A Brother and Black Dragon

The morning after the plan made, Seth has a constant scowl on his face, and he always glared at Akefia every time he saw the ex-Thief King. Akefia know that it's part of the acting, but seeing Seth glared at him causing for him to also glared at the High Priest. Needless to say, the air become so tense that people feel like they were suffocated by the heavy air.

Seth huffed loudly and looked away from Akefia's direction, but it's kind of hard to do because they were standing across each other. "Pharaoh." Seth started as he looked at his Cousin, "I heard that you are planning to announce something important during the morning meeting, is that right?" he asked with a tone that sounded like forced politeness.

Seth's question brought the attention fully to the Pharaoh, because before that, everyone either looking at Seth or at Akefia due to their glaring contest.

"That's right." The Pharaoh answered calmly with a smile on his face, not even bothered by the tense air. "The announcement I was planning to make is that I will adopt Yugi as my Son." He stated confidently.

Seth raised an eyebrow at that, but just as he opened his mouth to ask something, someone beat him to it. "That's insane, Pharaoh!" Akhunadin, a High Priest with a single eye and a Millennium Eye in the place of his other eye, stated in outrage.

Atem narrowed his eyes, "Do you questioning my Sanity, High Priest Akhunadin?" he asked calmly but with a dangerous tone in his voice.

Akhunadin gasped before bowing, "Forgive my rudeness, Your Majesty." Akhunadin apologized, "But Yugi is the Son of a Thief! You shouldn't do this!".

Seth scowled again, "A second, High Priest Akhunadin." He called coldly, "Yugi has no blood relation with the Thief King, Akefia only took him because Yugi has no one else at the time." He narrowed his eyes at the single eyed High Priest, "As much as I hate the Thief King, I won't tolerate it if you dare to treat the boy differently just because he was happen to be raised by a thief!".

Akhunadin stared at Seth with wide eye, "But a fruit will not fall far from it's tree." He argued softly, "Even if Yugi has no blood tie with the Thief King, he will surely become a thief like him one day due to the thief way of raising him".

"Hey." Akefia growled out in annoyance, "Don't talk like I'm not here." He huffed out loud, "A fruit will not fall far from it's tree, it's true." He glared at Akhunadin, "But let me make this clear, High Priest, I never teach Yugi how to steal. Hell! I even would kill myself before I let him become a thief like me!" he yelled the last line in anger.

Akhunadin, Shimon, Karim and Shada all taken aback by the ex-Thief King's words, they never thought they would ever heard him talking like that. Who would ever thought that a Thief King would try his best to raise a child as normally as he could so the boy would never become a thief also?

"Not only that." Atem said to get everyone attention, "I know that many of you would disagree with my decision, and so, I send some people asking people's opinions about Yugi secretly." He looked at every single person in the room, "From what they heard, the people love Yugi very much, they know him as a kind and cheerful boy who act more wise and mature than most adult. I'm sure that they will accept Yugi as their Prince, and if they are fine with it, why must you disagree, Akhunadin?" he raised an eyebrow at him.

Akhunadin was speechless, so he just bowed low and stay quiet the rest of the meeting unless he need to say something. Seth, on the other hand, was narrowing his eyes and watching Akhunadin's every movement before looking at his Cousin secretly and receiving a short nod from the Pharaoh that will go unnoticed unless someone expected it. Seth nodded back, they had silently agreeing to pay more attention to Akhunadin's movement, the single eyed Priest was acting strange.

Normally, Akhunadin would follow what Atem said without question and only giving advice here and there if he saw it fit, but now the grey haired man was opposing the Pharaoh's decision in public. Seth found it strange, maybe because of the shock, people often show their real self under shock or pressure. But then again, Seth mused in his mind, why would Akhunadin get so shocked when he heard Atem planning to adopt Yugi? He asked himself. It's just so strange, most of the people in the room was happy because now the Pharaoh had a Son to inherit the Throne in the time when he passed away or unable to rule due to some reason like sickness, so why must Akhunadin get so shocked like that?

"I will continue this meeting two sun movement after Lunch." The Pharaoh's announcement pulled Seth out from his thought.

