Inside a storage container

A brief flash of light as The Doctor, River, and DiNozzo appear out of thin air.

"Well, I'm reminded of why I always hate those things. Feels like a pinto getting put on a broken roller coaster" The Doctor says.

Glancing around "I honestly don't care why I'm in a shipping container, I'm leaving," DiNozzo says.

"Sure, and find yourself in London" River says.

"Whatever Ziva, I'll catch a red-eye flight back home to sanity," DiNozzo says in aggravation.

"Okay have a nice flight" The Doctor replies.

DiNozzo sees both Time Lords head over toward an old, rugged wooden police box propped up against the metal wall. Quietly The Doctor pulls out a key with unlocking the object before pocketing the key.

"Sure, like a nice little box where you two are just going have sex, is any help. Have fun" DiNozzo says.

"Not at all what we are going to do, and if you are in such disbelief why don't you look for yourself? We've got nothing but time" The Doctor replies grinning.

Regardless of every instinct to just get out, only ignores that by walking over past the two aliens casually leaning on the box, Tony enters.

Inside a room

Looking around "Oh my god, you really have lost it this time. Should have not gotten drank so much in college or tried Mr. Moffat and Professor Davis's pot collection" DiNozzo says in shock.

Because all around is wooden paneling with various light sources with a seating area. In the middle of the room is a six-sided metal console hanging from the ceiling by a blue long tube containing long pointed white crystals inside.

Vaguely DiNozzo can hear the wooden doors behind close as the two other users enter.

"This is just impossible. Places are not bigger on the inside like whatever I'm in" DiNozzo says.

"You're in the TARDIS, which stands for Time And Relative Dimension In Space," The Doctor says happily "Otherwise our home."

"How does it work?" DiNozzo asks.

"Putting it in basic terms is different dimensions that are coexisting at once. Science for what my people figured out countless over a billion years previously. First experimented with it during the Dark Times" The Doctor says.

Nodding "Right and what can it do?" DiNozzo asks.

"Space travel obviously and well time travel" River says.

"You're kidding, right? We could prevent the entire murder from happening, or even Kate's" DiNozzo says hopefully.

"No," River says shaking her head "We can't. Putting aside fixed points we are already part of events."

"Guessing it would be very bad if we messed with that, right?" DiNozzo asks rhetorically.

"Now you're catching on," The Doctor says grinning "And yes it would be bad, like time itself unraveling. In human terms imagine Pompeii exploding, San Francisco's Great Fire, Chernobyl, and the flood that Noah built his ark for. You would get half a city block of the whole event."

"Um…" DiNozzo says unsure of adding to that unimaginable horror.

The Doctor and River head over to the console with River just happily watches her husband starting to press buttons on a keyboard, at home once more. DiNozzo joins the two after a moment.

"What are you doing?" DiNozzo asks.

"I can't very well find just where the Cyber ship crashed if I don't start looking. And they leave a specific trail based on their engines, plus when no doubt forcefully ejecting from the Time Vortex" The Doctor says.

"So how helpful was Lumic?" River inquiries.

"Actually, told me a lot. These Cybermen are apparently remnants from the Time War, although based on designs are early Mondas ones" The Doctor replies.

Frowning "Mondas?" DiNozzo asks.

"Earth's twin planet. I faced them centuries ago in the nineteen eighties, and more or less just stalled given Mondas exploded due to natural events. Of course, Mondas remnants have been scattered throughout the galaxy, a few Cyber Wars here or there" The Doctor explains.

"Alongside species including humans have a habit of messing with sciences, taking it in places they shouldn't and end up with Cybermen" River adds grimly.

"Right earth's twin… you know what never mind" DiNozzo says.

Looking at the ceiling scanner screen "The ship crashed landing literally into tunnels beneath Washington DC when leaving the vortex. So, they drilled straight up and commenced an entire operation right underneath Lumic's headquarters" The Doctor says.

"So now let's get to wrecking it," River says.

"Gladly" The Doctor replies.

Reaching down The Doctor starts pressing certain buttons, flipping switches, and pulls down on a lever for a moment. The whole TARDIS seems to hum happily with the crystals beginning to change place. Eventually, after shaking inside a bit The Doctor reaches out gently moving the lever back up.

"So, what happened?" Tony inquiries.

"We've moved" River replies.

"Guessing back to Washington DC," Tony says.

"Yeah, and should hopefully be some hours later during nighttime in a back alley right near a manhole covering," The Doctor says.

