[ Austin's POV ]

The night sky over the city was a canvas of deep navy, speckled with stars, as I sat on the balcony, sipping my hot coffee. My long hair, once unkempt, now styled and kept neatly courtesy of Yellow and Green, was a stark contrast to my former self. I wore a black leather jacket over a white shirt, with a pair of dark jeans and boots.

As I sat, my gaze fixed on the laptop screen next to me, displaying an image of Giovanni, the feared leader of Team Rocket, standing alongside his three-year-old son, Silver. Giovanni, dressed in his signature black suit, stood tall and imposing, his dark hair neatly styled and his expression stoic. Silver, with his wild mop of red hair, looked up at his father with wide, curious eyes.

I couldn't help but sigh as I remembered Lyndis' recordings.

The Orre Region.

Team Cypher.

Doctor Ein.

Black Aura.

If I hadn't made that connection, then I would be legally brain dead, but never in my wildest imaginations did I think that the villain team of Pokémon Colosseum and Gale of Darkness were connected to Team Rocket.

From what little information I could gather on the internet and Team rocket's archives, Team Cypher was the reason for the great war that Surge was a part of, with the war ending when an unknown Legendary Pokémon, Victini, which I presumed was from Pokémon Black and White, nuked the entire Orre region. Not gonna lie, that scared me when I read it.

I continued skimming through files when I stumbled upon something labeled "Missingno."

With a gulp, I clicked on the folder and found several research papers and descriptions of this mysterious Pokémon. The papers described Missingno as a bizarre creature with a symbiotic relationship with reality itself, defying explanation and seemingly impossible to study due to its enigmatic nature.

As I delved deeper into the files, I found a video that piqued my curiosity. It showed an Aerodactyl skeleton being injected with some kind of bloody goop. The moment the substance made contact, the Aerodactyl's skeleton began to stir, the bones shifting and rattling as if coming to life. The video was abruptly cut off by the screams of the scientists.

My heart raced as I tried to comprehend what I had just seen.

Missingno's existence and its connection to this horrifying experiment left me with even more questions, but one thing was certain: Team Rocket's sinister schemes went far beyond what I had initially imagined.

As I continued to comb through the Missingno research papers, I discovered a chilling detail: the mysterious bloody goop used to reanimate the Aerodactyl skeleton was a sample taken from something called "Project Eve." My curiosity was piqued, and I decided to delve into this enigmatic project.

While searching for Project Eve's files, my heart sank with each document I found. Instead of research papers, I discovered a series of morbid entries – scientists who had committed suicide while studying Project Eve, and resignation letters from those who could no longer bear the burden of their involvement. The atmosphere grew heavy as I ventured further into this digital abyss.

Buried within the files, I stumbled upon a documentary from Miyamoto, Jessie's mother. My pulse quickened, and without hesitation, I clicked on the video. As it began to play, I had no idea that what I was about to witness would fill me with an overwhelming sense of fear and anxiety.

The video opened with shaky, grainy footage of a moonlit forest. The air was thick with a palpable tension, and the unsettling silence was broken only by the distant howl of nocturnal creatures. As the camera panned, I caught glimpses of scientists hidden among the trees, their faces gaunt and haunted, as if they were concealing a terrible secret.

The camera focused on Miyamoto as she addressed it. Her face was pale and her eyes wide with terror. In a hysterical voice, she exclaimed, " We have found Mew, We have found the God of Birth and I have something to tell you; God has children!" The raw emotion in her voice sent shivers down my spine.

...

Green was in the apartment when she suddenly heard the sounds of smashing coming from the balcony. Concerned, she rushed outside to see what was going on. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Austin hunched over, violently throwing up into a trash can. The laptop lay shattered on the ground, broken beyond repair.

"Austin!" she called out, her voice filled with worry. She hurried over to him and placed a gentle hand on his back, trying to provide some comfort. His body shook with each retch, and Green couldn't help but feel a mixture of concern and fear.

"What happened? Are you okay?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Austin, still reeling from the horrifying images he had seen in the video, struggled to speak. His face was pale, and his eyes were filled with a deep, unsettling terror.

"I... I found something," he managed to choke out between gasps for air. "Something... terrible."

Green's heart clenched as she looked at the broken laptop, realizing that whatever Austin had discovered must have been truly horrifying. She stayed by his side, rubbing his back in a futile attempt to console him.

...

[ Hours Later ]

Austin sat on the balcony, lost in his thoughts, while Green sat next to him. The night sky above them was a rich tapestry of stars, the cityscape below a mesmerizing blend of neon lights and inky shadows. The air was cool, carrying the scent of the city and the distant hum of its life. Green was dressed in a cozy brown cardigan, her brown hair styled in a simple, elegant ponytail. They sat in silence, the only sound the gentle sip of Austin's coffee as it mingled with the faint whispers of the night breeze.

Green reached out and took the cup from Austin's hand, drinking the remaining coffee in one go. He couldn't help but realize that her life as a thief must have reinforced her habit of quickly eating and drinking. The sound of the empty cup being placed back on the table echoed softly in the cool air.

Green turned to him, her green eyes reflecting the city lights below. "How are you doing?" she asked softly.

Austin gave her a small, reassuring smile. "I'm fine, just thinking," he replied.

Green nodded understandingly; she knew that he had his own demons to deal with, just like her. They both have seen and experienced things that no one should have to endure. They sat in silence, watching the city below, the distant sound of cars and people filling the air like a gentle symphony. Austin couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia as he thought back to the days when he was a child living in Honolulu, where he and his brother would always play this game of counting specified colored cars.

"Ash, what are we going to do now?" Green asked, her voice barely more than a whisper.

"Well, the agenda is still the destruction of Team Rocket. With Jessie and James on our side to get us weapons and information, we are one step closer to that goal." Austin's voice was steady, but the weight of the situation was clear in his eyes.

Green smiled at his determination but noticed the blank expression that suddenly crossed his face.

"What's wrong?" she asked, concern lacing her voice.

"I found your mother," Austin said quietly.

"What?! How?" Green's eyes widened with shock.

