After being invited to stay with heroes of their own age group, Korra and Artemis were happy to take their first tour of the headquarters Batman spoke so highly of, apparently hidden within a Mountain. The innards being hollowed out and reinforced with steel bearings across the room, they held bags of their belongings and were guided through a corridor leading to a large atrium. This vast living area included a running water system trickling across bricks into a small, clear pond, and all the amenities a person could ask for. The air smelled fresh being up in the mountains, even through all of this advanced technology she could feel nature surging beautifully outside.
While the two heroines were flabbergasted and stunned by nearly everything they saw, Batman was a silent tour guide, leading them into the center of a circular ring which illuminated with neon blue light activating holographic projections, "We have other members of this team but, they're currently unavailable… for now, we would like to test both of your abilities," faces of other teenagers were on the screen for a brief moment but, quickly flipped to a detailed account of every ability Korra had used so far.
"You've been taking notes, smart-guy," Korra smirked, unoffended unlike many other heroes and friends surveilled by the bat.
Black Canary who had been following behind to ensure the brooding vigilante didn't push the girls too hard, "The testing can wait until after a few hours when you shower and get yourselves situated."
The Bat grumbled and turned away, facing other holo-screens which were still blowing Korra's mind as he manipulated it with just gestures in the air, "Crazy… Verrick never would have dreamed," she muttered turning around with Artemis by her side, now led solely by the blonde Canary, her heels clacking on the tile floor as they marched in silence.
"Do you fight in those?" Korra asked suddenly.
Dinah glanced down at her heels, giving the Avatar a smile, "Not these specifically but, yes I do."
"How? The balance has to be all off and-" she was interrupted by Artemis nudging her arm, for fear of being rude or annoying.
Canary stopped in front of one of the sliding silver doors identical to the half-dozen they'd just passed, "Nine years of practice is all the balance I need," she gave a wink towards the Avatar, opening the door with a gesture of her hand it slid open to reveal a one-person bedroom with a flatscreen television far more advanced than the box-tv sitting in Artemis' apartment, a large bathroom including a shower, and a king-sized bed.
"We only have one free room prepared for a guest, I imagine you two wouldn't mind sharing for the time being," Black Canary was being as obvious as she possibly could, forcing both women to grow rosy-red cheeks at the same time, glancing in opposite directions, "I'll be back to check on you two in about three hours, shower, rest, settle in; remember, there's no pressure," she stepped out and the door slid closed behind her leaving both women alone once again.
"This must be what you always dreamed of, huh?" Korra inquired with a smile, watching Artemis' gleaming expression of joy, she didn't really need to ask to know the answer.
"Hell yea!"
…
Batman intercepted Black Canary as she reentered the living area, grabbing her by the arm gently, "She's nineteen, Artemis isn't of age, that doesn't bother you?" he suggested without turning to look at her.
"Not really, it's barely a two-year difference, but let's pretend we're using your logic, who better to keep an eye on and control over a powerful possible demi-goddess?" Canary made some fair points the Bat hadn't considered yet.
"We'll see just how much control she has over her powers, that'll prove to me she can handle the team," he released his light grip on her arm as she continued to pass him but, Canary stopped and spoke without turning around.
"In four months, Artemis will be Eighteen and capable of making her own decisions, what would be the point in trying to interrupt whatever it is they have going on now?"
"We have laws-"
She turned to face him this time, "Laws that we broke every night we hopped roof tops and kicked the crap out of bad-guys, or at least that's how it started. The League protects us now but it doesn't protect them. So, what's the harm in protecting them too?"
Batman lowered his head, his silence giving her the answer she expected, she walked away from the scene giving the genius-billionaire more to think about. He had about three hours to decide on his feelings.
…
Korra placed her bag which she'd gotten from Artemis, being a little light since she owned practically nothing, it was nice to hear that one of the League members was willing to pay for a shopping spree of some sort in the next week. She unzipped the bag and was faced with her water-tribe sleeveless shirt folded neatly staring back at her, it didn't make her question her decision at all. What happened was a spiritual phenomenon that brought her here which she wasn't sure would or could ever be recreated, all it did was bring back some fond memories of her last weeks back in Republic City after her three-year venture around her world.
