Super Luigi Sunshine! Part 15: Empty Pen Anybody?
Shine 1/12: The Huge Gooper Blooper!
A/N: Bianco Hills is now done, if you haven't noticed the Shine count is displaying 1/12, that is because it is the first Shine for Ricco Harbour but the twelfth Shine in total. I'm sorry for all the super short chapters but I don't know how to make a large chapter for just one small mission, either way I'm sorry for the abrupt ending last chapter but I want every mission to be on its own unique chapter, this may change later on if things get any worse size wise.
Also, my Ricco Harbour is smaller 'land' wise but has a lot more boats and whatnot, so for the main land parts just cut the higher up area in half and remove the lower stone area with the tower but triple the amount of water, boats, docking bay bars and whatnot.
^Day 4, Eight O'clock - Ricco Harbour^
Mario landed down onto a metal area, he could hear machinery all around him but he didn't care, what he did care about was Shadow Mario who was holding the seemingly magic brush not too far away.
"Hold it right there you two!" A Policemen (Pianta) shouts running over with two other Policemen, they each held small handguns.
"Which one of you is the real Mario?" The cop asked as the three stop some distance away, the left one was aiming at Mario while the right one at Shadow Mario, the middle one was the talker.
"I am!" Mario shouts.
"Alright, you there run along, this guy needs to speak with me!" The cop ordered and Shadow Mario jumped onto a boat, he let loose a stream of oil into the boat's portholes and long jumped onto the water, which had already been oiled. He skated across the water and did a super high jump -bigger then Mario's triple jump by far- up onto an area with some huge metal creates.
"But. . . but. . ." Mario stutters watching the imposter stand on the other side of the harbour.
"Listen up you, you fiend!" The cop says as the three stomped towards him. "See all that oil? Yeah your fault isn't it!" The cop yelled pointing a fat finger at Mario.
"No! Now let me get to those boxes!" Mario demands.
"That's exactly what we want to hear, go to those boxes and remove that oil filled one you sent here! Now beat it brat!" The cop yelled and shot at the gap between Mario's shoes threatening, Mario jumped surprised by the sudden bang and also by the cop firing at him.
"I'll do my-ah best!" Mario shouts running off up a metal ramp leading to a boat.
"Ay you there!" A brown skinned Pianta shouts from in front of a door leading into the boat. (The boat that in the game has the cage, my version doesn't) The Pianta had an eye patch and was missing one hand but it was replaced with a hook. So basically your stereotypical Pirate look.
"Sorry about the oil but it wasn't me!" Mario defends expecting the Pianta to attack him with his hook.
"Now hold up buddy, I'm-ah no blaming you fer this ere mess! I saw that no good doppelganger of yours squirt this stuff en on ma boat only moments ago! I'ma just wishing to ask ya if you were to be so kind in-ta cleaning up this ere mess," The Pianta says calmly, Mario could see oil leaking from under the doorframe.
"Certainly, especially since you respect the fact I'm innocent," Mario says and walked to the closed door.
"Watch your step when inside, it's-ah real mess in there," The Pianta warns and Mario opened the door, inside was a smaller version of the normal Blobs, this one had spikes covering its body and was made of Oil instead of random goop. (So a Spiny instead of a Goomba)
"AHH!" Mario screamed slamming the door and backing off in fear, he heard a splat and guessed that the Blob was dead. "What was that?" Mario asked.
"That there be something that the Oil's been making, some form of spikey substance that helps spread the substance, I think somebody 'round ere was capturing them for free and endless oil but that may just be a rumour," The Pianta says.
"I have created a name for that spikey variation of the Blob," Emile announces.
"How did you see it from behind me?" Mario asked.
"Your pump can talk?" The Pianta asks surprised.
"My Oil sensory vision shows anything in a ten metre radius around me that is made of Oil, this works as long as nothing hard is in the way, you being organic makes you not hard, since normal radars are only limited to two dimensional planes unless azimuth is involved I was given an upgraded module to allow for not just a radar but a visor type device, please don't ask why I have this."
"What a smart machine," The Pianta says.
