"Do, I want to know what happened?" Phillips asked.
"Probably not, but Captain America just asked Phoenix out on a date." Bucky said with a mischievous grin.
Steve and Phoenix looked at Bucky with wide eyes; because they couldn't believe what he had just done. However, Howard and Peggy had to laugh at Steve's and Phoenix's reaction. Then both Phoenix and Steve started laughing as well.
"Well, I hate to say it but some of the men were betting on you asking Phoenix out, Captain America." Phillips said as he also laughed.
Steve and Phoenix were surprised to learn that of all things.
"Well, when you really think about it; there are times when you and Phoenix almost sound like a married couple when arguing about something." Peggy said.
"Do we really sound like that?" Steve asked curiously.
"Yeah, you two to do that Peggy and I secretly had a bet going amongst ourselves about what type of relationship you two would have." Howard said, "However, I'm sure that Phoenix's father would approve of the relationship. So, until then I give you permission to date Phoenix, Steve."
Steve literally blushed as did Phoenix.
The next day...
Steve got up and decided to go for a run since he apparently was given permission by Howard Stark to date his future granddaughter on behalf of her father. He wondered what kind of date that Phoenix would like because he knew that she wasn't exactly like all the other women.
Meanwhile...
Phoenix was actually nervous because she had never really been on a real date before since most just wanted to date her for fame and fortune when she had no idea that she had had a soulmate.
"Phoenix, are you okay?" Peggy asked.
"No, because I am nervous about going on a date with Steve." Phoenix answered.
"How come?" Peggy asked curiously.
"Well, let's just say that some guys didn't want to date me for me but they rather date me because they got a taste of fame." Phoenix said, "Of course at the time I wasn't aware that I had a soulmate."
Peggy was actually stunned to hear that. Then she said, "Go have fun with Steve and it could possibly lead to something more."
Phoenix blushed furiously and said, "Peggy, are you suggesting that Steve and I..."
Peggy just winked at Phoenix.
Phoenix sighed and said, "I don't really think a first date would lead to that, Peggy."
"Well, we're at war, Phoenix and besides whose to say that you and Steve won't end up in that kind of situation." Peggy said.
"Steve is such a gentleman though." Phoenix said.
"True, but you never know what can happen during a war." Peggy said.
Phoenix just broke suddenly into tears. Peggy freaked out a bit seeing Phoenix crying.
Back with Steve...
Steve was getting ready for his first ever date with Phoenix and Howard started having a very strong conversation with Steve immediately.
Bucky was with Steve because he figured that he would take Peggy out and he was also getting the same lecture from Howard Stark as well.
"Boys, those girls need to be treated with respect especially since Phoenix is my granddaughter from the future." Howard said looking directly at Steve.
Steve understood because ever since Howard found out that his son considered his goddaughter his daughter; Howard decided to be the overprotective grandfather. It was definitely a different side to Howard now.
"Howard, we'll treat them with respect." Bucky said.
"Good. However, should your date lead to something more; I suggest that you two play it safe, okay?" Howard said.
This caused both Bucky and Steve to blush.
Moments later, Steve and Bucky arrived to pick up the girls. They were stunned by their beauty and their dresses that they were wearing.
"So where are we going, Steve?" Phoenix asked curiously.
"Well, Bucky and I figured that we'd take you girls out to eat then go dancing followed by anything else that you girls might like to do." Steve said.
"Yeah and we thought you two would enjoy being away from the base for a while." Bucky said.
"That does sound good." Peggy said.
Phoenix sat next to Steve as Peggy sat next to Bucky in the jeep that they took from the base.
Back in the future...
Tony had finished reading Phoenix's letters as well as the video that his father had made for him. Then it was time for him to upgrade his suit and arc reactor with a new element. He also decided to make something for Phoenix. However, he wondered what Phoenix would think if he asked Pepper out.
So, he and his bot children started getting to work automatically.
Moments later, Phil entered Tony's workshop and was stunned to see what Tony was doing. He even saw Captain America's shield laying there and was shocked when Tony asked him to put the Captain's shield underneath a peice of the piping.
"Tony, I came to tell you were still searching for you're goddaughter." Phil said.
"Technically, I know exactly where she is, Agent Coulson. However, I don't know when she'll return but I do know that Phoenix can handle herself pretty good." Tony said.