Artemis stood in the middle of the room with two gym-bags filled with her belongings in them, dropping them down at her sides; Korra was the first to speak up, "You think she knew about us when she put is in the same room?"
The archer still stared off into the middle of the room, quickly turning to face Korra with an intimate expression, even though she wasn't doing anything sensual, Korra ended up blushing anyways, "W-What?"
Artemis crossed the room with a few steps and grabbed the Avatar on either side of her face, pressing her lips against hers. At first it felt like she'd mashed her face against her own but, as Artemis adjusted their lips, even the most powerful woman in the world would want to fall weak in the knees. Gently biting down on Korra's lower lip and tugging slightly before pulling away, their eyes fluttering open afterward, "Thank you," Artemis expressed with her words this time.
"F-For what?" Korra adjusted, recollecting her composure.
Artemis chuckled whole-heartedly, "How do I even begin? Saving me from an overdose? Saving me from assassins? Taking me on the sweetest date ever and then saving me from more assassins? Does any of that ring any bells?" the blonde backed away with her hands tucked behind her back innocently, "The way you followed my lead here even though you don't know what's waiting for you out there?"
"Why? What do you think they're gonna do to me?"
Another lighthearted chuckle, "I meant emotionally, although Batman seems like the type to avoid if you can help it."
"I owe him, he gave me back my memories."
"So you told me, still not sure how chakras or chi works but, I'm just glad it made you whole again," Artemis backed away, there was a bathroom in their small apartment and she backed towards it until the silver-metallic door slid open for her, "As cute as amnesiac Korra was, I prefer the real deal; I'm gonna take a shower, why don't you get some rest before we go audition for this gig," she joked, knowing it was only supposed to be a demonstration of their abilities.
Korra watched the flustered archer back in through the door, maintaining joyful eye contact, doughy brown meeting ocean blue, until the automatic door slid shut in front of them. "Get some rest she says," turning around to a full-sized bed, one size smaller than a queen but, she hadn't slept in anything bigger than a twin mattress since she got here so she plopped backwards into comforting sheets. As she slowly drifted off into the void of sleep, her eyes shut and she quickly fell into a dream, or possibly a nightmare.
Korra found herself at a temple on a small island, very small, to the point that the temple itself and the steps leading up to it were the only things that could fit; at the base of this temple sat an unfamiliar man with a grey beard and mustache, long green robes with golden trim, and men in robes all around him.
It faded in and out, bits and pieces, she saw what appeared to be Jade, the assassin known as Cheshire and Artemis' sister in the nude lying in front of the man and at the center of the circle of robed men. They were chanting something in another language, a language lost to time but a distant dialect of Arabic possibly; in the nightmare a familiar feeling sent a chill down her spine as she watched a horror scene. From the bearded man's mouth, dark energy tentacles that also appeared familiar, dug, and pulled its way out of his body; half the men began dragging the host away shouting something about Lazarus. The spirit that escaped from him was impossible, it couldn't be, a darkness like no other in this Universe in the shape of a long metaphysical spirit with glowing crimson marks across the blackness of his physical form. Though he was much smaller than she last remembered.
Korra was just a spectator, she had no idea what to make of this nightmare but, she was certain that the spirit removed from that man had to be Vatuu; before she could consider it impossible or not, the spirit invaded Jade's body with no resistance merging with her essence. In a flash of crimson light a demonic voice erupted into Korra's mind like a megaphone in either eardrum, "I'm coming for you Ravaa!"

Happy Harbor; Road Island; July 14th; 2:08PM
Korra's eyes snapped open already in the Avatar State, "I will not allow you to disturb the balance once more!" with the glowing eyes of heavenly providence, she stood quickly into an expert fighting stance, ready with a massive orb of flames floating inches from her fist aimed directly at Artemis closest to her bed and already dressed along with Canary, and Green Arrow standing in the doorway.
Korra assessed her surroundings and exhaled, letting the power of the light-spirit subside as her eyes returned to normal, the flame dispersed simultaneously when she released her tense fist as Canary further stepped into the room, "Nightmare?" she asked.
