Tris's P.O.V.

Sami and Four soon entered the dining hall, Four's arm slung around her shoulder. Sami's eyes were reddish, giving off the impression that she had been crying. Nonetheless she was smiling her usual wide smile as she walked in with Four. Her eyes met mine, and I smiled at her. She smiled back at me, sitting down on my left side. Four went to go elsewhere to another table.

"So, how did things go... Between you and Four?" I asked. Sami furrowed her brow.

"Nothing happened. He just... He just rambled and then told me it was time for dinner." She said, cutting in to the piece of chicken on her plate. I smiled as I noticed how she had picked Abnegation food as well.

"You're from Abnegation?" I asked.

"No..." She replied slowly, giving me an odd look. "I wasn't born here, I was-" she stopped mid-sentence and dropped her fork on her plate. A smile even bigger than usual spread across her face. When I looked to see what her attention was focused on, I saw two very tall boys, one with strikingly blonde hair, and the other with brown hair. A taller girl stood next to the brown haired boy, and she mirrored the image of the blonde boy. Sami shot up out of her seat and rushed up to them. They all stood out amongst the other Dauntless. They wore colors that were bright and unnatural for Dauntless to wear.

The blonde boy, seeing Sami, had a huge smile plastered on his face. He wrapped his arms around her as she approached him. I was utterly confused. And judged by the silence of the hall, so was everyone else.

Cypress's P.O.V.

My eyes had locked with Sami's the instant we entered the room. Her eyes lit up, and I could see Joe straighten up from beside me. He encased his arms around Sami. He spun around, her legs spinning out behind her. He set her down, still not letting her out of the hug.

"Oh my god Sami, are you okay?" He asked, the sound muffled from her hair.

"Fine. Just fine Joe." She smiled. Joe let go of her momentarily before passing her to me for a hug. She smiled at me. "My god what took you guys so long to find me?" She asked.

"Dad hadn't left the house until today." I said, wrapping my arms around her for a quick hug.

"Oh guys! Come here," she said, grabbing Joe's wrist and leading us over to a table. I followed, unknowing that things could only go downhill from here. People were staring at us, and it made me uncomfortable. I didn't know if Frank or Joe noticed, but I knew I did. "Guys, this is one of my friends here." Sami smiled.

The girl waved at us, smiling. "Hi," She said. I nodded at her, Joe just smiled and Frank took it upon himself to introduce us all to her.

"Hello. I'm Frank Hardy, this is my brother Joe, and my little sister Cypress, and you obviously know Sami." He smiled. The minute he said the word Hardy, people were surrounding us. One guy tapped Frank's shoulder.

"You related to that Fenton Hardy guy?" he asked.

"Yes why?" Frank replied. That landed him a punch in the face. The punch landed right on Frank's jawline, sending him stumbling back some. Joe's eyes filled with rage as he noticed blood coming from Frank's face somewhere. Joe turned towards the guy.

"You shit head, why'd you punch him? Our dad lock you up for some rediculous stunt too?" Joe yelled. He threw a few punches at the guy's face, getting one on the guy's cheek and another near his eye. That pretty much turned the entire room into a riot. I could see one person standing off to the side, not bothering to do anything about it. He just leaned against the wall, laughing silently to himself. I noticed another person, who wasn't in the fight, walking right towards us. Sami had started fighting when she saw Joe fall to the ground. This person pulled Sami off of the boy she was on top of and yelled to shut everyone up.

"Shut up!" He yelled. Silence immediately fell over the room. "Just because they're related to Hardy doesn't mean we can treat them like shit!" Sami looked up at him. I noticed that she had blood streaming down her chin and some good bruises on her arms. Her jeans were cut and she'd somehow managed to get a cut all the way from her temple to her upper lip. The person glared at her and she sat down at the nearest table.

"Now! Everyone go back to what you were doing before and mind your own business." He yelled.

"Thanks, Four," Sami smiled. I snatched a napkin from the table and tried to wipe it along the cut on her face to clean out the blood, but she jerked away.

"Sam, it's only water. It won't sting." I reminded her. She rolled her eyes and allowed me to clean out her cuts a bit. She winced as I cleaned off the one that ran down the side of her face.

"So you're Hardy's kids, huh?" The girl next to Sami asked.

"Yeah," Joe said. "What's it to ya? You gonna beat me up some more?"

"No," she said, taken aback. "I'm Tris."

"Joe," he said.

"That's enough Cypress. It's fine." Sami said. She shoved my hand away from her face and glowered at me.

"Sam, why are you here?" Joe asked suddenly. Sami took in a breath rapidly. She let it out after a while.

"She came here." Tris said for her.

"No she didn't. I know she didn't." Frank said.

"She ran away. She was wondering the streets of New York. She said that she had to drop some stuff off at her friend's house, but her bluff was horrible. I knew she was lying." Four said. Sami gave him the ever so famous death glare. They held each other's gaze for a while, until Sami slumped back in her chair, obviously in defeat.

"Why did you run away?" Joe asked. He was concerned. I could tell.

"I was tired of it all. I was tired of everything."

"And New York? Really?" Frank said.

"Yes."

"Well you're coming home. Now." Joe said, wrapping his arm around her.

"No. I'm not going home." Sami snapped. "I'm staying here."

"Sam-"

"No," I said. "If she wants to stay here, she can stay. But we will stay too."
