The bat signal lights up in the Gotham night sky. Batman flies in on a winged jet pack, landing on the roof and dissolves it by nanotech. Batman stands there, waiting for the figure to step out into the light. "You needed me, commissioner," asked Batman. The figure steps out, revealing a man in a white suit with black gloves and a black mask in the shape of a skull. "I'm not the commissioner, but I figured that since you are a private eye, you'll take anyone's services." Batman squints his glowing blue eyes. "What do you want, Black Mask?" Black Mask casually strolls up to Batman. "As I'm sure you heard, the Gotham Merchants Bank got torched just a few nights ago. Millions in cash got burned, not just mine but everyone who had accounts there." Batman follows him with his eyes, analyzing his movements carefully, immediately suspicious of the crime lord.

"You want me to find the person who did it, right?" "Well, that is part of your job, right? You find the person that torched my cash, and I will pay you as much as you want. So, how about 10 million dollars to get the ball rolling?" Batman ponders for a moment, staring down at the roof deep in thought. "Don't think too hard." "I'll do it," said Batman. Black Mask holds his palms up with his forearms folded in. "Very good." "But you can keep your money. I'll find him for free." Black Mask makes a slight chuckle. "Oh, so you're a charity worker now?"

"That's not the issue. I don't need to be paid for my services now. I also have a good idea on where to find this person." Black Mask folds his hands behind him now. "So you'll take the job, but you don't want money? All right, all right. I'll be at the Sionis Steel Mill when you want to find me." Batman forms his jet pack and flies off of the rooftop. However, unknown to Black Mask, Batman had scanned him during their talk: he knows that Roman has hired an assassin to kill Anarky.

Anarky is with his followers inside of an abandoned courthouse, standing on the upper level behind the pedestal. His fellow anarchists applaud him as he paces with his arms folded, seeming to be conflicted about something. "It seems that we may have underestimated Zachariah Kincaid. Of all the corporate powers in town, he seems to be the only one actively doing something to help the people of Gotham. Sure, Bruce Wayne donates money to the orphanage, but it is miniscule at best. Zachariah gave up a life of luxury in spite of his wealth because he wanted to do more for the people. If we can find him again, he can help us in our cause."

Just then, Batman walks into the courthouse with everyone having their eyes centered on him. Batman stops walking and looks up at Anarky. "I'm glad you're here. I take it that you want to go over the plan we discussed last night." Batman widens his eyes a little. "We need to hurry, though; Black Mask's assassin is almost here."

Batman now stands outside of the Solomon Wayne courthouse, looking both ways on the empty street, sensing an ominous presence. He guards himself emotionally, knowing that this moment will be hard, but he has planned for it. "Come out, Copperhead. I know you're here." Approaching him from his front is an androgynous woman with spiky blonde hair and glowing yellow eyes with black slits like a snake. She has tattoos on her chest above her breasts, and she wears a brown sleeveless jacket with brown pants and bandages wrapped around her bare feet. Her right hand has two silver, poison tipped claws on the index and middle finger. Copperhead now voluptuously strolls around Batman.

"So, you knew I was following you," asked Copperhead in a South American accent. "Of course. I knew Black Mask would hire an assassin to kill Anarky, but he needed someone with detective skills to find him first, which is why he hired me." Copperhead now stands a few feet away from Batman and holds her hips. "And I suppose now you're going to be a typical hero and stop me from going in?" Batman squints his eyes a little. "I'm not stopping you," said Batman calmly. Copperhead seems a bit surprised. "So you are just going to stand here and let me attack the people inside?" "That's what I said," responds Batman. Copperhead seems to be getting upset.

"You're joking, right? Are you playing with me?" Batman sighs. "I told you, you're free to go in." Copperhead smirks. "You're a poor protector, Batman, but I'm already inside the building." Batman looks at her confused. "What are you talking about?" "The original me is right here with you. I want you to know that these people's deaths will be your fault." Copperhead sees that his expression is still serious. "Is this the part where I beg you not to kill them? Am I supposed to get nervous and desperate and say no, don't kill them, they're innocent people? Do I look like a boy scout to you," asked Batman. Copperhead laughs. "Suit yourself, but just know that you could have done something."

Just then, screaming comes from inside. Inside the courthouse, Anarky's followers are being attacked by Copperhead clones. Anarky lights up a Molotov and throws it at the Copperheads. "Leave them alone," shouts Anarky. Just then, a Copperhead clone binds him from behind with her legs and arms, grabbing his head with her hands. "I want you to watch this, Anarky. I want you to watch your followers die."

Outside, Batman keeps his serious look as he hears the screams from inside. "I can see through the eyes of my temp clones, Batman. They are snapping necks and clawing them to death, and yet here you stand, not moving a muscle. I can't believe that you are the new Batman, too much of a coward to take action." Batman grunts briefly. "What makes you think I haven't helped them?" Copperhead laughs. "If standing here and doing nothing is your idea of helping people, then you should give up being Batman." The people inside have stopped screaming. The Copperheads have now surrounded Anarky as the one holding him has let go. "You lose, Batman," said the original Copperhead.

Batman starts laughing, making Copperhead a bit unsettled. "Did you honestly think that I didn't expect your arrival? You arrived in Gotham earlier today, right? So where do you think I went to last night?" Copperhead becomes suspicious. "I knew Black Mask would let his ego get the better of him, so he hired an assassin to come to Gotham and kill Anarky, so last night, I approached Anarky and his followers and we planned for your arrival."

Batman takes out a syringe gun. "Kincaid Industries has been working on a performance enhancer. It uses remnants of the Sunstone found in Superman's blood. Whoever takes it can use his powers for five hours at a time." Copperhead opens her eyes in fear as she looks inside.

