Scanning charge! Chapter 8 is here!

as always, i do not own anything. It is pretty obvious that I, a random person on the internet, do not own Neon Genesis Evangelion, nor Rebuild Of Evangelion, nor ANIMA nor Kamen Rider Decade blah blah blah i will skip the unimportant stuff.

Daily music recommendation: Dark Shark Rock - ドンムラサメ(CV:村瀬歩).

so, chapter 8 it is. It has been a blast writing this fanfic, but I felt that something isn't right. Yes, there isn't enough information(or details) in one chapter! But too much lore might make the story become stale and boring, and I do not want to bore you readers. So, I have found a solution! I will try to balance the necessary stuffs and fun stuffs in each chapter, or at least I hope I could do it properly.

I might as well rewrite chapter 0 too, because half of the readers dropped the story in the first chapter (proof? Chapter 0 has ~800 views and chapter 1 has about 350. Oof.). Moving on, with that out of the way, let's begin this chapter, shall we?

Chapter 8: Confrontation, part 1

A/N: Greed, the desire to take something from someone and make it yours. Many people don't realize how stupid they are to steal something that isn't theirs in the first place.

"Greeting, gentlemen." Keel Lorenz, the Chairman of Human Instrumentality Commitee said while facing twelve ominous monoliths floating in front of him. His lips twitched into a genuine smile, and The visor over his eyes flashed a red light. "Shall we begin our meeting?"

It has been several weeks after their first victory against the Third Angel, also the first battle of mankind in the Angel War. He was pleased to hear that there was little to none collateral damage at Tokyo-3, the battleground of Angel War, and the Evangelions haven't sustained any heavy injuries, so the cost of their first battle was minimal. Greedy as he was, Keel was happy that it all went smoothly to his plan.

"Then, I will start first." The monolith labeled as SEELE 03 began his report, the 'sound only' white text on it brightened at every word. "As we already know, we had succeeded in our first step toward the Human Instrumentality Project, which is testing if the Evangelions' ability to battle the Angels. So far the result has been satisfactory. However," The monolith turned around and looked at the other monolith standing near it, labeled as SEELE 04 and SEELE 05. It continued with a distorted tone. "I have discussed with 04 and 05 here about our organization's authority over NERV-Japan and their EVAs and ways to prevent Gendo Ikari to pull any trick on us. We suggest sending some 'inspectors' to the NERV's branch in question to avoid such scenerio."

"Your suggestion is dutifully noted, 03." Keel Lorenz nodded his head, assuring the monoliths. "We will send Special Inspector Ryoji Kaji to NERV-Japan after Unit 02 is finished." Satisfied with his answer, SEELE 03 stepped back at his place. SEELE 06 was about to begin his report but another monolith labeled as SEELE 01 stepped up from its place. Surprised, the SEELE 06 went silent, waiting for the situation to unfold itself.

"Noah." Keel said, his eyes were staring dead in the eye of the 01 monolith. "It's not your turn to report. Please step down and let the other start their speech."

"No." Came the distorted voice of SEELE 01. "Chairman Keel, I have questions about your goal. And I want you to answer those questions honestly."

"Do you wish to be banished from SEELE, Noah?" Keel's irritation grew larger and larger as the monolith continued his speech. "This behavior is not tolerated here, and I will not answer anything that came from a traitorous bastard." He spat. "Have you forgotten the fact that you are only here because the organization has found a use for you? Don't dare forget the accident fifteen years ago."

"No, Chairman Keel, I do not, and I have changed since the incident. But I can also say the same to you, Mr. Chairman."

"Continue." Lorenz was curious about what Noah, SEELE 01 has to say.

"Why did you betray us, Keel Lorenz?"

Keel was unsurprisingly dumbfounded by the sudden accusation. "What nonsense are you talking about, Noah?"

"We have found this Scroll you hid from us." An image was projected onto a white screen behind Keel, and he turned to look at a scroll of black paper floating on the screen. Immediately after, the image changed, showing the inside of the Black Scroll.

