My hand found one of my daggers as I felt Harmony approach. I spun around and threw it at her. For her to just catch it before it hit her.
"You've improved." She said.
"You're the only thing I've yet to hit." I said, flipping another dagger in the air.
"And you won't." She smirked, ducking out of the way of my second dagger.
"Are we done yet?" She asked.
"I guess." I put my third dagger away and pulled the second from the wall. "What brings you here?"
"Just checking up on you. Making sure you're staying under the radar."
"Don't worry about me staying out of trouble. I've got my parents doing that already."
"Can you blame them?" She asked, examining on of my daggers. "I mean, it's not exactly over."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, Crowley was only one person who wanted your magic. There are others out there. I've been tracking some down, but there are too many to count. You're going to have to stay under for a while."
"Does that mean I can't hunt anymore?" She shook her head. "You can't just expect me to give it all up. Hunting is a part of me."
"Would you rather spend the rest of your life narrowly escaping capture. They won't kill you. They'll torture you until you want to die. If you make it that long before snapping." I huffed and moved the hair from my face.
"I get what your saying. But I can't just leave it behind. Not with all those bastards still out there."
"What the hell made you so stubborn?"
"I lived my life by two rules my dad taught me. Shoot first, ask questions later, and always go down fighting. They want me, they can come get me. I may not be able to use magic, but I sure as hell can deal with those sons of bitches."
"You're losing it again." Harmony warned. "In case you don't remember. It's emotions that effect you too." My hand tightened into a fist and I let out what would have been mistaken as a growl. I took a breath and sat on my bed.
"This is already so hard." I said, relaxing my hands. "I can't lose everything because of some stupid darkness. Hunting is all I have."
"I'll find someone to help end all of this." She promised. "For now, stay away from major things. Stick with ghosts." She threw my dagger at me and I stuffed it in my bag.
"I can do that. Thank you."
"Don't get all mushy. Later." She waved and disappeared.
"Hey Kiddo." Daddy said from the doorway. "How's it going?"
"I'm good."
"Well put the knives away. Your Aunt Charlie is coming over."
"Awesome." I threw the knives into my bag and went downstairs with Daddy. Even if I was still a time bomb. Life was still okay.