"Team Rocket had dug into a lot of people's pasts, that includes your father. Now you can go look for your mother," Austin explained, hoping the news would bring her some measure of happiness.

Green's body shook as she asked in a low tone, "Are you trying to get rid of me?"

"Of course not," Austin responded, taken aback by her reaction. "I was fulfilling my promise."

A silence enveloped the two, as heavy as the darkness that surrounded them. Green's gaze bore into Austin, imploring him for honesty. "Ash, tell me the truth."

Austin, with a heavy heart, answered, "It's too dangerous for you and everyone else to continue with this mission," concern etched on his face.

Green's eyes flashed with defiance as she questioned him, "So, what? Are you going to get rid of Yellow, Pikachu, and everyone else because it's too dangerous?" Her voice was laced with a mix of frustration and determination.

Austin hesitated, caught off guard by her response. Green continued, her voice resolute, "We're going to go through this together, Austin. We've come this far, and we're not backing down now."

"But what if you get hurt?" he asked, his voice strained with worry.

"You can also get hurt, Ash. Are you going to stop this pursuit?"

"No."

"Then, do you think Yellow, Pikachu, or any one of us would live with ourselves knowing that you are risking your life to go while we remain safe?"

"..."

"Thanks," Austin said, his expression softening.

"Oh, don't worry, after we get through this, you're going to pay me big time," Green added, her eyes narrowing as she grabbed Austin's collar and pushed him closer to her, bringing their faces just inches apart. Austin could feel Green's breath on his face as she continued with a mischievous smile, "You aren't going to get rid of me that easily. You already paid for my services, and I am a woman of my word." Austin smirked and asked in a jovial fashion, "Wasn't the money I gave you compensation for feeling you up?"

Green put on an innocent look and asked, "What would Yellow think if she heard that news?" Austin saw through Green's tricks and asked her what she wanted. Green replied that she wanted the legendary Pokémon detection machine that Dr. Lyndis had designed and Austin flat-out refused.

As Green was about to say something else, the door to the balcony burst open, and Yellow hurriedly shouted, "Austin, something is wrong with Charmeleon!" The urgency in her voice pierced the still night air. His stomach sank as he realized that their moment of reprieve was over.

In the corner of the room, a large group of Pokemon huddled together, their eyes filled with sadness as they gazed upon the motionless form of Charmeleon. Scizor, Fearow, Pidgeot, Butterfree, Ivysaur, Wartortle, Ninjask, Rhyhorn, Clefable, Haunter, Krabby, Dragonair, and countless others all stood together, some with tears in their eyes, as they looked upon their unmoving comrade. The room was quiet except for the occasional sniffle from a Pokemon, and the only light came from a small lamp on the table in the corner, casting long shadows across the room. Despite the many berries that had been brought to try and revive Charmeleon, he remained unresponsive, his tail flame dangerously dim.

Suddenly, the door to the living room slapped open, and Austin, Green, and Yellow rushed in. Austin came to a stop, his eyes fixed on Charmeleon's tail flame. It was barely flickering, and Austin could see that the Pokemon was unresponsive. Austin's heart started racing, and his mind projected a mental image of a dying Raticate over Charmeleon's unmoving body.

Tears began to fill his eye as Austin realized that his beloved Pokemon was in serious trouble.

Austin slowly approached Charmeleon, his voice cracking as he spoke. "Charmeleon, buddy, wake up," he said, his voice filled with concern. He tried to gently shake the Pokemon awake, but there was no response. Austin sat there, his head in his hands as he stared blankly at the motionless form of Charmeleon. Tears and snot were running down his face as he felt completely helpless. His mind was blank, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he had failed his beloved Pokemon. He felt as if he was on the brink of a mental breakdown, unable to process the reality of the situation.

Just as Austin was about to lose all hope, Lucario walked in. The powerful aura Pokemon took one look at Austin and without hesitation, he punched him in the face, sending him crashing to the floor. Pikachu and the other Pokemon looked on with heavy hearts as Lucario pointed his finger at Austin and exclaimed, "What in Mew's good name are you doing?!". Lucario's words were harsh, but they were also exactly what Austin needed to snap out of his despair. He looked up at Lucario, tears still streaming down his face.

"I, I, I..." Austin stammered, unable to make out any words as Lucario's red eyes glared back.

"Is this the human who freed me from my prison? Was the human who claimed to want revenge ... so weak?!" Lucario shouted, causing Austin to close his eyes.

"Oi! Don't close your eyes, you are the trainer, you are the man of this house! Where is all the bravado?! Where is all that confidence?!" Lucario continued.

"I don't know!" Austin shouted back as Lucario's angry expression melted into a loose one, and he sat on one knee and said, "Well, we need that bravado back. We need you, you Mew damn idiot. Suck it up and tell us what to do."

With Lucario's words of encouragement, Austin wiped away his tears and looked at all of his Pokemon. With a deep breath, Austin said, "Chansey, use heal pulse on Charmeleon. Clefable and Abra, lift the duo up. We need to get to Nurse Joy. Everyone else, go back to your pokeballs!"

Everyone nodded as Austin ran towards Nurse Joy's office, with Pikachu, Lucario, Green, and Yellow following close behind. The sound of their footsteps echoed through the Pokemon Center as they ran, the only other sound being the quiet beeping of machines and the occasional sob from a Pokemon left behind.

As they reached Nurse Joy's office, Nurse Joy looked up from her desk as they entered, her face filled with concern as she saw the motionless form of Charmeleon being treated by heal pulse by a Chansey mid-air. "Nurse Chansey, get us a stretcher!"

Nurse Joy rushed over to Austin, Yellow, and the others, who were standing beside the stretcher that held Charmeleon. She asked Austin a few medical questions about Charmeleon's condition and past health, her expression serious as she listened to his responses. The room was filled with the sound of beeping machines and the occasional rustling of paper as Nurse Joy took notes.

"When did you first notice that Charmeleon was unresponsive?" Nurse Joy asked, her pen poised over a clipboard.

"It was about a few minutes ago," Austin replied, his voice filled with worry. "He wasn't eating, responding, and his tail flame was barely flickering." Yellow added.

