Accepted by Some, Fooled by All

After the elevator doors slide completely open, Trent slowly walks his way forward to where the Halva was standing. The two men he had fought earlier were on either side of her, as if they were protecting her. A sudden instinct in his stomach told him he should stop halfway to them, and he did so.

Even though he had been thinking through his head how to tell of his situation to the Halva, he wasn't ready. He wanted to explain his problem and had to explain it quick; but seeing one of the most powerful people ever prophesied in front of him, and the fact that he had tried to end her life, Trent lost all thought about how he should begin to explain himself.

As if the Halva knew he had trouble starting the conversation, she talked first, asking him a simple question.

"Why are you back, Sith?" The way she asked the question made Trent feel less tense about what he was doing. Deciding that he did not want to resemble the Sith anymore, he slowly puts his hands on the sides of his metallic mask. In on smooth motion, Trent removes the mask from his head and tosses it to the right side of the room with his right hand.

Tony's face and Steve's face suddenly had a look of shock as they both realized that the Sith, they had fought earlier and who had extensive training in combat, couldn't have been older than twenty-five years. They inferred correctly because Trent was only twenty-two years old.

Gathering the only bit of courage and confidence left in him, Trent answers Angela's question.

"I'm not here to kill you. In fact, it's opposite. I...uh. I'm... here to... tell you that I am deeply sorry about what I have done to cause you harm." After moving a few feet closer to Angela, Tony, and Steve, Trent lowers himself to the ground with his hands. Tony and Steve look to Angela, hoping that she could tell them what was going on, but Angela was just as confused as they were.

Knowing not to make any sudden moves, Trent carefully reaches for his left side, once he was kneeling a few feet from the heroes. Angela, Tony, and Steve become uneasy as they see the Sith Guard reach for something on his belt.

On impulse, Tony raises his right hand and starts to give the Sith a warning, but Angela reaches out, grabbing onto Tony's outstretched hand by the wrist. All three of them continue to watch as the Sith slowly pulls out his lightsaber from his belt.

Not wanting them to be provoked in any way, he slowly and carefully sets the weapon on the floor, in front of him. Using the Force, he carefully pushes the lightsaber away from him, making it travel directly towards Angela. The hilt of the lightsaber rolls along the hard floor, which makes the room echo with its metallic vibrations.

The lightsaber continues on its path until it hits Angela's right foot, since it was slightly in front of her left foot. Without bending forward to pick it up, she uses the Force to make the weapon travel upwards into her open palm.

After grabbing the lightsaber and lowering it to her side, she continues to remain silent, knowing that the Sith had more to say than just sorry.

"If...you will be kind enough towards me and help me to turn from the Dark, I will..." His voice shakes at asking the Halva this, but finishes his request. "I...will protect and follow you, Halva. Please...it would be a privilege and..an honor."

Leaving Tony 's and Steve's sides, Angela calmly walks up to the kneeling Sith and pulls him up from the floor by grabbing into his black cape. This gesture through Trent for a loop. He definitely wasn't expecting someone with such power and skill to just allow someone such as himself to stand at the same level.

His eyes lock onto Angela's, once he is standing up on his own two feet.

"First off, what's your name?"

Trent was slow to answer, since he wasn't expecting a question. "Uh...Trent. I'm Trent, great Halva."

Angela couldn't see the confused looks of Tony and Steve, since her back was to them. She was more focused on Trent and what she could do to help him out.

"Okay, second off. You can call me Angela instead of Halva. You call me Angela and I'll call you Trent. Okay?"

Trent was starting to shake just by being in front of Angela. He was scared; and he had every reason to be. Not only was he standing in front of the most powerful Force being ever prophesied in the history of the universe; but he was also about to be target of his former Master, Malkus Vingarian.

He nods his head nervously while replying back to Angela. "Okay...Angela. Okay..."

After a firm pat on his right shoulder, Angela states, "Hey, relax. No need to be nervous of me. I'm just as human as you are."

Remembering the second part of his plan, Trent moves from Angela and steps forward to face Tony and Steve, who had relaxed after Trent gave Angela his lightsaber. Looking at Steve, Trent addresses what he did earlier.

"I'm sorry that I threw you against the bar counter." He then looks at Tony. "And, I'm sorry that I pinned you against the wall."

Tony, Steve, and Angela move to face Trent. Tony is the first to speak. "Forget about it." He holds out his armored, right hand for Trent to shake. Trent accepts the open hand and shakes it. Even though Steve was still wary of Trent, he also stretches out his hand. "Yeah." After shaking Tony's hand, he grabs hold of Steve's and gives it a firm shake before letting it go.