"Y-Yea, still adjusting to this world, like you said," it wasn't just that Dinah Lance was an expert psychologist who could read the toughest criminals like a book but, Korra made it excessively obvious that there was more going on than she was letting on.
Artemis took Korra by the hand and sat her back on the edge of the bed, "Are you okay?" they watched the two love-birds try to work things out, gathering whatever they could about this relationship.
"I'm fine, it was just a weird nightmare," as she glanced around at the staring eyes expecting an explanation, "I-I was poisoned a few years ago, a lethal poison that would kill the reincarnation of my spirit that allows me to be the Avatar, forever… I almost had the oxygen sucked out of my lungs and ended up crippled for a long time," though this didn't satisfy the Canary, she wasn't going to question the obvious lie as to what her nightmare was about, from her expert opinion what she described did happen but, this nightmare was something else that she was holding back.
Green Arrow interrupted the tense silence that followed that baggage drop with what they came to tell the girls, it had already been those three hours and they were waiting on Korra to show them what she was capable of, "Bats is in the holoring, the big light-up circle from before, he's got your little introduction all set up."
"Right," Korra muttered, shaking what had to be a paranoid nightmare from her mind and continuing to stand, letting go of Artemis' hand to cross the room silently, "Show him what I'm made of."
…
Batman stood exactly in the center of the holoring, looking at a holographic projection before dispersing on sight with Korra approaching, "Let's do this," she cracked her knuckles.
"I've seen some of what you can do but, I think it's best we get a demonstration," Batman deadpanned, "Show us what you can do," he exited the holoring and kept his distance from its borders by over twenty-feet along with the others.
"Alright," she began with a simple jab of fire, speperating that fire mid-blast into two separate torrents that never breached the rings borders. Followed immediately by a spin kick bending the air in a different direction with nigh-hurricane level strength, subsequently turning, and motioning her arms in a more fluid stance, drawing a stream of water from the nearby creek, and guiding it around her in a defensive circle, using more martial stances to harden that defense into a frozen set of sharpened projectiles. With a spin and a forceful outstretch of her arms the shards flew outwards in all directions, nearly hitting Canary, Arrow, and Batman between the eyes before they stopped midair and fell apart back into liquid water forming puddles of ice water at their feet. Korra exhaled once more, turning back to the heroes to see their reaction.
The only one who hadn't flinched in the slightest was the Bat, only keeping his stoic expression the same while muttering, "Impressive," Arrow had moved to the left to avoid and already had a hand on an arrow held in the quiver strapped to his torso.
Canary flinched but, prepared to use her scream instead though, she had more faith than the archer did that she wouldn't come all this way to slaughter them. Batman took several steps into the holoring, "What about Earth?"
"I didn't wanna ruin your fancy metal holoring she said it with emphasis being it was a completely foreign word to her to begin with let alone what I could do. "Speaking of metal," Korra thrusted her palms back, sliding her foot across the holoring to feel out the entire mountain and every miniscule ounce of Earth surrounding her, grabbing hold of the steel interior that protected the base. With a single stomp and thrust forwards with her palms clutched, the entire facility began to shake as a small screw fell loose from the reinforced ceiling.
Before it hit the ground, Batman was the only one noticing it fell until Korra grabbed hold of its properties, floating in her hand, reshaping the metal into a sharpened projectile, another dance of stances sent the projectile through the room. Korra's eyes were closed this time, feeling out the Earth within the iron-screw and the water in each of their bodies, sending it across the room, flying narrowly by each of the heroes until it stopped in front of Artemis waiting on the other end of the holoring. It reshaped with Korra's hands clutching and unclutching to form it into a small metal heart, dropping it into Artemis' open hands.
The Avatar turned and opened her eyes, bowing to the heroes as the blonde-archer held the heart close to her chest, with a confident smile; "You've passed the first test of two, you do indeed have full control over your abilities…" Batman noted.
"Damn right I-" Korra stopped and blinked, "Wait, two tests?"
Korra was approached by the most compassionate of the group, Canary put a hand on her shoulder and tilted her head, "Do you know how to use a cellphone? Do you know what the laws of this world are? Do you even know how to drive?"