"This scroll was deciphered by my assistants." Noah said, and the scroll image changed to the image of the large drawing inside the scroll, showing a vague Evangelion-shaped Angel growling, with the space around it twisted and broken like glasses. There was a sentence under the drawing, written by an unknown language. "It said here: 'The world was destroyed by greed and hatred of man. The world has failed Him.'." The monolith looked its colleagues, checking if anyone has a question. "Why did you hide this scroll, Keel Lorenz? Has everything SEELE has done for naught? Answer me, Keel Lorenz. I do not accept the fact that we just wasted a colossal amount of money and dedication fifteen years straight just for nothing! What is your motive, Chairman!?" The distorted voice was trembling with anger.

"What are you talking about?!" Unable to contain his surprise, Keel yelled unprofessionally. "Where the hell did you get that scroll!? There wasn't even a Black Scroll in the first place!"

"Cease your nonsense, Keel Lorenz. We have found the Scroll stored inside one of your bases, through some unconventional methods, we have access to this scroll." Noah spat. "We will demote you from Chairman to Representative of SEELE, which means you will not be able to intervene in our grand operation anymore. You have failed us, Keel Lorenz."

Another monolith stepped up, the monolith was labeled as SEELE 02. "You will be constantly watched from now on, Former Chairman. One slip of tongue and you will know that death is not the harshest thing that can happen to a man. Dismiss."

The twelve monoliths disappeared, and the room's white light was turned on again. Standing like a statue, Keel tried to comprehend what in the world just happened to him and his role in SEELE. He asked himself a lot of questions, none of it was answered properly, such as what was that Black Scroll, how were they able to get it and why the hell is it stored inside his bases-

Keel Lorenz was very confused. His confusion even increased dramatically when his door was kicked open by a SWAT team and he was kidnapped what the hell is going on-

The room was quickly emptied when the SWAT team stepped out and ran away as quickly as they had entered his room. Keel Lorenz was announced as MIA that day.

'Stop. Stop, or I will hurt you, I swear! So stop moving! I'm not the one you are looking for, so back off!' The boy in black held his blade firmly, pointing at the mysterious woman in her yellow sundress.

'Try it, then. Are you afraid to hurt a girl? Fufu, still the baka I knew. So sensitive, so cowardly. Come to me, Shinji.'

'Stop! Don't get any closer! Get out! Get out of my head! You are not real! None of this is real!' He finally started to panic. 'Who are you!? Where the hell am I! What the hell are you talking about!?'

'Come with me, Shinji. Lord Longinus... is waiting for you. We will be together forever, my love. Even if I'm not who I used to be now, I can still hold you.'

'This time, you won't leave me again.' The woman continued as she opened her palm, offering a hand to the scared boy. 'Now, wake up, baka Shinji. Let's this little dance of ours... begin.'

She opened her eyes. The boy screamed, dropping the blade to the ground and held his head in pain. The woman just stood there smiling.

"Hey, Toji. Wake up man, look!" Kensuke quietly shook his friend's shoulder, causing the jock to sheepishly open his eyes. Grumbling, Toji looked at his concerned nerd friend.

"What is it, Ken?"

"Look!" Kensuke hissed quietly, his hand pointing at Shinji, the new kid who was sitting behind Toji. He turned his back and faced the boy who was staring at the window, whose face was being deadly pale for some unknown reason, as if he had just seen something too horrifying for his feeble mind to comprehend. "What is he doing? He looked like he was about to meet Death!"

"I don't know, man." Toji whispered, barely loud enough for his friend can hear. "Should we try to wake him up? The guy is being weird." After seeing Kensuke nodding his head, Toji placed his right hand on one of Shinji's shoulder.

And he immidiately regretted it.

"AAAAAHHH-um!?" Shinji's scream was quickly cut short by the jock placing his hand on his mouth, who was using his other hand to cover his right ear.

"Shh! We are still in class, Shin-man!" Placing a finger on his lip, Toji Suzuhara said quietly to his friend. "Don't panic, that will make the teacher notice us. Lunch is minutes away, so keep your mouth shut."

Clumsily nodding, Shinji was able to sit back normally after being released. He quickly decided it was the best to keep silent and wait for the bell to rang.

The bell finally rang and the three boys walked out of the class for lunch. Both Toji and Kensuke were staring at Shinji behind his back, who was behaving very strangely, because a few minutes ago he was screaming maniacally(almost, because Toji succeeded in shutting him off with his hands). Really odd, if you asked Kensuke and Toji. Their usually cheerful friend is sullen now? Something bad must have happened.

