Although we're not supposed to let people other than our siblings sit at our table with us, Chiron allowed Eragon to sit at the Poseidon table with me to explain more about the Dragons. It confused Eragon when I carried my plate to the fire in order to sacrifice a portion of it to the gods, but he didn't complain; although, he didn't take up an offering himself. Throughout the meal, I fed little scraps of meat to Gülia, and she snapped them up happily.

After lunch, we returned to the arena for my own sword training with the Athena cabin. I never could beat any of the Athena kids at swordplay, but my partner must have been tired or something because I beat him all three times we crossed blades.

"You've improved," Malcolm commented making me blush slightly. "You must have been practicing with Annabeth in your spare time."

I smiled at Annabeth's brother, "Yeah, she's been giving me a few pointers. I guess my extra practice has been worthwhile."

Malcolm nodded, "I guess I'll just have to work harder to beat you."

As Malcolm and I talked, Gülia decided to come over to me, and I introduced her to Malcolm.

"She's beautiful," Malcolm commented.

"If you think she's beautiful, you should see her mother. She's magnificent."

"I'd like to see her."

I directed Malcolm's attention to Saphira who watched us closely, "That's Saphira, and beside her is her rider, Eragon."

Malcolm's jaw dropped as he gazed upon the giant blue dragon, "That's Gülia's mother!?"

I nodded, "Would you like to meet her?"

Malcolm nodded, and I led him to the spot where Eragon and Saphira stood, "Eragon, Saphira, I would like you to meet a friend of mine, Malcolm. Malcolm, meet Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Bjartskular."

'It is a pleasure to meet you, hatchling,' Saphira projected to both Malcolm and I.

"Was that...?"

"Yes, Malcolm, that was Saphira," Eragon replied. "It is a pleasure to meet you friend."

Eragon held out his hand, and Malcolm took it readily.

"I've never seen dragons quite like Saphira and Gülia before. Where do you guys come from?" Malcolm asked.

'Where we come from is far from here,' Saphira replied, then just to Eragon and I, 'Could this one be a worthy rider?'

'Perhaps,' Eragon replied and pulled out a pair of eggs from Saphira's saddlebags. He smiled at Malcolm and asked him, "Would you like to see if you are meant to be a rider as well?"

Malcolm looked to me questioningly, and I nodded encouragement. Accepting my nod, Malcolm reached out, and Eragon handed him the first of the two eggs, a blue one, but it didn't even squirm. The second egg was another green egg, and when it came into contact with Malcolm's skin, it began to rock and squeal. Everyone in the arena turned to watch the egg unsure what was going on. A few of the Athena kids began to come nearer, but I waved my hands in a way that told them to stay back. The egg took less time to hatch than Gülia's did.

Malcolm's dragon was magnificent. He was a deep Emerald color with white markings on each foot and at the tip of his nose. Since Malcolm was holding the egg when it burst, he was instantly in contact with his dragon, and he passed out. I quickley cought Malcolm before he hit the ground, and I summoned some water to splash him awake.

"What happened?" Malcolm asked as he came to.

"You're a rider," I smiled pointing to the dragon curled up on his chest. "Name him."

"Sofós. That's his name."

'Tell him his name,' I told Malcolm throug our minds.

"How?"

'Reach your mind out to him. He won't be able to speak approval, but you will feel his pleasure or displeasure at the name,' Saphira replied.

'I'll help you,' I added leading his mind to that of his dragon. 'Now, ask him if he likes the name.'

'Hi, dragon,' Malcolm began. 'Do you like the name, Sofós?'

I pulled my mind away as I felt the dragon's pleasure at his name.

No more new riders after Malcolm. His dragon is not related to Adurna's. I may have Percy attempt to get the blue egg to hatch, but he'll fail. By the way, Sofós means Wise in Greek.

I don't own any characters except Adurna, Gülia, and Sofós. The rest are owned either by Christopher Paolini or Rick Riordan depending on the character. Thanks for reading.