"Has Charmeleon had any recent battles or injuries?" Nurse Joy asked, her expression serious.

"No, he's been healthy and strong," Austin replied, his voice filled with concern.

"Has Charmeleon had any previous health issues or illnesses?" Nurse Joy asked, her pen scratching on the clipboard as she took notes.

"Not that I know of," Austin replied, his voice filled with uncertainty.

As they put Charmeleon on the stretcher, Nurse Joy and her team of Chansey rushed him to the emergency room. Austin, Yellow, and the others were stopped by a Chansey, who informed them that they could not enter the emergency room and that they had to wait outside. The group watched as the stretcher was rushed into the emergency room, their hearts heavy with worry.

Yellow placed a comforting arm on Austin, her voice filled with reassurance as she said, "It's going to be okay, Austin. Charmeleon is in good hands." Lucario stepped forward and tapped Austin's shoulders, exclaiming, "There is a time to cry and a time for action."

Lucario's words seemed to break the camel's back as Austin's lips quivered, and he clenched his face, trying to keep himself from crying. "Ash, it's okay to cry," Yellow said as she sat down and hugged the trainer. It felt like the world was swept away from his feet, and Austin hugged Yellow back tightly, tears streaming down his face as he cried on her shoulder. Yellow's heart ached for him, and she knew how much Charmeleon meant to him. The bond between a trainer and a Pokemon was stronger than anything, and she wrapped her arms around him tightly, trying to convey all the love and support that she had for him in that embrace. Green and Pikachu joined in, consoling Austin as they waited for any news about Charmeleon.

The waiting room was a chamber of hushed whispers and muffled sobs. Austin sat there, head cradled in his hands, lost in a sea of helplessness. His once unbreakable spirit, his relentless pursuit of revenge, all of it now seemed to have come to a screeching halt, brought low by the uncertain fate of his closest ally, his friend, his family - Charmeleon.

The fear of the unknown, a fear more potent than any other, now gripped Austin's heart. He was at a loss, unable to grasp the reality of the situation. The future, once a roadmap of vengeance, was now shrouded in uncertainty. He felt adrift, lost in a world where his companion was no longer by his side.

In that moment, Austin was faced with a stark realization - the world he had built for himself, the one where he was the master of his own fate, was now nothing more than a fragile illusion. And yet, even as he was faced with the daunting truth, he refused to give in to despair. For he was a trainer, and Charmeleon was his Pokemon. And together, they would face whatever lay ahead, no matter the cost.

The sun was setting over the small town of Pallet, casting a warm orange glow over the Pokémon Center as Austin, Yellow, and Green stood outside the Emergency Room. Pikachu was trying to mimic the different faces of various Pokémon in an attempt to cheer up Austin, who looked worried and stressed. Lucario watched silently, his eyes scanning the group as Yellow walked back and forth, clearly agitated. Green, on the other hand, remained silent, her expression unreadable, but it was clear that she wanted to say something.

"I am ok buddy," Austin said, trying to force a smile on his face.

"Pika, pika," Pikachu responded with a sad face.

Yellow turned to Green, "What's taking so long? I can't wait anymore."

Green looked at Yellow with a sympathetic expression, "I know how you feel, but we have to be patient."

The door to the ER suddenly opened, and Austin immediately rushed inside, making his way to Nurse Joy. "How is Charmeleon doing?" He asked, his voice filled with concern. Nurse Joy looked up from the chart she was holding and smiled at Austin. "I'm glad you're here," she said. "Can we talk in private?"

"Of course," Austin replied, his heart sinking.

Inside the room, Nurse Joy sat down at the desk and gestured for Austin to take a seat. "I have some news about Charmeleon," she said, her voice serious. "Physically, he's healthy, but mentally, he seems to have formed a cage around his mind that has left him in a state of unresponsiveness."

" What can be done ?"

" It is completely out of our hands." Nurse Joy answered, not trying to sugarcoat the news.

Austin felt his heart race as the stress of the situation made his temper flare up, "Isn't it your job to help Pokémon?!" Nurse Joy didn't seem offended by Austin's comment and instead, she explained that an expert has been informed and would be coming by tomorrow to treat Charmeleon. She could see the frustration and disappointment in Austin's eyes, but she reassured him that Charmeleon was in good hands.

"I understand," Austin said, his voice filled with disappointment. "Thank you for letting me know and I am sorry for my outburst."

Nurse Joy smiled and offered Austin a lollipop.

" I know it's hard for you but you must stay patient, if everything goes alright then Charmeleon will be back to himself in a few days."

" ... " Austin nodded as he looked at the Lollipop in his hands.

" Thank you."

" It is my job."

As Austin walked out of the room, Yellow and Green immediately surrounded him, asking him what had happened. "Charmeleon is fine physically but mentally, he's not responsive," Austin explained to them.

Yellow looked worried, "What does that mean?"

" Charmeleon is trying to block out everything. He just wants to be left alone."

" D, Did we do something that caused Charmeleon to become like this ?" Yellow was on the verge of tears as Austin clasped her shoulder and exclaimed," Yellow, it's no one's fault. Life just puts obstacles that are too big to overcome, sometimes we crumble under a pressure like that, for now, all we need to do is stay by Charmeleon's side."

" What did Nurse Joy do? Is there a treatment or medicine ?" Green asked while everyone closely looked at Austin.

"An expert is coming tomorrow to treat him," Austin explained, trying to sound optimistic.

...

A Pokémon Master.

A term that every single child knew to heart, and for most, it was a dream to pursue for the rest of their lives. The funny thing was, one never really knew what being a Pokémon Master was really about. For one thing, around eighty-five percent of the population that began their dreams as aspiring Pokémon masters ended up surviving their first year as a trainer. The rest… became part of a statistical chart that everyone pretended did not exist- the harsh truth of the occupation that was becoming a Pokémon trainer.

Like any profession, a Pokémon trainer requires money, lots of it.

From Pokémon food to grooming types of equipment, everything required money.

Cases of abandoned Pokémon can be seen throughout the Pokémon world from Kanto to Paldea because of the undeniable fact that they don't have the money to raise some of their Pokémon.