"How do you know where she is, Stark?" Phil asked.
"Let's just say that my bond with my goddaughter has become a father and a daughter bond over the time she spent with me." Tony said not wanting to say that magic had something to do with it.
"Okay, Stark but Fury wants to talk to you." Phil said.
"Sure, but I'll give you heads up; whatever you do when Nix returns is don't get her upset or she'll break your jaw." Tony said somewhat sarcastically.
Phil blinked but nodded.
"By the way, thanks for your help trying find Nix; Agent. That means a lot to me and Pepper." Tony said out of the blue.
"You're welcome, Stark. However, it seems that you're busy?" Phil said.
"Yeah, I'm working on something. However, Nix may be in a situation right now that I can't help her with there is someone that is helping her with situation or I might might find a way to help her?" Tony stated.
Phil looked at Tony completely confused.
"Tell, Fury that I'll be there after I do a few things." Tony said.
Phil just nodded but wondered what Tony Stark could possibly be going to do before he met with Director Fury. Then he left Tony.
Once Phil had left; Tony went and took a shower and got dressed immediately. Then he left his Malibu home and was heading directly to the bank well technically it was magical bank known as Gringotts. He had to talk with a goblin that was over Phoenix's account explain what was going on immediately.
Gringotts Bank, the American Branch...
A goblin was surprised to see a gentleman dressed in a suit with tennis shoes and recognized him immediately and said, "What can I do for you, Mr. Stark?"
"I know that you're probably aware of what has happened to Nix. I was coming to inform you that if Nix returns then she'll probably be married by Magical terms; so I was wondering if there is anyway that you could create a brand new account for her and husband should they start a family sooner than later just to be on the safe side." Tony stated.
"Yes, Mr. Stark, we are aware of what happened with your daughter. We would be glad to open account under the name Stark-Rogers." The goblin said.
"I have a request as well but I don't know if magic allows items to travel back in time or not; but this is a ring design that would benefit both my daughter and her husband." Tony stated showing the goblin the design.
The goblin was amazed by the design and said, "I think Lady Magic might be able to get this to them and I take it that the design with Captain America's shield and the Phoenix with an arc reactor in the middle of the chest will be the Stark-Rogers family crest?"
"Yes, it will be because my daughter means everything to me and I have a feeling that she means the world to Captain Rogers." Tony stated.
The goblin nodded and then handed Tony two rings of his own and said, "These rings are for you and Miss Potts because the Starks are considered an Ancient and Noble house here in America by Lady Magic herself and you are Lord Anthony Edward Stark, sir. However, when Phoenix returns things will have changed somewhat."
"How exactly will it change exactly?" Tony questioned.
"Let's just say that the Late Lord and Lady James Potter will have a son instead of a daughter but that's the only thing that we know that will probably change so far." The goblin said.
"Okay." Tony said.
So, the goblins along with Tony got to work on the rings that would be sent back in time to Phoenix and Captain Steve Rogers.
Meanwhile on Helicraft Carrier...
"So, Phil, will Tony show up for our little talk?" Fury asked.
Phil looked at Fury and said, "He said would after he did a few things and he knows where is goddaughter is and that she's safe with someone but he wouldn't say who."
"Is he aware that we have managed to find Captain Steve Rogers?" Fury questioned.
"No, sir. However, he believes that his goddaughter will return soon." Phil said.
"Okay." Fury said.
Suddenly, a doctor came running and he was in shock.
"What's wrong, doctor?" Fury asked curiously.
"Well, we just saw what appears to be a wedding band on Captain America's ring finger." The doctor said.
"WHAT?!" Both Fury and Phil said in shock.
"Yeah and we are guessing that Captain America may have married before he was frozen in ice. However, there's an inscription on the ring." The doctor said.
"What does the inscription say?" Fury asked curiously.
"Familiam nostram et veros amicos ab inimicis nostris tuemur!" The doctor said.
Phil blinked and said, "We protect our family and true friends from our true enemies?"
Fury looked at Phil and said, "Why would an inscription like that be put on a wedding band?"
"I don't know, sir but surely the Captain and his wife had a reason." Phil answered.
Back in Germany 1942/Gringotts Bank...
Steve and Phoenix had went their separate ways from Bucky and Peggy after eating out and going dancing.
