Chapter 16

Yumi grunted as her back hit the wall as she hid from her enemies on her tail. "I've got enemies I can't shake!" She called out.

"Hold on, Yumi!" Matt called out before jumping in and hitting the enemies quickly and knocking them down.

"Thanks, Handsome," she said.

"Anything for you, my love," he said.

Just then, Saki pushed the big button that popped up on the control panel and the large ink blob was released, stopping the Octolings in their tracks and making them retreat, which granted the Inkling's the win. "We did it!" T.K. cheered happily.

"Alright!" Asahi cheered.

"Another win for the team!" Agent 8 cheered as well, yelping in surprise when Agent 4 picked her up in his arms. She giggled and pulled him in for a kiss.

As they were celebrating, Matt looked at Yumi and pulled her close. "Yumi," he said, getting her attention. "You are the most amazing person in the world and every day, I fall deeper in love with you."

"Aw, Matt," she said, kissing him deeply and he chuckled, kissing her back before he kneeled down on one knee before her.

"Yumi...will you marry me?" He asked softly.

She gasped before tackling him. "Yes! Yes!" She squealed out happily.

Another squeal sounded out as Agent 4 had just popped the question to Agent 8 and she had enthusiastically answered with a loud 'YES!' "What's all the ruckus out here?" Captain Cuttlefish asked, holding Saki protectively.

He found Agent 4 on the ground with Agent 8 kissing his face repeatedly and Matt was spinning Yumi around as they kissed. The others were smiling. "Well, what did I miss?" The captain asked.

"The boys finally asked the girls the big question," Pearl said, grinning.

Asahi grinned. "Looks like I'll be walking my sister down the aisle," he said.

"You know it, bro," 8 said as she got up and 4 got up too.

T.K. giggled and ran to hug Yumi. "Now you'll officially be my big sister," he said happily.

"You bet, kiddo," she said, ruffling his hair playfully.

Matt turned to Agent 4. "Bro, will you be my best man for the wedding?" He asked.

"Sure thing, bro," 4 replied. "Just do me a favorite and treat her right."

"Always."

Yumi smiled. "8, would you be my maid of honor?" She asked.

"You bet, girl," the red-haired Octoling said.

"You have to let us do the music for you," Pearl said, gesturing to herself and the cousins.

"Yes," Yumi said before looking at Marina. "Marina, would you help Saki with her role as the flower girl and be one of my bridesmaids?"

"You bet I will," the singer said.

The green-haired Inkling nodded and turned to Pearl and the cousins. "I want you guys as my bridesmaids too," she said.

"You can count on us," Callie said, smiling.

"Guess that leaves T.K. as the ring bearer," Matt said.

"But who will walk Yumi down the aisle?" T.K. asked.

Yumi turned to look at Captain Cuttlefish. "Captain?" She asked. "Would you be willing to walk me down the aisle?"

"I'd be honored to, lass," he said with a nod.

It was a beautiful wedding and for Yumi and Matt's first song, Marie performed her solo "Tide Goes Out", which they had asked her to sing.

The time flew by and Yumi was soon pregnant and when she shared the news with Matt, he picked her up and kissed her soundly. "I'm going to be a dad again?" He asked.

"Yes, you are," she said.

"What's going on?" 8 asked as she came up to them.

"I'm pregnant," Yumi said.

The red-haired Octoling squealed happily. "I'm going to be an auntie again!" She said, hugging her friends. "Oh, that is the best gift ever! When is the baby due?"

"In about five months," her friend replied.

"Will you be okay to be my maid of honor for mine and 4's wedding in a couple of months?" 8 asked.

"Yes, I'll be fine," Yumi said with a nod. "I may need a chair to sit down in, but I can still play the part."

"We can arrange that," the red-haired Octoling said. "In fact, chairs for the whole group may not be a bad idea."

She jumped when 4 came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. "What's this about chairs, my love?" He asked.

"For the group at the wedding," she replied. "Yumi's pregnant and the baby is due in five months. I was thinking about her standing so long while carrying hers and Matt's baby."

4 looked shocked before grinning. "Alright, I get to be an uncle again," he said before turning to his bride-to-be and kissing her. "And it's sweet of you to think of Yumi's comfort, my love."

"My sister always thinks of others," Asahi said. "I just have one thing to ask of you, 4."

"Yes?" The yellow-haired Inkling said.

"Don't ever break my sister's heart."

4 nodded. "I won't," he promised.

The wedding was just as beautiful as Matt and Yumi's wedding and Asahi gladly gave his sister away to 4 while Cuttlefish watched with a smile. Saki, who had gotten to play the flower girl again, giggled as she sat in Marina's lap and T.K., who had gotten to be the ring bearer again, sat beside them, smiling.

At the reception, Yumi stayed seated for the most part as her baby was kicking her stomach a lot. "Baby is still kicking?" 8 asked as she came over to check on her friend.

"Yes, kicking a lot," the green-haired Inkling said. "Sorry I can't really dance right now, sis."

"That's okay," the red-haired Octoling said. "How about I join you for a bit? 4's gone with the guys to play some soda pong."

"And T.K. and Saki?"

"They're playing bean bag toss and T.K. is showing his little sister how to toss the bean bag."

Yumi smiled as the other girls came over. "Never thought we'd get to be part of two weddings, but I'm so glad we could be," Pearl said.

"Me too," Marie said.

"Same here," Callie admitted.

"Weddings are always fun," Marina said.

"And we'll soon meet our new niece or nephew," 8 said with a smile before turning to Yumi. "Do you guys know if it's a boy or a girl yet?"

"We found out it's going to be a boy," Yumi replied.

The girls gasped happily. "We get to have a nephew!" Pearl cried out happily.

8 chuckled in amusement. "I can't wait to meet my new nephew," she said.

The baby kicked and Yumi smiled. "He's eager to meet his family," she said, making them all chuckle before they all went back to enjoy the party.
