~Reincarnated for Revenge~

"How can it be happened?" Ea asked, still shocked from Landkarte's panicked statement before. The other teen was sobbing in front of him, and looked like a children who've got a nightmare. "Y-You do know about the leech that appear in my room this morning, right?"

Ea nodded. He remembered the 'accident' well; he too had taken a look at the leech before it got burned by Relikt at backyard. "And then? Why did you suddenly freak out like that?"

Landkarte looked at him with teary yet serious eyes. "Because I think it was a reincarnation from two snails I've killed before."

A silent silence, followed with a dumbfounded look on Ea's face.

"…so the 'thing' you mentioned before is…"

"It's a snail. Or two, for more accurately."

Another silence. And then…

"…Landkarte, I think you need to go to the psychiatrist now—urgently. Do you need me for a companion?"

"I don't need both—er, I do need you for a companion, but I don't need to go to the psychiatrist!"

Ea had to restrain his laughter. Even though he usually good at it, this time, he couldn't do it properly because Landkarte's face was hilariously scared. And that was for a not-very-important thing. That's so Landkarte-ish, wasn't it? "Explain the reason why did you think like that, my pitiful comrade," Ea said, still shaking from his hard work restraining his laughter.

Landkarte, with his pouting face, then explained; "The first was when I was playing tennis with Krowell in tennis club's training camp (or fieldtrip, whatever you call it); there was a snail walking in front of me, but I didn't see it and stepped on it accidentally—it really was an accidental one!—until I had to walk barefoot from the field to the inn with Krowell in similar state with you now. And guess what? When I was on queue for taking bath, I had to wait for three hours!" He said frightfully, shivering alone while Ea was having a hard time since he didn't want to offend Landkarte with his laughter.

"That's not the end yet, you know! Yesterday, I was gardening with Profe when I realized that Profe's face became scared for something I didn't knew. She told me that she saw me stepped on a snail, and when I looked at my right shoe, it was right there! You saw me washing my shoe yesterday, didn't you?!"

/Ah. So that's why this guy washed his shoe with tears falling like a waterfall yesterday,/ Ea thought mentally, now knowing the answer he wanted to know since yesterday. He nodded silently with a faint, amused smile on his face. "And then? Why did you think that this morning's leech was a reincarnation from those snails you accidentally murdered?"

"…Zehel told me when I was discussing it with him, just a while ago."

Ea raised both his eyebrows in amused way. "So it was Zehel who made you panicked like this, am I right?"

A silent nod from the light-haired teenager, and that's enough to make Ea stood suddenly while clapping his hands. "Can you tell me where the hell that geezer now?"

Landkarte blinked confusedly. "Well… He's at the kitchen when I was talking to him… Don't know where he's now."

Ea nodded again. "That's enough, then. I know where he is now. Stay here for a while, okay?"

"O… kay?" Landkarte raised his right eyebrow when Ea strolled out from the room casually, walked toward the kitchen, and talked something to Zehel (who was still eating his pancake since a while ago). Minutes later, the light-haired teen had to cover his ears with his hands since Zehel's scream was so loud and pitiful to hear. After that scream ended, Ea returned to his seat without any guilty look on his face after he hit Zehel with a broom a while ago—and yes, Landkarte saw it. He really saw Ea in his rage mode.

And that was far more frightening than imagining a revenge from the reincarnation of two snails he murdered, by the way.

"Um, Ea?"

"Yes?"

"Why did you hit him?"

"Ah, nothing, actually. Just pissed off since he's the one who disturbs my peaceful time with my book, that's all," Ea said innocently, flipping his book's page and read it silently.

Mental note for everyone: Never disturb Ea whenever he was having a peaceful time with his beloved books, or else, you'd see a nightmare from his rage mode.

A/N: So… The main idea here is 'Landkarte thought that the leech which appeared in his room that morning was a reincarnation from two snails he accidentally murdered before'. And this lame plot originated from an absurd conversation between me and my friend on facebook (aLine Azure, she has FFn account too). It really happened, by the way, but not very similar with what happened in this fic: I stepped on two snails in a day when I was camping a year ago, and I ended up waiting in a queue for taking a bath for three hours. So when my friends has finished their meals and started taking a rest, I was still waiting for my turn to take a bath (but I wasn't alone, anyway). There're three bathrooms for girls, and they're all occupied. Guess my luck wasn't good that time… #sobs

About the leech that appeared in a bedroom… It really was. In mine. I didn't realize it when I woke up since I didn't wear my glasses that time, and just wore it when I was going to the bathroom. My grandma was the one who saw it first, and told me when I was having breakfast. And when I told my friend about the snails… She told to me what Zehel said to Landkarte. And in a joking way, of course. (-w-)v