Steve and Phoenix were walking and they were talking when someone caught up to them and said, "Captain? Phoenix? Would you care to come with me? I work for a magical bank called Gringotts and it's very important that both of you come with me."
Steve and Phoenix looked at each other and nodded. So, they followed the gentleman and Steve was stunned to see how huge a magical bank was; they followed the gentleman inside and the gentleman told the creature at the desk that he had brought Captain Rogers and Phoenix as requested.
"Follow me, please?" The goblin said.
Both Phoenix and Steve followed the creature to another room and then sat down. While the creature sat across from them behind the desk.
"Good sir, if I may ask; why are the Captain and I here?" Phoenix asked.
"Well to answer your question, Mr. and Mrs. Stark-Rogers, it's because of these rings." The goblin said showing the rings to them.
Phoenix and Steve took the rings from the palate that they laid on and looked at them closely. Then Phoenix looked at the goblin and asked, "Does this have to do with the Soulmate bond that Steve and I have?"
"It does. According to the letter that was sent with them explained that your father helped to create the rings to keep both of you safe and that picture that inscribed on the rings will be your family creat since you will be known in the Magical World as Lord and Lady Stark-Rogers. Your father had suggested to take this action in case the two started a family with each other early." The goblin said.
Both Phoenix and Steve blushed at that then Steve said, "I think understand Phoenix's father's concern about that."
"Sir, will it be alright if I add an inscription to the rings and infuse magic?" Phoenix asked.
"Yes and if Mr. Rogers wishes; he can even add a few drops of blood as well." The goblin said.
"What exactly will that do?" Steve asked curiously.
The goblin looked at Steve and said, "The infusion will allow you and Phoenix to know if the other is okay or not and also if someone tries to say that the other is dead when they are not; the ring let you know. Considering by the soulmate bond; you two are already married in magic but will probably have to make it official in the non-magical world."
Both Steve and Phoenix nodded.
"So what will the inscription be?" The goblin questioned.
Phoenix looked at the goblin said, " The inscription will be 'Familiam nostram et veros amicos ab inimicis nostris tuemur!' which means, 'We protect our family and true friends from our true enemies!' if that is okay."
Steve looked at Phoenix and said, "I like that."
Phoenix just smiled.
"Very well." The goblin said as he added the inscription to the rings.
Steve and Phoenix sat there watching the goblin as he added the inscription to the rings then after he finished he hand the rings to Steve and Phoenix who put them on immediately.
"Now, I believe that you two have to return." The goblin said.
Both Steve and Phoenix nodded and thanked the goblin for his time then they left the bank and headed back.
Back in the non-magical world...
Peggy was kinda getting worried about Phoenix and Steve just a bit as was Bucky.
At that moment, Howard walked in and saw Bucky and Peggy with worried looks on their faces.
"What's wrong, you two?" Howard asked.
"Steve and Phoenix haven't returned to the base yet." Peggy said.
"Yeah, I mean we went our separate ways after the dancing but we figured that Steve and Phoenix would be back by now." Bucky said.
Howard sighed and said, "I'm sure they'll be back because Phillips gave orders for Steve and Howling Commandos to head out but Phoenix is to stay behind this time."
"Phoenix won't like that." Peggy said.
Both Bucky and Howard nodded in agreement at that.
A few minutes later, both Steve and Phoenix walked through the gates of the base.
"Where have two been?" Howard questioned.
"We were enjoying our walk and talking about a few things." Phoenix said.
Suddenly, Bucky took notice of the rings and said, "Punk, you didn't?"
"Well not technically by the means that we know but by magic yes we are, Bucky but the rings were designed especially for us." Steve said blushing a bit.
"What are you saying, Steve?" Peggy questioned.
Phoenix sighed and said, "Basically, the soulmate bond in which Steve and I is like a magical marriage but eventually Steve and I actually have to make it official in the non-magical world."
Howard's, Bucky's, and Peggy's eyes went wide with shock at hearing that.
Phoenix looked at them for a moment and said, "I guess know a bit about the future is no longer out of the equation considering that I've been giving clues to future; but not trying to reveal all the future tid bits."
Howard blinked as he realized what Phoenix was saying finally as he thought back to when he first met Phoenix and said, "Italian-American! That's what you said that your father was and he was CEO of his family's company. "
Phoenix nodded.