Still remembering that his former Master would be sensing something suspicious, Trent slowly asks for a favor, even though he should be doing a favor for Angela since he was trying to kill her.

"Um...I know that I owe you guys, and I WILL repay you. But, I need to ask for your help."

Angela decides to ask what help Trent needed. "What is it you need help with, Trent?"

"Uh...well.." Trent wasn't so sure how to say what he was about to speak. "You remember when...I flew off from this building in my Tie-Fighter? Well, I went back to my Master and told him that I had found, what looked to be, the Halva. After I told him this, we came back here to finish the mission, and..."

Angela knew what Trent was going to say, so she decided to finish it for him. "You changed and wanted to be a Jedi instead of a Sith."

"Yeah." A picture of Dravin appears in his mind and just as quickly disappears. "A friend of mind found out that we both had been lied to our whole lives and told me what he had found out. He also told me that our Master had killed him while we were in battle."

Angela continues. "Where is he now?"

Involuntarily, Trent looks at the closed elevator. "He's outside, sitting in the vehicle we came in, waiting for my signal to come up here."

"Sir..." Jarvis speaks calmly. All four of them listen to the AI's words. "It seems that another Force-powered being has just smashed through the bulletproof glass on the main floor. I'm certain that any security measure we have will not be able to stop him."

Steve's mind goes to work about how to get the upper hand in this situation. "Okay. He came here to kill Angela and he still doesn't know that you have switched sides. We can use this to our advantage. Angela.."

Once the Jedi looks at Steve, he continues. "Can you make yourself look unconscious to a Sith?"

Angela grins and nods her head. "Sure can."

"Good. Trent, do you think you can distract your master long enough for Tony and me to sneak up on him and take him down?"

"Well, if I have had him fooled this far, I can keep doing it for a bit longer."

Steve believes what Trent said and lays out the plan quickly, since Malkus was making his way to the same floor that they were on. "Okay, here's the plan." The next couple of moments were filled with Steve's voice explaining the plan, while the others listened. It was simple, but it had to do. Time was running out for them.

After laying out the plan, each person goes to their place. Tony hides in the far right corner of the room, behind some of his tool chests. Steve leaves for his position on the opposite corner from Stark, but before going, he moves as close as he can to Trent and looks at him with extremely sincerity.

"Even though Angela believes your story of switching sides, I'm not so sure." Trent remains silent, but Steve knows his words are clear to the young man. "And if you make one move that will hurt her, I will take you out, without hesitation."

Steve's statement was loud enough for Trent to hear, but quiet enough so Angela, who was preparing herself for the plan a few feet away, couldn't hear him. Trent, once he heard this "warning", had a sudden gain of bravery, causing him to smirk at Steve and reply back with a promise to the super soldier.

"Well, I guess you will have to wait for eternity to take me out, then." After saying this, Trent remembers his metal mask he had thrown on the floor near the elevator. Reaching out with the Force, he lifts the metal off the floor and directs it into his outstretched left hand. Trent looks at it in his hands, remembering what he used to be and promising, then and there, that he would do everything in his power not to fall into darkness again.

Putting the mask on his face, he states to himself, "This WILL be the last time I wear this." Once the mask is on, Trent moves towards Angela, who was a few feet in front of him. After Steve had warned him about bringing harm to Angela, he walked over to the opposite corner from Tony, pushing his back against the wall that was slightly behind the entrance of the elevator.

Knowing that Trent was going to ask her a question, Angela turns around to face him. With the mask on his head, Trent's voice had a metallic vibration to it. "Um, I know you are going to be able to act like your knocked out, but Malkus...he will be able to sense that you're very awake. In fact, he will probably sense Tony and Steve in the room once he is through the elevator."

Looking at him, Angela tells him he has nothing to worry about. "He isn't going to sense them and he will believe that I'm unconscious."

"But how?"

"Well, you believe that I am the Halva, right?"

Trent nods his head. "There is no doubt in my mind about it."

"Then you should know that the Halva can do a lot of things other Force-sensitive beings can't."

Her words were accurate and Trent knew it. He had nothing to worry about. The Halva was more powerful than Malkus by an immeasurable amount. Trent put his faith in the Halva to get this problem taken care of.

