"Pardon me?"

"I said: we're going to run at the usual route today in PE class."

Landkarte stared at Ea, who was stiffened and looked like he would faint at anytime. Krowell's stoic face didn't change, even though he knew already about the reason of Ea's paled face.

"I don't know if the teacher will give us scores or not, but really—I'm not lying," said the silver haired teen, without even bothered to change his expression. "And that means—"

"That means that I'll be the last again, right?" mumbled Ea morosely.

Landkarte had to try his best not to laugh at his best friend's cloudy fate.

Story 23

~Jogging~

Oo—O—oO

Karu Barsburg, or better known as 'Ea' only, was very good at staying inside his room than everyone else would do. Reading for hours was his best too, beside cooking his own favorite meals or helping Profe at house chore. Babysitting Tiashe, like Landkarte, was his hobby too—since the boy's real Uncle (other than Kreuz) was the worst at handling children.

But then, even though he has a lot of fangirls because of his looks or his reputation at school, he too had a weakness as a human. And that was…

"Are you sure you're going to join us too?"

"…actually, I'm not."

Krowell sighed. He knew this scene would always happen if their PE class material was running.

"Okaay… So you're not sure you're going to faint or not."

A nod from the dark-haired teen.

"Before you faint at the middle of our route, I think it'll be better if you faint now."

"If I can do it, you loafer, then I'll do it now."

"And repeating the same thing like last year?"

"…shut up."

Landkarte smirked. "Admit it, Ea. You can't run."

Ea face palmed and mumbled softly, "I thought I've admit it from a long time ago…?"

.

And Landkarte was right.

Not reaching halfway of their route, Ea had felt a pain on his waist; something that only happened every time he was overly tired. He chose to walk instead, since their teacher has given him permission to do so. Krowell was far in front of him, while Landkarte…

"Tired already, my friend?"

"Shut up. Don't need that big mouth of yours here."

The light-haired teen chuckled, and then stopped to run. He walked beside his tired housemate with his hands behind his head. "Don't worry, I'll stay beside you. I'm worried that you might fainted again, looking at your current condition."

"Somehow, I'm not that happy to hear it from you."

"So you prefer to see me walking beside anyone else?"

Ea pulled Landkarte's sleeve immediately, and the other teen just chuckled at how 'cute' Ea's attitude could be. They continued to talk like they're not in the middle of PE Class, walking casually on the road, until they saw a group of three turkeys at halfway of their route. Ea stared silently at the biggest turkey, and the turkey looked at him as if he was a suspicious person. Landkarte continued to talk, not knowing that his friend was walking silently beside him while looking at the turkeys before Ea whispered to him, "I wonder why that turkey stares at me since we arrived here…"

Landkarte stopped his talk, and turned to see the turkey Ea mentioned before—

-only to hear a loud screech from their back that made them ran away.

Being chased by a turkey definitely wasn't a joyful thing to happen in your PE Class, I swear.

.

Krowell was almost arrived at the finish line when he heard a—er, two—loud, scared screams from his back. He shouldn't turn his head to see who's the owner of those voices, but since his curious side won…

…he regretted his choice as well as having a suspicious-looking friend like Ea that not only attract dogs to run after him, but even a turkey.

"RUN RUN RUN RUUUUN! OR ELSE YOU'LL BE BITTEN BY THAT EVIL TURKEY!"

"SHUT UP, LANDKARTE!"

"And I should've asked the teacher to change the route before…" said Krowell while speeding up his speed, so he wouldn't be a wrong victim from a misunderstood turkey.

After they arrived at the place where their friends were waiting, the turkey was shooed away by Eve—and Ea collapsed from too much running in instant.

Landkarte, who has higher stamina than his housemate, sat tiredly on the side of the road, leaving Ea laying (almost) unconsciously next to him. Krowell wasn't very different from him, but he still could stand and asked the teacher to change the route for their next meeting. "No one—definitely no one—would want to be another victim of similar accident," said the tired teen before excusing himself to sit with his friends. The teacher has no choice but to accept it; he didn't want to be sued by his students' family for making them collapsed too, of course.

.

.

The end.

A/N: And so I unveiled the newest shameful incident. #facepalm The turkeys didn't run after me, though. But something that made me wondered until now is: why oh why, he (I know that the turkey is a male from my grandma) didn't scream at those who passed him before me? Why only me and my friend who ran behind? Damn turkeys. You made my legs hurt successfully. *draw turkeys and stabbed the picture with pencils* Die, I tell you, die!

Landkarte: *stared at the gloomy author before turned to smile again* And while the author is still depressed from not being able to join her friends at making film for Language Class, lemme and Ea answer your anonymous reviews, okay? *took out a piece of paper from his pocket*

Ea: *just nodded silently, still couldn't speak from his tiredness*

Landkarte: For Guest, no—I'm sure that's not Krom-san. Even if he knew that his son wouldn't be scared by that walking cat things, he would never did it to Tiashe-kun. Shinku said that what Zehel saw was… a real one? #shivers

Ea: And for Anonymous, well… Did your cousin read this lame fic? I knew her feelings well. Poor her… (-w-) Thank you for making the author realizes her mistake about the 'Chesire Cat' part *try hard not to laugh when remembering Krowell's costume* But unfortunately, your guess is still wrong. Better luck next time.

And since both of them have replied your reviews, let me give you an omake—

Ea: And I thought that you're still in depressed state.

-I am, dear Ea. I just want an extra to the readers as a thank you-gift for reading this fic… Go with the omake, guys~ :D *ignoring Ea's glare*

.

.

Omake!

.

"Hey, Ea. Come on. We have to go inside now, or else you'll get those strange looks from pedestrians again…" said Landkarte tiredly, trying to wake Ea up from his (not so) comfortable state. The dark-haired boy shook his head while muttered, "I can't… Too tired to walk…"

"Oh man… Come on. Don't act like me; that's my part to act like children."

Still a shook he got from Ea.

Landkarte sighed. "Which part numbs, then? I'll try to heal it," said him while pulling the dark-haired teen's hands. Ea huffed softly, and then answered with solemn face. "Kokoro yo*…"

Eve screamed hysterically when she heard that accidentally.

.

.

(lamely) the end. (-w-)/

* Kokoro yo = my friend (a male one, mind you) actually answered with, "Hatiku…" (or "My heart…") when his (also male) friend asked Landkarte's question. I used this phrase so no one would mistake it as part which pumps our blood. And it's actually a usual joke, not meaning that he's gay. But I still smiled fujoshi-ly when I heard that. #slappedbyEa
