Harry was once again trying to fix his hair. Remus and Sirius talking on the other side of the small room. Well, Siruis was talking Remuse was pacing. The wedding was today and they were just fixing themselves up before they went and greet the guest. Remuse was clearly nervous and Siruis was trying to help calm him down well trying in his own way. Though every comment only seemed to concern him more.
"it going to be fine wolfy, you could honesty fall and tear your bride to dress half off and people would still AWWWW at you".
"Why would you say that?t" Remus covered his face with his hands. "oh Merline I'm going to humiliate her, why did I let you talk us into a big wedding, a simple court wedding would have been so simpler". Sirius jumped up at this
" NO! YOU BOTH DESERVE THIS EVENT!, every single person here wants to wish you happiness and be part of it. Tonks love parties she loves big events" Sirius walked over to Remuse putting his hands on his shoulders. " I know you always shy away and get scared but I also know you love big celebrations and being part of them. this building and everyone in it loves you loves her and loves that you are getting married." The two of them hugged and Harry watched the precious moment. There was a knock on the door and Ron poked his head in.
"Hermione say's you guys have to head downstairs". Sisruis clapped Remuse's arm giving it a squeeze before grabbing his own dress robe and heading for the door. Harry waited for Remuse to fix his own dress robes once more. They shared a smile before they both headed out the door.
Greeting the guest was much more exhausting than Harry thought it would be it wasn't fair they had to do this twice once before the ceremony and then after, while they welcomed them to the party then after. While the bride and the bride maids only had to do it once. So far the Weasleys had taken the longest to greet and say hello to Mrs. Weasley was already crying tears of joy and telling Remuse how happy she was for him and Tonks in between sobs that is. Fred and George were asking what they were supposed to call her now that she wasn't a Tonks anymore and they didn't really want to get hexed or beat up for calling her Nymphadora. Most of the guests kept the line moving giving simple congrats and happy wishes and telling them how handsome they were. The most awkward one was of course the Malfoys Draco Malfoy came escorting his mother apparently she had been exchanging letters with her sister for a year now. Lucius was not with them. Harry figured Draco didn't want to show up alone seeing as Hermione was part of the wedding she wouldn't be able really to be his date till the party.
The ceremony went off rather well. Remus only stuttered a bit through his vowes. His was less distracting compared to Tonks's she continuously changed her face, hair, and eyes through literally the whole thing. The speeches were a roller coaster when Sirius stood to do his best man duties. The room buzzed with excitement many loved his antics as long as they weren't directed at them. Harry as well as three others part of the wedding party were standing by with their wands ready in case he went a little too crazy. Luckily it all went great no problems at all. After all the difficult parts of the evening were over Harry felt truly relieved eating his smoked duck and roasted vegetables that is until he heard a pop.
Keeping a hand on his plate he was trying to get into a conversation with the table that he had just been poofed to. complements of Charlie, Fred, George, Sirius, and the bride. They thought it would be fun to charm a handful of the chairs so that whoever was sitting on them would randomly poof and find themselves in a different chair at a different table. They claimed it was to make sure everyone stayed entertained and engaged wanting to make sure no one fell too quiet and out of the party.
He noticed that Narcissa had gotten up from her chair with her glass pretending to look at the decorations to avoid the chance of having a charmed chair. There was a commotion a few tables down. When he stood to look with everyone else he was Ted Tonks sitting on Lee Jordon's lap. The older and larger man struggled to get up from the younger man.
"oh, well guess the charms are wearing off. Really thought we had done it right so that it would last the whole meal." Harry looked over to see George holding a chick puff . one of the many options from the dessert table. Harry smiled standing from his own chair in case someone suddenly appeared nothing happened with his chair but just behind him Mrs. Weasly popped onto a chair that her oldest was sitting in. She was as red as her hair but Bill just laughed giving her cheek a kiss and helping her up. After everyone enjoyed their desserts the tables and chairs were moved out of the way to free up the floor for dancing.
The couple's first dance together was a warming event. Tonks was a surprisingly good dancer though Remus seemed a little stiff and nervous. The smile on their faces though were the only thing that seemed to really matter. Once the first dance ended Sirius wasted no time in guiding McGonagal to the center. A spotlight on them, an honor usually reserved for the married couple but it had been one of his conditions. The music started and everyone was very surprised when Sirius jumped into the Russian polka he was good but an unexpected choice, the only thing more surprising was McGonagal didn't seem fazed in the least when the music started and in fact jumped right into it. and she was good, able to do moves that Harry never thought his professor would have been able to do. Once that show was done the floor was open for everyone else to dance. Harry had really only planned to dance with Ginny. But well once he danced with Ginny Flure said they should dance as well followed by her little sister then Mrs. Weasley then Hermione and well he had to dance with Tonks. The night went on everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating the uinion of Remus Lupin and NymphadoraTonks Lupin.
