Costanza Toretto POV
The next couple of days passed in a similar fashion— the team worked on cars in the garage and Mommy was taking care of the newborn triplets, Isabella Amalia Toretto (mini lily), Amadeo Luka Toretto (mini-Dom), and Vincent Antioch Toretto (looks like tony, (aka this Harry Potter or Harry Toretto)). Dom was just as eager as ever to take on new projects with the same enthusiasm he had for cars and cars alone.
Letty came from the back of the garage and noticed that Tony and I weren't in the room. She looked around and found Daddy standing on the other side of the room, surrounded by the two energetic three-year-olds. He was teaching them all the knowledge he had of the cars, the tools and the different parts needed to fix them.
Letty enjoyed observing the scene, she was happy to see the bond that was growing between the three of them and how we looked up to daddy. She had no doubt that we were all happy with the way things were going.
Daddy leaned up from the car, and started rummaging on the cart, looking for another tool. I jumped on a nearby stool and started spinning.
"You're gonna get dizzy." warned Daddy.
I shook my head, my red hair pulled up in a messy bun, and my outfit consisting of gray shorts, a black tank top with white stars, and a pair of black tennis shoes. Tony was wearing jeans, a spiderman t-shirt, and white tennis shoes.
"Alright, hardhead, go get me the other toolbox over there, please." Dom suggested.
I laugh and regain my footing before looking back at him, "Which one?"
Daddy scans the shelves a moment, before pointing. "That one, with the yellow top." He squints his eyes.
I followed his point and finds the box and ran to it, when I tries to pick it up, it's too heavy for her, but that won't stop me, Tony and I pushed the box with all our might and soon it was in place. Mommy went over and helped secure the box. She gave me a high five and a warm smile.
"That's my girl," she said. "Just like a Toretto."
Leon watched the whole thing with admiration, and he couldn't help but chuckle. He knew better than to start any playful banter with Dad, the man was like a lion protecting his cubs.
"So, Dom, is Costanza Toretto tough or what?" He asked.
Vince and Jesse laughed again, but this time it was a different kind of laughter. It was proud laughter, proud of the family they had created and the legacy that had been passed down.
Dom smiled, knowing everybody in the room had felt the same pride. "She's my little fighter," he said. "Just like Lily."
Everyone had a knowing smile, understanding that Dom was referring to his beloved wife, Lily. A Toretto and an Evans, two families, one family.
"Well, you better watch out," Letty said. "If Costanza hits like Lily it's over for you."
Vince and Jesse both laughed again. They had all seen firsthand Lily's impressive skills and knew that I had inherited half of my mother's ability, Leon was in some trouble.
Leon looked at me with newfound admiration, before turning to Dad with a nod, "No doubt." he said.
I put my hands on my hips and shot my father a look. "I just wanted to help," I said defiantly, more to Dad than to Leon.
Dom smiled and hugged me, before giving me a light push back towards the box.
"You should let your friends help," he said. "But most of all, never forget to put that fire in your heart."
Everyone smiled, Leon included. They all knew that the fire inside of me was my father's legacy and would stay with me for the rest of my life.
Dom had been a mechanic ever since high school, almost ten years. He opened his own shop after college and his father retired and it was now his business. Things had been going great, until his father passed away a couple of weeks ago.
Lily, Dom's longtime penpal, turned girlfriend, turned wife, had been helping him out in the shop since his father's death. She was a mechanic too, and her expertise had come in handy in restoring some of the older cars they had been working on. That day, their three-year old daughter, Costanza, was helping out as well, occasionally handing her mother the tools she needed.
Dom and Mia, Dom's little sister, were talking to each other behind them. Mia was on the fence about something, but she wasn't sure what to do.
"Just hold off on it." Dom said before taking a sip of his drink.
Suddenly, a tow truck backed into the driveway with an old and beat up car on top. Dom turned away from Mia and went over to check it out.
Mia saw Brian in the truck and instantly smiled. "Mia, your cheeks are really pink again." I pointed out.
Mia shook her head and playfully glared down at her niece. "Shush. They always look like that." she said, biting her pen.
The 3-year-old twins, Tony and I, started humming. "Mmmhm. Daddy said lying is a sin. You're sinning Mia." I said with a smile.
Mia laughed. "Okay, you know what." she said, grabbing me and running away.