While the Pokémon league has made a lot of efforts to promote the ideal of love and friendship between a trainer and its Pokemon, abandonment cases are still common because of a lack of money to keep a Pokémon in top condition.

Pokémon trainers can make a lot of money through battles and renting their Pokémon to ranches that collect items like fur, claws, shed skin, etc. Other avenues exist like the innumerable no. of contests that each town holds monthly but even with all of this, why has the number of abandonment cases only decreased by 5% over the last decade?

The answer is false judgment.

The expression " don't bite off more than you can chew " is something that most newbie trainers forget as they catch a lot of Pokémon and their false judgment that they can take care of them results in malnourished Pokémon that are eventually abandoned as they can't win any battles due to their physicality.

Abandonment of Pokémon leads to aggressive tendencies toward humans which lead to homicide in the best-case scenario and the worst-case scenario is something that no one wants to see.

To combat the issue of abandonment, a new rule was introduced into the Pokémon League a few years ago.

Also known as the 6 Pokémon rule which enforces a newbie trainer to be able to carry only 6 Pokémon at a time.

Even as a new rule in recent memory, results have shown that this move was a correct one.

The Pokémon League keeps this iron-clad rule in check using the Pokémon centers that scan a trainer's ID, rank, and the no. of Pokémon on him/her. If the rule is broken then consequences from the suspension of a trainer's license to jail occur depending on the conditions and health of the extra Pokemon.

While this rule may be seen as good by the general public, no one can say that it can't be used for nefarious purposes.

[ Viridian Forest ]

The night had fallen over Viridian Forest, and the darkness was complete. The trees loomed high above, their branches reaching out like twisted fingers. The forest was eerily quiet as the moonlight filtered through the thick canopy, casting a pale glow over the forest floor. The shadows seemed to dance and write as if they were alive. The leaves rustled softly in the light breeze, creating a whispering sound that was both eerie and mesmerizing.

The forest was alive with the sounds of nocturnal creatures. The distant hoot of an owl, the soft rustle of leaves, the chirping of crickets, and the occasional snap of a twig. These sounds seemed to echo through the forest, creating a symphony of the night.

As the night went on, the forest seemed to grow darker and more sinister. The shadows seemed to deepen and grow as if they were trying to swallow everything whole. The trees seemed to twist and bend in the darkness, and the leaves rustled louder as if they were trying to escape.

The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and rotting leaves, and the darkness seemed to seep into every crevice. The forest was alive, but it was not a place for the faint of heart. It was a place of mystery, power, and danger. Those who dared to enter it at night did so at their own risk.

Giovanni, dressed in his signature black suit and tie, strode confidently through the dense foliage of Viridian Forest. The branches and leaves parted before him as if he commanded them to do so, and a trail of buzzing Beedrill dutifully cleared the way for their master.

As he walked, he heard a faint buzzing in his pockets. With a deft hand, he pulled out a small disc and tapped it, summoning a holographic image of his trusted lieutenant, Domino. She stood before him in her usual attire of a black bodysuit and tactical gear, her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail.

"Sir," she said, saluting him. "Ash Ketchum has been spotted in Celadon City. He is currently checked into the Pokémon center."

Giovanni nodded, his dark eyes scanning the forest. "Retrieve Project X," he ordered.

Domino saluted again before the hologram flickered and disappeared.

Giovanni persevered in his arduous journey, his thoughts inevitably drifting to the formidable task that awaited him. As he traversed the treacherous landscape, an abrupt halt befell his stride, for a sight both wondrous and appalling lay before him. An immense Beedrill hive, stretching a kilometer in length, reared its titanic walls, emanating an aura of dread and awe.

The hive was a prodigious testament to the Beedrill's industry, its surfaces shimmering with the viscous nectar of the insects' unhallowed labors. For a fleeting moment, even Giovanni found himself ensnared by the hive's dreadful beauty, and a sinister smile crept upon his lips as his mind began to weave a malevolent scheme.

Inching closer and closer, he scrutinized the hive from every conceivable angle, absorbing every minute detail. Composed of a dark, nearly obsidian wax, the structure was bedecked with arcane patterns that appeared as if etched into the very wax itself. The droning hum of the Beedrill within resonated throughout the air, a constant, unsettling reminder of their ceaseless toil.

As Giovanni stood before the abhorrent monument, a sardonic smirk took possession of his countenance. He knew that with this unfathomable hive and the Beedrill Queen that dwelled within its recesses, he would be one step closer to the consummation of his sinister and ultimate ambition.

[ Earth - Year 2011 ]

Jasmine K, a woman in her late forties, made frequent visits to the Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Washington DC every day for the past year. Today was no different. As she drove in her crimson minivan on the road to the famous hospital, she couldn't help but think that maybe today would be the day she'd get to the hospital and see her son; Austin Kevin awake. But another part of her thought that finally, at long last, his heart would have stopped beating. She wiped a tear from her eye, shaking her head.

"My little boy is not a quitter," she mumbled to herself, her knuckles turning white from gripping the steering wheel. "He'll get through this."

Keeping her dear son in the hospital cost a fortune, but with help from various family members, and several family friends, she was able to pay for him to stay until he woke up. The doctors had told her several times to give up hope and to let them pull the plug together. Jasmine, her husband, and her eldest son Leroy were way too stubborn to listen to them. They never stopped believing that their youngest would get better.

Jasmine pulled into the parking lot and found her usual parking space that everyone in the city knew not to use. After months of coming to this place daily, it had become reserved for her and only her. She stepped out of her vehicle, slung her brown purse over her shoulder, and shut the door behind her. Making her way to the front doors, many people along the way stopped and stared at her, mumbling amongst themselves.

"She's back again."

"I feel sorry for her."

"I hope that kid is okay."

"You'd think she would have given up by this point."

Jasmine blocked out everybody as she pushed through those double doors and marched her way to the front desk, taking the clipboard without saying anything to the woman behind the desk and signing her name in. She placed the clipboard down and began walking to the elevator. She pressed the up arrow and in seconds the elevator arrived with no one on it. She stepped into the small square space and clicked on the sixth floor.

