Girls' Night
"Pour them up!" called out Rosalie.
The bartender poured the Bloody Marys lined up in a row as we all cheered him on.
"You're my favorite bartender, Riley!" exclaimed Alice from my left.
Rosalie giggled and handed out the drinks, first leaving a big tip for the cute guy who'd poured them.
"He's certainly nice eye candy," she said, sitting down next to me. "It almost makes up for the no-strippers rule you implemented on us, girl."
I rolled my eyes. "I didn't want a stranger covered in oil with a bad tan rubbing their junk all over me. I already have the perfect man—he's all I need."
"You're so lucky, Bella," Rose sighed. "I wish I had a man who worshipped me like your Edward."
"Well, my cousin Emmett's coming for the wedding," piped up Alice.
"What's he like?"
"Goofy, sweet, and strong," I described him. "He's also built like a brick shithouse. He plays football—defense."
"Shit, he sounds like my kind of man!"
"I prefer a more laid-back and southern gentleman," said Alice.
"You mean Jasper," I said, mentioning her history classmate.
"What can I say?" Alice shrugged. "I have a thing for men with an accent and charm."
"And we all know what Bella likes!" Rosalie laughed. "Sex hair, green eyes and the brooding type."
I giggled, not denying it because she'd described Edward to a T.
"Don't forget the long fingers and a jaw so sharp it could cut glass!" added Alice.
"I have great taste in men!"
"We all do!"
"Hear, hear!"
We finished our drinks and ordered another round. Soon the toast became more serious, and then Alice was making me cry with her sweet speech, welcoming me into the family.
"I can't wait for you to officially become a Cullen," she whisper-yelled at me.
"I can't wait to be Mrs. Edward Cullen!"
"One week, girl," said Rosalie, toasting the last of her third Bloody Mary.
"ONE WEEK!" Alice and I cheered, clinking our glasses together.
Just one week, until I married the man of my dreams.