Dad watched Mia and me before walking up and leaning against the garage opening. Jesse, Mia, Mommy, and Letty came out to see the car on the truck.
"What the hell is this? What do you got there?" Dom asked, looking amused.
Brian walked over with a smile. "This is your car." he said, motioning behind them.
Dom looked totally surprised. "My car?" he asked, still pointing at himself with an amused smile.
Jesse banged his forearm against it to test it. Momma propped her arms up on the back of her car, leaning back with me still holding onto her leg, and she looked up at the car on the truck, still confused.
"I said a ten second car, not a ten minute car." Dom jokes.
Brian chuckles nodding his head.
Jesse shrugs. "You could push this across the finish line or tow it."
They all laugh at him.
Dom shook his head. "You couldn't even tow that across the finish line." He looks at 3-year-old twins Costanza and Antonio. "Could Brian get that across the finish line Stanza, Tony?"
Their brows raised. "Get what across the finish line?"
All of them laugh at them.
"I rest my case." Dom nods.
"No faith." Brian says.
"Oh I have faith in you, but this isn't a junkyard, this is a garage." Dom motions to the inside of the shop.
"Pop the hood." Brian said motioning to Jesse.
"Pop the hood?" Dad repeats.
"Pop the hood." Brian says.
Dad takes out the crowbar and pops the hood, revealing a 2JZ engine. It was a common engine but expensive to replace, requiring a lot of parts from Japan.
"No shit." Jesse, who had been watching said.
"Told you." Brian said.
"Yeah, I retract my statement." Dom laughed.
Jesse began to go over the engine, noting all the work that needed to be done in order to get this car ready for the track again.
"We'll put it on my tab at Harry's." Dad nods and looked around, taking in the tools needed. "If you can't find the right tool in this garage, Mr. Arizona. You don't belong near a car."
Brian chuckled and nodded, happy to see his friend ready to get back on his feet.
"You know what? This will decimate all after you put about $15,000 in it or more." Jesse says, looking it over.
Aunt Mia who had been watching made a disgusted noise at her brother's enthusiasm. Race Wars was a renowned racing event down in the desert and it was Dom's chance to start making some money off racing.
"Alright then." Brian said, nodding. "Let's go for it."
Brian chuckles and nods his head as Dom gives me a little twirl before putting me down and giving my hair a ruffle. "Hey kiddo, have fun outside?" Dom's calm and cool demeanor is enough to put anyone at ease.
The group gathers in the garage and the triplets had already grown over the last few days. Dom sets Tony down on the floor and then sets me next to him. I study Brian for a few seconds before turning to dad with an inquisitive expression. Dom resists a smile and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear before reaching out to ruffle my hair. Mia then crosses the room to stand in front of Brian, her expression unreadable.
"He owns you now." she announced before walking away.
Brian watched her pass by, then turns to Dom who had a mischievous glint in his eyes. He gave a smirk and a chuckle before finally speaking.
"You own me now, huh?"
He scooped up Tony and me, spinning us around in his arms, before setting us down on the floor. Tony reaches out to Brian before repeating his dad's words.
"He owns you now!" he laughed, then began setting up his toy charger on the floor.
Brian couldn't help but smile looking at the family he had come to be a part of. Even though he was an undercover agent, here he felt exactly as he was supposed to be. He had found a home away from home, surrounded by friends and family, and he had Dom to thank for that.
Dom gave him a knowing look before ruffling my hair one more time.
"You'd better watch it." he teased. "She owns us all now."
Brian chuckled and nodded in agreement. No matter what happened, this was the place he wanted to be, the family he needed. This was home.
Antonio and I ran around the house, our toy chargers in our hand and playing with our daddy's chain.
"Hey Daddy?" I said, tugging on dad's pants leg.
"Hmm?" Dom said as he bent down to our level.
"Bri comes around a lot." Antonio said.
Dom stopped and looked down at them. "Yeah, he does."
"And Aunt Mia likes him." Antonio and I said in unison, pointing out what we had seen.
Dom smirked. "Now how do you know that?"
We looked at each other then back at Dad. "They look at each other weird. Then she grins a lot when she sees him." Antonio and I said, both shrugging our shoulders in unison. "Like, a lot."
Dom couldn't help but chuckle. "Also, uncle Leon kept saying uncle Vince was jealous because Aunt Mia wants Brian as her boyfriend." I continued.
