Chapter 2 - Piper get a staff to show that she is the next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird after her mother
Piper's POW
It have been two months since Lucy passed from the avalanche and that I was choose as the next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird and I still have a lot to do to live up to my mother's legacy
Piper was reading a book that her mother left for her about the legendary Thunderbird when Jeff enter the room with a box of thing that Lucy made for her when she found that she was pregnant with Piper
"Hi daughter," said Jeff as he put the box on the floor near Piper's bed and sit down on his knees and look at Piper "how are you doing today?"
Piper put a bookmark in the book before close the book and look at Jeff but she say nothing because she never got the chance to say goodbye to her mother and she is suffering from survivor guilt
"Daughter," added Jeff as he took Piper's hands and put his hands around Piper's hands "I know that you are suffering from survivor guilt but right now I am here to help you ok?"
Piper still say nothing but nodded her head and smile a little bit
"Ok," replied Jeff as he smile and then he pick up the box before he put the box on the bed "Lucy make this box for you when she found out that she was pregnant with you and she made boxes for your siblings and myself"
Jeff smile and leave the room so that Piper can look at the box in private and then Piper saw the stuffed animal of the legendary Thunderbird that Lucy made for Piper on her 5th birthday
Little Piper woke up to the birds tweeting outside her window and she smile because she love to hear the birds' song in the morning and then Lucy enter the room with a beautiful present in her hands
"Good morning sweetie," said Lucy as she smile and went to the bed "how did you sleep last night"
"Good morning mummy and I slept well last night," replied Little Piper as she smile happy and then she saw the present "for me?"
"Yes my sweetheart for you because it is your birthday," replied Lucy as she smile and give Little Piper her birthday present "happy birthday Piper"
Little Piper smile happy and open her birthday present and then she saw a stuffed animal of the legendary Thunderbird
"Mummy is this the legendary Thunderbird that you are the guardian of?" ask Little Piper as she look at Lucy with curiosity in her eyes
"Yes that is the legendary Thunderbird that you are the guardian of and one day you will be the next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird after me," replied Lucy as she smile and pat Little Piper's head "and I have a very big surprise for you"
"What is the very big surprise mummy?" ask Little Piper as she look at Lucy with curiosity in her eyes
"Well if I told you it would not been a very big surprise," said Lucy as she smile and pat Little Piper's head again "but get ready and meet me by the swimming pool"
Little Piper nodded and Lucy leave the room and after a while Little Piper went to the swimming pool and then she saw the legendary Thunderbird that her mother is the guardian of
"Wow," said Little Piper with stars in her eyes and she look at Lucy "the legendary Thunderbird is so beautiful"
"I know and the legendary Thunderbird will be your one day" replied Lucy as she smile
The legendary Thunderbird sat down and let Little Piper pet the legendary Thunderbird
"Wow the legendary Thunderbird is so soft and warm mummy" said Little Piper as she smile and hug the legendary Thunderbird
"Yes and the legendary Thunderbird is gentle and care about her guardian," replied Lucy as she went to the legendary Thunderbird and pet her too "and she will choose her next guardian"
"How?" ask Little Piper as she with curiosity in her eyes
"If I die and you are separated from the family and trap somewhere," replied Lucy as she look at Little Piper "the legendary Thunderbird will protect you and choose you as the next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird after me"
Little Piper nodded and she look at the legendary Thunderbird
"You will protect me right?" ask Little Piper
The legendary Thunderbird look at Little Piper and put a beautiful feather crown on Little Piper's forehead
"Wow," said Little Piper as she smile happy "thank you so much legendary Thunderbird"
Lucy smile and she saw that Little Piper was perfect for the role of the next guardian of the legendary Thunderbird
Piper smile and put the stuffed animal of the legendary Thunderbird on a shelf and went to the kitchen to get a drink and then she saw the legendary Thunderbird
"Hello my dear," said Piper as she went to the legendary Thunderbird and pet her "hiding from the storm?"
The legendary Thunderbird nodded and snuggle into Piper's warm hand
"I don't blame you," added Piper as she smile "storms are scaring"
The legendary Thunderbird nodded and then she give Piper a beautiful feather bracelet and Piper took the beautiful feather bracelet and put it around her wrist and then the beautiful feather bracelet transform into a beautiful feather staff and then a beautiful white cat wearing a flower crown came out of the staff and land on the table and look at Piper
"Oh my god you are so beautiful," replied Piper as she smile and she pat the beautiful white cat "I am going to call you 808"
808 smile and purred around Piper and make sure that she is safe and that she can protect her friend and family from anyone who went to hurt them
