Responses to questions and statements:

-Edboy4926: If you are asking whether or not I'll be making this story into a crossover with Stargate, I'm sorry to say but no. I apologize but I never watched Stargate so I'll probably won't be adding it. Apologies for that.

-Krieger Techpriest: The rebirth of America has just begun (Plays United States nation anthem and salutes American flag).

-John999: Thank you. As for your suggestions, I have been thinking on adding other groups like Big Mountain, the Institute, other vaults, etc. Though, I'm still thinking whether or not I will do it and how to implement them into the story.

-SRPA Sentinel: It may take a while, but they'll get there. The greatest nation on Earth will rise again! God bless America!

-Victorius 435: I have read Fallout: Dominion and watched the Enclave Reborn mod for Hearts of Iron IV. I may be using those stories as inspiration for this, though I can't say for certain.

-Kubson: Thank you very much! Hope you like this chapter.

-Scyfly: Well, like I said; the length of the story doesn't really matter to me.

-frankieu: Thank you. Thomas will probably reveal to someone he's an AI supercomputer in the future, though probably not for a while.

-TOPCAT-59: The Institute and Mr. House will most likely make an appearance later. Those are two groups that Eden would definitely want under his control or at the very least allied with.

-Dragonboy08: Eden will most likely have the Enclave secure and occupy these places you've mentioned.

-As for the robots designs, I have three main ideas on which ones I want to add into the story. I'm thinking of having either the Spectres from Titanfall, the bots from Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, or the Combine Overwatch soldiers from Half-Life 2 and Half-Life: Alyx. If you want, let me know which one you would prefer and if you have any other suggestions.

-G silently: I may include flashbacks on the MC first meeting with the Enclave in a later chapter. Though, I will show him interacting with other factions later down the road.

-Gwynx: I do have some ideas on what kind of body the MC may inhabit in the future, though I'm still thinking on it.

Now that that's out of the way, onto the story!

Chapter 2

(Location: USNORTHCOM Alternate Command Center, AKA Cheyenne Mountain Complex)

The underground facility that was once designated as North American Air Defense Command (NORAD), otherwise known as the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, was now buzzing with activity as it's nuclear core and main power generators roared to life for the first time in two hundred years. The hallways and rooms that were once only patrolled by automatons that served as its security force just a few days ago were now occupied by humans, doing a wide variety of tasks such as settling into their new home, moving supplies and machinery, or working on powering up equipment and sections of the base that've been offline for decades.

Once the Enclave cleaned the place up by sweeping away the accumulated dust and turned on the air filtration systems, they began working on restarting the equipment and gear left inside. A task that was easier said than done as most of it was suffering from centuries of neglect and wear. Still... if there was anyone in the wasteland that was best suited for this task, it was the Enclave. After all, they had access to technology and knowledge that even factions like the Brotherhood of Steel and the inhabitants of Vault City didn't possess. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that they were making steady- albeit slow- progress.

The cargo variant of the VB-02s helped to maintain a steady flow of supplies and materials into the base as they touched down in the complex's hangar bays, offloading their cargo before taking off and heading back to where they came from. Surprising, when the Enclave had first arrived; they even found a few ancient VB-01s which resided in the hangars that at first glance looked to still be operational. Unfortunately, it was yet to be confirmed if they really were functional as they haven't had a maintenance check yet; reason being that the personnel to do so couldn't be spared, as there were too many things to do and it wasn't considered to be a high priority.

The enormous underground installation was comprised of four sections which were labeled as 1-4 with subsections in each one, which could be seen thanks to the blueprints President Eden sent them. An item of great help as the complex was massive as well as a labyrinth of corridors and rooms that ran all the way throughout the mountain, if the Enclave weren't already in possession of the plans, it would've taken at least a week to completely map out the bunker; not to mention that it was easy to get lost as most of the maps that were placed on walls to help the staff navigate has become so worn down that they were pretty much unreadable. The old maps were torn down and replaced with copies of the floor plans where placed at every intersection with signs hanging from the ceiling and direction arrows were given a fresh coat of paint to make them more clear.