Dom raised an eyebrow, still amazed at how much his three-year-olds noticed. "You notice way too much." Dom said, poking their foreheads gently making them giggle. "It's a good thing you pick up on a lot though. But yes, she might like him."
We looked up at him with their heads tilted to the side. "So does this mean Bri is family now?" Antonio and I asked, hopeful.
Dom looks over his shoulder back at Brian who was talking to Jesse and soon nods. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. Give him some time before you start picking with him though, little troublemakers."
"Okay." Antonio and I mischievously grinned.
Dom shook his head, before turning to us. "Alright, car one down. You ready to start learning about Chargers now?"
Tony's and my eyes widened excitedly. "The one like granddad has in the garage?"
"Yep, exactly like that." Dom replies, motioning for them to go outside. Together, we head out to the garage to show us our granddad's Ford Charger and start teaching us how to take care of it and understand how it worked.
Lily Toretto
Inside the House
I had been staring blankly at the door, my hands held tightly around a dusty, old trunk I had found hidden away in the Evans' attic. I had found it while rummaging through all the boxes, searching for any clues to my past.
There, hidden in the trunk and tucked beneath a pile of photos and old clothes, was a faded yellow paper. I carefully pulled it out, unfolded it and – my heart skipped a beat – stared at what was revealed on the paper.
It was a birth certificate, and for the first time I saw my true name printed in ink: - Bryony A R C-G-V. I can only make out my first name.
The tears had already started flowing and I barely even noticed.
You see, three years ago, I had been unable to shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. Rose Thalia Evans (nee Gray) and Edward Thomas Evans, my adoptive parents, had raised me as their own since I was just a newborn, but something inside me kept telling me that they weren't my real family.
And this birth certificate had just confirmed it. How else could my true identity have been kept a secret for all this time? By some dark twist of fate, I had been kidnapped from my biological parents when I was a just a baby.
But, even through the sadness and emotions that day, one thought still lingered in my mind. If my name was not 'Lily' but Bryony, then what else did I not know about my past or about myself?
It was time to find out as I apparated.
Diagon Alley
It was the first time I'd ever been to Gringotts for a heritage test. All my life I'd heard stories of the goblin-run bank, but I had never had occasion to visit for this until now.
My stomach churned with trepidation as I entered the imposing marble building, my feet echoing on the polished floor. I made my way to the reception desk, where a goblin gave me an unfriendly glare as I asked to take a heritage test.
The test was surprisingly straightforward. I simply had to provide my full name, date of birth and any family names I knew. Everything I put down seemed to match up with what the goblin had on file, and soon enough I was done.

Then, on a whim, I asked the goblin to pull any kidnappings of newborn babies in 1980. The goblin gruffly muttered something about it being an unusual request, but a few moments later he began to read from a file:
'Bryony Aurora Rosalee Capulet-Gaunt-Verone, daughter to Morfin Gaunt and Cecilia Selene Verone nee Capulet. Born 30th January 1980, kidnapped from hospital on 1st February 1980.'
I gasped in shock at seeing my name, my mind spinning with this new information. All these years, I had thought I was the product of a one-night stand, which even if I am, I am definitely not an Evans. I had never suspected that I had been taken from my parents all those years ago.
As I left Gringotts, I knew that my life was about to take a very different path than the one I had imagined.
Dom Toretto
1327 Echo Park
The group grew quiet, as everyone gathered their snacks and got situated into the living room. Surprisingly, Vince had canceled that morning, as soon as he found out that Brian was going to be there. That left no one to question why, as they knew it had to be something personal that he needed to work out.
The movie began to play, but the conversation soon shifted to aliens, as Leon asked the same exact question he had asked for the last hour, if Brian really thought aliens were a real thing.
Brian shook his head with a slight laugh, "No. Come on, who thinks of this stuff to make a movie?"
Jesse sat up, holding his arms out in an excited gesture. "Government corruption, man!"
Mia rolled her eyes, "Will you two drop it already?"
"Not until my case is heard." Leon pointed at Brian. "Dom, come on, tell him they are real."
I waved his hand dismissively. "Let's just watch the movie, alright? We still have that, at least."
The rest of the group stayed quiet, as they finally watched the movie. I however, sat silently on the couch, my eyes lingering to the bedroom where Lily and the newborn babies were sleeping. My mind filled with the upheaval from that morning, when Lily found out she was a kidnap victim as a newborn herself.
