A/N Hello everyone! I have been to Disneyland Paris but the info might not be so accurate(Foreshadowing this chapter! Oooo) Anyway, same old same old: Please review, follow and favorite! Thanks to everyone who already did and thanks for actually reading!
DISCLAIMER: All my life, I've only been pretending that I own Les Mis but I don't.
Eponine's POV
"Are you serious?! Oh my gosh!" 'Chetta screamed. She was just as excited as 'Sette and I were. Les Amis planned on going to Disneyland today and to be very honest, I've only heard about it. I've never actually been there and ever since Les Amis found out that I haven't been to Disneyland, they didn't allow me to use my computer when I'm in my room or alone because they were afraid that I'd look it up and see the pictures of it. They wanted it to be a surprise. It was 7 a.m and we were getting ready to go. I just put on a black T-shirt and jeans. 'Sette was wearing a pink T-shirt that had butterflies on it and pink jeans. 'Chetta was wearing a green T-shirt and shorts. The three of us grabbed our bags and headed down to the school's parking lot. All the guys were already waiting there, minding their own businesses. Enjolras looked as grumpy as ever, Courf was making out with 'Zelma in the car (Yes, indeed a very disgusting sight), Bahorel was having fake fist fights with Bossuet but Bossuet ended up getting hit for real almost every time, 'Ferre was running around like a maniac with Gav on his back, Feuilly was talking about politics with Marius, Jehan was writing a poem on his arm, Grantaire was not sipping on his wine, which I, 'Sette and 'Chetta found very weird of him, but he instead, he was discussing medicine with Joly, who had a notepad in his hand and a pen in his other hand and was jotting something down as Grantaire went on babbling about stuff. The attention soon turned to us. "Hey." We all said at the same time. "I don't know if my car's going to fit all of us in but I really hope it does." Courf said. I didn't know why he thought it wouldn't fit all of us because his car was literally to be called a mini van. We seated ourselves inside the car and I climbed to the back, not knowing that Enjolras was there. I rolled my eyes and sat next to him. Then, I realized I was surrounded by complete idiots:Grantaire on one side, Enjolras on the other, and Bahorel, Bossuet and Courf in the front of me. Marius and 'Sette were at the very front and Feuilly was the driver even though it was Courf's car. We finally set off. The car was quiet for the first few minutes but it got louder and louder until everyone was practically singing their hearts out with Justin Timberlake's Sexyback. Enjolras was the only one sitting quietly, looking out the window. I saw the boredom in his features so I just chipped in for a conversation. "So...How is this Disneyland?" I asked. Without turning to face me, he shrugged. "I guess I'd call it childish but others think it's fun and cool. I mean, seriously. It's so immature to go to a Disney-themed amusement park that has those kiddy stuff and stupid rides. You haven't been there yet so I don't think you get me." He said, obviously frustrated.
"Well, just because it's an amusement park doesn't mean it sucks. Just loosen up and at least try to enjoy. Your friends just want to have fun with each other and that includes you because you're part of Les Amis." I said, trying to convince him that Disneyland would actually be fun. He didn't buy it even after I've tried to convince him a thousand times so I just gave up and changed the subject. "So are you planning on having another girlfriend?" I asked, smirking. He snorted and turned to me. "You think? Damn it, Ep. Why did you even ask me that? You know that I'm never going to have another one because after the Melanie thing, I just stopped thinking about even liking a girl." He said. I laughed. "Do you like R?" I whispered, remembering Grantaire's confession in English class. "As a friend, yes. As a crush, I won't say I do. What, you think I'm gay?" Enjolras said. I laughed at the thought of Enjolras kissing Grantaire. It would look awfully gross if it really happened. He frowned. "You are so hysterical." He said. I laughed again, just harder. "You just realized? I thought you knew." I said, still laughing because the thought of Grantaire kissing Enjolras kept coming. "Knew what?" Courf suddenly asked as everyone in the car stopped whatever they were doing. "That I'm hysterical and that he's gay." I said, pointing to Enjolras, laughing my ass off. Enjolras had a fuck-you-Eponine-I'm-not-gay look. Everyone laughed so hard that the car started tilting from side to side. Then I realized that Grantaire wasn't joining in the laughter. "What's wrong?" I asked, the laughter still going on. Grantaire looked extremely uneasy. "It's...I...Well, I...um...I..." He stammered. I patted his shoulder. "I was just teasing him, R. And nobody is going to know that you are...erm... you like him." I said, smiling. He smiled back as Bossuet brought up Truth or Dare. "R! Truth or dare?" He said.