"So," Toji opened his mouth, decided to ask his new friend about what was bothering him. "Did you have a seizure or something?"

"Toji!" Kensuke squeaked like a little mouse, he was still serious about his friend's condition. "Are you stupid?!" He was mad at his jock friend.

"What! I'm not being rude this time! Just concerned for Shin-man, ya know?" Toji said before stopping Shinji and looked at him. "What happened to you, man? Did something go wrong or something?" He then fistbumped his friend's chest. "You can tell us, we're your friend!"

"Yeah, what is it?" Kensuke said.

"Ah, it's probably nothing." Shinji assured them with a awkward smile, but still a smile regardless. "A little headache is all. Oh, did you see the woman who has red hair outside the window? Blue eyes, yellow sundress? An European, I think?" The boy asked. Both of his friends looked at him as if he was trying to crack a joke.

"So the cause of your headache is a beauty, huh?" Toji grinned mischievously. "What is this, love at the first sight? Man, you are a real one, aren't 'cha?"

Ignoring his friend, Kensuke shook his head before answering. "No, I don't I have ever seen someone with red hair here before. You sure you weren't daydreaming, dude?"

"No, I swear." Shinji's face turned dead serious for a split second. "The woman... I don't think I was daydreaming, Kensuke. There is something dangerous about her. I can't tell what is exactly wrong, but I think we are being watched."

"Aside from the guys in black who always hide in the bushes?"

"Yeah, aside from them. Hello!" Shinji waved at a tree, and a branch of the tree started floating and waved back at him. "Anyways, if you encounter someone like that, run away."

Toji laughed. "Pfffff, running away? That's totally uncool, man, running from a girl! I ain't no coward!"

"Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want." Shinji rolled his eyes. "Just... be careful. Can we go get lunch already? I'm hungry already."

"Alright then, we won't question you anymore. I'm also starving for some good food now." Kensuke chimed in, ending the conversation. As he was about to adjust his glasses, a strand of red appeared in front of him, and he grabbed it to inspect the item. "Hey, Shin-man, what is this?" He then asked, holding the strand in his hand and holding it in front of the boy.

"Huh?" Shinji glanced at the red hair shaft. "Hey, this looks familiar... Where did you find this?"

"Dunno." Answered Kensuke innocently. "It just appeared in front of me for some reason."

"Oh, okay then." Shinji shrugged the matter off. "Probably nothing. Come on, boys, let's go! Time for lunch!"

Kensuke was puzzled at his friend's sudden cheerfulness. Was him trying to avoid the matter? Well, if Shinji wanted it that way, he might as well go along with it. It might just be his friend being paranoid. Oh well, Kensuke didn't care about it at all. Right now, he has to answer the call of nature: which is eating lunch with his friends, of course. Walking happily, he followed his friends to the school's canteen, the three walked in companionable silence.

He didn't notice his strand of red hair he was holding at the moment had vanished into thin air.

"Dr Akagi, Pattern Blue detected! It's in the middle of Tokyo-3!" Lieutenant Maya Ibuki said with a trembling voice, clearly puzzled about this sudden development. She widened her eyes at the pattern-detecting monitor. "Wait, it's changing into white? Doctor Akagi, please take a look at this!"

"What." The faux-blonde doctor stared at her underling's computer concernedly. "Is this a new type of Angel? What in the world... -Agh!?"

Suddenly, a headache appeared out of nowhere, and Doctor Akagi closed her eyes in agony! Holding her head, Ritsuko Akagi almost puked before collapsing to the floor. Luckily, her assistant quickly reached her hands out, catching her superior's pale body. She didn't know what was happening to her boss, but she quickly figured out the monitor was the cause.

"Chief Akagi! Aoba, Makoto, close the monitor! It is hurting Miss Akagi's head for some reason!" Maya held her superior in her hands, trying to calm the scientist down. The two Lieutenant nodded and turned off the white monitor, and Makoto slammed the alert button.

'There's a very high chance that this was another Angel's attack.' The blonde doctor thought, trying to think of a way to solve this new problem appeared from nowhere. 'The Pattern White... Its source was located in Tokyo-3, and its signal wasn't as large as the usual Pattern Blue. The enemy is most likely to be human-sized. Damn it, how the hell are we going to fight an Angel without an Evangelion?!'

