Announcement and An Attack

Solomon, Maya and Ryo gasped at that, before Solomon narrowed his eyes, "I'm sorry, Pharaoh, but I couldn't give you my permission to do that." He said firmly.

"But Jii-chan!" Yugi protested, "I want to stay here with them!" he said with a serious expression.

"No, Yugi." Solomon argued, "You are my Grandson, so you have to stay with us back in Japan".

Yugi opened his mouth to protest again but Jono placed a hand on his shoulder, Yugi looked up at Jono and Jono nodded before facing his Grandfather, "Grandpa, I'm sorry but I want you to let the Pharaoh to adopt Yugi." He said seriously.

"And why is that?" Solomon challenged with a glare.

"Yugi want to stay here, and Yugi would be sad if you don't let him stay." Jono started, "And you know that I would do anything to make Yugi happy".

Solomon's glare deepened, "Yugi will get over it, he would be happy with his family." He stated firmly.

"Grandpa." Princess Maya interrupted before Jono can argued back, "I agree with Jono, and I'm sure that Ryo also agree." She said as she looked at his Little Brother, who nodded his head in agreement, she looked back to her Grandpa, "I'm sure that Yugi would be more happy here since he said himself that he want to stay, if Yugi would be happy then we would support his decision, we want him to be happy".

Solomon growled, "Yugi is still young! He doesn't understand that he is a Prince of Japan, he still doesn't understand his responsibility!" he yelled in anger.

Maya narrowed her eyes, "And you don't care about his feeling?" she snapped.

Solomon huffed, "It's only temporary feeling, Yugi will be more happy if he's with us in Japan, where everyone care about him." he argued back.

"How can you be so sure?" Maya challenged, "Yugi clearly said that he want to stay, how come you are so sure that he feeling is only a temporary one?".

Solomon glared at her, "Because I'm his Grandfather, I know that he would come back to Japan eventually." He answered.

"It's maybe true that Yugi would want to come back to Japan again because he miss us." Ryo stated before he looked at his Grandfather, "But that doesn't mean that Yugi wouldn't want to return to Egypt. You know as well as we do that Yugi understood very well his responsibility to Japan, to his people, so you should consider about whether Yugi would be happy or not if he had to stay in Japan forever." He then narrowed his eyes, "I stay quiet because I was hoping you would listen to Maya and Jono, but it's seem that you are so stubborn until you wouldn't let Yugi to have his happiness".

"Yugi is too young to decide about where he should stay." Solomon said stubbornly.

"Yugi is very smart and mature, Grandpa, I think that he even more mature than you in this matter." Ryo snapped, making his siblings to take a step back because they never heard Ryo snapping before, Ryo was to timid to snapping to people, "Yugi has every right to decide for himself".

"He is too young, he only act impulsively." Solomon snapped back, "Yugi would be more happy if he is with us than here, we are his family".

"And I also have my family here." Yugi interrupted, "Stop talking as if I'm not here." He scowled, "Even if we are not related by blood, but Akefia is my Papa and Pharaoh is my Daddy, Seth is already like my Uncle".

"You just stay quiet, Yugi!" Solomon yelled in anger.

"Don't yell at Yugi!" Maya, Jono and Ryo all yelled together as Yugi bit his bottom lip.

"Grandpa, need I remind you what happened 7 years ago?" Maya asked coldly, catching the hint, Jono then covered Yugi's ears, "Need I remind you what had become of Yugi after he witnessed Mom and Dad killed in front of his eyes?!" she yelled in rage.

Solomon widened his eyes and take a step back, "Of course I remember, how could I forget?" he asked like it's so obvious.

"Then why are you refusing to let Yugi stay?" Ryo demanded, "As you said, Yugi is still young, it's true, so he need a parent figure. The Pharaoh can be his Father, and that's what Yugi need, so you have to listen to us and give your permission to the Pharaoh".

Solomon looked hesitant, so Jono pressed, "Would you take Yugi's happiness away? Would you make Yugi back to that emotionless child that we worked so hard to make him smile again? Would you take his smile again from him? Forever this time?" he narrowed his eyes.

"And you need to remember that forever is a really long time, Grandpa." Maya pressed further, "Even more so for Yugi".

Solomon looked at his Grandchildren for a long time before he sighed, "Alright, you win." He said with a heavy tone, feeling defeated. He turned to the Pharaoh, "I give you my permission to adopt Yugi, Pharaoh." He said.