"Um...Truth?" Grantaire answered uncertainly. "Are you gay?" Bossuet asked. Grantaire stiffened up as though a knife poked his back. I gritted my teeth in nervousness. Shit. It's going to end up in a disaster as soon as they find out! I almost freaked out but I realized that Grantaire was supposed to be the one to freak out, not me because I was just a witness of the confession and the only witness. "No." Grantaire replied. Everyone looked at him skeptically. "You don't sound so sure." Bahorel said, chuckling with Courf in a making-fun manner. I frowned. "Look, if you're going to make fun of someone just because they're not like you, you better think of yourself first. Everybody is different and that's what makes a person unique. For example, Jehan loves poetry. What's wrong with that? Or Bahorel, you like wrestling and being hardcore. Nobody says a bad thing about you. Or Courf, you are such a flirt. Girls still swoon over you and want to be your girlfriend. Azelma doesn't even care about that! Or even you, Bossuet. You have bad luck but we still want to be your friends even if sometimes, we get into your...bad luck trap or something. All I'm trying to say is that no matter who R is, you still have to accept him in Les Amis de l'ABC just like how everyone accepts you in this society." I said, feeling like Enjolras giving a lecture. Everyone stared at me in surprise. Perhaps they've never seen me give stupid and unreal lectures... They started clapping and I glanced at Enjolras, expecting a compliment. His eyes were wide and I could tell that he was surprised. "Sorry, R. It's alright to be...you know. I'm sure we'll be able to accept who you are, right guys?" 'Ferre chipped in. Everyone nodded approvingly and apologized to Grantaire. "Hey guys. Good news." Feuilly suddenly said from the driver's seat. "We are here." He said. I looked out the window and saw two small gate-castles as entrances to the park and tons and tons of people. There were also some people coming from the subway and some were with kids and their whole family. It seemed like a place for children but I was pretty sure there had to be some rides like rollercoasters or something scary. I realized how long I'd been staring at the entrance when Enjolras tapped my shoulder. "Are you going to get out or what?" He asked.
"Sorry." I mumbled as I got out of the car and Enjolras followed me out. Suddenly, 'Chetta flung an arm around my shoulder. "So what d'you think?" She asked.
"Very impressive but just...Are you sure we're at the right place?"
"Of course. Why? Too many people, right? It's always like this but it's going to get better inside. Just a little more waiting-in-line." 'Chetta said, smiling and pushing me inside, following the other guys. We bought our tickets and went inside. "Oh my Gosh." I mumbled to myself as we walked into what they called 'Main Street U.S.A' and I saw a castle from afar. It looked just like the castle in all Disney movies' openings. It was quite a dream come true. I glanced over from side to side and saw many food shops and souvenir shops. The food shops sold all kinds of Mickey Mouse-shaped food including pancakes and waffles. Even the plates they put the food in were Mickey Mouse-shaped! The souvenir shops sold Disney costumes for kids and accessories and everything Disney-themed. "So? You like it so far?" Courf asked. I couldn't even nod properly because I was too busy trying to take in the features of the park. "Hey, don't be too overwhelmed here. There are lots more stuff to go through in one day and I'm sure you'll be surprised at all of the other things." He said, walking a little in front with 'Zelma, hand in hand. We all followed him until we reached the castle. Bahorel took out his camera and told us to line up in front of the castle so he could take a picture. Gav ran to me and grabbed onto my arm in excitement. "'Ponine! 'Ponine! Did ya see the entrance? Did ya see all the shops on the street over there? Do ya see the castle right behind you?" Gav asked, jumping up and down. I chuckled and nodded. We all smiled for the camera and Bahorel gave someone the camera to take another picture with him in it. When we finished, we walked right into the castle. I opened my mouth, then closed it, then opened it again. "You look like a fish right now. Stop doing that." Gav said. I clamped my mouth shut and started walking. We stopped at a point where we could see all the rides in what they called 'Fantasyland'. There was a Dumbo ride, a Peter Pan ride, a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ride, Lancelot's Carousel, a Pinocchio ride, an Alice in Wonderland teacup ride and definitely lots more. "This way, guys." Marius said, guiding us towards the teacup ride. We waited in line for about half an hour and we finally got in. "4-5 in one teacup only." The lady in charge of the ride said. I grouped myself up with 'Sette, 'Chetta, 'Zelma and Gav. Courf, Bahorel, Bossuet and Feuilly were in a teacup. Enjolras, 'Ferre and Joly in another and Marius, Grantaire and Jehan in the third. The ride was just teacups turning and turning and all it did to me was make me dizzy. We got out of the ride, all of us walking like drunkards. We went to some more rides in Fantasyland, then headed over to a land called 