The chosen Pharaoh
Last time so did the final battle with Bakura begin, in the beginning so did it look like Atem and Mahad would defeat Bakura and Diabound but once the evil spirits of the Kul Elna gave their power to Bakura and Diabound so did they gain the advantage. Mana and the guardians arrived and lent their power to Atem in order to defeat Diabound, but in the end so couldn't they defeat him, and then Atem decided to sacrifice himself in order to save the others and at that moment so did Atem learn that his father had placed a protective spell on him and absorbed the spirits before leaving for the world of darkness. Then Atem tried to defeat the weakened Diabound but then Aknadin appeared and helped Bakura, and then both of them placed the seven Millennium items into the Millennium Stone, what will happen next?
Chapter 14- The White Dragon captured
Atem gritted his teeth as he felt the evil presence get even stronger, the energy coming out of the Millennium Stone then began to take a shape, soon it took the shape of a creature, but Atem could see that it hadn't completely materialized yet, but Atem knew that it could only be one creature, Zorc the Dark One.
Zorc looked at both Bakura and Aknadin, "So both the one responsible for the creation of the Millennium items and the one who managed to survive through the creation of the items have returned. Swear loyalty to me and your desires will be fulfilled".
Bakura smirked, "I desire the destruction of the son of Aknamkanon and the entire land of Egypt". Aknadin stepped forward, "And I want a new Pharaoh in the new world you're going to create, and that Pharaoh will be my one and only son, Seto".
Atem's eyes widened in shock, he didn't even know that Aknadin had a son, and he especially didn't know that it was Seto. Atem managed to move his eyes so that he could see Seto and saw that he had the same look in his eyes, which meant that even he didn't know that Aknadin was his father, it was a chance that Aknadin was lying but Atem knew Aknadin well enough to know that he wouldn't make something like that up.
Zorc chuckled, "Very well, your transformation from sacred guardian to high priest of darkness is now complete". Aknadin was suddenly surrounded by dark energy, Aknadin began to change and soon so did the energy disappear and the others got shocked when they saw him.
He had now red wild grown hair, a white mask with a red part over his left eye with a part that looked like the Millennium Eye there, his hands had claws, he had a purple cape and purple armor. He took a few steps forward, Zorc looked at him, "Now my great Shadow Magus, destroy the Pharaoh so that your son can claim the throne".
Aknadin stepped forward while he laughed, "Don't worry my dear nephew, you will be replaced by someone more worthy to be Pharaoh". Aknadin held out his hand and energy began to build up in it, he then took and fired a beam of dark magical energy straight at Atem.
But at the same time so had Atem been building up his own shadow magic, he then took and used it to break the spell that was holding him, it was a bit harder than usual because of all the damage he had taken and all the energy he had lost during the battle.
Atem quickly chanted a spell and a protective shield formed in front of him, he pretty easily deflected Aknadin's attack before he took and broke the spell on the others as well. The others began to move again and so did their creatures as well, Atem took and looked at Aknadin, "Did you forget Aknadin? If you have enough shadow magic so can you break free from any paralyzing spell even if you're unable to chant a spell yourself".
Aknadin laughed, "That's to be expected from you Atem, that spell was quite powerful and it's practically impossible to break free from it, but someone like you who has the greatest amount of shadow magic in the history of Egypt should be able to do it, but how long can you last against me in your condition?"
Atem gritted his teeth knowing that he was right, if he was in perfect condition so could he probably fighting Aknadin in a magician fight for about one and a half hour, maybe even two, but right now so was his body and spirit too damaged and could probably not do it for long.
Aknadin stepped towards Seto, "Seto my boy, in order to help my brother save his country which he couldn't protect himself, I had to abandon you and your mother for your safety, but I am going to correct that now, come with me and I will make sure you take your rightful place on the throne, as Pharaoh in the new world that Zorc will create once he gets here".
Seto looked at him with a conflicted look on his face, he had always thought of Aknadin as his father but it was a shock to learn that he actually was his father and wondered if he should do as his father asked him to do. But at that moment so did Atem step in front of him, "I won't let you make Seto do the same mistake you have done Aknadin, you have completely given in to the darkness in your heart but I won't allow you to drag Seto down along with you".