"Initiate security protocol!" Akagi bit her teeth to stay awake, her pain still hadn't subsided at the slightest. "Immidiately send a team to go search for the object of this Pattern White and secure it! I will act as the temporary director of operations from now until Captain Katsuragi arrives!"

It was another Angel's attack... right?

"See ya later, Shinji!"

"Good bye you two, I will see you tomorrow! Sorry because I wasn't able to go to the arcade with ya!" I yelled, waving goodbye to Toji and Kensuke.

School was finally over, and I waved goodbye to my two friends. Today was very fun, aside from the unusual daydream. That and the old teacher, who was babbling about Second Impact all day. Whatever. I can't wait to get home and talk about the dream with Sachiel. It was about someone with red hair tried to shake my hand, I think? Very weird, considering I have never seen anyone with that red hair before, aside from the woman in the yellow sundress I saw this morning.

It was a lovely afternoon, with fresh breezes of the wind caressing my face as I walked home. I hummed Ode To Joy to myself. Thankfully my house is quite near to the school(and Misato-san's apartment too, I was surprised to see that our houses were only three blocks away. Also the reason I managed to go to school on time.) so I didn't spend too much time walking home.

However, as I walked, I felt being watched by someone. I stopped, stood in the crowd of pedestrians to concentrate myself, trying to 'feel' the source of my discomfort. No one seemed to pay attention to me, as they just shrugged their heads and left. I'm glad that I didn't cause a commotion for standing like a statue inside the crowd of people.

...Yes, it's that feeling again. I turned my back to look at my surroundings. Somebody was watching me and constantly releasing some sort of weird yellow waves of energy in the air. I looked up at the nearby buildings, trying to find the source of the energy waves. It was a futile attempt however, as I didn't know what or who was even spreading their light(or in scientifically convenient term of Dr Akagi, A.T Fields) at the moment.

It is just like Sachiel's A.T Field. Wait a minute, I slapped my hand to my face.

"I'm currently inside the enemy's territory, aren't I?" Finally realizing the issue, I sighed heavily.

What was I even thinking!? Okay, calm down me, calm down. I'm sure that I can do something to defend myself here.

It looked like Shamshel is lurking around here, no doubt about that. The yellow hexagonal waves on the sky kept wavering, floating around like the dim sunlight of the afternoon's sunset. I noticed that no one was paying attention to it, so I guess I'm the only one who could see it. They kept expanding and expanding before eventually covering the sky with its yellow light.

Things are about to get ugly, huh?

'Sachiel.' I thought, calling the consciousness of the Third Angel resting in my soul.

'On it.' The image of Sachiel quickly appeared from my mind after hearing my words. Nodding with his skeletal bird mask(?), he gave me a clumsy thumb up with his three-fingered hand. 'Good luck, Uncle.'

'Good, prepare our trump card as fast as possible, Sachiel. We are going to need it soon.' I muttered under my breaths. 'Especially when our foe is something as illogically abnormal as your pop. I'm afraid that your sister might has already- I mean.' I stopped mid-sentence, couldn't bring myself to continue the conversation. 'Forget about it. Let's go.'

The image of the Third Angel held his head low, he must had already figured it out. Nodding one last time, he disappeared from my mind.

...

I wordlessly took a sharp turn, trying to find a way to a place that no one could see me. I ran, heading to the abandoned parking lot I saw on the way to school. That would be a good place to confront the Seraphim.

I stared at the abandoned house in front of me. Apperently I was hallucinating for the second time. No, I swear, I never do drugs, trust me bro.

This house was not here before. In fact, this place was supposed to be a parking lot. Last time I checked, I certainly do not have schizophrenia. This is probably some artificial illusion trying to lure me in or my mind trying to fool me. Pretty sure it is the former.

'Enter the house.'

Shut up intrusive thought, not this time. I don't want another accident like the last time you told me to stick my hand under the bed and got me captured by the monster living under my bed! Still holding my backpack in my hand, I stared at the house's front door while raising an eyebrow up, suspecting the uncanny house. This house is very suspicious, like the hit game Among U-

'One.' The voice started counting from one to three.