Sector 1 was the control section where the command room was located. It was here where they would administrate the rest of the installation, manage communications, and oversee and coordinate operations. The area was massive with rows of computer stations with telephones that were connected to various command and control systems. It also housed the main communications center along with the central mainframe and database along with a war and conference room. As such, it was considered to be the most important sector in the entire facility and maintained a higher level of security than the rest as it had numerous checkpoints and security stations at every entry point leading into it.

Sector 2 would be where the base's personnel will take up residence as it was labeled as the "living quarters". The district was well equipped and stocked as it came with a kitchen with food synthesizers , a large gymnasium, lounges, a few recreational rooms, lavatories, medical facilities, a couple of firing ranges, and living quarters for the staff as well as a barracks. There was also an underground reservoir connected to the dining hall that contain clean drinking water that was extracted through hydro pumps and transported through the connected water pipes. A bar was even installed a mere two days after the Enclave arrived, which came as no surprise to anyone as it was inevitable.

Sector 3 was where the laboratories and storage areas lied. In this quadrant, there were massive stockpiles of pre-war military gear and hardware - Main Battle Tanks, Armored Personnel Carriers, Infantry Fighting Vehicles, field artillery, transport trucks, Humvees, stashes of weapons and ammo, etc. Not to mention enough food and supplies to last for quite some time. Additionally, stores of T-45, T-51b, and T-60 power armor were preserved in almost near perfect condition. While it was undoubtedly inferior to the Enclave's APA Mark One and Mark Two sets, it still remained a formidable weapon to anyone in the wasteland who had the unfortunate luck of meeting someone who was both trained to operate and in possession of one. The order was given by president Eden to start bring them back up to operational standards to supplement the shortage of the APA series. At the moment they managed to bring twelve suits of armor back into service with more coming back online with each passing day.

The final area, sector 4, was the deepest part of the facility as it was located right underneath the central elevator shaft. It housed the nuclear reactor along with the main and backup power generators; in addition to the necessary facilities to control and maintain them. Thankfully, the Enclave's Atomic Energy Commission had confirmed that the reactor was safe and wasn't in danger of leaking radiation. The latter was the reason why the atomic furnace had it's own section and placed away from the rest of the base staff; if it began releasing radiation it could be closed off from the rest of the complex and prevent dangerous levels of exposure from spreading throughout the base.

Rail carts and automated monorails were used to transport materials and personnel to every floor and section of the complex, which were thankfully still operable after they restarted the nuclear generator and restored power to the bunker. The maintenance crews only had to make a few updates to the carts to ensure they worked smoothly after they finished the initial diagnostics. These lines were running daily, carrying Enclave personnel and materials, as they were the fastest way to traverse the complex.

Major Nathan Talbot, acting commander of the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, was sipping on his morning cup of coffee as he gazed down at the atrium through the window of the command center that overlooked the large room. Observing the fresh batch of Enclave personnel from both the civilian and military departments as they were cycled through the airlock before making their way to the checkpoint that led to the main entrance. Crates of supplies, equipment, and machinery that were transported here from Camp Navarro were hauled inside by forklifts and personnel in T-51b power armor before they were loaded onto the monorails and strapped down to make sure they were secure, before they were taken to one of the four zones. Guards maintained order as the new arrivals were slowly admitted through, along with a few protectrons that were placed in rest mode at the nearby charging stations as backup. A few soldiers were wearing Enclave combat armor with H&K G11 Laser rifles, while the rest were just equipped with the standard Battle Dress Uniform with a patrol cap and carried Wattz 1000 laser pistols that were placed in their sidearm holsters that was attached to one of their thighs.

He, along with a company sized force of around a hundred GIs, were among the first batch of Enclave personnel that were sent to the installation by Colonel Packard after the initial team gave the all clear. His orders were to set up defenses and bring the complex back up to operational standards.