"So, when we introduced ourselves to you; you knew who we were and that's why you fainted." Peggy said.
"Well that was most of it." Phoenix said.
"What was the rest of it?" Steve asked curiously.
"The rest of it was because I had somehow traveled back in time to World War II and was meeting people that may no longer be living in the future. However, there is a possibility with me being here that somethings may change; I'm exactly sure what will change but I have a few theories considering one may change completely." Phoenix stated.
"And what may change completely?" Bucky asked curiously.
"Since Lady Magic herself accepted my father's wish then my name legally became Phoenix Jasmine Stark when my last was Potter; so Lady Magic decided to let the last Potter be born as a male. However, I don't know if that will be the only change." Phoenix said.
"Which means that that Dumbledore guy may do the same thing that he did to you to the male version of you?!" Steve said a bit upset.
"It's possible, Steve but the one thing that he didn't count is Tony Stark, the Billionaire, Philanthropist, scientist, and inventor also former playboy that would do anything to protect those he loves." Phoenix said.
"Former playboy?" Steve questioned.
"Trust me when I say the word 'former boy' because he was starting realize that there was someone who cared for him very deeply." Phoenix said.
"Pepper Potts?" Howard said.
"Yeah, Pepper is his soulmate." Phoenix said with a smile.
"So, Tony is your father wouldn't that make Pepper your mother?" Steve asked curiously.
"I guess it would and I would gladly accept that." Phoenix said, "Also, why do I suddenly have this feeling that you want to tell us something that I might not like."
"Well, Steve and I have to head out with Howling Commandos in the morning and you've been order to stay at the base with Peggy." Bucky said.
At that, Phoenix decided to walk off for a moment; however, no expected to Steve to go after her immediately.
Howard said suddenly, "As much as I hate say this but they are newly weds by magic and they need to talk this out between them."
Bucky and Peggy just nodded.
Somewhere on the base...
Steve managed to catch up to Phoenix and he was stunned to see a tent but he could feel Phoenix's magic around the tent. He wasn't sure if her magic would let him in or not but he had to try.
He was surprised that her magic allowed him in. Then he entered the tent and said, "Phoenix?"
"Captain, in here?" Steve heard Phoenix's voice.
Steve walked into a bathroom that was in a tent and he was shocked at what he was seeing. Phoenix was completely nude and had the water running over her.
"Phoenix?" Steve said.
"Captain, I don't know what do because no one ever told me anything about a soulmate bond and what happens." Phoenix said.
Steve took a deep breath and exhaled then he stripped then got in the shower with Phoenix. Then he cupped Phoenix's face and brought her face to his and said, "Phoenix, I'm here for you right now. When you attended Hogwarts, they didn't tell you about certain bonds?"
Phoenix's eyes well with tears and said, "When I was fourteen and emancipated in the eyes of Lady Magic; I found that I was being betrayed by the friends that I had once trusted, Captain. I found out that I had been practically been used by Dumbledore as a child soldier or weapon."
Steve's heart was breaking at hearing this. He wasn't sure how Phoenix's father reacted to the story that Phoenix was now sharing with him now while they were both nude in a shower inside a magical tent. He kept his hands where they were as Phoenix kept talking to him.
When Phoenix finished talking; Steve immediately took his hands from her face and wrapped them her waist and pulled her close to him as she finished crying.
"Phoenix, I know this is new to both of us and..." Steve was cut off by a kiss the he heard Phoenix say, "Thanks for listening, Steve. I am worried about tomorrow but promise me that you'll be safe."
"I promise, Phoenix." Steve said.
"Steve?" Phoenix questioned.
"Hm?" Steve said.
"You know in the romantic movies that they sometimes that say lovers sort have buring desire for a night of passion?" Phoenix asked.
"Yes, I am aware. Why do you ask, Phoenix?" Steve said.
"Well, I wonder if it's possible that the soulmate bond may push us to have a magical wedding night right now." Phoenix said.
Steve's eyes went wide at that and said, "I don't know but if it does; will you be okay with it?"
"Nervous a little bit because it would actually be my first time." Phoenix said.
Steve smiled and said, "It will my first time as well but I'm glad to share it with you, Phoenix."
Phoenix let out watery chuckle with tears still in her eyes and said, "Same here, Captain."