'Adventureland'. There was an Indiana Jones ride, a Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the Adventure Isle, Aladdin's walk-in story and the Pirate's beach. Everything looked really cool and I wanted to go on all of them. My wish was granted and I loved every single ride because most of them were, like the name of the land they were in, adventurous. We continued walking to Frontierland and stopped to eat lunch at Restaurant Hakuna Matata. The food there was very and I mean, very delicious, not like the boring and bland cafeteria food. Frontierland had lots of rides like Big Thunder Mountain, Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing, the Phantom Manor and Pocahontas Indian Village. We went into the Phantom Manor first. The man who was directing the people to go on the car thingy in the Phantom Manor said, "Only two people per car please." 'Chetta already hopped in with Joly, 'Zelma with Courf, 'Sette with Marius, 'Ferre with Gav and Grantaire, Bossuet with Jehan and Bahorel with Feuilly so I was left with Enjolras. I was pretty fine with that because I get scared easily (Everyone knows that) and I decided that it was best if a sat with a guy because if anything happened, the guy could 'protect' me or comfort me if I cried. I hopped into the car with Enjolras as the car started going. At one point, all the cars stopped and, believe it or not, our car stopped right in front of a dead bride standing in front of her mirror. I screamed and clung onto Enjolras. "It's...okay...Eponine..." He said. He was shaking and so was I, for that matter. I buried my face in my hands and shut my eyes as tightly as I could. Then I felt Enjolras' arms wrapped around me, his face buried in my hair. I could've sworn we looked like cowardly rabbits. We let go when the car finally started moving again and at the very end of the ride, the car turned and made us look at the mirror, which revealed a ghost next to me. Enjolras and I screamed at the same time and he practically jumped onto my lap. The ride finished and I told myself that I never would go to that ride ever again. "I'm totally having a nightmare tonight. Seriously, I nearly had a heart attack in there and it could have killed me!" Joly screamed when we already came out of the ride. We standing in the middle of Frontierland, deciding where to go next. We all laughed at Joly's remark and I added, "Hey, Joly. If I suddenly get a heart attack right now, what would you do?"
"Don't ask because if you say something bad that will happen, it might happen for real." Bossuet warned us. What is with him and superstitions? I pretended to have a heart attack and I must have done a pretty good job because Bossuet and Joly actually believed me. Bossuet was freaking out and screaming, "I told you so!" and Joly wanted to start pumping my chest. I stood up from the ground and brushed the dirt off my shirt and jeans. "It's seriously getting annoying. Would you please be wonderful mature gentlemen and pause your act of juvenileness. Thank you very much." I said as if I was from the Victorian times. Everyone laughed at my impression and we walking back through Fantasyland to Discoveryland. On the way there, we passed by It's a Small World. It was about 5:00 when we arrived in Discoveryland so we stopped by Cafe Hyperion to grab some snacks. There were so many space-themed rides like the Buzz Lightyear ride, the Orbitron, Autopia, Star Tours and Space Mountain. We went on almost every ride and by the time we finished the last ride, Space Mountain(the absolute best rollercoaster I've ever been on and my favorite ride in the whole park apart from Star Tours), it was already 6:50 p.m. "Guys, the park is closing in 10 minutes. We better get out of here and by get out, I mean run." Bahorel said. We didn't waste much time standing around and we just ran as fast as our feet took us and soon arrived at the parking lot. We were panting like dogs on a hot day and practically crawled to the car. We drove off, sitting in the same places and everyone fell asleep including me (Feuilly didn't, of course, or else we would have been dead) After half an hour, we came back to VHHS and headed straight to the dorms. While each of us were about to opened the door to our dorms, I stopped all of them. "Since it's a Saturday night, I think we should hang out and maybe stay up all night watching movies and eating." I suggested. Everyone nodded in approval. "So our room?" 'Sette asked everybody else. "No, Cosette. Mine. I'm the king of parties!" Courf said. Grantaire cleared his throat. "I think you mean we are the kings of parties." Grantaire said, causing Courf to roll his eyes. "Fine. We are. But anyways, my room." Courf said as all of us nodded and went into our rooms to change into our pajamas. A few minutes later, we all gathered in Courf and 'Zelma's room. 'Sette and I brought a pile of chips while 'Ferre brought a bunch of books and Grantaire and Courf provided us more horror movies. It was a very sleepless night with horror movies filling our thoughts and the fun at Disneyland in our feelings. It was the best day ever at the best park ever and the best night at Courf's ever. I cannot believe that I've been living under a rock all my life.
Thanks for reading, guys! Love you all! R&R!