"Nee, Pharaoh." Akefia said casually, he never acted politely toward the Pharaoh and he never listened when someone scold him for that, so everyone just gave up and let him since the Pharaoh himself didn't mind the informal attitude.

"What is it, Akefia?" Atem asked as he stood from his Throne.

"Well, I want to ask for your permission to not attending the next meeting." Akefia said plainly.

Atem raised an eyebrow, "Why are you bothering to ask me? Normally you would just skip without a word." He asked curiously.

Akefia grimaced, "Yugi scolded me, saying that I need to ask for your permission, you are the Pharaoh after all." He answered with a sigh.

Atem chuckled, "I don't know why you want to skip, but since there's nothing important for today, I will let you." He said with a shrug, "But if something important come up, I will send someone to get you".

"I'm not a child, of course I know it." Akefia grumbled before he walk away, "Just get Yugi to find me if you need me." He said without looking at the Pharaoh.

"Should I tell Yugi that you need a manner class?" Atem asked, causing Akefia to stopped walking, "My birthday celebration is only a week away, people would talk bad of me and Egypt if you act so rude like this in front of them".

Akefia turned around and looked at Atem with a scowl on his face, "There's no need for me to take that useless class, I know how to act around people from other Countries." He snarled.

Atem grinned, "Yugi make you?" he asked teasingly.

Akefia growled before he turned around, "You know the answer to that question." He said under his breath as he walk away.

Atem merely chuckled and shook his head, "At least Yugi know how to keep him on short leash." He said cheekily.

"I heard that! Stupid Pharaoh!" Akefia's yell reached the Throne Room, causing Atem to chuckled again before he also walked out from the room.

Seth watched Atem's retreating figure with a small smirk before set a plain face again and walked out of the Throne Room along with the others, he had a plan to do for the day, and that's to go to the Village and search for people who has Ka with them.

"Going out, High Priest Seth?" Akhunadin asked as Seth walked to the stable direction.

"Aa, just going to walk to the nearby Village and get something for Atem's birthday present." Seth answered calmly. It's not a lie, he really going out to buy something for Atem's birthday, but he also going out to search for people who has Ka in them, just like the plan.

"Ah, I see." Akhunadin said with a nod, "Be careful on your way".

"I will." Seth answered shortly before continuing his way to the stable.

"High Priest Akhunadin?" Yugi asked as he move one of his pions.

Atem and Yugi were currently playing a game of Senet, in which Atem was winning, they were playing because Yugi was bored and Atem want to get close with his soon-to-be-Son.

"Yes." Atem answered as he studying the board, "He was acting strange, so we better keep an eye on him".

"You mean me?" Yugi asked with a grin, "Aren't you suppose to act like you don't know anything? If it's me, I could keep an eye on him easier because many people think that I'm an ordinary boy".

Atem chuckled as he move his pion, "I guess you are right." he agreed, "So, we are going to train together after this, and then having a ride to the Market".

Yugi nodded and his face showing a big grin, his sharp fangs showing a bit, "Yeah!" he agreed cheerfully, "I want to get something for your birthday's present, Daddy!".

Atem stared at Yugi, "D, Daddy?" he asked in surprise.

Yugi nodded, "Yup." He answered with a cute smile, "You are going to adopt me soon, right?" Atem nodded in answer, "Well, since my Papa is Akefia, you are my Daddy!" he raised both hands high in the air from his excitement.

Atem smiled warmly at Yugi and moved closer, "Then, can I hug you?" he asked softly with voice filled with love.

Yugi grinned and jumped from his chair then to Atem's lap, he then wrapped his arms around Atem's chest. "Of course you can hug me, Daddy." He said softly, "I'm glad that you want me as your Son".

Atem chuckled and ruffled Yugi's hair, "Who wouldn't want someone so adorable as you?" he asked with a grin before he stood up, Yugi still in his arms, "Let's go get some milk for you".

Yugi grinned again and nodded, "Yay!" he cheered happily.