Talbot had begun by setting up checkpoints on the outer perimeter staffed by squads of his men outfitted in Mark One APA along with a few of the bases protectrons, and advance sentry bots armed with laser weaponry. Additionally, he had a few teams assigned to him from the Army Corps of Engineers begin setting up fortified hardpoints, minefields, designated killzones manned by hidden machine gun nests with overlapping fields of fire which housed automated defense turrets, along with sniper dens and observation posts from elevated positions hidden from sight. Motion sensors were placed at the base's entrances along with the entry codes being changed as they haven't been updated in centuries.

The chain-linked fence that surrounded the mountain was repaired with barbed wire added to hinder anyone that tried to climb over. Guard towers and security checkpoints were constructed at key locations leading to the mountain with sentries standing guard as soldiers patrolled the perimeter along with the base's assaultrons and sentry bots. Thanks to the facility being remote as well as having been lost to history over the passage of time, they've had yet to come into contact with any hostile groups or wildlife.

A full platoon of troops in APA Mark One was stationed just outside the main entrance, with a reinforced steel door that was designed to withstand a low-yield tactical nuke with a newly installed energy barrier right behind it. Behind that, was a pathway laced with laser grids and automatic sentry turrets capable of killing any intruder that somehow made it pass the initial defenses, turning the hallway into a fatal funnel any invading enemy force.

The new base was growing rapidly as new personnel arrived each day. Three new landing pads have already been built which increased the stream of machinery and equipment that helped to expand the installation. All in all, this was a lot of work done for only one mere week.

Then again, it was probably why Talbot was assigned as temporary commander of the complex by the president himself, as he was skilled in admin and logistic duties.

Turning his gaze away from the atrium, he took another sip of his coffee before walking to the head technician responsible for accessing the network, who was sitting down at one of the many computer stations and typing away at the keyboard. He was also Nathan's best friend growing up so the two men got along pretty well.

"So, what do we have here?" He inquired as he leaned on the side of the console.

"We have the locations of various military and government facilities across the U.S like Air defense sites, HQs, missile silos, radar grids, storages depots..." The technician informed his commanding officer as he pulled up a projection of a map of the continental United States. "All links are long gone but the ones that light up were still operational for a time after the bombs dropped."

"Is any of it actually useful?"

"Perhaps, some of these sites contained some valuable tech according to the records and it looks like some missile silos are still functional, though I can't be certain. I've already sent the data to the analysts."

"Nice," Talbot commended. "What about the manifest for the storerooms?"

"Yes, sir." The technician replied with a nod. "We've already sent a copy of the report to Navarro."

"Good." He said before changing the subject. "What about our comms array?"

"The techs say they should be able to bring it back online in a few days. Once the dish is in position, we'll have a stable and clear line with Navarro and Raven Rock."

"Excellent work, Doug." He praised as he finished his cup of coffee. "I'm going to go give the safety brief to the newcomers. Let me know if there's anything that needs my attention."

"You got it, Nathan."

(Location: Raven Rock, Washington D.C)

Not saying it out loud, as he didn't want to jinx himself, Thomas thought things were going alright so far. At the moment, there was no radio chatter about either him or the Enclave on the radio channels Eden monitored and they had accomplished most of their objectives without much error. The salvage teams he sent to various sites where able to transport the loot to Navarro and Cheyenne and according to his analyses of Enclave comms chatter, it looked as though most were satisfied with his leadership at the moment.

If everything went according to plan, the Enclave should be able to make a complete transition to the Washington D.C in about four years time, with the first group of Vertibirds arriving in two, which was scheduled to carry Autumn Senior and a few others in the Enclave High Command where they would meet him at the Raven Rock bunker.

Despite trying to put it to the side, Thomas did have to wonder how the Enclave would react to him being a machine, or more specifically an A.I supercomputer built before the nuclear war.