I briefly felt a twinge of guilt for leaving her to process the information by herself. As everyone else settled in for the movie, I quietly got up and checked on her, and kissed her.
After I made sure she was rolled over, with a cup of chamomile tea next to her, I made my way downstairs, joining the rest and enjoying the movie with them. Even though Vince had canceled, at least they still had this. I thought to myself. I had that thought, as the family cuddled in close and enjoyed a quiet movie night at home.
Letty let out a chuckle and leaned against a chair. "I think this is more entertaining than the movie." she said and laid across the floor on her side.
Suddenly we heard soft steps coming from upstairs and before we could react, Costanza came downstairs quietly, somehow having not woken her twin, Tony. However, that caught their attention when she hit the bottom steps.
I felt a lump in my throat seeing how afraid and exhausted my daughter was. I could see the tears streaming down her face and I felt a wave of guilt and empathy crashing over me. I knew what this bad dream was about, and it broke my heart even more. I wanted to tell her that it was alright, that nothing bad would ever happen to any of us, but the words caught in my throat.
Instead, I looked at Letty and exchanged a sad, understanding glance. I didn't need to say what I was feeling; she knew. Letty moved closer and knelt down and pulled Costanza into a hug, whispering soothing words to her.
Leon and Jesse stood a few feet away, both looking too shaken up to say anything. Jesse was clenching his fists and Leon was looking down, deep in thought. Brian was the only one who seemed oblivious. He was looking around with a dumbfound look on his face. He was too confused and didn't understand what had just happened.
Mia was the one who finally broke the silence. She knelt down and pulled Costanza closer to her and began to murmur comforting words. She spoke of how it was just a dream, how they were all still here, especially me. My daughter looked up at me and a smile slowly formed.
As Costanza slightly nodded and finally began to calm down, I felt myself relax. I felt a wave of relief wash over me and I smiled down at her. I was grateful for my family and their love, and I was overjoyed that Costanza was alright again.
I willed myself to stay awake for as long as I could. I was holding Costanza in my arms as I watched some of the classic movies my dad used to show me when I was a kid. I had been telling her stories as I ran my hands through her hair, to help her drift off to sleep.
I looked at the clock, she had been up for almost three hours now. But Costanza's eyes were still wide open. She was scared, terrified of the bad dream she had woken up too.
But Brian now knew why, he saw the way I was with her, and it made him understand what I had gone through being locked up in my younger years.
Leon came over and checked on them, while Mia and Letty were busy in the kitchen, fixing food for the next movie.
"She sleep yet Dom?" Leon asked.
I sadly shook my head; it was hard for me to see my daughter like this and not be able to do anything about it.
"Not sleepy yet, right?" I asked Costanza softly.
She silently shook her head, her sad gaze never leaving me. I knew it would take a while for her to fall asleep again.
Letty watched from the kitchen, and it made her tear up. It reminded her of Dom and the hard life he had lived in his younger years.
Mia noticed her tears and grabbed her hand. "You know she's gonna be fine."
Letty nodded and hugged her. "Mia, I can never thank you enough for all you have done for this family."
Mia smiled and said, "We just need to make sure Dom is around to watch her grow up. That's why you got to make sure he is always here for her. So, make sure Lily and you team up to stop Dom from doing reckless stuff."
Letty smiled through her tears and promised to do whatever it took. She wouldn't let her past dictate anything for her anymore. She knew everyone would hate her for being Tran's girlfriend, which is why she hasn't told anyone and would help Lily control Dom with his lovely stunts.
She needed me to feel safe, the way she always feels when I am around. I wanted to tell her how sorry I was for not being able to protect her from the pain of her nightmares she had gone through. But, when I tried to speak, the words seemed to stick in my throat.
"It's just a daddy's girl thing." Mia said with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. I couldn't help but smile.
Letty nodded. "Definitely is. I know it's mostly because she has... oops."
My gaze fell to Letty, and I felt a knot in my stomach. That was it. The painful truth that none of us ever wanted to talk about.
I wanted to speak up and acknowledge that I knew, knew my daughter could see the future, but I just couldn't seem to find the words. Instead, I just sat there in silence, my gaze fixed on the floor.
But I knew they could feel the emotion in the room, because I could feel it, too. I knew that Letty and Mia understood the truth, just like I did.
