Hiccup and Stoick came back the next day from the voyage with new dragons starting to live with the alpha.
Once they landed, they were soon approached by Valka.
"Welcome back. How did it go?"
Valka asked.
"After our stop at Caldera Bay, everything happened as always."
Hiccup answered dismounting Toothless.
"How's Astrid?"
He asked.
"She tries to process things."
The mother said taking the hammer from the father.
Once they unbuckle everything, the Night Fury went elsewhere while the family, and Skullcrusher, are heading to their cave for lunch.
Toothless heads to the cave where the dragons are still recovering and see the Light Fury staring at her basket of fish.
"Hi, Luna."
The white dragon looks up to see where the source of sound comes from.
"Oh, hi Toothless."
Luna said.
"How are you doing?"
"I'm okay. You?"
"Same."
Luna looks back at the fish which the Night Fury notices.
"What's wrong?"
He asked.
"It's about the blind Viking elsewhere in the nest."
Her answer makes sense.
"Yeah, I know that feeling. Hers is way worse."
Toothless said as he sits next to her.
"I mean, I kinda feel bad for her after she experienced the things I do in the past. I just wish I would understand, but, after my encounter with humans before yours, I'm having a hard time trusting them since the bad ones did bad things."
"Well, sometimes, when you live in a world where you were isolated from reality, it's hard to choose whether we choose to trust strangers or not. I mean, I know who's responsible for the extinction of my kind, but I was still bonding with a human of my age. There are many ways to learn with one another, and that's okay. We were trusted not to be killed by one another."
Toothless looks at Luna's eyes.
"Luna, if you wish to face the future, go for it. Nobody is gonna stop you from reaching what you wish to reach."
Luna thinks about it for a moment.
"Well, I guess I gotta go because I need to eat my fish."
That was his last word before leaving the chamber.
"I think Toothless is right. I guess meeting this girl won't hurt to try."
Those are her thoughts before finishing her fish.
"Astrid, I promise you, Dad won't bite."
Hiccup said as he guides Astrid to the kitchen where his parents are waiting.
"I don't know, Hiccup. I mean, from what my old people told me, he is as vast as a mountain, in their opinion."
Astrid said carefully not to trip on rocks.
"That's old people talks. Trust me, you two will get along as you get along with me and Mum."
Hiccup replied until they reached the kitchen.
"Hello, Astrid."
Valka greeted them once she got a jug of cold water.
"Hi, Valka."
Astrid greeted back.
"So, what's for lunch?"
Hiccup asked.
"Roasted fish, just like yesterday!"
Stoick's voice echoed throughout the area as he walks in with the plate of said lunch.
Astrid hides behind Hiccup terrified.
"Dad, your voice scared her."
Said the boy.
"Eh... Sorry, Lass."
Said the father.
Lunch was not bad, to say the least.
In fact that Stoick may be vast, but he had a heart of gold.
Although he may be concerned about Hiccup's antics lately.
Once lunch was over, Hiccup excused his parents that he would take Astrid somewhere, and Valka approved but told him to never mess up again like the last time.
"What do you mean 'last time'?"
Astrid asked in confusion.
"Trust me, you don't wanna know."
Hiccup replied quickly as he takes her out of the kitchen.
"Where are you taking me?"
She asked carefully not to trip into rocks.
"Had Mum told you about the rescue mission?"
He asked to make sure.
"Yeah, while you and your dad are gone."
She replied.
"Good, because I'm taking you to the dragons' resting chambers."
Astrid suddenly freaked out.
"What?!"
"Don't worry, I'll make sure that no dragon would ever harm you. My dragon will help me."
He reassures.
They soon entered the chambers.
"I don't know, Hiccup. Do you think that meeting with dragons is too soon?"
She asked.
"Not at all. Mum told you about what was going on, right?"
He commented.
"I guess..."
She replied until she bumps into something, or rather, someone.
"There's a dragon in front of me, isn't it?"
She spoke.
"You could say that."
Astrid quickly steps back.
"I'm so sorry, dragon. I didn't mean to do that."
She said to the dragon of the moon.
Luna croons in reply.
"Luna said it's alright, she didn't mind."
Hiccup translated for the Light Fury.
"Who's Luna?"
Astrid asked.
"The Light Fury in front of you."
He answered.
"Luna, huh? I admit, that's a pretty cool name."
She complimented.
"Why thank you, young maiden."
Luna said.
"Luna appreciates your compliment."
Hiccup said.
The boy suddenly had an idea.
He steps towards Astrid and takes her hand.
"Hiccup, what are you doing?"
Astrid asked.
"Trust me."
Hiccup said as he held out her hand.
"Look away."
The maiden obeyed not trusting her voice.
"Let her come to you."
She didn't know what he meant until she felt something smooth and scaly in her hand until she realized that she was touching a dragon.
"Luna trusts you now."
Those are his last words before the silence came, aside from the noisy dragons.
She didn't know what to say.
So, in the end, she snuggles upon the white dragon.
Meanwhile, Hiccup and Toothless look at each other with a glad smile.
