Chapter 6: The Revenge of Tiger Lucy

As soon as they made it safely to shore, Jason and Kong separated and joined up with Lua, Tann, and Dr. Jenkins. "OK, so to recap", said Tann, "Kong's exposed to the world at large, dinosaurs are running loose in Manhattan, and we've been framed for both. What do we do?" "Well", mused Dr. Jenkins, "The Mayor only said you and Tiger Lucy were involved. He said nothing about either Jason or I". "I see what you mean", smiled Jason, "But that now leaves only two problems. Where are we going to hide Kong, and how will we show Mayor Mitchell the footage?" "I know a place where the big guy can hide until the heat dies down", suggested Tann with a grin.

He lead them to Madison Square Garden, where Kong took residence in the basketball court. "Now remember, Kong", said Dr. Jenkins, "It's dangerous out there, so please, try to stay here". Kong grunted before lying down. "We'll be back soon, bro", said Jason as he shut the service doors. "Are you certain the Protector will be safe in there?", asked Lua. "Madison Square Garden is built like a fortress", said Jason, "Nothing short of a T. Rex could wreak that place".

Meanwhile, Hunter landed his helicopter on a rooftop and observed as the T. Rex thrashed through the streets, sending cars flying into buildings! "All of my enemies are here", Hunter smiled, "The time has come to repay my family suffering". Just then, he caught sight of something on a building nearby and fired with his rifle! Then, he blasted the T. Rex with the sonic laser! The beast roared before turning to him. Just then, Hunter's pager beeped. "Nice try", the message read, "But I wasn't merging with him." The T. Rex let out an ear-splitting roar! "With all your enemies in one place, you'll be taken down for sure", another message taunted as the dinosaur stalked forward. "Don't be so sure", Hunter wrote before taking to the air in his helicopter. He pushed a button, releasing some hair cut from Kong's arm. The T. Rex sniffed the air and growled. "That's right, pick up the scent", smiled Hunter. The T. Rex began stomping towards Madison Square Garden. "Robots", said Hunter into his radio, "Find other predators. I want to tire Kong out before I take my shot".

Elsewhere, Jason, Tann, Lua, and Dr. Jenkins were sneaking over to city hall as a brontosaurus stomped on a police car. "OK, what's the plan?", asked Tann as some policemen dodged a charge from a bull triceratops. "We need a distraction", said Dr. Jenkins, "Something to keep the cops away from city hall long enough for Jason and I to get inside". "I think I've got it", said Tann as he walked out of the alley. He raised his hands into the air as the cops swarmed over. "I surrender", said Tann as Jason, Lua, and Dr. Jenkins sneaked past them and into city hall.

"We need patrols in this area of Harlem", said Mayor Mitchell, "That way, we can herd of some of the predators". "Mr. Mayor!", cried Jason. "Mr. Jenkins", said Mayor Mitchell, "how nice of you to join us. We've just been informed of the news of Tannenbaum's arrest outside. He has much to answer for". "But it wasn't him", protested Lua. "She's right", said Dr. Jenkins, "Hunter Stag is behind this rampage". "That's preposterous", said Mayor Mitchell grimly. "Maybe our words won't convince you", said Jason, "But maybe this will". He handed Mayor Mitchell his Cyber-Link. "Just push the red button", said Dr. Jenkins.

Mayor Mitchell did so and saw footage of Hunter capturing Kong and the other animals on Kong Island. "I don't know", said Mayor Mitchell, "He may have captured Kong, but how can I be sure what you say is true?" Just then, a video was projected on the wall behind them. "I'm about to embark on the greatest big game hunt of all time. It will be more than payment enough for my family suffering"."Why not just kill them on the island?" "Now now, can't discredit that fat imbecile if I did that". "What sorcery is this?", asked Mayor Mitchell as the projection disappeared. "Just more evidence", said Tiger Lucy as she stepped out of the shadows with Chon-Dar with a chain around his neck, "Hunter Stag III betrayed us. I'm simply returning the favor. Now, I believe a reprieve is in order". "Not so fast, Tiger Lucy", said Jason, "You may not be behind the escape, but you still helped Hunter bring the animals to New York, to say nothing about the things you stole while under the employ of Ramon de La Porta". "Details, details", said Tiger Lucy, "I'm not about to lose the money I made from this venture, and the honorable Mayor Mitchell will be the perfect hostage to ensure I keep what I made". Just then, Jason threw a chair at her, which Tiger Lucy broke with a single punch! Then, Lua ran over and kicked her out the window! "Is she..?", asked Mayor Mitchell. "No", said Jason as he looked over Chon-Dar, "She has a device much like my own, and that means she'll be on the offensive". "Give the order", said Mayor Mitchell, "Release Tannenbaum"!

As soon as Tann got out of the police cruiser, he saw the robots herding some carnotaurs and raptors towards the direction of Madison Square Garden. Then, he turned to face Tiger Lucy. "You see that?", she asked as she limped forward, "Hunter isn't just getting one of his dinosaur friends to kill Kong. He isn't even getting two. He's getting...all of them". "You know we'll stop him", said Tann. "That's what he wants, dummy", said Tiger Lucy, "Hunter is going to take you all out with Kong". "Then help us stop him", said Tann, "You know he'll destroy the city just to kill Kong". "Helping you?", asked Tiger Lucy with a laugh, "He hates you just as much. I'll just deprive him of his revenge". "Not if we have anything to say about it", said Lua, "Chon-Dar, strike!" Chon-Dar growled before leaping forward. "Merger Sequence, engage!", cried Tiger Lucy. She and Chon-Dar merged, becoming a massive beast. But then, Jason merged with a woolly mammoth! He punched the beast in the face before sending her flying with his trunk! "Come on", said Tann, "We need to get to Kong!"

The mammoth beast blocked a kick from the saber-tooth tiger and knocked her back with his trunk! Then, the saber-tooth tiger saw Tann, Lua, and Dr. Jenkins take off in a Jeep. She threw the mammoth into a building and gave chase! Jason then merged with a styracosaurus and charged, knocking the saber-tooth tiger over! But then, Tiger Lucy merged with a giant snake, becoming a two-legged lizard! The two-legged lizard then used her tail to sweep out the legs of the styracosaurus! She leaped on top of him, snapping her jaws at him! The styracosaurus kicked the two-legged lizard away and merged with a raptor! He then used his toe claw to slash the two-legged lizard on the chest! But then, Tiger Lucy merged with a pteranodon and flew past the raptor! Jason then merged with a triceratops and ran after her on all fours before jumping into the air and grabbing her legs! He pulled her to the ground and punched the pteranodon in the face!

Tann brought the Jeep to a stop in front of Madison Square Garden as Hunter flew over in his helicopter, blasting the T. Rex with the sonic laser. "Come on", he said, "Crush the ape!" The T. Rex climbed on top of Madison Square Garden and stomped on the dome, causing it to collapse! "Kong!", cried Dr. Jenkins. Just then, the pteranodon broke free from the triceratops and flew in to attack the helicopter. Hunter hit her with the sonic laser, but before Tiger Lucy was seperated from the pteranodon, she used her wing to cut the tail rotor off! "NO!", cried Hunter as the helicopter hurtled towards the Jeep! The triceratops tried to stop it, but Tiger Lucy then merged with the T. Rex and tackled him! Tann, Lua, and Dr. Jenkins braced themselves as Hunter Stag III and his helicopter hurtled straight towards them!
