Bianca Robbins Chapter 4

Later in that week there's still no word from Hudson or how he turned out. To be honest Bianca is grown worried about what might've happened to the old gargoyle with such a man as that Macbeth looking to butt heads with him with whatever deviousness he had in mind.

Her grandfather feels the same way, but with far other things plaguing his mind beside it. And right there beside the warm and calming fireplace Robbins' muse has granted him inspiration once more after hearing over the radio that the Scrolls of Merlin were returned to the police intact.

Stroking his chin thoughtfully with a smile on his face, Robbins said "You know, Gilly, Bianca, all this fuss about the Scrolls of Merlin has got the old juices flowing. There may be another book in me yet." He then picks up a nearby tape recorder that he usually uses to record what he wants to be written down in a new book and for his publisher to type down. "The Sword and the Staff, A Book of Merlin. Frontispiece. The written word is all that stands between memory and oblivion. Without books as our anchors, we're cast adrift, neither teaching nor learning. They are windows on the past, mirrors on the present, and prisms reflecting all possible futures. Books are lighthouses erected in the dark sea of time."

Bianca always enjoyed listening to her grandfather whenever he spoke this way. So wonderful as a little girl that it often soothed her right to sleep.

Not tonight.

Outside Bianca notices a shadow that doesn't belong on the outer wall erected at the front of the estate. Recognizing the silhouette that's, also, listening to her grandfather closely through an open window Bianca smiles. Kissing Gilly softly and stroking her head Bianca moves quietly so not to interrupt and distract her grandfather from his important work. She slips outside, shutting the door behind her, Bianca goes to greet their late-night visitor.

"Evening, Lass," said Hudson, gruffly.

"Good evening, Hudson. Good to see you're all right. I was starting to get concerned when we didn't hear from you," said Bianca, speaking in a touch of gentle admonishment.

"Sorry about that. Been a little preoccupied. Just came to check on you and Robbins. And maybe see if it was all right to come back," said Hudson.

"Of course you can. Feel free to do so again whenever you like. I know my grandfather would enjoy your visits and I meant what I said about teaching you to read. We can start whenever you like," said Bianca, invitingly.

"Actually about that…you see, it's not just me that needs help when it comes to learning the written word. There's another in my clan that needs teaching as I do. We were wondering if you could come to where we live for the lessons. That is if it wouldn't inconvenience you," said Hudson, tentatively.

"I'd love to. Just tell me where you live and I'll be there," said Bianca.

"My clan resides in the clock tower in Manhattan above the police station. It might be a little tricky getting in there. Here's what you need to do. This weekend, without rousing too much suspicion, ask for Detective Elisa Maza. Mention my name to her and she'll lead you right to us. That way you can find your way without her for your visits in the future," instructed Hudson.

"I'll do just that," said Bianca. "Would you like to come in for something to drink?"

Shaking his head in polite refusal, Hudson said "I appreciate the offer but no. I don't want to interrupt his work. I only came to check on you three. I'll see you this weekend, Bianca."

Hudson then takes off, gliding on the air currents.

"See you then," said Bianca, looking forward to it.

Heads up everyone there's someone on fanfiction you need to seriously watch out for. Early a couple of days ago after I woke up I was checking my email and I saw I had a new guest review on my A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 sequel. I took a look at it and got a very big shock. Some random person I've never spoken to before on here or anywhere else in my life was basically threatening me. Intimidating and practically ordering me to write a threatening letter to someone on their behalf, telling to stay off of for life or else they and everyone else close to them would be killed, disgustingly telling them to kill themselves. And at the bottom of the message this crazy person wasn't done. Warning me that if I don't send the letter then they would kill me and for confirmation to email them to make absolutely sure I complied with their demands. Of course I did nothing of the sort. Instead of doing what they wanted I reported them to the website, sent copies of this deplorable guest review message to police officer cousins of mine so they could have it on file, and I went to a nearby police station and reported it.

When I spoke to the police officers and they checked everything on the message they saw, that while the address and names of business were accurate the people and their names were not. They agree it was more than likely a scam because of the email address on the bottom in order to perhaps get access to personal information or potentially hack my computer. Despite that I'm still very happy they took it seriously as I showed and told them everything. All the same I'm still very happy that I brought this to the attention of law enforcement. Even though the entire thing might be fake I'm still very happy to have brought this to the attention of those who can do something about it if it was legit in someway. This may have been a scam, but it's obvious these people are beyond irresponsible if they try to goad people into sending death threats to random strangers just to get access to info.

Be that as it may if this does unfortunately happen to you do not send any messages to the email addresses they put down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you bring the message to the authorities immediately whether it is legit or not.

Because it's a guest review it might not be visible for a couple of days as it loads. But when it does I'm definitely pressing the report abuse button.

I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.

So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
