Recap:
Germany 1942...
Steve was literally upset that he was merely being used as a publicity stunt for the war bonds. He had enlisted to fight in the war and he definitely wanted to go after those who killed the doctor that gave him the gift of the super soldier serum.
However, when he heard about his best friend, James 'Bucky' Barnes and his company; he immediately wanted to go rescue them; but Phillips wouldn't hear of it.
Phoenix and Peggy had heard the entire conversation between Captain Rogers and Colonel Phillips. They both knew how determined Steve was going to be in order to rescue those men especially Sargent Barnes because he was like a brother to Steve.
Peggy had grabbed a helmet for Steve because he would be going to the frontlines and possibly into enemy territory.
Phoenix and Howard were there waiting for them and they all boarded Howard's plane.
Meanwhile, Steve was sort of arguing with Phoenix about her coming with him into battle.
Peggy and Howard could hear it and to them; Steve and Phoenix almost sounded like lovers having a quarrel with one another or a brother and a sister quarreling.
However, Peggy and Howard decided to make a secret bet between themselves about the type of relationship that Steve and Phoenix will have developed between them. Howard decided to bet that it will be a sibling like bond between Steve and Phoenix; while Peggy decided to bet that it would be a romantic relationship between Steve and Phoenix.
"Phoenix, you're not coming with me!" Steve said.
"I am coming with you, Captain because there could possibly be some witches and wizards there as well that were captured or part of the enemy and you have no way of fighting some of the magic that they could do!" Phoenix said.
Steve huffed because he knew that Phoenix was right if the first encounter with wizards especially the one that Phoenix very much disliked. However, he just felt like he wanted her safe regardless.
Moments later, both Steve and Phoenix found themselves in a plane with Howard flying the plane. Phoenix smiled a little bit and relaxed a bit.
"You smiled?" Peggy said suddenly while staring at Phoenix.
"Well, my father and I always fly together. So, you could say that this reminds me of those times." Phoenix stated.
"Did your teach you how to fly a plane?" Howard asked.
"It wasn't a plane that we were flying in. It was a suit design that we were flying in that he created." Phoenix answered.
Steve scoffed a bit at that.
Phoenix turned towards Steve and said, "People dream, Captain but my father did the impossible like his father before him and trust me, Captain when I say this my father is a great man regardless of acting like a big child. Basically, what I am saying Captain, is that I love my father for who is and because he's a CEO of his own company or because he's a Billionaire."
Back in the future...
The Stark Expo had went out with bang but wasn't how Tony had wanted to; but he recalled that Phoenix had once told him which was, 'Sometimes things don't always go the way you plan' and she had been right on several occasions.
Tony was now sitting in a robe after his birthday celebration with half of his Malibu home was in ruins because of Rhodey.
"Stark, we managed to save pictures of that you seem really proud of." Phil said.
"Thanks, Agent." Tony said.
"If you don't mind me asking, who is the fourteen year old?" Phil asked.
"In that picture, she's fifteen and she's my goddaughter who had finally got to meet in London." Tony said.
"Your goddaughter?" Phil questioned.
"Yes, she contacted me after her other godfather from England was murdered by his deranged cousin." Tony stated.
"Where are her parents?" Natasha questioned.
"Her parents were killed by a mad man when she was only a year old." Tony said.
Phil, Fury, and Natasha were stunned to hear this.
"Then who were her guardian or guardians at the time?" Fury asked curiously.
"Her former guardians went to jail for child abuse and neglect." Tony stated.
"But that doesn't explain anything?" Natasha said.
"You see, I was contacted by my goddaughter before her sixteenth birthday to go over some legal things." Tony said.
"Are you saying that you had custody of your goddaughter when you were kidnapped?" Phil questioned looking at Tony.
"I gained custody of her when she was sixteen but before her parents untimely passing; they always sent me pictures of her. When the pictures stopped coming; I had assumed that they may have decided to sending them. Until my goddaughter told me what had happened." Tony said.
Back in Germany 1942...
Steve and Phoenix had just jumped from Stark's plane and landed behind enemy lines.
"Let's go, Phoenix and stay close." Steve said.
"I'm on your six, Captain." Phoenix said with a smile.