Aknadin laughed, "Just tell us the truth Atem, you're afraid that you will be dethroned by someone more suited to Pharaoh than you are, like I was more suited to be Pharaoh than my brother were":
Atem gritted his teeth, "My father was a great Pharaoh, he was working hard to create peace in Egypt". Aknadin growled, "He was a pathetic excuse for a Pharaoh, if it wasn't for me than Egypt would have fallen into the hands of its enemies a dozen times".
Shimon stepped forward, "I know that a lot of people that king Aknamkanon was trying to make peace with mysteriously disappeared, it was your doing wasn't it?" Aknadin looked at him, "They were studying our defenses in order to invade us, I was the only one who realized that and did what was necessary".
Shimon shook his head, "They were truly trying to create peace, but because of you a lot of the wars and battles we fought happened". Aknadin pointed at Shimon, "I did what I had to and if anyone questions me they will pay for it". He fired a beam of magical energy at Shimon who covered his face, but Atem jumped in front of him and formed a protective shield again.
"I won't let you hurt anyone Aknadin, this madness has to end, right now". But at that moment so did Diabound fire a Illusionary Shockwave at them, but Mahad managed to get them out of the way before it hit them but Atem could feel that the attack were stronger than before.
As soon as Mahad landed so did Atem look at Bakura and Diabound and saw that dark energy came out of the stone and entered Diabound. Bakura laughed, "Now with all seven of the items in the stone so is Zorc able to share his power with Diabound, so with all this dark power filling my creatures veins so is he more powerful than ever".
Atem gritted his teeth, this kept going from bad to worse and then worst, but then he looked at Zorc with a confused look on his face, Zorc hadn't completely materialized yet and wondered why, the seven items had been returned to the stone so why hadn't he taken a full physical form yet?
Then he got a thought, he looked at Bakura who had looked at him the whole time, Bakura laughed, "It looks like you have figured it out Pharaoh, yes Zorc hasn't taken a complete physical form yet because he hasn't completely crossed over yet because the doorway hasn't opened completely yet".
Atem's eyes narrowed, that meant that Zorc could still be stopped, if they could smash the stone before the doorway fully opened so would Zorc be unable to cross over. He mentally told Mahad this and Mahad nodded and prepared himself to strike the Millennium Stone again.
But at that moment so did Diabound fire an attack at Mahad and he had to dodge for it, Atem then looked at Aknadin and saw him fire a blast of dark magic at him and he jumped out of the way. But at that moment so ran Aknadin up to Seto and opened a portal before he threw Seto in to it and then looked at Atem, "The next time you see us my dear nephew so will my son possess the power of the fourth Egyptian god", he then jumped in to the portal and it closed.
Atem's eyes widened in fear, he knew immediately what Aknadin was going to do, he was going to go after Kisara and take her dragon from her, the White Dragon that had power that rivaled that of the Egyptian gods.
Atem turned his eyes back to Bakura and Diabound, he knew that he had to destroy the stone now but he also had to find Seto before Aknadin could mess up his head. Then so did Bakura chuckle, "I can see that you are troubled, let me guess you're wondering if you should look for poor Seto or destroy the stone right? Well let me make it easier for you".
Diabound put one of his hands on the stone while he grabbed Bakura with the other and then sunk down in to the ground with the stone to Atem's horror. He knew that they would never find it in time to destroy it now, but then he looked at the others and saw that Karim were looking really bad and knew that they needed to get him out of here and fast.
A FEW MINUTES LATER ABOVE GROUND,
Shada and Atem was carrying Karim up for the last steps and then put him down carefully on the ground with the others standing around them and were looking worried at Karim.
Atem looked at Isis, "Can you help him?" Isis looked at him and was about to answer when Atem felt Karim grab his arm and told them to wait, they all looked at him again, "Don't waste your strength on that, even if you try you won't be able to restore enough of my life force in order for me to be of any use for you guys".
Karim looked at Shada, "Shada, my closest friend, I want to be your strength, so take the last of my life energy and use it to protect the Pharaoh and bring down Bakura and stop Zorc from crossing over". Atem looked at him shocked and horrified, "Karim you can't be serious, if you do that you will go straight into the shadow realm, I forbid you to do this".
Karim looked at him with determined eyes, "Look at the big picture Pharaoh, this could help you stop Bakura and save Seto from Aknadin, but the longer we argue the bigger is the chance that they will succeed".
Atem looked around and saw that everyone agreed with Karim, he gritted his teeth and reluctantly agreed to it. Shada and Karim lifted their right hands and locked hands, Atem could see energy go from Karim's arm and into Shada's and how the life gauge on his DiaDhank was showing how his life force was slowly depleting.
