The Prisoner and The Paper Planes

Epilogue

((Katyusha's POV))

I opened my eyes. The First thing I saw was that I was staring at the blue sky. It was unbelievably blue. A blue I hadn't seen but one place, and that would be Alfred's eyes.

"Hey, Are you gonna lay there all day,Missy?"I heard a familiar voice call.

I quickly turned my head to the side to see Alfred holding his hand out to me,smiling.

"A-Alfred..? H-How..?"I asked.

"You shouldn't worry about that now,Kat..we're free now.."he said.

Tears of happiness filled my eyes as I got up and nearly tackled him in a hug. He was warm, yet he had a firm grip on me, like he was afraid that I would disappear if he let go. Which, to tell the truth, I don't blame him. I was holding onto him too for dear life.

How was this even possible? We died, right? How could we both be here, right now? Wait...how did I know that he died..?

"You know because you're dead too.."he said.

"H-How did you know what I was thinking?"I asked.

He smiled.

"I can hear your thoughts.."he said.

"Oh..."I replied.

"Come on, we should get going.."he said, getting up.

I got up with him and he started leading me to a white light ahead of us.

"I love you,Alfred.."I said.

"I love you too,Katyusha.."he replied,kissing my cheek.

Then we walked into the light, holding each other's hands as we would do for all eternity, just like we were meant to do. But, we made sure to leave one thing behind for a couple of years from now.

A FEW YEARS LATER

"I never thought we would come back to this place.." a Danish man said.

"I didn't think so either.."a German accent replied.

"Oh,shush you two, you two wanted to see this place again.."came from an voice sounding a bit Irish.

The group of people stood there, staring at the entrance of the camp before going in. All three of them were prisoners at this camp in their younger days. It's been 6 years since then.

The year was now 2056.

Six years. Six years of them trying to forget what cruelties that happened at the camp. Especially to their friend Alfred.

"I should of did something.."one of them said."I was there when he was taken away.."

"Don't blame yourself,Gilbert, you couldn't of done anything..."the Irish girl replied.

"Thanks Aednat.."Gilbert replied.

"Anyway, this place got what it deserved, didn't it?'the Danish man asked.

"Yeah it did,Mathias...a good ole fashion rot.."Gilbert replied.

The trio stayed near each other as they walked through the camp. Eventually, they came to the back way where a certain boy used to meet with his girl.

"Hey, look!"Aednat said, pointing near the fence.

And there, lodged right into the fence, was a paper plane. Aednat ran over to it and pulled it out, unfolding it and reading it. Her eyes went wide as she called over Gilbert and Mathias to come read the letter.

What the letter said shocked everyone...

"To who it may concern,

I don't regret my actions. No, not one bit. We loved each other. It seems like it was like a different version of Romeo and Juliet, minus some things..but all I know..is that we love each other very much. Not even death has managed to split us apart, for you see, deep darkness might of ripped us apart, but deep darkness brought us together again. Because we were there for each other, we could always keep smiling through all the days of pain. So, we'll see each other tomorrow, but don't worry, we know exactly where to meet...
