by the protrusion of metal spikes two inches long. I crept up behind Vergil as he continued belittling Joss, all the while raising up Luna with both arms. The pain seemed to dull as I got closer, and then I swung. There wasn't a cracking noise, only a feeling of hitting a surface alike to water. Harsh resistance and a wet sound. Vergil went flying to my left and left his sword behind in Joss's chest. I grasped the handle and quickly pulled out the blade, ignoring the searing pain I started to feel. Joss fell forward onto me and knocked his arm off the back of my neck.

I turned and threw the sword at Vergil, only for it to fall short a few feet away from his nonmoving body. Joss groaned as I leaned down to pick up his arm, and then someone fired a gun. I froze and slowly turned around to find Dante, dressed in a red trench coat and pointed a pistol at us.

"You know, I'm a little surprised the kid knows this trick." He remarked as he stepped closer, his eyes wearily gazing at his brother and then to Joss. "Gotta question for ya though, how the hell are you still around?"

I smiled darkly at him and opened up a small opening into the Midnight World behind us. "That's for us to know," I quickly stepped back into the portal, leaning into it so that Joss went in first. "and you to never find out asshole!" I cried as I pulled the trigger on Cero right as I fell into the Midnight World and sealed it.