"I do actually, but I'm just not very good at not hitting things while I do it," Korra admitted recalling the last time Asami left her to drive a Sato-Mobile, "But, I guess the rest of that stuff is a no."
"Get ready to study, young lady, because other than the more obvious criminal law, there's a lot more to cover if you want to join this team," Canary stated firmly, with no room for rebuttal.
Korra stole a glance at Artemis who was joyfully being guided to an archery range by her personal hero, someone she'd been following in the footsteps of for at least months, she nodded in response, "Whatever it takes," her smile as joyful as the archer in training.
"Now, have you ever actually used a computer?"
"I searched for a restaurant on goggles! And it only took half an hour for me to figure it out! That's something, right?"
Canary certainly had her work cut-out for her in this department, "We'll start with the basics then, and it's pronounced Google…" the hero led her away towards a room with more basic technology like standard computers.
"Damn it, I totally knew that one."

"I'm wiped!" Artemis announced, dropping a metallic briefcase at the door and this time taking her turn to plop backwards onto their bed, "Arrow said I need work on my aim but, that I was just as good as when he started out… nine years ago but, I'm taking it as a compliment!" she insisted.
Korra chuckled sarcastically, "You think you have it rough? After finally learning how to use a computer and Google stuff," adding emphasis so that Artemis knew she could pronounce it properly now, "Try sending an email when the only world you knew only used what Canary called an equivalent to a 'ham-radio' to communicate long-distance," Korra sighed as she sat next to Artemis on the edge of the bed, massaging her temples, "My brain feels like it's been put through a cement-mixer."
Artemis reached out and wrapped her pinky around Korra's lying flat on the bed next to her, "Hey, are you you're alright? I've never seen you wake up from a nightmare that… angry, and you never told me about the poison."
"I spent nineteen years in a different Universe, if I had to explain every hardship I've been through, we'd be here all night," Korra said wrapping the rest of her hand around the blonde's, intertwining their fingers, "I'll tell you everything, just not all at once, okay?"
Artemis nodded with a smile, feeling the most trustful vibe she'd ever gotten from a person, her feelings for each other aside, she could tell Korra just wasn't ready, "I know I haven't exactly proven to be patient but, I can wait for this."
Korra sighed, finding it hard to find the right words, "Arty, Canary explained some things to me about relationships in this world," this statement prompted her to sit up straight to listen, "I know we've both seen each other… bare, and I know that in my world it wasn't the biggest deal but, I realize here I might have crossed a line too soon."
"A-Are you ending things… are you breaking up with me?" Artemis nearly shed a tear before her nightmare was ended quickly, Korra grabbed her hands and looked her in the eyes, "No, definitely not, what we have is special I just think… we should take it slower than we have been so far."
"Oh," Artemis said, perking up a bit, "Well, I did just brag about patience so, I guess taking things slowly isn't a horrible idea."
"I'm so glad you think so," Korra reached out and embraced Artemis with a compassionate smile, her arms wrapping around and meeting on her back to pull her in close with her chin placed firmly on the archer's shoulder.
After Korra pulled away there were several minutes of silence before Artemis noticed the large flat-screen television mounted to the wall, "Why don't we just… check out this new tv and maybe, cuddle?"
"Artemis Crock, you read my mind," having showered while Artemis was finishing her archery practice, she was ready to drop back into bed. Reaching below the hem-line of her blouse, she pulled it up revealing a white tank-top and pajama-bottoms that were barely her size, made for someone much thinner than herself. It was the best she could manage on day one without more than two outfits: neither being exactly comfortable for cuddling.
Artemis kept emerald-green pajama pants on while stripping into the same white tank top only, this one was one she'd brought from home, "Are you sure you don't wanna borrow some clothes?" she offered.
Korra chuckled nervously, "No, really, it's no big deal…"
Artemis grabbed the remote and switched on the television where a colorful cartoon played as the first channel she saw when it powered on, "Woah, maybe size really does matter?" they tucked themselves into the smooth comforter prepared to watch.