Costanza POV
Music played in the backyard as the grill was lit and going.
As usual it was their normal Sunday family dinner, but this was going to be Brian's first time at one. He had heard from Mia that this was a normal thing in the neighborhood and for the family to do as Dom and Mia's dad had made it into a tradition for the family.
I had some of my hair pulled back in a ponytail and the rest out around my shoulders. I wore a pink dress, and a pair of sandals. Tony though, he wore fitted jean capri's, with a black shirt, and a pair of sneakers.
We were running around the yard playing with Jesse. After I finally fell back asleep last night, I woke back up like my normal self again. Which was much relief to Dad and the others as they hated seeing me so shutdown, scared, and sad.
"Costanza, you wanna give Brian a hand?" Dom calls out to her as he was on the grill. "Show him how it's done."
"Okay!" Costanza walks over.
Brian chuckled. "Hi Costanza, it's nice to meet you." He smiled and nodded.
I held his hand and guided him over to the table. "This is where you need to put the plates, and these are the napkins." I said and pointed to each item. She handed him each one and showed him how to put them out.
Brian smiled as he watched my naturally confident behavior. He simply listened to and followed my instructions - he rarely ever saw a three-year-old with such assertiveness.
I went around the table again and showed him where the forks, knives, and spoons needed to go. "And now the drinks." I said and pointed towards the fridge.
Brian bent down and spoke softly to me, his blue eyes glistening, "You know, Costanza, you're a very smart girl. You know what to do way better than some adults I know."
Brian joked, "Certain table setup too?"
Tony and I squealed with glee, helping Brian to set up the table. But really, Dom had been the one to initiate all of this. He had held out his arms with a grin and said, "Gotta respect the tradition, Arizona. Get used to it. Don't worry though, you got a pro with you."
Mia, laughed at us. "So, I put these in the middle?" Brian asked.
I nodded. "But you have to save room because Mia goes overboard with potato salad, so she makes this big bowl of it, and it takes up a lot of space. Only because it's her favorite side."
"Yeah?" Brian asked. "What else are her favorite sides?"
"The list goes on; she eats a lot." Costanza and Tony eyes widened, they turn around and looks back. "Don't tell her we said that."
Brian laughs. "Secret safe with me." The twins' eyes him and showed their pinky. "Swear?" Brian hooked his with theirs. "Swear. As long as you can give me hints on what she likes and doesn't."
"We can do that!" Tony and Constanza says, "Only on one condition." "Listening?" "You don't hurt her." Tony and Costanza say sternly. "If you do, my daddy will hurt you and I mean bad."
Brian slowly nods. "Trust me, I know, and you have my word. I may not be perfect, but I won't hurt your aunt." The three-year-old twins brow raises with suspicion. "I promise."
"Okay, good." Three-year-old twins Costanza and Tony clap jumping down. "We're done." They pick up their toy Charger cars.
We leapt off of Brian's lap and ran across the yard, our laughter ringing behind them. Mia watched her niece and nephew with a pleased smile before turning her attention to Brian.
"My nephew and niece...they never tire." She shook her head and picked up one of the cars that was now strewn across the grass. "Dom bought them all these cars...he's a bit of a softy when it comes to his kids."
Brian laughed as he stood up, dusting grass off of his jeans. "What can I say? They're like little versions of him, they even talk like him."
Mia smiled, "That they do." Just then Tony and I came running back over, carrying a pile of toy cars between them.
"Brian, watch this!" I said excitement practically radiating off of me. Tony had his hands full of cars as well and both of us seemed completely oblivious to the auras around us, showing magic. We carefully arranged our cars in a circle and stood in the center, Costanza proudly holding her treasured charger between her hands.
"Okay, were done!" We shouted in unison, clapping our hands together.
Brian watched with amazement, (Brian was a half-blood) as the two of us spun around in the center of the circle, the cars seemingly floating in the air before coming to a graceful rest on the grass once more.
"That's amazing!" Brian exclaimed, stunned.
We beamed up at him, my grip on her charger already a little tighter.
"I told you he would like it!" I said happily, a proud smile appearing on her face.
Dom was finishing up by the grill as Brian and Mia were starting to bring food out of the house.
"Costanza, Tony, you wanna kick the soccer ball around?" Jesse throws it up.
"Sure!" Tony and I nod.
