"Ouch. Alice!" he rubbed the spot where his sister had hit him. "I didn't exactly use the word "love" okay? I might have said something like: I'm falling for my best friend."
"Oh. Like that's better?" She responded sarcastically. "I want to hear how she wiped the floor with your face after you blurted that out, pretty boy. Now, let me hear it."
"She didn't…" He stopped when Alice lifted the bitch brow. "…She was shocked for a few seconds. Or minutes. She looked me in the eye, not blinking and you know…"
"You dazzled her with another kiss?"
"No."
"She punched you?"
"No."
"Oh My God! You had sex in Mike's room?"
"Ugh. Alice. No. Are you gonna let me talk, or what?"
"Fine. But you gotta stop asking me if I know what comes next, because I have no freaking idea and my brain starts picturing all this different scenarios that I just have to say out loud." Alice shrugged and made a show of keeping her mouth shut so her brother could continue with his story.