"Also I have named those spikey Blobs as Spikey Blobs, I tried keeping to your level of complexity and creativity so you wouldn't feel ashamed of yourself."
"Thanks a lot, but can I just kill it with water because as far as I know Oil is quite immune to water," Mario asks.
"It isn't real Oil so maybe, I know it isn't real because my scans show-"
"I get it!" Mario interrupts and opened the door again, inside were two Spikey Blobs. Mario sprayed them and they died like normal Blobs. Mario walked into the Boat's interior and looked around, because Oil is a darky green/brown colour it blended in with the boat's 'Oil' mimicking tiled floor design. "Anything around me?" Mario asked.
"My sensors are picking up metalloids that form the boat, there is also a lot of Oil around here with an unusually high toxicity level, I would advise not touching it." Emile states.
"Thanks a lot," Mario sarcastically says and sprayed around the dark boat, it was after a few minutes that he realised a boat with windows shouldn't be dark when it's daylight outside. Mario looked at the six portholes and noticed they had been closed and covered by Oil, the Oil was somehow able to cling to the wall defying gravity. Mario sprayed a porthole and sunlight flooded in revealing the horror that was waiting for him, a huge Spiky Blob surrounded by many smaller Spikey Blobs. A Spikey Blob jumped at Mario so he ducked, it landed on his back above FLUDD and the spikes dug into his back. Mario screamed and could feel the expanding in size as it readied itself to blow. Mario back-flipped and the Spikey Blob flew off his back and onto the ground, Mario sprayed it and it exploded with water.
"Attack the cleaner! He mustn't be allowed to remove us!" A garbled voice yells and Mario saw the huge Spikey Blob pointing at him, this huge blob of Oil also had a mouth with sharp teeth. The smaller Spikey Blobs begin flowing across the Oil covered metal towards Mario, some already growing bigger. Mario stepped back and his left foot slid in some Oil, he spun around and accidentally grabbed the spray button on FLUDD and squirted water in a 360 degree radius. Mario slammed into a metal wall and quickly sprayed his feet. Mario looked at the Spikey Blobs and saw most were dead but more were quickly forming. Mario ran towards the larger one while spraying the ground moments before he stepped onto it. The Spiky Blobs jumped at him and he ducked down and slid towards the larger one on the flowing water he had made. Mario was surprised when he felt a weird feeling in his feet but realised it was FLUDD sucking water from under his shoes. Mario let loose a burst of water at the larger Spikey Blob and it exploded when a single droplet hit it.
"So much for-ah boss fight," Mario says happily. He deliberately used the Oil near him to spin around while spraying, he then cleaned his shoes and the leftover bits under them. Mario left the boat and saw the Pianta.
"Thanks there buddy, I wish I could help ya with something but I don't have anything of worth. I know you're attempting to clean your name by getting the Shine Sprites and I wish I could give ya one but if I actually had one myself that'll be treason against my island!" The Pianta says and gave Mario a slow salute.
"Don't worry about it, anything for a civilian in need," Mario happily says and then added. "Except abusive things that take advantage of my niceness."
"You aren't that nice."
"Quiet FLUDD," Mario hissed.
"I know!" The Pianta shouts and ran inside the boat, he came out after a minute or two with a piece of paper. "This ere allows you to ride The Big Daddy's Surfing Bloopers without paying, it was a gift to me from him but I think you should have it!" The Pianta hands Mario the paper and Mario pockets it.
"I'll be on my way now, see you later!" Mario shouts jumping up higher onto the boat and using FLUDD's hover nozzle to reach the elevated stone area. Mario ran to Shadow Mario who stood atop multiple huge, metal crates stacked upon each other to form a pyramid. "I have you now!" Mario shouts pointing at his copy. Shadow Mario laughed and tapped the crate under him with the brush's wooden end, it made two small tapping sounds and the crates all rumbled.
