A/N.: Okay, so I had the scrap for this for some time, I even referred to the book this time to make it accurate – and to make sure I didn't leave anything out. So, sorry I took so long. Review?

This year promised to be awful, stressful and downright terrible. Barty Crouch Jr freed himself from his father's clutches and before he knew it, he had a mad man grovelling at his feet. He was going to pay for this, even more so, because Barty forced a "brilliant plan" on him.

See there was not much the Dark Lord did these days. Gaining a feeble body and maintaining its existence at all, was extremely taxing, so he ate and slept most of the time. Eating was a chore, not to mention disgusting as he had to feed on snake milk, magical herbs and magical essence that sadly came from Wormtail.

Sleeping was maddening and elating at once. He had a link to Harry and every time he closed his eyes, with a bit of help from Legilimency he could see his boy's days. He already promised painful death to the whole family after the first day, and extended the list to the husband's sister and her dogs even as he felt pride swell his chest when Harry blew her up.

Dumbledore was first on the list already, with all his meddling when he didn't even know what he did, otherwise he would've moved up, placing his son in that environment and not checking, or worse, intentionally leaving him there. Dumbledore hated him even when he was a kid for taking revenge on those who deserved it, and living up to his blood, scaring and leading his Lily away from him, just because he, Dumbledore deemed him not good enough for such a brilliant witch. Because of course he would kill hurt her, he "wasn't capable of love" and whatnot. He hated that man. Anyway.

Harry didn't exactly use wandless magic, but directed accidental magic was as close as one could get before it turned to wandless. The only difference between the two was the emotions. When one used accidental magic, it was fuelled by emotions and couldn't be stopped at will. Wandless magic mostly focused on directing and controlling the emotions, to fuel, stop and use magic with them as one wanted to.

He was sad when he felt Harry's presence as he took over the Riddle Manor, but there was nothing to do about it, Nagini couldn't shield her mind like he could.

So now he had Wormtail, who was useless and Barty who lost his mind after long years under the Imperious. Barty told him, that he had to gain a new body – that was really old news – and to use a dark ritual to gain it, with Harry's blood.

Yes, he wanted a body, no, he didn't plan initially to use Harry in any way, and no, he didn't want dark magic to taint his new body on molecular level. Not like he had a choice.

Seeing as he had two mind links, and the other, to Nagini was just like the one he had towards Harry, he had to remove that one. Oh, he knew about the Prophecy, and knew it to be genuine, but what nobody else knew was that, neither of them had to stay dead, fully dead at the end, to fulfil that tripe.

Harry had a tiny fragment of him inside, and that one had to go – or had it? The first time Harry would be killed by the Avada, he had a "safety net", and he, he had an anchor.

Now, he would've changed the plans, but even if Barty was loyal, he was crazy first, and if he didn't live up to expectations, there was no telling what he would do. That was extremely clear after that catastrophic Quidditch World Cup incident. He would allow things until he regained his body and was strong enough to get rid of the man.

So the Triwizard Tournament plans went on, and Barty took Moody's place as DADA teacher.

The scandal when Harry's name came out was ridiculous. He didn't know if he should be glad that the wizarding world was so oblivious or enraged that they would attack his child at the first signs, without asking him at least first.

He was disappointed with Harry's friends, but mostly he could forgive the girl, even if she wasn't as good as his Lily was. The Weasley was not worth the trouble on the other hand. Not loyal, not smart, not anything. Even with the strategic abilities, he was hot-headed, and too rash to be of any value.

The others' behaviour was appalling. He was glad Barty would help Harry at least, even if he was mad. His worry turned to fury in all its red hot glory when he saw Rita Skeeter's pieces. That woman was going to suffer long and hard.

He timed his rests to the Tournament's trials, wanting to see how Harry was doing. They were some of the worst times of his life, afraid for his son's life, but he woke up every time with long sighs of relief.

He "accidentally" let Crouch Sr. to run, hoping for him to reveal his spy. No such luck. At least now he wasn't a problem at all. He sent word to Barty that he wanted the portkey two-ways, to make a grand entrance after he regained his body and "killed his nemesis".

When the time came, Wormtail had all the things needed, but to his horror – not that he showed it – his noble son shared the victory, and sent the other boy to his death. The following resurrection – subtle revelation of his Death Eaters – and duelling was spectacular. He knew that he didn't lose his touch even after these years. Some of it, his son had too, seeing he had a Slytherin side that was stronger and stronger as the years went by, but he hid it perfectly. The only person who could see it didn't, because of the glamour making him the clone of Potter's.

He hated torturing his son, but the most he could do was ensure his way to escape. Now, he would have to execute his plans. One of which was to communicate with his son, and tell him his story, answer his questions and so on. The one thing he had to wait for, to get his own answer, was to see if the old codger would place his dear one back to that horrible place "under BLOOD wards", after he got to know how he took Harry's blood to get a body back.

He was contemplating long and hard if he wanted to switch the blood sample to another, but being able to touch his son, and rescue him later was essential in his plans, so he regretfully decided to do it.

When Harry got back, the following interrogations revealed that Dumbles didn't care for his son, only for him. His underlings were ousted, but he didn't place much faith in the "Light side's" effectiveness. He decided that the ones needed revealing were the ones that had contact with Harry, so his list went as such: Malfoy, Macnair, Avery, Nott, Crabbe, Goyle. Avery was the bonus thrown in, not to make others suspicious. The grunts were going to be easy to control, but the other two with sons – Malfoy and Nott – were going to get a bit *cough*Imperious*cough* encouragement. Macnair, Avery and Karkarov were sentenced to fate similar to Barty's, and Wormtail, with his betrayal and all around behaviour would be given back all the hurt he caused before following the others.

Now, his secret favourite, the one he knew was a good man most of the time and spy first would be set to see if he could pass a long and harsh trial, but he would be rewarded if he could.

He had much to do, and sadly with all those plans whirling in his head, he left his followers to do as they wished. It was an honest mistake, but after the following articles he would have more to persuade his son of the truth. He had a summer to plan and start.

A/N.: I'll start deviating from the original around here. So what do you think so far? Is there anything you'd like to see happen in the future?
