Chapter 3.

Sky was at my side still. His ears were pricked back and his lips in a snarl. I looked at him, he was growling at a bush. I let go of Marik's hand. I said nothing. I was quite confused.

"What is it, sweetheart?" Marik asked.

"One, don't ever call me that. Two, I don't know. Sky heard something." I replied.

Marik's hand was on his sword handle, I had no idea it what was there. Probably to protect me. He looked around and saw no one. I heard a gun shot! Again. In my head I remembered something, the killer wasn't a mistake, but a horrible meaning. The gunsman must've been hurt by my mother and father or something. I saw a bullet go for Marik, I threw a branch at the bullet, making him flinch.

He must've been surprised on how my accuracy was so good. I practiced a lot with just anything I need. I heard another gunshot at me, I ducked and Marik did the same. It hit a tree. Sky wasn't at my side. I freaked out that the guy stole my best friend's life, but saw him near a bush.

Sky jumped on the man and tore the gun out of his hands. I walked over to Sky, he wasn't hurt. He was growling in his throat and I saw a lady. Not a man. I was quite confused, she looked like my mother but with black hair, only smaller.

"Who are you?" I asked the lady.

"My name is Susan. Just my code name. You will not know me as anyone else. You look familiar though." Susan said, "I've never been caught before much less a princess's pet wolf."

"You're coming with me." Marik said, holding the sword at her chin.

She smiled evilishly and said, "Fine."

I was really on my guard when Marik had her arms behind her back and she was looking at her gun, I was holding it. I examined it, it was my favorite gun, Mossberg MMR Hunter Flat Top .223 20 rounds black! I twirled it around and put it in my foot. Marik looked surprised on how talented and aggressive I could be.

We went into the castle, Sky was in front of me. I froze when my grandfather had a gun to his head. He was shaking from anger and fear. I growled with Sky. We were both really angry. My grandfather shook his head.

I stared at my grandfather and sighed. It was clear that he didn't see Susan. I moved and he saw her. He quickly ran to hug her. I gasped in shock. Her eyes were exactly like my mother's! Marik looked at me and gripped my hand and looked down when I shook him off. I ran to my grandfather and gently pulled him away.

"No! My daughter, Mai!" he said, loudly.

Susan looked at him with no memory of him, "You deserve to die."

"What? Why?"

"Because Rebecca's my daughter and she has become a great warrior. She belongs with me."

That threw my off. I reached for her gun, it was still there. I snarled like Sky would and cried a little and shook my head, "I'm nothing like you for you. Even if you're my dear mother."

I pulled the trigger and shot my own mother. It was official now, she was dead. I smiled before wiping the tears from my face.

My grandfather looked at me with sadness.

"Is it true? You fight?" he asked me.

"Yes. I saved Marik today from my mother's bullet." I said.

Marik added, "It's true."