No, I'm NOT going into there. Stop talking already, inner voice.

'Two.'

Nope, shut the hell up, random voice in my head. I will not take such stupid order from such a suspicious voice like you! Bleh! I sticked my tongue out, taunting the house. There was air pumping out from the side of the house for some reason, indicating that the house was angry at my immature posture.

'Three.'

Is something going to happen now if you count to three? Wait, you already counted to three- WOAH!? Ow, what the hell are grabbing my waist?!

'Time's up.'

As I was busily handling my monologue in my head, a tendril(?) out of nowhere grabbed my waist and pulled me up to the sky before slamming me to the ground. Gritting my teeth, I stomped the ground, trying to jump back to escape the bind, but as I was fighting the tendril, another one appeared and wrapped around my right arm! Desperately trying to get the stupid things off my body, I tried to bite them. Needless to say, it wasn't effective in the slightest.

And it really went downhill from there.

"Looks like we met again, baka Shinji. Eager to meet me again, huh?"

It was a woman's voice. Also, stop calling me an idiot already, I barely knew you.

The house has faded away, revealing a gorgeous red-haired teenager in her iconic yellow dress I've seen her wear for the third time of the day.

"You... Is this your doing?" I looked at the fiery red-haired girl who appeared out of nowhere, standing in front of me with her hands crossed under her chest. "I don't want to sound disrespectful, but drop the act already. Also, is it just me or you are looking younger than before?"

It really was she again, huh. The woman I saw at the schoolyard, also the woman who appeared in my dream. It's no doubt that she was the newly-evolved Seraphim, Shamshel. Seems like it wasn't a simple coincidence.

"My, my, quite brave, huh? You sure have grown several pairs of ball to muster up the courage to say that in my face." She clearly ignored my question.

"First off, no, I don't think we have ever met before." I said nonchalantly. "Secondly, I didn't grow any balls. Thirdly, would you kindly release me from your not-so-welcoming tendrils? I don't want to repeat the question again. And you still haven't answered my previous question-"

She shook her head, cutting my sentence before continuing. "Sadly, the answer is no. Now shut up and follow me-"

"Then I'm afraid that this will hurt a lot."

Manifesting his black light into a sharp black disc, the boy severed both of the tendrils cleanly with ease by spinning it at a incredible speed. Surprised by the sudden violence, Shamshel jumped backward to dodge the flying disc aimed at her. Her irritation grew sharply as more and more tendrils appeared behind her back and flew towards the boy. Skillfully dodging each tendrils(the tendrils ended up destroying the parking lot's cars), Shinji manifested more shurikens from his black A.T Field and threw it, successfully cancelling most of her attacks.(which also dealt significantly high property damage as a result of carelessness.)

Shinji gritted his teeth again as his body collided to the ground. He quickly got up and dodged to the side, avoiding being impaled or grabbed by countless tendrils that were growing from the woman's back. Her fiery red hair was burning literally, and her blue hollow eyes were changed into a pair of crimson orbs. The boy silently cursed as his weaponry was slowly cut short from the continous barrage of the light tendrils' attacks. Soon, he was exhausted, barely able to create another shuriken. Dashing forward, he prepared his secret weapon from his armory, a spiked knuckle(he took a lot of time to create this) and slammed his fist on the girl!

The two clashed. Shamshel was using one of her tendrils as a shield, blocking the black knuckle in Shinji's palm. The two A.T Fields crashed against eachother, Shamshel's shining A.T field was able to overpower Shinji's black A.T Field. Using his last ditch effort, the boy used his elbows to incaptipate his formidable foe, giving her a taste of his elbow. However, not only it wasn't able to damage the girl at the slightest, this further increased the redhead's fury.

Now irritated, Shamshel kicked him to the sky and jumped, landing a heavy blow at Shinji's right chest. Unable to dodge in time, the boy felt his all of his ribs being crushed at once, the bone-breaking sound was terrifying to everyone who heard it. This time Shamshel smirked at the heavily injured boy lying on the ground, who was barely able to breathe as his body suffered from bloodloss.