"Alright!" Jesse cheered.
I ran backwards, Jesse kicked the ball. It came with too much force, going the opposite way, hitting the side of the house it bounced off the door of Dad's car making both of our eyes widened.
Dad stops from the grill to look back at us with a stern gaze and raised brow. Tony quickly pointed to Jesse who avoided eye contact with Dom. Brian and Mia laugh at them.
I felt flustered and was not sure what to do. I wanted to apologize to Dad but was too scared to do so. I glanced over at Tony, who was now looking back at Dom with a puppy dog look on his face.
Dad pursed his lips and shook his head. He walked over to the children and said, "Let's go pick up that soccer ball, and then the three of you can go play somewhere else." Jesse, Tony and I nodded in agreement, I was feeling relieved I wouldn't be getting in trouble.
Dad walked over to the car and inspected the damage. He sighed and shook his head. He looked over at the three of them again and said, "You know how to take care of a car and how to care for things, right?"
Tony and I nodded in agreement. Jesse spoke up and said, "Yeah, we always told not to play near the cars."
Dom looked at them one more time, with a stern but kind expression on his face. He said, "Good. Now get out of here, and next time be more careful!"
The three of us ran away, not daring to look back at Dad in case he wanted to ground us by not letting us help with the cars. As we rounded the corner, the sound of laughter from Brian and Mia was almost audible. I knew that even though Dad was stern with us, he had still forgiven Jesse and us kids and smiled to myself.
Dom calls us to dinner. "Alright everybody, let's sit down."
"You ready to eat?" Mommy, when she came out takes my hand as they walk to the table.
"Yeah!" I jump.
Lily giggles at her excitement. "Yeah."
As everybody was sitting down, Lily takes her shades off and rests them on top of her head and starts to fix my hair.
Everybody was all seated, Jesse grabs a piece of chicken and puts it on his plate.
"Hey, hold up." Dom gets everybody's attention. "Because you were the first to reach in to get the chicken, you say grace." Brian looks at Dom a little taken back that they even said grace there.
"What? Come on." Jesse whines. "Costanza and Tony are the kids, make them do it."
"Hey." Our brows knot together with a pout.
Dom shakes his head. "They know the rules better than anybody. Why do you think they haven't touched anything yet?" I smile. "Now you're saying grace, end of story."
Jesse nods. "I know." We all bowed our heads. "Dear, heavenly um..."
"Spirit." Tony and I help him.
"Spirit, right, thank you." Jesse says to her. "Thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous injection, for core inter-coolers." Jesse continues, everybody shares amused looks. "ball-bearing turbos and titanium valve springs. Thank you."
The table claps for him with a slight cheer.
"Amen." Leon says, he claps for his buddy.
Dom chuckles and points to Jesse. "Not bad."
"Praying to the car gods man." Letty laughs a little.
They start digging in, making their plates and passing the food around.
"Look what I made Costanza, Tony, and I made it the old way you like it to." Mia showed her the treacle tart.
Tony's and my eyes widened. "Mia, we love you more than we did before."
Mia laughs when we hug her arm. "Oh wow."
Everybody shook their heads laughing at them.
Leon glances up when he saw Vince walking in. "Look who it is. Old Coyotes 'R' Us." This got the tables attention. "I thought you weren't hungry pumpkin?"
"He's always hungry." Lily and Letty say, as Lily was fixing my plate for me, and Letty was fixing Tony's plate for him. "Let me get all the food on your plate first." I hum her laugh as I was in mid eating a rib, Letty giggles whipping sauce off her chin. "Greedy."
Vince shrugs. "You know I gotta eat."
Dom motions him over. "Alright, sit down."
Vince walks over patting Dom on the back and messed with his head, he rubbed Mia shoulder going past. "How you doing, Mia?" Mia says nothing and looks down. Vince ruffles Tony and my hair as he sat down. "Hey, little bits."
I bite her rib again. "Hey, Uncle Vince."
Vince was handed a beer as he joined the family at the table. Dom looks up between Vince and Brian as he could tell the tension was still thick between those two and Mia.
Letty saw this as well; she just smiles and playfully slaps Vince shoulder. "Let's eat some grub man."
"Yeah, you better get a rib before this one eats them all." Dom nods his head to me; Tony was more a steak eater.
Vince chuckles at Nicole. "That's nothing but that Toretto appetite."