Steve and Phoenix made their way towards the enemy base in which Sargent Barnes and company unit 107 along with others were probably being held.
Once inside, Steve and Phoenix stealthy searched the enemy base for their friends as well as their allies from the Magical Community.
After several minutes; chaos broke out and things were going up in flames. Steve managed to find Bucky's company and got them out then he went to search for Bucky.
Meanwhile, Phoenix had found the Magical allies that were captured and Charlus Potter and Newt Scamander were among them as well.
"Phoenix, what are you doing here?" Charlus whispered.
"Believe it or not, I'm not alone. I am with Captain America aka Captain Steve Rogers. His best friend and the company 107 are here as well. I made a point to come with him." Phoenix stated.
"But how?" Newt questioned.
"We jumped from a plane and landed where the enemy couldn't see us." Phoenix said, "We'll meet up with the Captain."
Charlus and Newt nodded as they helped Phoenix free the others.
The freed wizards followed Charlus and Newt who were following a woman of all things.
Suddenly, Phoenix heard, "Are you Phoenix?"
Phoenix turned to see several men staring at her and said, "Yes and who are you?"
"Sargent James Barnes, ma'am." James said.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you, Sargent Barnes and why do I feel that the Captain is doing something completely crazy?" Phoenix said.
"That's Steve for you, ma'am. He thinks about everyone else." James said.
"Well, Sargent Barnes, I can tell you that when the Captain rejoins us; I'm not sure whether I'll scream at him or kiss him." Phoenix said sarcastically.
Sargent Barnes, Charlus, Newt, and the others were surprised by what Phoenix had just said.
"Was she being serious or was she being sarcastic, Sargent Barnes?" Someone asked curiously.
"I think she might have been both." James stated.
Several hours later, Phoenix and Steve were marching with the men that they had rescued back to base camp.
Back at Base camp...
Colonel Phillips was talking with Agent Carter and Howard Stark since he had found out about what they did in the cover of darkness. Not to mention, he was also having to deal with these magicals.
Suddenly, a soldier came running in and said, "Sir, you better come and see this."
"What is it, soldier?" Phillips asked curiously.
"I think it's the Captain and and Agent Phoenix!" The soldier stated.
Phillips, Peggy, and Howard were followed by the magicals and they all were stunned to see soldiers and wizards marching side by side with Captain America and Phoenix in front of them.
The wizards were shocked to see a woman standing beside a blonde headed soldier as they entered the base and the soldiers were cheering the blonde haired soldier and the woman.
Dumbledore walked up towards the woman and say something when her fist went flying right at his jaw causing Bucky and others to gap in shock except for Steve, Colonel Phillips, Howard Stark, and Peggy Carter.
Steve sighed and said, "When will that Dumbledore guy learn that Phoenix doesn't like him or like him around her at all."
"He probably won't learn." Peggy said.
"That make what...four times now that she's punch him in the jaw?" Phillips said.
"To be technical, she punched him three times in the jaw in England and now, one time while here in Germany." Howard said.
"To me, it's still the fourth time, regardless." Phillips said.
Then they watched as Phoenix walked off and Steve decided to follow her which led to Charlus, Newt, Howard, Peggy, and Bucky to follow after them.
Somewhere with in the camp...
"Phoenix?" Steve said concerned looking for Phoenix.
"I'm over here, Captain." Phoenix said.
Steve walked over to where he had heard her voice and said, "Phoenix, I know and that you and I sort of don't get along at the moment but I would like to try and be your friend."
"Do you honestly mean that, Captain Steven Grant Rogers?" Phoenix asked curiously.
"I'm not going to ask how you knew that my middle name was Grant, Phoenix. However, I am concerned right now because every time that Dumbledore guy comes around he seems to make you upset that it wouldn't surprise me if you broke his jaw this time." Steve stated.
Phoenix chuckled and said, " He's too nosy and can't leave well enough alone. He's curious about the necklace that my father created for me on sixteenth birthday. My father designed it as a tracking device in case someone kidnapped me. It's also this first thing that he created that was combined with magic and techology."
Charlus and Newt felt a privacy barrier being put and they along with Howard, Bucky, and Peggy were included to be covered in the barrier as well.