"That was impressive, Third. Black A.T Field, something must have changed. My initution was right, you was the source of that energy flowing inside Unit 01 while you were connected to my husk. Figure." She said, pointing a sharp tendril at his face. "Still, it's no match for this current me. Now shut up and sleep, I will cure you back to normal in no time. Lord Longinus would be pissed at me for trying to harm her precious cutie-pie, after all."

As she was about to sit down and start healing the boy back to normal to escort him to her master, a triangle painted in black appeared behind her. The triangle suddenly grew in size before shattering into many hexagonal pieces. The pieces floated in the air around them, but Shamshel didn't notice it.

His hand suddenly reached forward, attempting strangle the girl's neck with his remaining good hand.

"...What are you?" His voice was cracked due to the injury. However, there was a tone of anger visible in his voice.

"What am I, huh?" She asked him back playfully, completely unfazed by his action, or rather, his action wasn't even harming her in the slightest. "I'm Shamshel, Fourth Angel."

"No. I-it can't be." He balled his fist. "You already are a Seraphim!?"

Now it's her turn to be surprised. "How did you know this? "

"Now you aren't Shamshel the Fourth Angel. You are Shamshel the First Seraphim." he spat, releasing a right hook at her pretty face, knocking her to the side. "Die!"

The black shards on the sky flew down on the girl like a streak of meteors, reducing the girl to merely dust. Or at least that's how Shinji thought things would turn out. Dust flew through the air, hindering his ability to see, so he couldn't make sure of his victory.

A slender hand emerged from the dusty air and grabbed his neck, causing him to yelp in surprise. The grip was getting stronger and stronger, and the girl added another hand on his throat.

With half of her face remained unscathed and the other half was on fire. Why was it burning in the first place!? Shamshel laughed manically, completely unharmed from the attack(aside from the other half of her face). "Damn, that hurt, baka Shinji." Her voice wasn't full of malice as he'd thought. "Too bad I have the upper hand now."

Struggling to escape, the lack of oxygen has finally hit him. His head was in a trance, mixed between dreams and reality. He started to see butterflies flying around his head for some reason.

"D-damn it." He said exhaustedly.

"Finally give in? What a shame." She clicked her tongue in annoyance and pouted. "It would be more enjoyable if you could keep this a little longer, but I guess that couldn't be expected from you baka, he he."

"But now, let's go to my place." She flashed a evil grin on her face. "Let's go, baka."

"..." He didn't answer.

"Baka Shinji?" Shamshel loosened her grip and looked at the boy. His eyes were closed, and his chest stopped beating. Shamshel instantly paled.

"Oh no. Shinji. Shinji!" She grabbed both of his shoulders and shook him up and down like a doll. "Wake up! Wake up! Don't leave me like that!"

To her surprise, Shinji DID respond. By a kick to her waist, that is. He began to hyperventilating as his face was touched by Mother Earth as the fiery redhead lied on the ground, holding her stomach in pain.

"Funny, eh?" Shinji tried to get up but failed and sat on the ground instead. He then lied on the ground due to the fatigue. "C-can't believe you fell for that trick."

"Idiot! I thought you was almost killed again!" She yelled as tears dropped on her cheeks. Wait a minute, she's sobbing?! Shinji widened his eyes at this sudden development. "Don't ever do that again, or I will impale you with a fucking spoon, understood!?"

"Uh, yes, sorry?" Bewildered, Shinji can only apologize to the clearly hurt redhead. Scratching his head, Shinji tried to get up again "Um, to my defense, you almost suffocated me."

"I was only playing with you!" She pouted, wiping her tears away with a handkerchief that Shinji failed to understand where and how she got it, as the dress has no pocket. "I could heal you back to normal with a touch, you know. Perks of being a Seraphim." She said, still lying on the ground. Her eyes which were looking at the sky shifted back to the sitting boy, who was slightly bruised and battered. His white shirt was torn apart from the fight.

"Uh-huh. Still hurt though."

"Man up, baka Shinji! You're a boy!"

"I don't think anyone would survive encountering you." Shinji said, his eyes were looking at the red-haired teen, smiling devilishly. "Miss Seraphim."

"Such hurtful words!?" A metaphorical arrow appeared out of nowhere and stabbed her in the chest, her body was pushed backwards by the power of words. "Idiot! You don't know how to talk to a maiden at all!"