Jasmine was so sick and tired of the elevator music that played on one continuous loop. It was that same track that they had playing on the loudspeakers in the city centers. The first few weeks she enjoyed the music, but now she has a burning hatred for it. The elevator came to a halt on the sixth floor. The sliding door could not open fast enough. Jasmine was already squeezing herself through before it was actually open all the way.

She dashed down the hall, turned a corner, and kept walking until she reached the seventh door on the left. She barged in, startling the nurse that was in there who had been checking on her son. "Miss Kevin!" the nurse gasped. "I know you needed to see him but haven't you ever heard of knocking?"

Jasmine took no time to look at the nurse. She knelt by Austin's bedside, staring into the stone-hard face of her beloved son, Austin Kevin.

'Please wake up son.'

[ Celadon City ]

As Austin walked into Nurse Joy's office, he couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness. He knew that the fate of his Charmeleon rested on the shoulders of the medical team and he was desperate for any help that could be provided. The office was small, but cozy, with a desk in the center and shelves filled with medical books and equipment lining the walls. Nurse Joy was sitting behind the desk, dressed in her traditional pink uniform, a warm smile on her face.

"Ash, thank you for coming," she said, as she stood up to greet him. "I'd like to introduce you to our neurologist and psychic."

Austin turned to see a middle-aged man dressed in a white lab coat, holding a stack of papers, and a woman in a pink and purple outfit with a psychic symbol.

"This is Dr. Smith, our neurologist," Nurse Joy said, gesturing to the man. "He's been working on Charmeleon's case and has some important information to share with you."

Dr. Smith gave a small nod and a smile in Austin's direction.

"And this is Psychic Jane, she's one of our best psychics and has been working with Charmeleon to try and reach it while it's in the coma," Nurse Joy continued.

Psychic Jane gave a smile and a small bow in Austin's direction.

Austin felt a sense of hope welling up inside him as he looked at the two specialists. He knew that they were his best chance of saving Charmeleon, and he was willing to do anything to help them.

"Please, take a seat," Nurse Joy said, gesturing to the chairs in front of her desk.

Austin sat down, Pikachu by his side, as the neurologist and psychic began to explain the situation in more detail.

Austin sat down, Pikachu by his side, as the neurologist and psychic began to explain the situation in more detail. Dr. Smith pulled out the CT scans of Charmeleon's brain and began to point out the areas of concern, "As you can see here, the hippocampus is highly active, indicating that Charmeleon is in a dream-like state," he said, while Psychic Jane talked about her attempts to reach out to Charmeleon through her psychic abilities. "I've been trying to reach Charmeleon through my psychic abilities, but it's like it's in a deep sleep and it's hard to reach it."

As they spoke, Austin listened attentively, trying to understand the technical jargon and medical terms. He could see the concern and determination in their eyes, and he knew that they were doing everything in their power to save Charmeleon.

"Is there anything that can be done to save it?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"There is," Dr. Smith said, "but it's a delicate process. We need to slow down the activity of the hippocampus, which will help Charmeleon regain consciousness. However, it's important to note that this is a long-term process and there's no guarantee of a full recovery."

Austin took a deep breath, brushing Pikachu's scalp with his hands as he processed the information. He could see the CT scans on the table, the images of Charmeleon's brain filled with lines and contours that he couldn't understand. But he could see the damage, the dark shadows that indicated the coma-like state that his Charmeleon was in.

"Is this safe?" he asked, unsure if he wanted to hear the answer.

"The procedure is safe, but it's not without risks," Dr. Smith replied. "But it's the best chance we have of saving Charmeleon."

Austin nodded, knowing that he had to do everything in his power to save his beloved Charmeleon. He could feel the tears welling up in his eyes as he thought about the journey they had shared, the battles they had fought together, and the memories they had made. He couldn't bear the thought of losing his companion and best friend.

That night, as the surgery room was prepped for the procedure, Austin found himself outside the room, waiting anxiously for any news. The ambiance was quiet, the only sound being the occasional footsteps of the medical staff. The environment was filled with the smell of antiseptics and the whirring of machines that monitored Charmeleon's vital signs. He could see the worry on the faces of the other trainers, who were also waiting for news about their own Pokémon.

Under the enchanting veil of night, Austin sat alone, lost in a whirlwind of thoughts. The stars above seemed to be whispering their secrets, casting a dreamlike glow on the world below. It was at this moment that Green, her presence a gentle beacon in the darkness, approached him. Without a word, she handed Austin a steaming cup of coffee, its enticing aroma mingling with the delicate scent of her perfume. They sat together, the silence between them as tender as the brush of a lover's fingertips.

The warmth of the liquid caressed Austin's soul as he sipped, his eyes locked on the heavens above. Green's voice was soft and tender, the soothing balm he needed. "Everything is going to be alright."

Taking a long, comforting gulp of his coffee, the stars above reflecting in his eyes, Austin felt a warmth that extended far beyond the cup in his hands. Green hesitated, her gaze filled with concern, and asked, "Ash, can you tell me what you saw that night?"

Sighing, Austin replied, "Are you sure you want to hear it? Since the information isn't going to get you any money on the black market."

"Hey, money isn't everything I think about," Green protested gently, her eyes imploring him to trust her. But Austin raised an eyebrow as he sipped his coffee.

"Then why ask?"

Green drew a deep breath, her voice was sincere and full of compassion as she said, "Ever since you watched whatever it was on those files, you've been acting... different. Like you're carrying a weight on your shoulders. I just thought that maybe sharing it would help you, you know, lessen the burden."

Austin's gaze met Green's, gratitude and the faintest flicker of something more dancing in his eyes. "Thanks," he whispered, feeling the warmth of the coffee now mirrored by the warmth of her presence, a balm for his aching heart.