"Phoenix, do you remember when we met that you said that Howard may have already figured out where you were from?" Steve questioned.
Phoenix nodded.
"What did you mean by that?" Steve asked.
Phoenix sighed and said, "Steve, think back to the style clothing that I was wearing before; it wasn't exactly 1940s and neither what I am wearing now."
Hearing this, both Charlus and Newt were looking at each other for a moment or two. To them, it could only mean one thing and that was that Phoenix may be from the future but how was that even possible.
Howard looked at Phoenix and said, "Phoenix, when you first appeared in front of us; your eyes were an emerald green color but when your necklace glowed in a blue light and engulfed in a blue light. We also heard you say, 'I accept my godfather's wishes'wishes' while you were inside the blue light. When the light died down your appearance had completely changed."
"Not only that but you made several remarks that did make sense." Peggy said.
Bucky seemed confused at what Peggy and Howard were talking about.
"Would you believe me if I told you that I was from the future?" Phoenix questioned them suddenly.
Everyone's eyes went wide with shock at hearing that. After a few minutes, Steve asked, "Phoenix, if you're from the future then you know who wins the war."
"I do, Captain Rogers but I don't want to give anything because it could alter the timeline. However, I am not exactly sure why I was sent back to 1942." Phoenix said.
"Phoenix, in the future does something happen that involves Albus Dumbledore?" Charlus asked curiously.
Phoenix nodded.
"Can you tell us?" Newt asked.
Phoenix shook her head no.
"Phoenix?" Bucky said.
Phoenix looked at Bucky acknowledging him.
"Is there maybe a magical way to figure out why you may have come back in time?" Bucky asked curiously.
"The only thing that I think of is an inheritance test and it might can help but I am not exactly sure. However, if we do that then you'll know about some of the things that I said are true and some things may shock all of you." Phoenix stated.
"Well, how about we keep the information to ourselves as if it was classified information." Peggy suggested.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Well, I know the potion that reveals the inheritance on parchment paper with three drops of blood." Charlus said.
Steve looked at Phoenix and asked curiously, "Will this be okay you?"
Phoenix looked at Steve and said, "Yes, but I'm not sure exactly if this could alter anything in future since I came back in time this far."
"Whatever happens Phoenix, we'll try to see if we can get you home to your father." Steve said.
Phoenix just nodded as they Charlus dip the parchment in the potion then laid on the ground so Phoenix put three drops of blood on it. Then Charlus read it out loud with Phoenix's permission:

Luna Lovegood-Longbottom wanted to correct by casting a time travel spell created by her mother that she didn't know if it work or not.
Charlus was shocked as he continued reading the parchment. Everyone hearing him read the parchment was completely shocked at what they were learning.
After Charlus finished reading it both him and Howard hugged Phoenix with smiles on their faces.
Suddenly, Peggy spoke and said, "Well, that parchment explains as to why you're then as well as why you despise that Dumbledore guy. "
Phoenix just nodded but looked at Steve to see what he was thinking about the sudden information.
Steve was actually surprised to know that Phoenix was his soulmate then he looked at Phoenix and said, "Phoenix, I'm not sure how to handle this information."
"Trust me, Captain, when I can honestly say that I am completely stunned by this as well."
"I believe you, Phoenix. It's still a lot to process." Steve said.
"I know, Captain." Phoenix said.
Bucky looked from Steve to Phoenix and said,"You two may want to start dating and get to know each other a bit better."
Both Steve and Phoenix nodded in agreement.
Moments later, the barrier came down after Phoenix entrusted Howard with a few things.
Howard nodded.
Back in the future...
Tony was in his workshop and everything set up that belonged to his father. He played a video while he was reading his father's notes. Then he came across envelopes that had 'Glowing Heart ' written across them; he knew of only one person that called him that and that was Phoenix.
He opened one of the letters and read:
Dad,
If you're reading this then you may have something that belonged to Grandpa Stark. I asked grandpa to keep these letters safe since they were addressed to you.
If you see the year with the date on the letters then your probably realizing that somehow that I have traveled back in time but I wasn't exactly expecting to time travel but I have a feeling that I was sent back to 1942 for a reason until then I can't tell you much.