Atem stood up and bowed to him, "Thank you, Emperor." He said happily.

"But!" Solomon added, "You have to let Yugi come back to Japan whenever he want, and you have to protect Yugi".

Atem smiled, "Don't worry, we all would make sure that Yugi stay safe." He promised, "As he is your treasure, Yugi is also our precious treasure." He smiled warmly at Yugi, "Whoever harming Yugi would like stating that they have death wish, for Yugi is not only like my own son already, but also Akefia's Son".

"Akefia?" Solomon raised an eyebrow.

Atem gestured for Akefia, "Akefia is my new High Priest, he was the one who saved Yugi and took care of him before I meet Yugi 6 months ago." He explained.

"Huh?" Ryo looked at Akefia for a long time before clapping his hands, "Ah, I remember now, you were the thief King, weren't you?" he asked with a smile, "No wonder I feel as if I had seen you before".

"Thief King?!" Solomon and Maya gasped in shock.

"Indeed." Akefia nodded, "Before I become a High Priest, I was the Thief King, so people would know not to mess with Yugi unless they want to die." He smirked.

"Papa." Yugi called, "You promised me not to kill." He said in scolding manner.

Akefia grinned at Yugi, "If not necessary, right?" he retorted, still grinning, "If they hurt you then they would committing treason, and the punishment is death." His grin turned wicked, "If they are traitor then I can kill them!" he said before he laughed creepily at the idea.

Solomon, Maya, Jono and Ryo all take a step back from the laughing man.

"You like to kill so much." Yugi and Marik commented together.

"As if you can talk, ex-Assassin Marik." Malik scold the Assassin turned General.

Atem, Yugi, Seth and Isis laughed at that while Marik blushed, Akefia stopped laughing and smirking at Marik instead. On the other hand, Solomon and his 3 Grandchildren sweat dropped and staring at the ex-Thief King and ex-Assassin with wide blinking eyes.

The very next day, Atem gathered his people from the nearby village to the front of the Palace, he stood on the balcony above the entrance wearing a big smile. "My people!" Atem called out, "Today I will make an announcement, one that will make you happy".

"Are you ready, Yugi?" Akefia asked from beside the door to the balcony, Yugi nodded so he nodded back, "Good, now, go to the Pharaoh." He said as he lightly pushed the boy to the Pharaoh's direction.

Atem looked back and offered his hand to Yugi, Yugi accepted the hand and Atem lifted Yugi to his arms before facing the crowd again, "Today I will announce to you all that I will adopt this boy as my Son! From today onward, this boy is my Son, The Prince of Egypt, Yugi!" Atem announce proudly, answered by cheers of happiness from the people.

Akefia was smiling at them, happy that Yugi is now the Prince of Egypt, but his smile vanish when he saw something glinting in the distant. He squinting his eyes to see what it was before gasping when he recognized it, "Pharaoh!" he yelled as he running forward.

Atem was on guard in an instant, he looked around to see what caused Akefia to be yelling in alarm, and when he saw the cause, he was nearly to late because a figure in the distant already shot their arrow and aiming at Yugi. He didn't have time, so Atem pulled Yugi back and turning around so that the arrow pierced him instead of Yugi, fortunately, the arrow only pierced his left shoulder and not somewhere vital.

"Guards!" Seth called out as he approached his Cousin, Akefia was also there in an instant and looked around.

"Marik!" Akefia yelled and pointing at the direction he saw the figure earlier, "Get them! Don't let them get away!".

Marik nodded and turning to run immediately, but he noticed another glint in the distant, from a different direction. He turned around in horror, "Akefia! Yugi!" he warned but he was too late, the arrow pierced through Yugi's stomach on the right side, making the boy to crying out loud.

"Yugi!" Everyone gasped, Jono growled in anger and looked around for the culprit.

"Rue!" Jono called out his Ka, a massive Black Dragon appeared behind him.

"White Dragon!" Kisara, who was standing beside Seth, called out her own Ka.

The two massive Dragon roared before their Master told them to catch the culprits.

"Isis!" Atem yelled, "Help Yugi, hurry!" he ordered.

Isis nodded and looked at Akefia, Akefia nodded and they run to the Healing Chamber as fast as they could with Yugi in Akefia's arms. Solomon, Maya and Ryo followed after them.