As soon as the gauge was completely empty so did Karim close his eyes, Shada carefully put Karim's arm down on the ground and closed his eyes as he tried to hold back his tears. Mana and Isis broke down in tears and Shimon bowed in both sorrow and respect.
Atem clenched his fists, he was tired of losing his sacred guardians, first it was Mahad, then Aknadin to the darkness of his heart and now it was Karim but he knew one thing for sure, and that was that he was not going to lose Seto to the darkness as well.
Atem ran over to his horse and jumped up on it, he rode over to the others, "I want you guys to try and find the Millennium Stone, I'm going to find Seto and save him before Aknadin can corrupt him and I will solve this family problem once and for all". The others looked at him worried but said they would as they were told, Atem looked at Mana, "And keep a close eye on Mana, otherwise she will follow me".
Mana looked at him with really much worry in her eyes, Shimon looked at her and smile before he looked back at Atem, "If you want to say goodbye to each other we can turn around". Atem looked at him confused, "My Pharaoh, did you think that king Aknamkanon, Mahad, Isis and Seto were the only ones that knew about the feelings the two of you had for each other as well as the secret relationship you two have right now?"
Atem and Mana blushed and Shimon chuckled, "Sure many would disagree to this relationship, but you're the king of Egypt and all of us want you to be happy, so we approve of your choose".
Atem blinked shocked, he was sure that Shimon would be the one who would disapprove their relationship the most but he then smiled and thanked them and they smiled and turned around.
Atem took and jumped off his horse and walked over to Mana and they shared a passionate kiss, he then took and chanted a tracking spell while he was focusing on Seto.
Atem took and jumped back up on his horse, he looked at the others that now looked at him again, "Be careful my friends, I now know where Seto are so it's up to you guys to find the stone and destroy it but remember that Bakura and Diabound are more dangerous than before so once again, be careful".
The others nodded and Atem rode off towards where Seto were, hoping that he would get there before it was too late and Aknadin dragged Seto over to the side of evil.
AT THE SAME TIME WITH SETO AND AKNADIN,
Seto was slowly opening his eyes, he sat up and saw that he was at the top of some ruins, he sees Aknadin standing in front of him, he walks up to him, "Why are you doing this father?" Aknadin looked at him over his shoulder, "In order to make sure that you get the throne that should have been yours from the beginning".
Seto shook his head, "My duty is to serve the current Pharaoh, not replace him, I swore to the former Pharaoh, as I know was my uncle, to protect and guide his son, my cousin". Aknadin looked forward, "No, it's your duty and fate to rule, but in order to do that, you need something powerful enough to match the power of the Egyptian gods, and so I will now grant you a power so great that it will be known as the fourth Egyptian god, the dragon god of light".
Seto's eyes widened and quickly looked down at the ground and saw Kisara walking around there looking lost and confused, he looked at Aknadin, "How did you find her? The Pharaoh and I hid her so that she would be safe".
Aknadin looked at him, "You underestimated the power of my Millennium Eye, I searched the minds of every guard and soldier in the palace in order to find her since I knew that I wouldn't be able to do that with you two".
Seto knew that he was right, their Millennium powers allowed them to protect their minds from being scanned by the Millennium Eye. Aknadin then turned around and walked away while he said: "I will prepare the sealing tablet, your part of the plan is to lure the girl to other side of the ruins so that we can seal her dragon so that it will belong to you".
Seto saw him jumped down from the roof, he looked down at Kisara, he really didn't want to hurt her, he had started to get attracted to the white haired girl so he decided what he was going to do.
Kisara was walking around wondering what she was doing there. She then heard someone call out her name, she turned around and saw Seto run towards, she ran up to him, "Seto, what's going on here?"
He looked around, "We have to get out of here, my father wants to take your dragon from you, even though if it's means that your spirit will be sealed along with the dragon's spirit".
Kisara's eyes widened, "But you don't want that right?" Seto shook his head, "No I don't, and that's why I'm going to get you away from here". He grabbed her hand and began to run, but before they could get away from the ruins so did dark energy come up from the ground and took the form of a creature and had one eye that looked like the Millennium Eye.
They looked around and saw Aknadin, he took off his mask and Aknadin's red hair turn back to being white and his normal eye were red and grey skin, "I had a feeling that you would never be able to go through with it so I knew that I had to do it for you".