In the vast world of Pokémon, there exists a divide between those Legendary Pokémon regarded as Gods and those seen as Demi-Gods. The God-tier Legendary Pokémon are exceedingly rare, with their existence mainly known through ancient murals and fossilized footprints that have survived the passage of time. In stark contrast, Demi-God Legendary Pokémon are born from the union of a Legendary Pokémon and a regular Pokémon, resulting in a powerful hybrid that is significantly weaker than a true Legendary, but considerably stronger than any ordinary Pokémon. These hybrids find their only competition in well-trained, peak-performing Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon. While many skeptics doubt the existence of true Legendaries, the capture and subsequent genetic analysis of Demi-God Pokémon by elite trainers, such as Brandon of the Battle Frontier, have revealed a mixture of normal Pokémon DNA and unknown DNA strands. It is these mysterious genetic markers that have led scientists to draw the distinction between the God-like Legendary Pokémon and their Demi-God counterparts.

Professor Oak, a renowned researcher, and former Pokémon Champion devoted himself to the study of the DNA of all 146 native Kanto Pokémon. His groundbreaking discovery of a single, common DNA strand in every Pokémon species led him to conclude that Mew, the enigmatic and ancient Pokémon, was the ancestor of all Pokémon. Despite initial criticism, Professor Oak's research garnered significant support from the Church of Mew, propelling him to international fame as the world's foremost Pokémon researcher.

Yet few are aware of a far more astonishing discovery made by Professor Oak. While examining the blood of psychic humans, he found Mew's DNA in much greater quantities. The partially active Mew DNA in psychics led him to delve deeper into ancient murals and texts provided by the Church of Mew. Oak made a shocking revelation that he chose to keep secret: Mew, the Legendary Pokémon, had a hand in shaping mankind itself. Fearing the potential outbreak of religious conflict, Oak never disclosed this information.

As his research progressed, Professor Oak began to identify a select group of Pokémon that not only lacked any Demi-God offspring but had also served as guardians for humanity throughout history. Among these were Mew, the God of Life and Rebirth, who shaped mankind; Celebi, the Lord of Time, who assisted humans during apocalyptic events; and Jirachi, the wish-maker, who bestowed King Midas with his golden touch. This group of Pokémon, whom Oak dubbed "Mythical Pokémon," had never been seen in the modern world. Yet, their profound impact on human history and culture could be traced through myths and legends passed down through generations.

[ Team Rocket Base ]

The atmosphere in the Team Rocket base was tense as Giovanni and Madame Boss stood before a massive, monolithic container filled with a bubbling green liquid. Suspended within the fluid was a partially formed skeleton, an eerie sight that held their undivided attention.

A scientist approached Giovanni, his brow furrowed with concern. "Sir, the fossilized hair of Mew doesn't contain enough DNA to create a complete clone."

Undeterred, Giovanni asked, "Is there any way we can modify the long gaps in the DNA to make the clone viable?"

The room filled with skeptical murmurs as various scientists chimed in to explain why it wouldn't work.

"It's simply too risky," one scientist argued. "The gaps in the DNA are too large; we don't have enough information to fill them in safely."

"Besides," another added, "even if we did attempt to modify the gaps, we cannot guarantee that the resulting creature would bear any resemblance to Mew. It could be a genetic abomination."

A third scientist concurred, stating, "The integrity of the DNA sequence is crucial to the success of this project. Tampering with it could lead to disastrous consequences, both for the clone and for us."

As the scientists debated, Madame Boss chuckled, her gaze shifting to Ghetsis. "Any report from Miyamoto on our dear Mew?" she commanded, her voice cutting through the din. The question hung heavily in the air, the entire room anxiously awaiting news of their elusive quarry.

[ Hoenn Region - Faraway Island ]

The serene and untouched beauty of Faraway Island seemed to be a world away from human intervention. Yet, hidden deep within the lush forest, a discreet Team Rocket bunker lay concealed from even the most

trained eyes. Inside, a young scientist named Dr. Thomas eagerly peered through a well-concealed observation window, his eyes glued to the playful Mew frolicking in the forest.

The sunlight streamed through the canopy above, casting dappled shadows on the forest floor as Mew gracefully leaped from branch to branch, its delicate form almost dancing with the wind. Dr. Thomas's heart raced with excitement as he recorded detailed notes using a voice recorder, capturing every moment of the elusive Pokémon's behavior.

The soothing sounds of rustling leaves and gentle bird calls provided the perfect soundtrack to this harmonious scene, punctuated only by the occasional beep of the recorder. He couldn't believe his luck: being tasked with observing such a rare and enigmatic creature was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I've been tasked to study this Mew closely, learn its patterns, its habits. I'm so excited, to be able to observe such a rare Pokémon is a privilege!

Supervisor Miyamoto said that this will be a way to get a better understanding of not only the Mew species but possibly its connection to other Pokémon

After all, it is said to hold the DNA of every other Pokémon out there. Fresh out of an apprenticeship and studying the elusive Mew? I must be dreaming!

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

If it weren't for the numerous trackers and cameras they planted, I'd never be able to get a glimpse of it; it's so fast! It also doesn't seem to have any home base; it just goes where it goes.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

No Sighting.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

I was beginning to think it had moved on. I almost got fired for it even, but was I ever relieved to see that Mew again after a year and a half of nothing?

Supervisor Miyamoto says research isn't going well, won't say what, that it needs to know, but I hope I can recover something special for them, after all, this is for the betterment of Pokémon.

[ Entry number [][][][][][] ]

Mew's habits were always so erratic, but recently that's started changing. Now it seems to keep returning to one area we triangulated. There's a lot of food and fresh water, so I guess it wants to settle down for something.

(Didn't think that was possible, honestly.)

[ Entry number [][][][][][] ]

Something's not right with it. It's far less energetic now, it's stopping to rest in the mapped area for longer and longer, and it's also eating more often.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

I've set up the heat cameras in the designated area to observe Mew. I caught a glimpse of it today, appearing to absorb a glowing object that I believe to be the Jewel of Life. It's fascinating to witness such an event. I'll continue monitoring Mew's movements to document any changes in behavior.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

Mew seems to be exhibiting some unusual behavior. I've noticed that it's been resting more frequently and consuming larger amounts of food. I suspect this might be connected to the absorption of the Jewel of Life. I'll keep a close watch on its activities.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

I've made a groundbreaking observation today. It appears that Mew is not laying an egg, as one would expect from a Pokémon, but rather it seems to be carrying its offspring in its womb. This is a remarkable discovery, as it suggests that Mew's reproductive process may be different from other Pokémon species. I'll continue to observe and record my findings.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

Mew's abdomen has noticeably grown over the past few weeks, indicating that it is still carrying its offspring internally. This development further supports my hypothesis that Mew's reproductive process is unique among Pokémon. I can't help but wonder how this discovery may change our understanding of Pokémon biology. I am not a religious man but Mew is considered to be God by many, I wonder how those people will react once they find out that God has children. I have to let the higher-ups know about this.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

My boss is calling me into a meeting, so I didn't have much observation today. I'll have to make up for that tomorrow.

