"What do we do?" Steven asked frantically.
"I- i don't know.." garnet stuttered.
"Well, we can start by keeping her at my place. She can't run into her room and it'll be harder to run away as it's in little homeschool." Peridot said.
"That's very kind of you peridot, but we also need to keep an eye on her." Pearl added
"Oh, don't worry! I have 5 bedrooms!
If you couldn't tell i made the layout." Peridot giggled.
"What do you think garnet?" Steven asked.
"Yeah, that sounds good for now.." garnet stated.
{warp}
All 5 of them stepped off of the warp. Garnet shielding amethyst from any unwanted attention.
"Okay, right up here!" Peridot said, pulling Steven.
They walked in the house, it looked so small from the outside, but so big in the inside.
"I think this is the best room for her right now, there's no windows so it's darker, and it's harder to escape.
The bed isn't the best in the world but, Stevens dad gave it to me. So she should like it." Peridot rambled, pulling them through the blue colored house.
They all walked into the room.
"Tahda" peridot laughed.
There was a full size bed, a closet, a lamp and some led lights.
"We should probably take the lamp out." Garnet said.
"Yeah that would be smart" pearl added.
Steven was silent, just staring at amethyst.
He was still confused on why his powers weren't working.
"Is something wrong, Steven?" Pearl asked.
"Oh uh no, im going to get some fresh air real quick I'll be right back" Steven said, giving a quick grin.
He leaned on the brick wall next to the door.
"Why didn't it work?" He whispered to himself.
He plucked a flower, to see if it was his powers.
Then he remembered pink pearl.
His heart sank.
He couldn't heal her crack.
These are self inflicted, why can't I heal her?
He thought to himself.
He looked up and saw bismuth and had an idea.
"Hey bismuth, could I test something on you, it involves you getting hurt though." Steven asked.
"Uhh, how hurt are we talking?" She queried.
"Not that hurt just a little cut." He replied.
"Uh yeah I guess, sure." She said.
"Okay, great. Stay right here." Steven stated.
Steven ran to the warp, grabbing a blade and then warped back.
Bismuth was still there.
"Okay bismuth, this might sting a little." Steven said hastily.
"Yeah okay." She responded.
Steven cut a tiny nick on her arm,
Bismuth replied by flinching.
"Sorry." Steven said sincerely.
"It's fine, haha." The big gem replied.
"Okay, now step 2." Steven said quickly.
"Is this part also going to hurt?" Bismuth questioned.
"The exact opposite." Steven laughed.
Steven licked his hand and put it near the cut.
It then immediately glittered and sparkled and then the cut was gone.
"Hmm." Steven signed.
"Something wrong Steven?" She asked.
"Uh no, but could I ask you one more kinda weird favor?" He looked up at her.
"I mean I guess." Bismuth laughed.
"Okay, again this is very strange I know. Bud I just need to test something." Steven said.
"I've probably heard, and done worse." She smirked.
Steven laughed.
"Okay, could you just slightly cut yourself? Just a little nick." Steven said, praying she agrees.
"Yeah you're right, that is a strange request. But I trust you so okay." Bismuth replied.
"Oh thank you so much." Steven said relived.
Bismuth cut a tiny little mart in her arm.
"That good enough?" Bismuth smiled.
"Yep! Okay, step two again." Steven stated.
He licked his hand again, putting it next to the wound.
It also immediately healed.
His theory was right.
"That all Steven?"
"Yeah bismuth, thank you so much."
Steven said speed walking to a trash can.
Bismuth just laughed and walked away.
Steven hid the blade in the bottom of the trash.
He then ran back inside of peridots house.
Steven walked into the bedroom where they all were still.
"Hey guys, can you come here real quick?"
Steven asked.
They all looked at each-other and followed Steven out of the room.
"I'm pretty sure I know why my powers didn't work.."
The gems stared at him, waiting for an answer..