"A iron maiden." She actually chuckled at his attempt to joke, but her irritation still hadn't subsided.

"Baka! Insensitive idiot! Pervert!" She laughed, poking him on his chest with her finger. Shinji blushed at the close proximity between him and the red-haired girl. "So, what now?" She asked, putting her hands on the ground, trying to relax herself.

"I don't know. I originally came here to fight you to the death and get information but eh, I don't wanna fight you anymore." He shrugged. "Do you wanna come over to my house? I got a lot of questions-" He was cut abruptly as a slender hand of a girl made contact with his face.

"Ow! What gives!" He touched the red part of his cheek that suffered from the wrath of the red-haired teen.

"You pervert!" Steam was fuming over her head, her face was beet red as a tomato. It finally dawned on him what he just said, as he also blushed.

"No, I didn't mean it like that! I just want to ask some questions- ow! Stop hitting me! It hurt!" The boy raised his hands to defend himself from the comically fast barrage of the girl's hands, which left afterimages in the air.

"Pervert! Pervert! Pervert! Pervert! Pervert! Pervert! Pervert! Pervert! Pervert!"

"I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry!"

They continued their tomfoolery for a while until Shamshel stopped referencing JoJo's famous reference and sighed. "You really are air-headed sometimes, baka Shinji."

"Sorry. Poor choice of words. Anyways, I want to talk to you later. To clear some misunderstandings and stuff. You good with that?" He looked at the European girl before giving her a hand to stand up. She accepted his help and stood up from the ground. "Looks like we're not in a position to sit down and have a serious talk about serious stuffs. Our clothes are all dirty."

"Yeah, sound good." She nodded her head. "Lord Longinus can wait a little bit longer. See ya later, dummkopf!" She jumped to the sky and spread her tendrils from her back, forming three pairs of pink wings. Shinji watched the process in awe.

It was also the pairs of wings he saw when the Fourth Angel's core exploded. "So she is a Seraphim, huh?" He muttered.

As much as he wanted to ask who the hell Lord Longinus is, he made no attempt to stop the red-haired girl from spreading her wings and took off. He looked up at the sky, saw the silhouettes of the Seraphim and the yellow barriers slowly disappearing from his vision.

"You know what, Sachiel?" Shinji said to the Angel inside his head. "Maybe we got a chance to recover your sister."

"...Phew."

"Heh, looks like we were very lucky." Shinji pulled out his black knuckle from the earlier battle. "The result is 100% alike. Your sister's consciousness wasn't absorbed, unlike my theory. Jackpot."

"So it was still Shamshel and not some alternate egos born from the process of evolution to Seraphimhood as you said before?"

"Yep." Shinji sighed in relief. "I never thought she was a redhaired German type of Angel."

"Sachiel neither." The angel nodded(with his upper body). "Sachiel didn't know she was like that. It has been quite a time since Sachiel met her."

"Time can change people a lot, I guess." Stretching his body, Shinji got up and picked up his unscathed backpack. "Still doesn't explain why she was calling me an idiot. She seems to have known me for a long time."

"According to your memory, you didn't meet her before." Sachiel rubbed his skeletal bird face, trying to find an explanation. "Sachiel suggest we should discuss this at home. It's dark already, and you should take a bath."

"Agreed." Walking towards the exit, Shinji noticed the result of his battle, which was a destroyed parking lot. "Better run fast. I don't want to call Mr. Goodman again."

no omake again bc im lazy and i accidentally deleted it and this chapter is already long enough aaaahhh- Oh wait it is already author's note. Please forget what i was saying.

As always, thank you for reading! It took me a whole day to finish this chapter. This chapter was very much cracked, and I like it cracked beyond human's imagination. Anyways, have a good day everyone! I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter!

So, why is Shamshel being a friendly Asuka? Is she Asuka or not? What the hell is a Seraphim? Who the hell is Lord Longinus? Why did Keel get kidnapped by a SWAT team? What is SEELE's goal now? I'm sure that you are wondering about a lot of things in this chapter, butIt wouldn't be a good story if everything was worked out from the start, would it? Again, you can leave a review to support this fanfiction! It always brighten my day to see someone liked my story!

That's all, folks! I will see you all later!