I have met Grandpa Stark, Great Aunt Peggy, and Captain Steve Rogers aka Captain America along with Colonel Phillips. I may have said a few things but I haven't said things yet. I am trying my very best not to reveal anything of the future.
Phoenix
Tony was shocked when he read this letter. He decided to take a look at the other letters and saw that the date was written on the envelope as well.
Then he heard, 'Tony?'
Tony looked up at the video and saw his father smiling. Then he listened to what his father was saying.
'Tony, I know that I don't have technology to create most of this.'
'Don't I ask me how I know that I don't have technology because I made a promise to someone that I wouldn't reveal anything; but you probably aware of who she is.'
Tony realized who his father was referring to and couldn't help but smile.
'I know that I probably didn't show it but I do love you,Tony. You were and still are my greatest creation. I hope that she found her way back to and I am so proud of you,Tony .'
Tony was starting to cry but he couldn't help it because of his father speaking so calmly.
Back in Germany 1942...
Immediately, Dumbledore approached them but it was Charlus Potter stopped him and said, "Albus, I suggest you leave Phoenix alone. She just found out something and is in complete shock from it."
Albus was about to say something when Bucky said, "I would listen to Mr. Potter because Phoenix may break your jaw since you can't take a hint that she doesn't like you."
"I haven't done anything to Miss Phoenix." Albus said.
Steve looked at Dumbledore and said, "Stay away from Phoenix because she has delt with a lot since she has been here and she doesn't need you upsetting or she really will break your jaw."
Phoenix walked up to Steve and stood right beside him then looked at Dumbledore and said, "I do not and will not trust you, Albus Dumbledore. My reasons are my own and I will protect my family and true friends who will try and hurt them!"
"And I'll do the same as Phoenix when it comes to true friends and family." Steve said.
Howard, Peggy, Bucky, and even Charlus Potter as well as Newt stood beside Captain America and Phoenix.
"Charlus? Newt?" Dumbledore questioned.
"Newt and myself are indebted to Phoenix and Captain America because they saved our lives along with several other wizards who are greatful to them." Charlus said.
Dumbledore blinked at that.
"I'm afraid that Charlus is right, Dumbledore. The Potters and the Scamanders are indebted to Phoenix and Captain America for saving our lives." Newt said.
Howard saw the man, Dumbledore look like he was in shock and wasn't exactly sure what to do about it.
"Yes, well there isn't anything I can about that." Dumbledore said and walked away.
Colonel Phillips walked up to them and said, "No offense, but that guy could make anyone feel uncomfortable. He just doesn't seem to understand things from some people's point of view whether they are magical or not."
Steve and Phoenix nodded in agreement with Colonel Phillips as did Charlus and Newt.
Then Charlus and Newt left so they could inform their family and their friends that they were okay. They also offered friendship to Steve, Phoenix, Howard, Peggy, and Bucky which they were surprised that it was accepted.
"Do, I want to know what happened?" Phillips asked.
"Probably not, but Captain America just asked Phoenix out on a date." Bucky said with a mischievous grin.
Steve and Phoenix looked at Bucky with wide eyes; because they couldn't believe what he had just done. However, Howard and Peggy had to laugh at Steve's and Phoenix's reaction. Then both Phoenix and Steve started laughing as well.
"Well, I hate to say it but some of the men were betting on you asking Phoenix out, Captain America." Phillips said as he also laughed.
Steve and Phoenix were surprised to learn that of all things.
"Well, when you really think about it; there are times when you and Phoenix almost sound like a married couple when arguing about something." Peggy said.
"Do we really sound like that?" Steve asked curiously.
"Yeah, you two to do that Peggy and I secretly had a bet going amongst ourselves about what type of relationship you two would have." Howard said, "However, I'm sure that Phoenix's father would approve of the relationship. So, until then I give you permission to date Phoenix, Steve."
Steve literally blushed as did Phoenix.
[Author's Note: Okay, I am not sure from the movie Captain America, where they were for sure. So, ever so often Harriet aka Phoenix makes references to the future while in 1942 throughout the story. Plus, Phoenix is aware of how smart Howard is because Tony is just like in some ways. Also, just so you know, it may not exactly follow the exact movie plot. Also, isn't that what writing fanfiction is about? Creating your own versions of the things you're a fan of?