"Pharaoh." Seth called as he help his Cousin to stand, "You need to at least stop the bleeding first".

Atem nodded, "Don't let them get away." He growled out in anger.

Seth nodded, "Don't worry, I will make sure we get them." He assured before turning to Mahad, "Mahad, help the Pharaoh to the Healing Chamber".

Mahad nodded and helped the Pharaoh to walk while Seth looked around to see if there's another of them, once Jono and Kisara's Dragons caught the two archers, he told the people to get back to their home because they all had gone rigid from the fear during the attack towards the Pharaoh and Yugi.

'Throw them to the dungeon!" Marik ordered the guards when the Dragons dropped the culprits to the balcony, the guards captured them immediately and took them to the dungeon.

Once the situation get under control, Seth, Marik, Jono and Kisara all headed to the Healing Chamber. Atem's shoulder was already treated by Mahad, he was sitting on the floor next the door to the Healing Chamber, Malik, Mahad and the Japanese Royals all beside him. "How is Yugi?" Marik asked as they stopped across the door to the Healing chambers.

"Isis and Akefia are still inside." Atem answered with a pale face, he had lose so much blood and was worrying about Yugi.

"Your wound?" Seth asked.

Atem looked at his shoulder, "Mahad had stop the bleeding, as long as I don't moved it that much, it's going to be alright." He answered before looking at the door, "But I'm worried about Yugi".

"But Yugi is a Vampire, right?" Kisara asked in worry, "Surely he would be alright?".

Atem sighed, "We couldn't be sure, the arrow was made from Silver, we all know that Vampire is weak against Silver." He explained.

"Silver?!" Jono gasped in shock and horror, Atem nodded, Jono inhaled deeply as he looked at the door before looking at Ryo, "How about Luca? Couldn't she heal him?" he asked.

Ryo shook his head, "Mystical Elf's power is considered Holy, Yugi is a Vampire and his Vampire Magic is opposing Luca's Magic, it's useless." He answered sadly.

Jono sighed in worry, "I hope he's going to be okay." He said softly.

"Don't worry." Malik said to him, "Yugi is strong, I saw his strength myself, I'm sure he will be alright." He looked at the door calmly, "And Sister is the best healer in Egypt, she won't let anything happen to Yugi".

"Not to mention Akefia was once the Thief King." Marik agreed with a nod, he smiled at Jono, "He know how to treat wound even without the proper tools, I'm sure that he would come out soon with a good news".

"I'm glad that you trust me that much, Marik." Akefia said as he opened the door, Atem and the rest all stood up and looking at him expectantly. He smiled, "Yugi is going to be alright." He said calmly, "His wound might not be able to heal instantly, but we managed to stop the bleeding. As long as he got enough rest, he will be fully healed in, more or less, a week or two".

Everyone sighed in relief while Malik and Marik grinned at the news, Akefia then walking away, "Where are you going?" Atem asked him.

Akefia looked back at the Pharaoh with cold expression and his eyes become dark grey that promising the most pain to whoever opposed him, the sight alone was enough to sent shiver to everyone's spine. Marik excluded since he was used to the sight, instead, he was grinning madly. "Having some fun with those bastards." Akefia said coldly before turning away and continue walking.

"Wh, what's happened?" Isis asked as she walked out from the Healing Chamber, only to see Marik grinning his insane grin while the rest pale as the wall.

Marik grinned at her, still with the same insane grin, "Akefia went to the dungeon to have fun with those bastards." He answered cheerfully, "Surely we would hear some screaming for a long time soon".

Isis paled, "He is going to torture them?" she asked in fear. That's the first time she ever fearing Akefia, and also for the first time she thought of him as the Thief King, because normally Akefia was tamed by Yugi.

"Yup!" Marik's grin widened, "And he would get us some information from them, two birds with one stone!" his turned around and start walking to the dungeon, "Ah, I hope he would let me join the fun".

"Marik, you are scary." Malik said to try and stopping him.

Marik turned to Malik, "Sorry, Malik." He smiled, "But those morons hurting Atem and Yugi, surely they have death wish, so just let me have my fun with them." He chuckled darkly and started walking again, "No one mess with me and Akefia, those people should prepare for the consequence when they decided to attack Yugi and Atem." After saying that, Marik took off running to the dungeon.

Malik sighed sadly, "He is in the Assassin Mode again." He said with a grimace.
