"So do you have a name?" Kazuma asks the girl who hasn't let go of his hand.
"That's going to be a problem." he says to himself before he throws some water on a branch that caught fire when it touched her hair.
He exhales and stops walking before he looks at the sky, he can't help but feel a weight being lifted off his shoulders combined with the feeling o another weight being preplacing it.
This is the same place where he arrived in this world and this was the same giant tree that saved his life when he was falling, but at the same time, he had this kid with him.
His original plan was to teleport here and walk in the opposite direction, he was either going to eventually find another village or he would be wandering the forest for years, either way, he didn't see any downsides.
In one situation he could put everything he had learned in the Sand Village to use and in the other, he would never have to worry about anyone attacking him for no reason.
He turns to look at the girl, she was smaller than he was, and he knows that he might have made a mistake by rescuing her, but he was just mad back then.
Her hair was going to be a problem, it left a trail of burned objects behind and she was so small that he doubted that she would be able to travel for long.
"Damm it." he says to himself and so he uses what little energy he has left to teleport back to the village where the blond woman had taken him.
He lands on the ground exhausted, that was it, he didn't have any strength left, if someone or something attacked them, they were defenseless.
"oh my god!" he hears someone scream before he passes out.
Tsunade looks at the pair in front of her, the girl was shy, to say the least, and Kazuma wasn't waking up no matter what she did, the kid had used up a lot of energy escaping.
The only reason that she had even bothered to keep an eye on him was that the sand only targeted because of her, she would have forgotten about him, had she not seen the signs.
The civilians had started to see him as one of their own and it was because he was being taken care of by one of their ninjas that they were preparing to force him to join them.
She knew that he would make his way here, it was the only place that he had stayed for long and even if it wasn't, he was smart enough to know that the girl wasn't going to take living wherever he was living before coming here easily.
"You have two choices, we can take you to another village or you can come with us," she says to the girl who hugs Kazuma's unconscious body.
Tsunade grins her teeth, the girl doesn't have this luxury anymore, she is a fugitive, and every moment that she stays like this she puts herself and the brat in danger.
"You can't.'
"Shut up." Kazuma says to her
'What did you say?" Tsunade grabs Kazuma who isn't able to move yet, she just wanted to scare him and the girl but to her surprise, she began to feel her energy being drained by him.
"I said shut up, can't you see she's scared," Kazuma answers her as he uses her stolen energy to move.
"I can't say for her, but I'll go with you, but I want you to teach me some of your spells because I'm going to need them." Kazuma says to her.
"And what tells you that I'll even teach you anything?" she asks him.
"You're here, it's not a coincidence that we show up here and you're here." Kazuma says to her.
Tsunade smirks. "We aren't teaching you anything, but you can come with us until you can defend yourselves, after that we're going our separate ways."
"Deal." he says to Tsunade before he turns to look at the girl who was using her hands to cover her face.
The girl slowly moves her fingers and peeks through them and when she sees that Kazuma is standing up and not dead she runs up to him and nods.
"Good, now we're leaving." Tsunade says to them before she picks both of them up and leaves the village behind.
As they left Kazuma couldn't help but smile in relief, he could see that everything that had been destroyed was already rebuilt and that the people that he had lived with for a short time, waved goodbye to him.
In the interrogation room, Elizabeth smiled, no one had done anything to her or her brothers, they weren't a team anymore, and their headbands had been confiscated along with their equipment.
The door to their room opens before a bag is thrown inside.
"I have good news and bad news.
"The good news is he passed with flying colors, the bad news is the three of you have to go and bring him back."
"What?' they all said at once and watch as the man that had thrown the bag at them scratched the back of his head.
"Look, we don't have the luxury of making anyone a ninja and if he had failed to escape he would have just become another civilian."
"So then why was!?" Elizabeth began to ask the man but he stops her before she can finish.
'No one knows what the hell Gaara was doing out there, and the person we had sent out to try and stop Kazuma was found unconscious, but alive near where they fought." the man says to her.
"Then why was he locked up in?" Maz asks the man.
"He fought Gaara and lived, teres no way that we were going to take any chances, but the kid hadn't done anything for us to hurt him so we were nice."
'And he escaped along with someone that hasn't learned to control her power." the man answers Maz.
'So what's the bad news?" Reio asks the man.
"Two teams are being sent after them, the first team is you three and no one expects you to find him."
"The second team is made of the Kazekages children and that means Gaara was sent after him with his older brother and sister." the man answers them.
Elizabeth and her team begin to move towards the door but the man keeps on talking.
"Before the three of you run out to save him, there's a reason why no one told you what we were planning."
"You've grown attached to him and you broke a lot of our rules, don't forget that the only reason that you are even allowed to move freely is that people spoke up for you."
"Finally we had a team watching the village where he use to live and we found them all unconscious but alive."
"After asking the villagers what they knew, we know that Tsunade must have been keeping an eye on him because she showed up a few minutes before he did and then took him with her."
Elizabeth doesn't say anything, she just walks out and leads her team to the nearest bar, she's not going to bother leaving the village, not until she's gotten drunk, taken a bath, and gotten a goodnights sleep.
Then she would chase after Kazuma and smack him across the head for doing this to her.
She was a ninja dam it, she kills, captures, and tortures people, she doesn't get attached nor does she care about people.
And now she has to find him before that monster does.
"Dam it." she says to herself as she orders herself a drink
