I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here, Yuuki and Kyouka's eventual encounter is being set in motion as the story would have some DARK MOMENTS…especially as some surprise characters make an unscheduled appearance…
By the way, this is AU, hence the setting of this story would be slightly different but would still retain some elements from Mato Seihei no Slave.

Somewhere within the Kagawa Prefecture…
The scene shifts at a suburban area, where a 16-year old boy, described with having a short brown hair, spiked up at odd angles on his head. His eyes are oval-shaped, along with his large pupils. a very enthusiastic and competitive individual who holds himself to a high standard as he makes an effort to avoid descending to the level of his rivals.
He seems to have a rather normal life until recently his biological father passed away, and the teen boy is now an orphan, and to top it off, it seems that no other relatives are willing to adopt him, thus the teen boy is forced to live alone, and right now he is contemplating on finding a part-time job in order to support himself financially and may have to forego enrollment at a high school.
The teen boy is identified as Kosei Tsuburaba, and he is arriving at his home, which appeared to be a posh, two-story house that is above middle-class and has lots of amenities, and for now he has a place to stay while he figures out how to support himself.
However, two security guards blocked his way and informed him that he is no longer the owner of his home, as Tsuburaba's paternal aunt shows up, showing him the documents which shows that Kosei's father has left his will of testament to her, hence she now owns the house and none is left for Kosei.
Kosei was livid as he couldn't believe that his aunt would do this, unaware that his aunt has subtlety manipulated Kosei's father to leave his property and finances to her, and tricked him to not leave anything to Kosei, and as an act of insult, Kosei's aunt revealed that she now control Kosei's bank account, and thus he is now penniless, and she ordered the guards to throw Kosei out.
At a park, a despondent Tsuburaba is wondering what he would do next, as he is now homeless and destitute, but then someone approached him, and he glanced at the person who stood before him, as that person, a beautiful woman who appears to be in her mid-twenties. Her hair colour is a light red, normally kept in a loose braid with bangs reaching just past her eyebrows and two longer side bangs that frame her face. Her eyes are yellow with multiple red rings within them. Her outfit consists of a white long sleeves white shirt, a black tie, black pants and brown shoes.
The woman introduces herself as Makima, and she says that she heard what happened and offered him a place to stay while at the same time offered him a job, which Tsuburaba glanced at her, asking what kind of job she is offering, which she asked him if he is willing to do some MERCENARY STUFF, saying that she heard that he is quite good in fighting, which made Tsuburaba wondering if the offer is too good to be true.
"A job as a…mercenary…?"
"That's right. And since you say that you have a background on fighting…I am sure you can be well-suited…"
"So…what kind of job would I do…"
"Something of a top-secret action…akin to…let's say…vigilante stuff…"
"Seriously? So what would I do…?"
"Oh, just take down some BAD GUYS..."
"For real?"
"Yes."
Tsuburaba raised his eyebrow when Makima said that the job he is offered involves taking down some CRIMINAL ELEMENTS like the Yakuza, which made Tsuburaba hesitant, but Makima offered him a salary price of 100,000 yen, as well as the chance of getting even against his aunt for ruining his life.
Tsuburaba stared in disbelief when told of the salary and asked her if that is possible, and said that he doubt he could do that given the huge number of Yakuza groups, which Makima smiled alluringly as she said that she would provide him with the means of assisting him in this endeavor.
Makima then gave Tsuburaba an item, which appeared to be a card deck, and as Tsuburaba checked it, he is perplexed as it contains only two cards, which are:
- GUARD VENT
- CONTRACT
Makima smirked and said that the items she gave him will be his WEAPONS and offered him another way of ACQUIRING POWER, which slowly tempted Tsuburaba, as he is gradually enticed in earning 100,000 yen and to get even against his aunt.
"So all I have to do is to get rid of some Yakuza groups…and I won't get implicated…?"
"Yes."
"And I'll be earning a hundred thousand yen as my salary…?"
"Yes."
"Am I allowed to use this to get even on my aunt…?"
"Yes. You have permission to do that."
"Okay."
"Good."
Makima then led Tsuburaba towards a car as she said that he is starting to work immediately and will show him how to use THAT POWER and how to make use of the items he now has in his possession, which a few minutes later they arrived at a pond and there she showed Tsuburaba something which made him shocked, and there she instructed the teen boy on what to do.
"H-hey…"
"…"
"Th-that's…"
"Okay…follow my instructions…"
"R-really…?"
"Yes. Just follow what I tell you and everything is set."
"O-okay…"
"Good…"