"Enjoy being inked!" Shadow Mario yelled sounding exactly like Mario, he then drew a circle onto the top crate and fell threw it. Mario was about to jump up the crates when suddenly they blasted apart slamming into buildings, the docking bay and the ocean. A huge Blooper, said Blooper had jumped really high into the air. Mario fell over trying to watch how high it went and noticed it was falling back down. Mario scrambled backwards in fear as the Blooper fell. It landed with a huge thud and glared at Mario.
"Hello Mario! I am Gooper Blooper!" The huge Blooper states in a dark, low voice.
"I'm-ah Mario and I'm-ah here to collect the Shine Sprites and clean Delfino," Mario states.
"Well then we have some problems here, listen up! I'm suppost to defile Delfino with filth and Oil and whatnot, I'm suppost to stop you from getting my Shine Sprite and last of all, {slants his two huge eyes} I'm supposed to kill Mario!" Gooper Blooper shouts.
"Well I won't let you-ah do that!" Mario shouts with some hand gestures.
"THEN DIE AT THE HANDS OF MY TENTACLES!" Gooper Blooper yelled smashing the ground with his nine huge tentacles. (in the game he actually has nine) Mario prepared himself and watched with horror as Gooper Blooper spun around while spewing Oil and Ink everywhere, this formed a huge lake around him, said lake flattened out but didn't flow.
"He is probably like Petey, that being able to form goop but also has the water weakness, I would suggest refilling!" FLUDD suggests.
"No one, that'll look like I'm-ah fleeing!" Mario shouts and clicked to spray at Gooper Blooper, FLUDD quacked and no water came out. "Oh no this isn't going to ennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd wellllllll!" Mario screamed as Gooper Blooper whipped him off of the stone area with a huge tentacle, Mario slammed into the Oily water and felt FLUDD refill through his body. Mario swam to safety from the Oil and saw Gooper Blooper spit out a huge ball of Oil at him. Mario swam quickly to the metal area at the start and heard a huge splash from behind him. Mario ran up the ramp and onto the boat and hovered across the gap between the stone area and the boat. Mario ran at Gooper Blooper and jumped aside as a ball of Oil flew at him, Mario kept running as he did this and reached Gooper Blooper in seconds.
"Back for more are we? Hah! You couldn't even hurt me if all my tentacles were gone and I had a cork stuck in my nose!" Gooper Blooper jested and Mario sprayed at his open nose/mouth and Gooper Blooper stared at him.
"What the bloody hell are you doing? I'm an underwater creature by nature with the ability to go on land, what do you reckon a bit of water would do to me?" Gooper Blooper asked and Mario thought for a moment before Gooper Blooper slammed at tentacle into the ground loudly. "Just get closer so I can hit you into the water again! I have places to be and Bloopers to see!" Mario ignored him but still ran closer, a tentacle swung at him so he jumped over it. Another swung and Mario jumped again. Mario reached Gooper Blooper and threw a fireball at him. "Ouch! That hurt, don't do that or I'll do more then splash you into the water!" Mario threw another. "Alrighty! You asked for it!" Gooper Blooper jumped forward and landed on Mario, he would have completely crushed him if not for the invincible machine on his back, said machine also having a very jagged top that if pressed too deeply into a soft, organic material would hurt. Gooper Blooper screamed in pain and jumped up really high, truck loads of ink sprayed out of him and he smashed into the water below and swum away in pain, leaving ink and blood behind him. Mario was drenched by the ink and noticed that within the flood of ink was also a Shine Sprite. Mario grabbed it and everything that Gooper Blooper had just done dissolved away, Mario was also teleported back to the Shine Gate. . .
The Pirate Pianta stood watching from inside his boat, he also held a transmitter to his mouth.
"Mario has defeated Gooper Blooper, I'll be starting my Ricco Harbour duties once he comes back," The Pianta says while he took off the fake hook hand, his real hand was under it. He also removed his eye patch and put on a pair of sunglasses.
"Also Gonzalo," Luigi says sounding static-y, "Just remember that Big Daddy and Pirate guy are two different people, so is Mr. Shades and Gonzalo!" Luigi states.
"I know how to do my job, and don't worry! Mario doesn't suspect a thing!" Gonzalo says smiling, he was smiling because he was thinking of all the money he's getting from this.