Even though she didn't want to, Angela needed to use both sides of the Force in order to fool Trent's former master. She would have to allow some of the Dark Side to come into her. It was dangerous and Angela knew this very well. Not only would she have to make Tony and Steve invisible to Malkus's senses and make her vitals drop in order for the Sith to sense her lowered breathing and heart-rate that is present when one is unconscious, but she would have to shield her thoughts from him as well.

While using both sides of the Force, Angela would have to rely on both sides equally. If she used the Light Side more than the Dark, there could be a very unstable shift in the Force that would affect all of life in the universe. If she used the Dark Side more, not only could it cause unbalance, but she, herself, could very well be lost within its power, never to return to the Light Side, the side of peace of justice for every living thing.

It had to be done. Focusing with her mind, Angela slowly lets the power and energy of the Dark Side leak into her mind. As soon as the power starts to enter her, her hair once again changes to the deepest black color imaginable, while the other strands of her hair maintain their natural blonde color.

"Wow."

After her transformation, Angela turns around to look at Trent. With his mouth hanging open, Trent speaks to Angela in amazement. "That's awesome!" He shakes his head and rephrases his statement. "I mean, being able to have so much power to actually make a difference anywhere you go. Being the Halva, You must be grateful for such a wonderful gift."

"It's more of a curse, than a gift. Be glad you don't have this much power." Turning from Trent, Angela looks over at Steve and Tony, who were already in their positions. "You guys ready?"

Both answer the same, one after another. "Yeah."

Only turning her head, Angela asks Trent if he is ready as well.

He replies in a calm tone, "Yes. As ready as I will be."

Turning her head back, Angela says to everyone in the room, "Alright, let's finish this."

Even though he trusted his apprentice, Malkus's patience wasn't the best it could be. Instead of waiting for his student to give him the signal, Malkus decided to leave the pick-up truck and enter into the building.

It had been relatively easy for Malkus to walk up to the building without causing a scene, just like his apprentice had earlier. Unfortunately when he got to the doors, he couldn't open them. The doors that his apprentice had opened with ease were now shut tight and locked. No problem for Malkus. Since the doors were made from glass, he merely used the power from the Dark Side and forced the glass to shatter into hundreds of shards.

The sound of breaking glass caused the people who were walking on same sidewalk the Sith was on to look at him very briefly before scattering in different directions, running the way they came from or onto the busy New York streets, dodging the cars that were screeching their tires, trying to stop.

Instead of ignoring the fear of the people that saw his action, Malkus absorbs the energy from their fear, while walking through the broken glass doors and making his way to the elevator. Once at the elevators, he notices the button off to the side. He pushes it. Nothing. Looking to his left, he spots nothing that would help him reach the floor that his apprentice was on. However, when he glanced to the right, he saw the metal handle of a door on the same side of the wall that the elevator was.

After a couple of steps, he reaches the door, pulls on the handle, and walks inside, letting the door close by itself. "Great", he mumbles to himself as he starts his journey up the long flight of stairs, up to the highest floor where he could sense his apprentice and the Halva.

Heck YES! One more chapter guys and girls, then the prologue! Who else is excited for the sequel?! Anyway, I have received one review for my last chapter. Are you guys okay? Did you lose interest in my story or are you guys just lazy? lol just messing with you.

In case someone is confused by the chapter title, I'll clarify it. Accepted by Some is that Trent is accepted and can be trusted. Everyone believes him, except Steve, who gave him that little "warning". Fooled by all is that Malkus is fooled at this moment by Trent, Angela, Tony, and Steve. He thinks that he and his apprentice has the upper hand, but he has no idea what's going to happen.

By the way, to the person who posted earlier that said my oc's name was obnoxious like Mary Sue and that I should name my characters better, I have something to say to you (and anyone else you reads this who may or may not have the same opinion). I named her Angela Darksaber for a reason. Angela is a close spelling to angel (the Light Side). Her last name Darksaber is a symbol for two things (plus it was her last name because it was her family's last name). One: She naturally is attuned to the Dark Side since her parents were both full-fledged Siths and saber, which stands for a sword. Two: Darksaber is actually a weapon that I hope to bring in sometime in one of my stories. It's a weapon that only Angela can use. Anyone can wield it, but only Angela can kill someone with it. (cool right?)

Anyway, be sure to follow and favorite so that you can find this story again. I would hate for any of you not to find it again. Plus, if you have any questions about the story or the characters or anything at all. Just PM me. I answer all my reviews and PM messages. I like to interact with people that actually take time to read my stuff. THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE STUCK WITH THIS STORY AND HOPEFULLY YOU WILL READ THE SEQUEL AS WELL.