The Avatar was mesmerized as the channels flipped from news broadcasts to sitcoms to monster movies; as she flipped through the channels, Korra laid her head sideways onto Artemis' shoulder, her arm wrapping gently around the free arm not holding the remote. Such a powerful woman, such strength and resolve, and she was lying comfortably… gently on her shoulder, brushing their arms together and then skin to skin contact felt amazing, like fireworks were exploding in her stomach. Such a powerful woman, scared, alone, and all she needed was just a bit of love and understanding, beneath the demi-goddess was a human woman and Artemis was proud of herself for reaching her before those men could. She'd never been so sure she'd made the right call in her entire life.
…
Happy Harbor; Road Island; July 15th; 8:00AM
Korra was glad the next morning that Paula had cleaned and pressed her original outfit which she arrived in this Universe in, wearing a light-blue sleeveless top with white trim, elbow length navy-blue fingerless gloves, and new tighter, more flexible pants coupled with dark-blue combat boots. "Are you sure you have to wear all of that?" she asked as she turned around to face her roommate.
Artemis turned around now fully donned in her new outfit, obviously being in the briefcase she'd brought in last night, "Yes! This is what Green Arrow told me to be wearing when we met the team", Korra's eyes glided slowly over her costume, which was a midriff-baring kevlar-lined suit that highlighted her build. It was colored in various shades of green and consisted of a mask extending from the hairline to the cheekbones, a sleeveless top with a stylized arrow tip styled on the front, fingerless gloves, pants with black knee pads, and black combat boots. "What? You don't like it?" she asked as she turned from one side to the other trying to check herself out.
Korra shook her head, trying to keep her eyes from sinking to her exposed midriff, "N-No, you look amazing, Arty, it just seems like a lot," when the archer caught the bender's gaze and flushed cheeks, she became more confident, strutting across the room.
Korra allowed her to wrap her thin yet firm arms to wrap around her neck, looking up an inch or two into her sky-blue eyes, "Well, let's go show everyone how amazing we look, shall we?" she tilted her head in the cutest way that caused her long pony-tail to sway in the motion.
"Right, I hope they like me," Korra was still a little nervous about meeting a team of heroes similar to themselves in ability and motive, not that she was insecure in the slightest.
Artemis giggled only a bit, gently slapping Korra's right cheek still a bit flushed with red, "They'll love you, promise," letting go of her hold around her neck, she grabbed the bender's hand and guided her towards the metallic door before stopping short, "And don't call me Arty in front of them," she insisted with a finger in her face. This time it was Artemis who had cheeks as red as tomatoes prompting Korra to throw her hands up in mock-surrender.
"I won't, promise," the two girls giggled their way out of their room as the door slid-shut behind them, it was only a short walk to the holoring though their light laughter echoed through the corridor and into the main-hall.
As they approached, the laughter quickly died down, both of them clearing their throats as five other teenaged members stood in a straight line with Green Arrow, Batman, Black Canary, and a strange crimson robot of some-sort with yellow trim along with a blue cape.
"Team, these will be your two new members; Korra and Artemis," before Batman could finish, the boy clad in yellow-red friction proof armor dashed across the ring to stand at the Avatar's side, leaning his arm on her shoulder.
"Hey there, hot-stuff, they call me Kid Flash," he confidently slicked back his ginger-red hair, huffing onto his knuckles, and shinning them on the lightning emblem attached to the center of his torso.
Artemis wasn't the type to get jealous but, it was very entertaining to watch as the boy of speed fell face first when Korra yanked her arm back, "So, you're like that guy on the news in all red that runs fast only… shorter?"
"Excuse his manners, like this team, he's very inexperienced on professionalism," the android spoke up in a monotone voice, causing Korra to raise a brow.
"Uhh," she responded slowly.
"Speaking of professionalism, we forgot to introduce you to the League member that will be mostly in charge of supervising this team; a sentient android that goes by Red Tornado," Batman explained leaving Korra to nod slowly in understanding.
"Yea… okay, and the rest of you are…?" she asked.
"Hi!" the young woman even that seemed even younger than Artemis or Kid Flash was the first to speak up in a high-pitched peppy voice, "My name is M'gaan but, on the field I'm Miss Martian."