Elsewhere…
The scene shifts at an apartment complex, where Yuuki Wakura is staying, though he appeared to be living alone, and there you can see that the apartment complex is rather ordinary-looking, as it is simple, yet good to look as it would enticed some people who are looking to stay and rent.
On the exterior there are other apartments surrounding theirs and power lines out in the front. The apartments are all around five stories tall and appear to be danchi. On the side of the main apartment building, a big "2" is visible.
Then the interiors looks to be a normal apartment with a table and chairs in the dining area and cabinet where plates, cups and bowls are stored.
The scene shifts at the apartment unit where the Yuuki is staying, which he is the only tenant at this time, as his elder sister went missing for nearly a decade, and life was a bit difficult for him as his parents disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
Since his income is slightly below average, Yuuki reluctantly had to find a part-time job so as to support himself, while attending a normal high school, and as of the moment it is summer vacation, hence Yuuki had a job as a part-time mover, and now he is on his way to part-time work, just as he is about to turn off his TV as he watch the news where missing persons cases are rising.
Moreover he saw the news where two victims were found at the areas of Akihabara, which were gruesome and identifying the victims were difficult, and there a neighbor came in and saw the news, and tells her neighbor to be careful, which Yuuki nodded and assured to her that he will be careful while outside and during work.
"Yuuki…"
"Yes, ma'am…"
"Are you going out?"
"Yes, ma'am…I'm off to work…"
"Be careful out there."
"Yes, ma'am…"
"Be sure to come home safely."
"Yes, I will…"
After that, Yuuki left the apartment complex as he is on his way to part-time work, and as he is walking, he began his usual mannerisms of muttering to himself, as he wondered what happened as last night things were peaceful and he didn't noticed anything out of the blue, and as he walked the streets, his muttering mannerisms was seen and heard by some passerby, which made them feel a bit uncomfortable.
"Goodness…"
"What is that kid doing…"
"He's creeping me out…"
"I bet he's crazy…"
"Better stay away from him…"
"Watch out…"
"Someone call the mental hospital…"
"Call 1-1-9…"
As Yuuki was walking by, he was, at this time, all by himself, where he passed by an establishment that has a huge glass-like wall, where he didn't notice that a Shuuki, which resembled a BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon, is hovering, and is fixated at Yuuki until something made it stop before leaving the boy alone.

Meanwhile, near the Tokyo border, the scene shows that a car is parked near a financial hub, where Ryōko Yakushiji and Kyouka Uzen are waiting for something, as they are now on the lookout as they expect that they might encounter something that might strike unexpectedly, as Kyouka is disappointed that two victims were killed even though she managed to kill the assailant.
"So, Kyouka chan…"
"…"
"Had a good night sleep…?"
"Does it looked like I enjoy it…? Come on…"
"Don't feel bad. At the very least you get to recover your stamina…"
"Hmph. Last night was a bummer. And you know it."
"Don't be. You did well out there last night."
"Hmph."
As Ryōko is sipping a cup of coffee, Kyouka is drinking a cup of cappuccino, as they had a rather long night last night and had at least four hours of sleep, but then Kyouka clutch her head as he FELT a RINGING sound, which Ryōko noticed her actions and asked her if she felt it, which Kyouka nodded.
"Kyouka-chan…?"
"…"
"You felt it…?"
"Yeah…"
"Can you tell…?"
"Its nearby…!"
"What…?"
"That damn thing is nearby…!"
Kyouka then glanced around before seeing a McDonald's restaurant where, at this time, showed that the customers are children and toddlers, having a birthday celebration, and Ryōko had a bad feeling about this and tells Kyouka to go check it out, which she also suspect that something bad is about to happen, and she gets off the car.
As Kyouka is nearing the restaurant, sjhe is taken aback as the Shuuki, which resembled a BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon, came out from a reflective surface and is already inside the restaurant, where it began to spit huge fireballs, turning the birthday celebration into a gruesome inferno as the children are being burned alive, and you can hear the children are adults screaming in terror and pain, as they are all being burned alive.
"EEEEEEKKKK!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"
"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"
"AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!"
"EEEEEEKKKK!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"

"AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEE!"
Kyouka gritted her teeth as she attempted to get inside but backed away due to the intense heat generated by the fiery attack by the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon, but then Ryōko pulled her away and as Kyouka asked her why, Ryōko just pulled her away until they got to a safe distance before the windows of the McDonald's restaurant exploded, sending glass shards away and struck nearby establishment and vehicles.
Kyouka stared wide-eyed at what she just saw, and Ryōko solemnly tells her that there is nothing they can do, as the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon-like Shuuki has killed everyone inside the restaurant and there is zero chance for the victims to survive.
"Sorry, Kyouka-chan…"
"…"
"There's nothing you can do…"
"Damn it…"
"That thing is quite dangerous…I doubt you could stop it…"
"I can't just…"
"Come on…"
"…"
Soon police arrived after hearing the explosion, and soon the responding cops were shocked at the inferno they are seeing, and one of the cops told his partner to call the fire department and an ambulance, saying that this could either be an accident or an arson attack, which the other cop nodded in acknowledgement.
"Quick! Radio the dispatcher!"
"O-okay…!"
"Tell her to call for the fire department!"
"O-okay…!"
"And a lot of ambulances! As many as she can call!"
"O-okay…!"
"Hurry!"
"O-okay…!"
As Kyouka gritted her teeth as she couldn't believe that she would witness such a tragic scene, Ryōko tells her to try focusing and figure out where the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon is heading, and she reluctantly nodded as she closed her eyes and mentally trying to sense the target, which she somewhat managed to track its movement.
"I think I can track it…"
"Can you tell where it's heading…?"
"Sort of…"
"Okay…try to follow it…and if given the chance…"
"Take it down."
"Good. You better get going."
"Yeah."
"And be careful."
Ryōko then told Kyouka to go ahead and find the target and try taking it down, which she nodded, though reluctantly as she seemingly doesn't want to leave Ryōko behind though she assured to her that she will be okay, and Kyouka was forced to steal a parked motorcycle and sped off, intending to track down and take down the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon.