Seto stepped forward, "I won't let you take her dragon from her father, this is not you, your heart has been corrupted by darkness so I won't listen to you unless you go back to how you used to be". Aknadin's eye narrowed and the creature walked towards them, Seto took and summoned Duos, Duos tried his best but the creature were too much for him.
Kisara rushed to Seto's side as he held his chest in pain, she stood up and her eyes glowed before she was surrounded by a white light, then the white dragon appeared above her and roared a mighty roar.
WITH ATEM,
Atem were riding through the desert towards ruins that was a bit outside of his city, as he got closer to the ruins so did he hear a mighty roar, he recognized the roar as the roar of the White Dragon and he knew that he didn't have any time to lose and rode towards the ruins even faster hoping he would get there in time.
BACK TO SETO AND KISARA,
The White Dragon was staring at the creature while it prepared itself, it then open its mouth and fired its attack at the creature but as the attack hit it so did it split into energy again and flew towards Kisara.
The energy pushed Kisara to the ground and Seto rushed over to her and asked if she were okay. Kisara took and looked at him, "Don't worry about me Seto, I will be alright, I won't let him corrupt your heart like his was".
Seto looked up and saw that the energy once again took the form of that creature again, Aknadin glared and a stone tablet appeared behind the dragon and he got a smirk on his face.
The eye on the creature began to glow and blinded Seto, Kisara and the White Dragon, once the light disappeared so did a magical circle appear and trapped the dragon, Aknadin held out his right hand and a stone tablet appeared, "Now White Dragon, allow yourself to be sealed so that my son can use your power to obtain the throne he deserves". The White Dragon was pulled towards the stone tablet and the sealing process began, however the dragon was fighting it and managed to halt the process halfway through it before it began to try to get free again.
Seto looked at Kisara, "Be strong Kisara, you and your dragon can do this", but as soon as he said that so did a flash appear and a spear of dark magic flew through the poor girl much to Seto's shock and horror. The strike against Kisara weakened the White Dragon enough to make it unable to protect itself and it got sealed in the stone tablet.
Kisara began to fall but Seto caught her and held her tightly, "Stay strong Kisara, stay with me". Kisara looked at him and smiled a sad smile at him, "I'm sorry I could never repay the kindness you showed me years ago, the man who I fell for many years ago".
Then a glow appeared around Kisara and then the stone tablet glowed, Seto closed his eyes as he felt pain on the inside since he knew that her spirit had been sealed along with the dragon's since her spirit were directly connected to the its spirit.
Seto looked at Aknadin with defines in his eyes, Aknadin looked at him, "It looks like I will have to make sure you fulfill your destiny by myself". Seto wondered what he meant and then he saw Aknadin began to glow purple.
WITH ATEM,
Atem had just arrived at the ruin, he knew he had to hurry because he could no longer feel the power of the White Dragon, he ran in to the ruins and saw Seto standing there, he then looked around and saw to his horror that Kisara were on the ground and he also saw a stone tablet with the picture of the White Dragon on it.
He looked at Seto, "Seto, what happened here?" He heard Seto chuckle, "What needed to happen in order for my son to take the throne he deserves from you my dear nephew".
Atem got shocked when he heard that, he got a bad feeling, "Aknadin, is that you?" Seto turned around and had an evil smile on his face, "That's right, my son had a hard time to do what he needed to do in order to be Pharaoh, so I took over his mind in order to do it for him".
Atem stared at him, "Aknadin stop this before it's too late, you can still make things right by helping us stop Zorc from destroying the Egypt and the world". the possessed Seto laughed, "Nice try Atem but I won't fall for your trick, now you will experience the feeling of facing the power of a creature who rivals the Egyptian gods".
Atem got worried as the White Dragon's tablet began to glow and he felt the presence of something really powerful, the possessed Seto lifted his arm, "Now mighty Dragon god of light hear my call, come forth now Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
A bright light appeared from the stone tablet and Atem felt fear inside of him when he saw the White Dragon who he knew was named the Blue-Eyes White Dragon appeared and he felt the dragon's incredible power streaming out of him, he knew that without the gods so would it be nearly impossible for him to take this dragon down.
So now Atem have to face Aknadin who has possessed Seto and now he controls the power of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, can he defeat the dragon and Aknadin? Continue reading to find out and please review.