Steve kissed Phoenix with such passion and let his hands roam her body. Phoenix was just returning Steve's kiss just as passionate. Then they moved from the shower to the bed where things began to hot and heavy between them.
Meanwhile...
Howard, Bucky, and Peggy were sitting down drinking coffee but Peggy was drinking tea when they heard a loud pop.
"Who's there?" Bucky asked.
"It's me, Charlus Potter." A male said.
"Charlus, what brings you here?" Howard asked curiously.
"I think that I forgot to tell you. When you have a soulmate it's basically soulmate bond which means marriage in the Magical World and they are rare." Charlus said.
"And if that bond was ever tampered with?" Peggy asked curiously.
"The bond could make the two of them horny as hell to make up for the lost time; in theory. Why?" Charlus asked curiously.
Bucky and Howard choked on their coffee that they had taken a drink of.
Peggy and Charlus looked at Howard and Bucky with absolute confusion.
"Howard? Bucky?" Peggy questioned.
"Sorry, Peggy but did Charlus say ' horny as hell' will happen between Steve and Phoenix?" Bucky said.
"He did." Peggy said.
"Oh gosh! If the that much sexual tension is between them from someone interfering with their soulmate bond! Tony will end up being a grandpa by the time Phoenix may go home!" Howard said suddenly.
Charlus looked completely shocked.
A few hours later; Steve and Phoenix returned to the base. Howard, Bucky, Charlus, and Peggy looked at them with smiles on their faces.
"Punk, are you okay?" Bucky asked curiously worried.
"Yeah, Phoenix and I talked a bit and I found out exactly why she hates Albus Dumbledore." Steve stated.
"Why does Phoenix hate Dumbledore?" Charlus asked curiously.
"You might want sit down, Charlus because it's going to be a long story." Steve said.
Phoenix started from the beginning and by the time she had finished; everyone was brought to tears. However, Charlus Potter was upset to know Dumbledore had used his family and that it may reoccur since Phoenix became a Stark and that a male Harry Potter would be in her place.
"Charlus, you can do something that Dumbledore wouldn't suspect." Phoenix said.
"What's that?" Charlus questioned.
"When your son, James Potter is born inform him of a witch that works directly with MI6 and the Queen of England married to Captain America aka Captain Steve Rogers but who are family is remains a mystery to you." Phoenix said.
Charlus just smiled and nodded then left.
Then Phoenix looked at Howard, Bucky, Steve and Peggy and said, "Everything that you have found out will be classified. However, we need to come up with an encryption code that only we know and no else will for this information."
Bucky, Steve, Howard, and Peggy nodded in agreement. So, they immediately started working on the encryption code for only them to know and no else. Because it would contain all the true information about Phoenix and more.
The next morning...
Steve and Bucky woke up bright and early; however, they were surprised to see Phoenix and Peggy standing there at the base entrance.
Colonel Phillips was surprised to see both women standing there but what shocked him even more was when Phoenix literally kissed Captain America on the lips.
The rest of the Commandos were in shock at seeing Captain America getting kissed by Phoenix. Then one of noticed the rings that were on the Captain's and Phoenix's ring fingers.
"I'll be back, Phoenix." Steve said after they broke from the kiss.
Phoenix gave Steve a look.
Several hours later, Steve and his men attacked the enemy base. Everything broke into chaos when Steve went after the Red Skull. Now, Steve had to land a plane well crash the plane and all he could think about was contacting Phoenix instantly.
Meanwhile, back at the command center...
Phoenix was sitting down while Howard and Peggy were sitting beside her. When Steve's voice came over the radio.
"Steve?" Phoenix said.
"Phoenix?" Steve said.
"Are you all okay?" Phoenix asked.
"Yes and No." Steve answered.
"What do you mean?" Phoenix said.
"Well there were some casualties and one of them was Bucky. " Steve answered.
Phoenix gasped at hearing that and said, "Steve, I am sorry to hear that."
"Phoenix, I know that you don't want to hear this but I'm going to try and land this plane in the ocean." Steve said.
"Steve, let us have your coordinates and we can retrieve you." Phoenix said.
"Phoenix, I love you." Steve said as the radio was cutting out.
"Steve? Captain? STEVE?!" Phoenix screamed.