"NOW," shouts Anarky. With blinding speed, the followers start smashing the Copperhead clones. With one punch, one of the clones are knocked through the window, into the street where Batman and Copperhead are standing. The clone "dies", causing it to fade from existence in a flash. Batman chuckles a bit. "So much for killing Anarky."

Copperhead charges at Batman in fury. Batman throws a punch, but she slithers around his body. She raises her right hand to make a strike, but he blocks and grabs her arm before throwing her off with super strength. Copperhead catches herself before throwing a left jab. Batman blocks and kicks, but she barely blocks in time. Batman punches, knocking her down on the street, but Copperhead rolls out-of-the-way from his fist as it goes through the ground. Copperhead is back on her feet and kicks the back of his neck before slithering around his neck with her legs wrapped around it. "If you die, Gotham's hope dies with you." Out of nowhere, Copperhead is struck from behind and knocked off Batman. She gets up, only to be picked up by Anarky. With one slam, he dents the ground with her body. Copperhead lays there with blood coming from her mouth. The snake woman now starts to snarl. "You think I don't know who you are, Batman? The suit you're wearing is nanotech, and only one man in town has that swimming through his body. You turn me in and I swear I'll tell them who you are, Zachariah!"

Batman now makes a sarcastic plea. "Oh no, don't do that." Anarky folds his arms as he bumps Batman. "She hasn't heard, has she?" Copperhead seems dumbfounded. "What are you talking about," asked Copperhead. Batman now holds up a smart phone. "Just a few hours ago, I uploaded a video to the internet, revealing my identity to the world. If I'm going to work as a private detective, I need people to trust me, so I gave them a hero with a face. Since my employees live in Gotham, which is known for its high crime rate, they are in danger with or without this knowledge, so now they know that I can better protect them." Batman puts the phone away.

"Black Mask already knew my identity when he hired me for this job, and yet he neglected to tell you, Copperhead. Why? Is it because he figured you would know already? No, it's because he doesn't like you. After all, the last time he hired you, he was captured by Joker and you didn't even bother to free him." Anarky pats Batman's shoulder. "So what do we do with her," asked Anarky. "I already called the cops. They are on their way," said Batman.

Back in the Batcave, Bruce sits by the batcomputer with his hands folded. Zach stands beside Bruce with his cowl off. "So you revealed your identity to the world."

"Yes I did. I figured that it would make my job easier since I have no family to worry about."

"Only now your enemies will try twice as hard to come after you, Zachariah."

"Not necessarily. Scarecrow killed my guard before I even became Batman, and since we're in Gotham anyway, it didn't make much of a difference."

"Just be careful, Zachariah. Not everyone will be happy about you revealing your identity."

"Maybe not, but this speeds things up with diverting Ra's and Shiva from Barbara. Obviously, Ra's has seen the video, so he knows that I'm your replacement."

"Which also means that he will send Shiva to Gotham to find you."

"Should I be worried?"

"Not at first, Zachariah. Shiva will probably offer to train you. You could use her skills."

"I guess I could, right up until she tries to kill me."

"Let us hope it doesn't come to that." Zach's eyes open wide in fear and Bruce notices, feeling deeply concerned. "Zachariah, what is it?" Zach looks at Bruce, keeping his look of fear. "Vanessa."

Harley has snuck into the Luthor Hotel, walking down the hallway. She wears nothing except a red sleeveless gown with her face paint on and her blonde hair hanging down. Her face is absolutely livid as she had to sneak past the Superman clone guarding the door. General Sam Lane had sent it to the very hotel that Vanessa was staying in so that someone like Harley won't get to her. Harley gets a call on her earpiece. "Harlene, what are you doing," asked Amanda Waller on the other end. "I'm taking care of some business, boss lady. Don't bother me."

"You forget that I can track you, Harlene. Your signal tells me that you're at the Luthor Hotel. That ship has sailed, Harlene; leave Vanessa alone."

"I won't be satisfied until she's dead!"

"No you won't. I put you on the Suicide Squad for a reason, Harley, because you are a death row criminal. I'm ordering you to stand down." Harley sees a large suite at the end of the hallway. "Harley, do you hear me? I said stand down!" Harley turns off her earpiece and takes out her gun. "Once you're dead, your precious hotels will close because you're the only one who can afford them. I said I would take everything from you, Vanessa; I'm a girl of my word!" Harley holds her silver pistol in front of her when she hears a voice.

"Harlene Quinzel," said Batman. Harley spins around and opens fire on him, but the bullets bounce off. One of them grazes her, causing her to grab her left shoulder in pain. "That pain is nothing compared to what I'm going to do, Harley," said Batman. Harley seems unafraid. "What are you going to do, B-man? Are you going to scowl at me like the old Batman? I know where your building is, Zach, and I will MURDER..." Batman cuts her off when he grabs her shoulder. A strange white light shines from her eyes and mouth, as she becomes paralyzed by it. The glowing white symbol of infinity is now on her forehead. "This is an ability I learned after my fight with Copperhead earlier tonight. Raven allowed me to download her empathic powers, but after combining that with my psychometry, and using Copperhead's cloning power, I developed the Infinite Guilt." Batman lowers his voice a little.

"I take every sin you committed and turn it against you, then I multiply your guilt times infinity, hence the name. Even the worst psychopaths can't withstand that. So, how does it feel, Harley?" Batman releases his grip, and Harley slams into the wall before sliding to the floor with her legs out. Her face is now paralyzed with fear as tears fall from her eyes. "B-b-b-blood. So much blood." Batman bends down and picks up Harley, walking toward the exit.

"Come on. I'll take you back to Amanda Waller." Batman carries Harley as her cries are now heard in the hallway. Batman bears it as Harley feels emotions that she hasn't felt in a while, and deep down, she is better off.