"During the night? Crap boss is going to kill me" DiNozzo says pulling out his phone to see various missed calls from Gibbs and Abby alongside text messages from the goth "Wait… your hopeful?"

"Yep," The Doctor says walking to the exit.

"You uh have a plan, right?" DiNozzo asks in aggravation.

"No, why would I? I'm sure I'll think of something when we get down there, these things usually come to me" The Doctor replies.

Looking over "Uh he's joking right?" DiNozzo asks desperately.

"Nope," River says cheerfully.

"Great I won't have to worry about Gibbs killing me, I'll be dead before then" DiNozzo mutters.

River and Tony start heading towards where the Time Lord has left.

Later in tunnels

Using a bright light admitting from his sonic The Doctor alongside River having her blaster pistol removed is making their way near a door. Opening the door as they step inside with looking around noticing a long metal corridor that has obvious damage from walls removed exposing circuitry behind, charred stains on the wall, and up head is various bodies of Cybermen laying ripped apart.

"What happened here?" DiNozzo asks.

"Damage from battles and exiting a time vortex I bet" The Doctor replies.

Nothing much else is spoken out loud while the trio make their way down another tunnel before venturing into a different room. A room that has various pods laid all over, even further up on the ceiling. Inside contain various Cybermen, while others are humans that are a mix of machinery, blood, and flesh.

DiNozzo turns pale white with the only reason unable to throw up is having not eaten in hours. The Doctor and River take in the entire scene with grim faces having seen this several times before, and even worse. Built up centuries worth of far stronger resistance.

"Oh brilliant, that is just brilliant," The Doctor says.

Glaring "What the hell is brilliant? Nothing is good here" DiNozzo yells angrily.

"Keep your voice down, they could be listening" River quietly hisses.

"You really must hate McGee or me if you think I would ever consider the mutilation of any species into something far more horrible than Frankenstein to ever be brilliant" The Doctor replies disgustedly "Rather I was commenting on discovering a power source so I can end this madness."

"Ah, the massive blue glow machine over there. I must admit I've seen better, and it looks really basic. I don't think the ship was designed this way" River notes.

"Because it's not. Like we know the Cybermen were barely hanging on, they had to reroute all power into this room, and I bet those wires help funnel it up above" The Doctor says.

Rushing forward The Doctor slides over and crouches down next to the machine immediately pulling apart panels. Beginning to work on the machine The Doctor pulls out his screwdriver to assist.

Unfortunately, various Cybermen start waking up from inside their protective shells with starting to make their out. River rapidly unholstering her gun begins firing while the other Cybermen start shooting. Unholstering his handgun DiNozzo begins firing yet the bullets don't have much effect for truly stopping other than bouncing around given the far more advanced gear.

"Sweetie if you could work a bit faster that would be preferred" River yells.

"I'm trying here! The system keeps trying to kick me out and I'd rather get this right, so we don't blow ourselves up" The Doctor replies messing with cylinders, and wires.

Running over Tony ducks from the laser bolts for crouching down beside the Time Lord.

"What can I do to help?" Tony inquiries.

"Keep your head down so it doesn't get shot," The Doctor says before grinning "Ah ha, got it."

"Got what? A way to shut these things down?" Tony asks.

"Yeah, but it means I send out an EMP designed to take out cyber tech frying the user," The Doctor says regretfully.

"We can't. We would be killing them; we have to find some other way" Tony replies.

Sighing "Either I do this or the Cybermen recreate Mondas from a junk collection," The Doctor says grimly.

"I'm not going to let you murder innocent people" Tony snarls.

"Most are probably already dead, lobotomized. Maybe if not fully converted could survive but that's risky" The Doctor replies.

Tony attempts to punch The Doctor only for the Time Lord grabbing him by the shirt firmly holds DiNozzo in place against the machine, while connecting the final wires together. Suddenly the machine starts groaning for admitting blue light from within as The Doctor and DiNozzo quickly back up.

"River, we need to move now" The Doctor yells.

"I thought you said we would be safe" Tony replies angrily.

"We're at ground zero… now move," The Doctor says harshly.

The Doctor ducks from another laser blast with Tony following rapidly on his heels while they catch up with River for running out of the room. The Cybermen suddenly start slowing down yet stay president in their objective.

Only proves futile as The Doctor, River, and Tony manage to get up on the street with entering the TARDIS which dematerializes just as the Cybership explodes.

Hope you this was enjoyable and up next will be the final chapter.

Until next time.
