Tink awoke well-rested in her quarters and made her way back up to the deck, bidding good morning to every face she saw on her way up. Shielding her eyes as she stepped onto the deck, she spied Hook in his usual position by the ship's wheel, the sun making him seem to be almost glowing and all the more beautiful to her.
She longed to have him notice her, the many times she'd been aboard, her feelings for him had changed from curiosity and attraction when they first met before she met Pan, to hatred and anger (with both him and herself) when his and Pan's rivalry began to now being cautious and amazement the more time she spent with him and his crew without Pan.
Seeing him without the threat of Peter chopping off his other hand was eye-opening to Tink, he was so caring and supportive of his crew, if any of them had a problem they knew they could go straight to him and it would be solved to the best of his ability.
She found herself falling deeper in love with him every day she spent near him, every time he brushed against her as they went about their separate tasks made her skin tingle and her wings and heart flutter.
She sometimes wondered if he knew about her feelings, the crew would be teasing her about her crush and he would walk by or she would catch him looking at her from the corner of her eye but she would never be brave enough to admit it, admitting it to his crew had been embarrassing enough but she doubted that Hook would tease her about something that serious.
She had no way of knowing that Hook was watching her for a reason, that he longed for her as much as she longed for him, had fantasised about her night and day but he didn't dare let her know. It would put them both at risk, Pan would be furious and surely it would break some sort of code or something. Sure, the world wouldn't end but any time he felt brave enough to tell her, he would get a sinking feeling in his stomach. And from his experience, sinking was something to be avoided at all costs.