"You know it." Dom smiles.
They all continued to talk and eat; Mia had used her new camera to take a couple of pictures of everyone to keep for memory's sake. The good time had continued all the way until nightfall.
After the BBQ was over and things were cleaned up; all the guys, along with Letty and I were in the living room watching a movie.
Brian was in the kitchen giving Mia a hand with the rest of the dishes and putting away the food and Mommy was back in her room that she shared with Dom, daddy, taking care of the triplets.
He had glanced in the living room before going back to helping Mia. "You know I really never pictured your brother as the family type."
Mia smiles with a nod. "Yeah, trust me when I tell you that you aren't alone. Nobody thought my brother could be a father that young, well I mean it is possible but to be good at it is what I mean." She puts some of the dishes away. "Antonio and Costanza changes him every single day, he just doesn't see it yet. I guess apart of him wants to hold onto that life and the other half still wants to be a good dad."
"That's gotta be a never ending, back and forth war."
"Yeah, that's true, but eventually he has to choose one." Mia sadly smiles.
Brian nods looking down. "We all gotta choose one thing at some point..."
Letty had her arms wrapped around a sleeping Tony and me who rested in between her legs, hugging her torso and using her chest as a pillow. Dom sat behind them with Letty laid back against a chair. Everyone took care of the twins, and since Letty is our godmother...
I moved making my aunt figure look down. Letty smiles down at her and starts playing with my hair.
"All that food knocked her out." Dom jokes, he messed with my cheek.
Letty giggles swatting at his hand. "Stop that before you wake my evil child up."
In the middle of them watching the movie, nobody had known why but Vince hit the wall as stormed back out from the kitchen that he went into to get something.
"Where's the popcorn?" Jesse asks.
"Get your own damn popcorn!" Vince kicks Leon and Jesse legs.
Leon threw a piece of paper at him in retaliation. Vince walks out the house, he slams the door behind him which startled Nicole out of her sleep as she pops up.
"What's his problem?" Letty questions about Vince.
"My guess it was a certain Buster and my sister." Dom says. I yawn, rubbing my eyes. "Go on upstairs and get ready for bed Nicky." He used his free arm to help us up. "I'll be up to tuck you in, in a little bit."
"Okay." Tony and I waves tiredly back at them. "Goodnight, everybody."
"Night, night, Tony, Stanza." Leon waves.
"Goodnight." Jesse calls out. "Sleep tight."
Tony and I walk away, heading upstairs.
Letty watches her go up. "...It's hard looking at Stanza and Tony and know they won't be that little kid around here one day."
"I try not to think too much about it." Dom looks from the steps we went up; he looks back down at Letty. "Gotta enjoy the time we have with them while their still young." He smiled at her, making her smile. "Stanza's still going to be that baby girl, regardless."
"Good luck telling a teenage Costanza that." Letty chuckles, she locks her hand with Dom. "How are you going to feel when she starts attracting guys?"
"What guys?" Dom questions.
"Dom." Letty gives him a look. "You think your daughter with Lily won't attract guys? Especially if she's going to want to be near a racing scene."
"Who said she was going to be in the racing scene?" Dom asks.
"Well, I can see the arguments between you two now." Letty rolls her eyes playfully. "Just so you know now, I'm staying out of them."
"That's fine." Dom nods. "Just don't question me when you see me dragging her back in this house."
"Do not drag my daughter." Lily points, having come down when Vince stomped out, Dom laughs. "You have a lot of jokes." She looks down as her smile drops. "Listen, about that job coming up-"
"We're still doing it; I already told you that." Dom stops her.
Lily sighs. "Dom, I can't leave her, and you can't either," She shakes her head. "You know we can't do that. She needs us and I know you don't want to but Dom, sooner or later, we have to stop what we're doing."
"I know," Dom nods. "Which is why we're not leaving her." Lily lifts her head a little to look up at him. "When it's all done, we are going to take a trip and get away for a while. Then when we come back...things can change. All of this can change."
"You mean it?" Lily asks with a smile.
"Yeah." Dom nods. "We stick together, remember?"
"I remember." Lily hugs him and gets back comfortable.
Although she was happy to hear all of that, the nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach wouldn't fade. They needed things to go well so they could finally get their lives together and do things differently but there was a voice in the back of her mind that things weren't going to end well, and she just hoped it was wrong...