Seth was walking around the village with a blue cloak hiding his clothes, he want to observe the people first before he take action, people would often show their true selves when there's no Royalties around them.

A frown come to his face when he heard a commotion, he looked around to find the source and saw a group of people crowding something not too far from him. Seth seth a firm expression and walking to the crowd, he had to forced his way among the crowd in order to see what caused such a commotion, but his curiosity win against his annoyance, so he didn't complain.

"I said, I saw you stole his money! Give it back!" Seth heard a voice yelled, when he arrived at the front of the crowd, he saw a blond haired guy wearing a brown colored cloak standing in front of younger boy. Across from the blond haired guy, he saw a man with bald head.

Seth frowned as he looked at the man, he remembered that face. "And I said I didn't steal anything!" the man yelled back at the blond haired guy.

The blond haired guy growled, "You wanna fight, huh?" he growled in anger.

The man smirked, "Fight, huh?" he sneered, "You will be dead by the end of our fight." he laughed evilly, "Come out, Silver Fang!" he yelled before a big wolf monster appeared behind him.

That Ka! Seth thought as he gasped in surprise, he remembered then, the man was once brought to the palace because he was stealing for food. Atem was merciful that time that he only make the man work hard labor for three years as his punishment, but then he went back to stealing and managed to escaped every time the guards found him.

"Ka?" The blond haired guy asked calmly, "So, you want to fight with your Ka because you are so weak that you can't fight by yourself?" he mocked.

"What did you say?!" The man shouted in anger, "I will kill you, brat! Attack him, Silver Fang!" he commanded.

Seth gasped as he looked at the wolf that running towards the guy, he reached for his Dia Dhank that he hid under his cloak before something catching his attention.

"Watch out!" The blond haired guy yelled as he pushed the younger guy behind him to somewhere else, at the same time, he also reached into his cloak and pulled out a sword and swung it to the wolf, forcing the wolf to retreat.

The man growled, "You think you can defeat my Ka with that sword?" he asked in challenge.

"Ka is better be fought with Ka." The blond haired guy said calmly, "But because I was attacked suddenly, I didn't have time to call out my Ka, that's why I use my sword to attack your wolf." He explained calmly before jumping backwards and put back his sword under his cloak, "Now, I will let you see my beautiful Ka." He smirked before the wind blowing harshly in respond to his Shadow Magic, "Come fort, Kuroki Ryuu (Black Dragon), Rue!" He yelled and a massive Ka appeared behind him. The Ka was a big Black Dragon with a pair of red eyes, the color was black but not a dull black, it's a shiny black.

Kuroki Ryuu? What language is that? Seth asked himself as he looked at the Black Dragon in awe. Aside from Kisara's White Dragon, he had never seen another dragon that was so big like that.

The man with the Wolf Ka gasped in horror at the massive Ka, he was so scared that his whole body was shaking. "You, you have a Ka?" he asked in disbelief.

"Are you kidding?" The blond haired guy asked in annoyance, "You just heard me calling him out, whose else he is if not mine?" he huffed in annoyance before looking at the wolf, "Rue, attack that wolf." He ordered calmly.

The big Black Dragon roared before clawing at the wolf, destroying it in an instant. The man knocked out cold once his Ka destroyed, but he was not dead, only fainted because of the shock.

Seth stepped out as the guy walking to the fainted man and pulled out a bag and threw it to the younger guy, who bowed in thanks and walk off right away. "Who are you?" Seth asked once he had the guy's attention.

The guy raised an eyebrow, "Isn't the polite manner is to tell your name first before asking someone's name?" he asked with a grin before holding out his hand, "My name is Jono, yours?" he asked.

Seth raised an eyebrow this time, "I thought that everyone here know my name, I guess I was wrong." He said to himself before shaking his hand with Jono, "My name is Seth." He stated calmly before pulling off his cloak's hood.

The people around them gasped before bowing low to him, "Huh? Why are they bowing?" Jono asked in confusion.

"That would be because I'm the High Priest of the Pharaoh." Seth answered with a smirk on his face, "I'm surprised that you didn't know it, but I guess that it's because you are a foreigner since you have pale skin".