Howard and Peggy watched as Phoenix broke down that they wrapped their arms around her to comfort her.
Colonel Phillips saw everything from the shadows and could see how devastated Phoenix. He watched as Howard and Peggy helped Phoenix up when she suddenly collapsed in their arms..
"Peggy, when need to get her to the Med Bay." Howard suggested.
Peggy nodded.
Colonel Phillips followed them because he was sort of curious.
Med Bay...
The doctors were examining Phoenix to make sure she was okay.
Meanwhile, outside the room, Howard was pacing with worry about his future granddaughter.
Colonel Phillips looked at the worried look on Peggy's face and had to ask, "What's with you two?"
"Colonel Phillips, Steve and Phoenix became a country. We are worried for Phoenix because if her and Steve had a wild night before he left; well what do you think could have possibly happened?" Peggy said.
Colonel Phillips' eyes went wide with shock and said, "You mean that Phoenix could be pregnant with Captain Rogers' child?!"
"It may be possible but we won't know for sure until the doctors confirm." Howard said.
A doctor came out and said, "Phoenix is okay but I think she's in shock. However, she's with child. Do you know who the father would be?"
"Peggy and I know who the father is." Howard said.
Colonel Phillips and the doctor looked at them.
"If we tell you; you can not tell anyone for Phoenix's sake as well as the baby's sake." Peggy said.
"Well who is the father?" Phillips asked curiously.
"Captain Steve Rogers is the father, Colonel Phillips." Howard said.
Both Colonel Phillips and the doctor were stunned that Captain Steve Rogers aka Captain America fathered a child with Phoenix.
Suddenly, a nurse cam out of the room and said, "Colonel, Agent Phoenix wishes to speak with Howard and Agent Carter."
"Why?" Phillips asked.
"She wouldn't say." The nurse answered.
Howard and Peggy had feeling that the spell that had brought her here was now ready to send Phoenix back home to her father.
Inside the room...
Phoenix was sitting up in the bed drinking some water when Peggy and Howard walked in.
"Phoenix, you wanted to see me and Howard?" Peggy asked.
Phoenix nodded.
"Do you need anything, Phoenix?" Howard asked.
"Not right now. The nurse told me that I'm pregnant which means the baby is Steve's. Since he's the only that I have been with." Phoenix said.
Both Howard and Peggy nodded.
Phoenix smiled at them and said, "I know this will sound strange coming from me; but because of the soulmate bond, I can still feel Steve."
Howard and Peggy were stunned to hear this. Then Howard said, "Are you sure, Phoenix?"
Phoenix nodded and said, "It's faint but Steve is alive but kind of like in a Sleeping Beauty state."
"If we find him and he wakes up; will he know about you being pregnant?" Peggy asked curiously.
"I don't know because no one in Magical World ever explained the bonds to me especially this one." Phoenix said.
"Phoenix, the Colonel and the doctor are probably deciding what they should do since you're pregnant with Captain Rogers' child." Howard said.
"Well then, it's a good thing that I'll be heading back home then." Phoenix said.
Howard and Peggy were stunned to hear this.
"So, you called us in here to say goodbye then?" Peggy said.
Phoenix nodded and said, "Yes but I also wanted to thank you for everything. After all we are family and I wanted to tell you goodbye before I left."
Howard couldn't believe that his future granddaughter was leaving especially after Steve had just crashed his plane. Apparently, Peggy was thinking the same thing and said, "Why now?"
Phoenix looked at Peggy and said, "If I stay and word gets out to the enemies of Steve that he has a child then..."
"You're referring to Hydra; aren't you, Phoenix?" Howard asked.
Phoenix nodded and said, "Plus, I get this feeling that I'll see Steve again but not exactly sure when."
Both Howard and Peggy walked over to the bed finally and hugged Phoenix; which she gladly returned. Then both Howard and Peggy backed off and before Phoenix was engulfed in a blue light; she said, "It was nice meeting all of you and thank you again."
And with that, Phoenix was gone just as Colonel Phillips and the doctor walked in.
"Where's Agent Phoenix?" Phillips asked curiously.
"She went home." Howard said.
[Author's Note: I'm sort of leading up to the where Steve crashing the plane into the ocean. The only difference is that it's Phoenix that goes through it instead of Peggy and a hidden shock as well.]