Eden couldn't help but be a little worried for the inevitable face-to-face meeting with Autumn Senior and the rest of the Enclave High Command, as he had no idea how the initial meeting between them in the Fallout games actually went. All he knew was that it was most likely that Eden appeared as a machine to the Enclave, at least to Autumn senior.

Therefore, he figured it was safe to assume that this version of Autumn senior would be accepting of Thomas in his current form, much like how the original did. At least, that's what he hoped.

Still, Eden figured that he should at least make some preparations before the conformation so that it would help to ease the revelation so it doesn't harm the loyalty he had already earned.

Thomas realized that it would probably help if he presenting himself in a humanoid form, or at least something as close as possible as his logic processors determined that it would make him appear as more akin to a human, thus making him more trustworthy in their eyes; at least that was the analysis said. Unfortunately, the eyebots he had dispatched as scouts to the Commonwealth, especially the Boston area, had yet to come across a Gen-1 synth. Leaving him without one to establish a connection with which would make the initial encounter easier, even if was only by a marginal amount.

At the moment, all they found were a few settlements scattered all over the Boston region which included Diamond city and Goodneighbor. However, what really peaked his interest was something that one of eyebots found that was assigned to look for a specific objective, something that had the potential to become a valuable asset to him, if Thomas played his cards right and was careful: Vault 111, right where he remembered it was at the start of Fallout 4 in Sanctuary Hills. He had ordered the eyebot to begin searching for a way inside the vault before moving onto other matters.

Coming back to the future meeting with Autumn senior and rest of Enclave's leadership, it appears that he would have to appear to them the same way as John Henry Eden did in the original timeline; as a monitor attached to the mainframe of a ZAX supercomputer.

Making a mental note in his mechanical head, Thomas would need to divert more processing power to create a solution to this dilemma as well as task a server or two to iron out the details. This was too important to fail as it had the potential to cause massive disruption in his goals.

He supposed it was fortunate that he had an algorithm that was able to do most of the talking and interaction for him, only needing him to add his input and set the parameters whenever he booted it up

Words could not describe how happy Thomas was for having this feature as his own social skills could best be described as...sub-optimal...if he was being generous, he would be lying if he said he was a charismatic individual capable of speaking to crowds of people on a stage.

In his previous life, Thomas was not exactly a social person even with his own parents. Sure, he was capable of having a short conversation or two each day but if he could, he would keep to himself and prefer to be alone. He had never really liked going out either and whenever he went any kind of social convention, he would do so with a bit of reluctance and didn't really say anything during the event. Suffice to say, these weren't exactly helpful traits for a leader of any kind of group or organization to have.

The AI was starting to wish he paid more attention to what his dad said when he was younger. As he didn't really listen during those lectures.

"Oh...Dad..." Thomas though to himself as a combination of sadness, worry, regret and self-loathing began growing inside him as began reminiscing on events that happened in his first life.

Thomas soon became so deeply lost in thought that everything else became static noise in the background, if he was still organic or even capable of doing so, his eyes would've started watering by now as his depression came back in full spring. Despite a part of him knowing that it was probably foolish, he found himself not caring in the slightest as he hoped that somehow they were able to hear him when he started speaking a few moments later, despite the unlikelihood of it. Either way, he hoped this would at least give him closure from what happened.

"I-I hope you and mom are doing alright, wherever the two of you are now. I miss you guys and I hope you do too. I...I'm really sorry, for...what... you know what I mean. Please don't blame yourselves for what happened, it wasn't your fault and I spent a lot of time thinking on it and I believe it was the right call. I hope you don't resent me for it, it'll be better for everyone in the long term.

Take care of yourself, Dad, and...thanks. For everything."

That's it for the chapter, hope you guys enjoyed it. As always, thank you all for taking the time to read my story.

So, I've been considering of adding elements from other franchises into this story like Metro, Call of Duty, Half-Life, etc. Would you guys be alright with that?

Anyway, that's it for now. Have a good day and remember... stay frosty, gents.