Jono smirked back at him, "Indeed, I'm from Japan." He answered before pulling on his cloak's hood, "Then High Priest Seth, could you show me the way to the Palace? I need to talk to the Pharaoh about something, I need his help".

"Help?" Seth asked with his eyebrows raised as he also pulled on his hood, he told one of the villagers to get the guard to arrest the fainted man before looking back to Jono, "Sure I can show you the way, but what help? The Pharaoh's time shouldn't be wasted by something trivial, if it's something trivial then I will help you myself rather than bothering him about it".

"It's not something trivial, in fact, it's a really important matter." Jono answered seriously, "But it's better if we talk as he walk, I need to get to him as soon as possible".

Seth put on a serious face and nodded before showing the way, "I have a horse just outside of this Village, we will talk once we are on the horse so no one will hear it." He said as he walked ahead.

After a quite distant of walking, they arrived at the place where Seth left his horse and climbed on, Seth took the front and Jono behind him. "So, what is it?" Seth asked as he make his horse start walking in a fast pace, not running but not slow either.

"I need his help to search for my Little Brother." Jono answered right away, "He was kidnapped about 3 years ago, but because of something that happened between Egypt and Japan in the past, my Grandpa refused to contact Egypt to ask if my Little Brother was brought here, and since The Pharaoh never seen my Little Brother yet, there's no way he could contact Japan".

Kidnapped? Seth thought to himself, he remembered that Yugi was also kidnapped in the past, Could it be that this Little Brother is Yugi? He asked himself before deciding to ask question that will help him know. "It's hard to find someone among the people without any detail that was stand out." Seth started, "How does he look like?".

"My Little Brother is definitely stand out with his star shaped hair that has three colors." Jono answered with a chuckled, "I'm sure that the Pharaoh can order his guards to spread words about his look and he would received news immediately".

"Star shaped hair." Seth mumbled with a short laugh, "His name is Yugi?" he asked.

Seth heard Jono gasped, "Yes, he is." Jono answered in surprise, "Does this mean that . . .".

"I know him?" Seth finished for the shocked guy, "Yes, I know." He answered with a warm smile on his face, "That adorable Vampire Boy, he is in the Palace right now, there's no need for a search party".

"Wait!" Jono gasped in shock again, "You know he is a Vampire?" he asked.

Seth nodded, "Yes. I, The Pharaoh, and a few other people know about this fact, but we keep it secret until the time is right." he answered calmly, "His identity will be revealed when people's love to him grow more, he is already loved by the people, but we wait until that love grow so that they would not go against Yugi when they find out".

"The people know about Yugi?" Jono asked curiously, "How?".

"Well, he was first with a well known Clothes Merchant that named Bakura, but he was actually the Thief King Akefia. People know him as Bakura's Son because they almost always together in their stall, the only time when they weren't together was if Yugi playing with his friend, Malik, or when Akefia went to hunt for information or stealing." He laughed humorlessly, "The story is long and I don't know how they get together, you can ask Yugi for the detail if you want, but I know that Akefia was saving Yugi and took him under his care".

"Wait a minute." Jono said with a confused tone, "You said that this Bakura was actually the Thief King? And Yugi was with him?! How come the Thief King is in the Palace?! And does this mean that Yugi has become a thief?!".

"Calm down." Seth told him, "Why Akefia is in the Palace is a long story that would be best if you ask the person himself." he informed the panicked guy, "As for Yugi, rest assured because Akefia clearly stated that he would kill himself before he let Yugi become a Thief like him. Akefia loved Yugi like his own Son and he would never let Yugi do something bad, if it's need to be done, I'm sure that Akefia would do it himself than let Yugi to do it".

"If I ask the story, then you would say that it's a long story, right?" Jono asked slowly, Seth nodded, "Then once we arrived in the Palace, I requested to meet this so called Thief King and The Pharaoh so I can get the details".

"Sure." Seth answered with a smirk, "Hold tight." He warned before he make his horse run to the Palace. He heard Jono's yell of surprise before the blond haired guy's hands clutching on his clothes so he wouldn't fall.