[ Entry Number [][][][][][] ]

...

I have been lied to.

[ Faraway Island - Mew's Den ]

[ Mew's POV ]

As I lay here in the secluded grove, I can feel the overwhelming sensation of new life within me.

Even if I offend Arceus by stealing his Jewel of Life, I wouldn't regret it because I can finally call myself a mother.

I am about to bring forth not one, but two beings into this world, and the thought fills me with warmth and trepidation. My breaths are slow and measured as I prepare myself for the incredible experience that is about to unfold.

The first contraction washes over me, and I close my eyes, focusing my energy on welcoming the twins into the world. I can sense their energy and spirits, so uniquely individual yet beautifully connected. The pain intensifies with each passing moment, but I know it will all be worth it once I hold my newborns in my arms.

As the labor progresses, I find solace in the peacefulness of the grove, its gentle rustling leaves and soft trickling stream offering comfort and reassurance. The presence of other Pokémon in the area is subtle as if they too understand the significance of this moment.

Finally, the time has come. With one last push, I feel the twins emerge into the world. Their tiny, delicate bodies are a testament to the miracle of life.

" Mew !"

I hear them, I can hear their heartbeats.

These are my children

Exhausted and weakened from giving birth, I, inched closer to my newborn twins, my movements slow and deliberate. I could still see the placenta attached to my womb, a visceral reminder of the miracle that had just taken place. As I approached my children, a sudden explosion rocked the cave, sending a shower of debris into the air. A metallic claw shot through the opening, seizing my precious babies and pulling them from me as I tried to summon my strength but I quickly found that my Psychic powers bounced off the claw as if coated in a dark type aura.

As the claw retreated, it broke the cave wall completely, revealing a swarm of helicopters hovering menacingly above, their rotors slicing through the air. On the ground, an armada of vehicles and hundreds of Dark-type Pokémon glared at me with malicious intent. I tried to ignore them, my focus is instead drawn to the figure at the center of the chaos.

Madame Boss stood there, a tall, imposing woman with sharp features and an air of ruthless authority. Her hair cascaded over her shoulders, framing a cold, arrogant smirk that made my blood run cold. Her eyes seemed to bore into me, enjoying the terror that gripped my heart. Flanking her were two men, each cradling one of my children with a false sense of tenderness while pressing guns to their fragile skulls.

My heart pounded in my chest as fear threatened to overwhelm me. Desperation driving me, I stretched my paw out, begging for my children's lives.

Madame Boss's smirk only widened, her voice dripping with contempt as she sneered, "What a sight to see—A God begging man for something."

With a snap of her fingers, the Dark-type Pokémon responded to her command, unleashing a barrage of Dark Pulses at me. The pain was excruciating, each blast like a dagger of darkness slicing through my being. Yet I endured it for the sake of my children, my love for them unwavering in the face of this terrible threat. I would do anything to protect them, even if it meant withstanding the onslaught of an entire army.

In the midst of the relentless assault by the malevolent Dark-type creatures, gunshots reverberated through the cavernous expanse. Even as I valiantly endured the vicious onslaught, an irresistible force compelled me to steal a glance at the source of the dreadful noise. My heart quivered, nigh on breaking, as I beheld the limp forms of my beloved offspring, cast unceremoniously to the cold, unforgiving ground.

Madame Boss, a woman of unspeakable cruelty, shrieked at the men, her voice a cacophony of rage and disbelief.

"What have you done?" she demanded, her eyes wide with fury and shock.

My grief and horror, once contained within the fragile bounds of sanity, now gave rise to a primordial bellow that shook the very foundations of the earth. Psychic energies, unseen yet undeniably potent, coiled around the nefarious Dark-type Pokémon and the wretched humans who served them. They were hoisted into the air, mere playthings in the throes of my unfathomable despair.

With paws clenched in a futile attempt to hold onto the remnants of a shattered reality, I concentrated the full force of my anguish upon those who had caused it. In a horrifying instant, each life was extinguished, their forms reduced to unrecognizable heaps of gore. The only souls spared from my wrath were the execrable guards who had pulled the trigger—Miyamoto and another, their faces forever etched in my memory.

As the psychic energy held them in place, a paroxysm of terror seized Miyamoto.

She stammered out a pitiful plea for mercy, but no words could assuage the maelstrom of emotion that had consumed me.

"Please... forgive me," she begged, her voice trembling with fear.

Drawing ever nearer, I extended a trembling paw to her visage. A mere touch and the very fabric of Miyamoto's existence began to unravel. At first, it was imperceptible—a slight trembling in her form as the psychic energy within me connected to her on the deepest level. But as the connection grew stronger, the full force of my anguish and wrath surged through her, mercilessly tearing at the molecular bonds that held her together.

Her skin began to blister and boil, the heat of my psychic energy rendering her unrecognizable. Her eyes widened with terror, her final desperate pleas for mercy stifled by the pain that now consumed her. As I continued to channel my power, her body began to disintegrate, each atom separating from its neighbors and dissipating into the air.

The gruesome process continued, reducing Miyamoto to nothing more than a cloud of shimmering particles that hung in the air like a malevolent mist.

With a surge of determination, I clenched my paw, and the shimmering particles that once constituted Miyamoto began to coalesce. The air around her former form rippled and twisted, as if reality itself was bending to my will. Channeling an indescribable display of power, I forged a new being from the remnants of her disintegrated form—a grotesque chimera that defied comprehension.