"Wait, do we get code names? Is that like a part of the team thing?" Korra turned her gaze back and forth between Artemis and the rest of the group standing in front of them.
"Is this girl new or something?" the muscular, black-shirted boy folded his arms after asking the question towards Batman.
Korra scowled with a retort planned out already in her head but, Batman defended her, sort of, "You're all new, especially you." He pointed out to the boy before continuing to explain the situation to everyone present, "Korra came from an alternate Universe where there was no Justice League, it may be an adjusting period."
Green Arrow spoke up for the first time, "As for hero names, we figured since this team is covert, you can choose to just use first names if you prefer."
"Well, obviously I'm Artemis and this is Korra, she's the Avatar… oh, should that be your codename?" turning quickly to get the older girls opinion.
"I dunno, it's always been a title for me; I guess you can call me either if you guys want."
A boy about Artemis' age, perhaps slightly older, stepped forwards; his tattoos that ran down his arms from his sleeveless crimson body armor reminded her of airbending master tattoos but, the visual similarities stopped there. His skin tone was slightly darker than her own which made his blonde-hair stick out to her eyes even more, "I am Kaldur'ahm but, you may call me Kaldur," gesturing his hand outwards for a typical handshake.
Korra smiled, finally someone she could fully understand, "Nice to meet you, do you have a codename too?"
He nodded with a smile as their hands parted, he gestured to himself first before motioning to the others, "I go by Aqualad, he is Superboy, the quiet one standing beside Batman is known as Robin, and I believe you've already been… introduced to Kid Flash and Miss Martian," he emphasized the Kid's lack of manners and her over enthusiastic approach.
"That is so cool!" she cleared her throat after being nudged slightly by Artemis still standing by her side, "I mean, it's nice to meet you, all of you."
Kid Flash, who had gotten up during their conversation, took a few steps back with his eyes closed, "Wait, hold up, what's an Avatar? Isn't that the movie with those blue people on that one planet?" he joked nonchalantly but, nobody really laughed also intrigued with the question.
"How can I put it in words?" she placed her hand on her chin, trying to think of a good way to explain it, "It's like being the de facto most powerful person on the planet who can bend all four elements," they all blinked in confusion, still not quite understanding.
M'gaan spoke up first, "Elements like on the periodic table or like…?"
Korra raised her brow, speaking out of the side of her mouth to Artemis, "What the hell is a periodic table?"
"Just show them," she whispered back through the side of her own mouth in the same way, spite the others hearing every word they said.
Korra closed her eyes for only a brief moment, when she slowly reopened them they were ignited with bright angelic white light as a tornado of air blew passed them as it collected beneath her feet lifting her off the ground in seconds, water from the kitchen just around the corner slithered out in a long trail to surround her in the air along with a blast of fire from her palms which also wrapped around her at arm's length, rocks from the inner-mountain were pulled off the wall to slowly follow the other three elements in surrounding her, "This is the Avatar," Korra's voice now boomed loudly, echoing through the cave with the voices of hundreds of other lives she'd reincarnated from.
"Astonishing, and I believed my water-bearer's were impressive," Kaldur spoke still looking up at her as the air in the room began to pick up, blowing back Robin, Batman, and Red Tornado's capes but, they themselves didn't move an inch.
Artemis stared up proudly at her friend, or more-than-friend, or whatever they were so far, her smile and the crimson in her cheeks told the entire team just what team she really played for. Though only those who weren't enamored by the goddess' powers noticed this like Robin, Batman, Canary, and Red Tornado; Korra slowly lowered herself back down as the fire dispersed, the water and rocks dropping to the ground around her, she landed exactly where she was initially standing.
Green Arrow blinked a few times before clearing his throat, reattaining everyone's attention, "And Artemis is one of the best archers I've seen in the city in years."
"Archer?" Kid Flash shouted the question almost in offense, "So, we're replacing Roy now? Why would we do that-" he was cut off by the elder hero.
Arrow rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "Speedy has decided to go solo, and it's been getting… difficult out there by myself so yes, she'll be the teams archer," he tried his best not to put too much emphasis on how he was in desperate need of a partner after his falling out with his first sidekick.