Meanwhile, Yuuki is at an abandoned studio-type house, where he is working as a mover as he and some co-workers are collecting the belongings of someone who was not seen in months, and are loading the belongings inside a van, and once done, the co-workers' jobs are done and got paid, and there they are leaving, though Yuuki decided to stay behind as he thought that he might find something that might help him in improving his family's financial situation.
As Yuuki is rummaging at a cabinet, someone came and entered, which he saw Yuuki facing the cabinet looking for something, and the entrant, an 18-year old teenager who has an average stature and short wisteria hair that sometimes partially covers his green eyes. He is usually seen with casual clothes but often wears a hoodie and jeans.
He is identified as Nasa Yuzaki, and as he glanced at a huge mirror behind Yuuki, he could see the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon hovering, and is ready to swoop through upon setting its sight on Yuuki, which Nasa realized that Yuuki is the intended target, and there would be no time for Yuuki to make an escape.
"Oh damn…that kid is about to get eaten…!"
Realizing that time is of the essence, and thinking fast, Nasa brought out what appeared to be a hand-sized card deck and went in front of the mirror, and underwent a transformation before jumping through the mirror.
As Yuuki turn around, he wondered if someone else is there as he felt that someone was here a moment ago, unaware that Nasa just entered a mirror. As Yuuki was about to collect something, he glanced at a mirror where Nasa entered, and he blinked his eyes as he accidentally saw something, which he stared in disbelief.
"Must be my imagination…"

Inside the mirror, it appeared to be some kind of dimensional environment, and there you can see that Nasa is encased in an armor, that is light-black and simple-looking, which seemed to offer him a moderate amount of protection as he attempted to fight off the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon, but soon finds himself outmatched due to the dragon's sheer size and power.
"Blast…this is no good…maybe if I could…"
As the armored Nasa is thinking of a way to get the dragon to go away, he was waylaid after being struck by the dragon's tail, then struck by huge fireballs that the dragon spitted out, and the impact knocked Nasa back, and recognizing that he is no match, he decided to retreat, but in his haste he accidentally de-armored and before he is about to head through the mirror surface, the dragon spits out a huge fireball and struck Nasa, and he was burned alive, but the card deck made its way back to the real world.
Yuuki witnessed it and is dumbfounded, as he wondered if he is seeing things or if he is hallucinating, yet he sees the discarded card deck and picks it up, where he checked the contents and sees that it only has three cards, consisting of:
- SEAL
- SWORD VENT
- CONTRACT
As Yuuki began to wander and ended up at the veranda, he wondered what just happened and if what he saw is real or not, unaware that he witnessed Nasa getting killed, but because of that scene happened via a mirror, he is unsure what to make of it, and now he is baffled at the items he is holding, consisting of a card deck and two strange-looking cards.
Just then Kyouka arrived, and he saw Yuuki on the veranda, and there she saw Yuuki holding a card deck, and realized that he might accidentally get caught in the crossfire if he accidentally figure out how that item works, and there Kyouka decided to rush in.
"Blast it…!"
However, Kyouka sensed a RINGING SENSATION, and he stared wide-eyed as she realized what this means, and at the same time, Yuuki also felt the RINGING SENSATION, which he is bewildered as this never happened before.
"What…what was that…?"
Suddenly, the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon emerged from the window outside, and is eyeing Yuuki, and Yuuki himself stared wide-eyed, as he realized that the dragon he saw just now is the one he saw at the mirror inside the house minutes ago.
"No…no way…what the heck is that…?"
Kyouka stared wide-eyed as Yuuki is on the second floor, and as the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon is hovering above, it is quite near the teen boy, and Kyouka realized that she won't make it in time, and had to think of something to delay the dragon so as to allow Yuuki a bit of time to escape.
"Damn it! I won't make it in time!"
However, the dragon roared as it is ready to swoop down, and Yuuki finds himself too scared to move and wondered if he is dreaming or having a nightmare, as he finds this too unbelievable.
"RRRRROOOOOAAAARRRRR!"
"N-no way…"
"RRRRROOOOOAAAARRRRR!"
"Am…am I going to…?"
"RRRRROOOOOAAAARRRRR!"
"What…what am I going…?"

A character from Tonikaku Kawaii appeared, and he is depicted as the ORIGINAL OWNER of the card deck that went to Yuuki after getting killed by the BIO-MECHANICAL-looking Japanese dragon, who now goes after Yuuki as Kyouka attempted to intervene…
Okay, you're wondering why there are some characters from other series appearing here even though this is a Mato Seihei no Slave fanfic, well, given that Yuuki is the only guy in this manga/anime series, a well as having a lack of human male antagonists, I thought of borrowing some characters from other series so as to have some of them portray villains, anti-heroes and anti-villains.