This appalling creature was a fusion of human and Pokémon, its limbs and features was a sickening amalgamation of the two. The chimera's skin was a patchwork of scales and flesh, and its eyes, once filled with fear, now bore an emptiness that chilled me to the core. Its twisted body twitched and writhed, a testament to the unnatural forces that had given it life. In this dreadful moment, I had created an abomination that defied the very laws of nature.

Hovering above the monstrous creation, I allowed a single drop of my blood to fall upon it. As the crimson droplet struck its misshapen form, a curse took root, binding the chimera to a fate of eternal suffering for its unforgivable sin. The creature's anguished moans filled the air, a dreadful symphony that served as a reminder of the boundless depths of a mother's grief and the lengths to which she would go to avenge her children.

A camera, positioned discreetly within the cavern, captured Mew's every action. Heartbroken, Mew descended to the lifeless forms of her children, gently touching their small bodies. As her paws made contact, a transformation occurred—their forms were reduced to shimmering, ethereal wisps of golden light. Overcome with grief, Mew collapsed to the ground, her cries echoing through the desolate chamber.

Inside the dimly lit interior of the Team Rocket base. Giovanni and Ghetsis stood side by side, their eyes fixed on a screen displaying Mew's sorrowful actions. A sinister amusement danced in their eyes as they watched the heartrending display unfold.

Ghetsis turned to Giovanni, a twisted grin on his face. "You've outdone yourself, Giovanni," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "Eliminating Madame Boss through Miyamoto was a masterstroke."

Giovanni chuckled in response, his laughter cold and devoid of empathy.

" It was just a matter of convincing her to teleport Mew's children with defective clones."

He turned his gaze to the large, monolithic containers filled with green liquid that dominated the room. Suspended within the containers, two tiny bodies floated in eerie silence— Mew's children.

A perverse sense of satisfaction settled upon the two men as they reveled in their twisted scheme. Unbeknownst to Mew, her anguish and despair had played directly into their malevolent plan, leaving them poised to exploit the full potential of her legendary progeny.

Failure, failure, failure. It's just like the previous tests. Even with a Mew fossil, its DNA is simply too unstable to create a viable clone, not with so many gaps, not even when we fill them with other species.

I'm afraid the project is doomed to stay a pipe dream, no matter how many years we've invested in it.

...

Mew is about to give birth, we named each newborn, "Mewtwo."

None of us had any interest in the intern's blabbering on about what Mew likes to eat, but a discovery has been made.

...

I pride myself as a scientist and a respectable Pokémon researcher. But I suppose I surrendered my right to call myself respectable when I agreed to join this project.

The fossil wasn't enough, but the infants will be enough.

Embryos would have been preferable, but we don't have a hope of catching it before it is delivered.

...

An extraction team will be deployed within the next 24 hours. We will do what we must, and in the name of this scientific breakthrough, we will see this project to the end.

We will have our Mewtwo.

I will not fail again.

This time I will get you back, my dear daughter, Leaf Green.

The night was shrouded in darkness, and the only sound that could be heard was the mournful wail of Mew, huddled inside her cave. She gazed at the spot where her children had been taken from her, lost in a moment of despair.

Reality itself began to warp and twist, like a tapestry that had been yanked on either end. The very fabric of existence was being stretched thin, and in the middle of this eldritch transformation, the Pokémon Unknown assembled themselves into an eye-like shape.

Their forms were shifting and amorphous, changing at will like phantasms out of a nightmare. Their flesh was sickly, translucent gray, and their eyes were black pits of despair. As they took on their new form, Mew could feel the very essence of reality being pulled apart at the seams.

The eye that they had formed was like a window into another world, a dark realm beyond the veil of sanity. Its pupil dilated and contracted, almost as if it was trying to communicate something to Mew. She shuddered at the thought of what horrors might lie beyond that portal and tried to back away from it.

But the Pokémon Unknown was too powerful, too inhuman in their abilities. They continued to stare at her, their forms pulsing and shifting in the darkness. Mew could feel the weight of their gaze upon her, and it filled her with a sense of dread that she couldn't shake.

It was then that Giratina appeared, his form looming over her like an ancient titan. His voice was like thunder, shaking the very earth beneath her feet. "Do not be afraid, my sister," he said. "I have come to offer you a gift."

Mew hesitated, unsure of what he meant.

"Why are you here, Giratina?" she whispered, a hint of fear in her voice.

Giratina chuckled the sound grating on Mew's nerves. "I came to console my sister for her loss," he said.

Mew narrowed her eyes, suspicion creeping into her mind. "What do you want?" she asked.

Giratina's answer was cryptic. "I can reunite you with your children," he said.

Mew's heart skipped a beat, but she hesitated. She knew there would be a price to pay.

In an instant, the fabric of reality was torn asunder, and a gaping maw to the Limbo realm opened before Mew. Its dark and ominous presence seemed to seep into the very fabric of her being, filling her with an otherworldly dread.

Mew's fear intensified as she asked, "What's the price?"

Giratina's reply was ominous. "Open the door to the distortion realm," he said.

Mew, unable to resist the promise of seeing her children again, agreed.

" I'll send my avatar to form a Bifröst between the distortion realm and the mirror world."

With a heavy heart, she stepped into the portal, disappearing into the unknown abyss beyond. The weight of her sacrifice hung heavy in the air, and the dark and foreboding presence of Giratina lingered long after she was gone.

On that day, the greed and lust of man's desire for power compelled a God to abandon this world while opening a gateway for the devil to come. Truly the sins of man will carry this world into a never-ending abyss as the world will turn to Ash.

[ Author Note: Well that was an intense chapter to write especially the ending so looks like I have addressed it. Project Eve is Miyamoto as she was destroyed and remained by Mew into a monstrosity that will suffer for eternity. Mew abandoned this world as she looks for her children's souls in Limbo. In the anime, the fossil Mew's eyelash was a plot point that was addressed in this as it wasn't enough. Yes, Ghetsis is the leader of Team Plasma as they also have a Mewtwo from the Black And White Genestic movie. And why did Austin barf when getting this information because he was seeing Miyamoto's video recordings of the incident so yep he witnessed Mew massacring Madame Boss and the Pokemon and destroying and remaking Miyamoto into Project Eve. ]