The speedster scoffed and looked back at the blonde, with a coy smile on her face now, "Y-Yea but you can't just-" being interrupted once again, this time by Batman who nobody in the room was brave enough to challenge.
"The decision has been made," if not because of Arrow's report on her abilities, or their surveillance on her in action, than because he needed someone Korra trusts on both sides.
He turned and scowled at Artemis with a furrowed brow, prompting her to respond in the only way she knew how, "Sorry, Kid Flash, I'm here to stay," with a witty retort and all the attitude she could muster.
The speedster practically pouted but, remained silent anyways, "We're happy to have you both on the team," Robin emphasized by stepping forwards with his hand out to shake theirs as the rest of the team followed his example, aside from the one they called Superboy who simply walked away towards the entertainment area just out of sight where the kitchen also was.
Korra shook hands and mingled but couldn't shake this feeling of darkness and unsettling malice somewhere in the world, growing in power but, could it have something to do with her nightmare from earlier? In this new world she couldn't be sure of anything other than what was right in front of her, a team of heroes around her age all willing to help the planet for the sake of the greater good. She could easily see herself getting on board with that.

Infinity Island; July 15th; 11:25PM
At the center of four stone pillars was concrete space enough for just a single person to sit, used for long-term meditation, the one normally sitting in it would be the Demon's Head and leader of the League of Assassins, however; things had changed now a woman garbed in emerald, green robes with golden trim and ancient designs across it sat in his place.
There were two lines of at least two dozen men and women in all black armor with swords at their sides, kneeling before the alter she sat on, two men approached through the line of bowing warriors. As they passed, each set of two stood simultaneously in perfect unison until the men reached the alter itself, "So, Ra's chose you to be the next host?" a bulky blonde-haired man in a hockey mask and kevlar body armor asked with his hands on his hips.
Her eyes opened, Sportsmaster wasn't surprised or angry that someone like Ra's Al Ghul chose his own daughter as a host for a dark spirit from another Universe, instead he was envious of it as he felt he should have been chosen, "He did."
The man beside him was wearing similarly effective body armor only in black and orange with a mask covering his entire face, all but one eye, which was all the super-soldier needed to slaughter entire armies, he remained silent and folded his arms. Sportsmaster continued, "Sounds like Ra's was going senile in his old age, why the hell should some new-girl trash get to be sitting there?" knowing full well he was talking about his own daughter, Jade still didn't open her eyes.
"You sound jealous," was all she said, aggravating him further.
"I'm twice the fighter, twice the assassin, and twice the tracker you'll ever be little girl," he grabbed a cylindrical object from his belt and quickly allowed it to spring out almost instantly into a sharpened javelin aimed at her neck, "But, I'm not jealous of nobody, hear me, girl?" as soon as his weapon was deployed, Deathstroke standing to her right stationary watched the twenty or more fighters they passed pull out their swords at the ready, also in perfect unison.
They all stopped on her command, a simple gesture of her hand up prompted them all to stand down and sheath their swords, leaving Sportsmaster with his sharpened spear inches from her throat. "This host has many memories of your verbal and physical abuse, Sportsmaster, you are fortunate that I've only held one grudge in my eons of existence, however," her eyes finally opened this time engulfing her entire sclera in a deep-crimson energy, grabbing hold of the weapon with such speed Sportsmaster couldn't counter and Deathstroke barely saw the movement, "Do not delude yourself into thinking you are worthy to question which host I should or should not take," her voice became much deeper suddenly as though it was overshadowed by someone else, a singular entity growling over Jade's voice. She effortlessly yanked the javelin from his arms, against his grip, causing him to accidently trip backwards several steps; inspecting the weapon, she looked up at Deathstroke who was eerily silent, watching the encounter with patience. "Ensure yours, as well as all of my partners in the Light's, primary weapons are made from pure platinum from this day forth," she dropped the spear at Sportsmaster's feet almost completely disinterested.
Deathstroke nodded in response, "I'll get the word out," he responded in a deep growling Australian-accent, turning around to walk back down the alter.
"Once I have my proper host, I will rain down ten-thousand years of darkness over this world and spread it outwards into the cosmos until the Universe is nothing but chaos!"
