"So, Umbrella's got the Police Commissioner working for them." Chris said. Wesker upended the table with a roar of rage. "That's my father!" He yelled as the projector bulb shattered and the slides flew out of their slots, scattering around the floor. "He sold us out to Umbrella for what?! I trusted that man! There's no reason for me not to! He's my father! I knew Umbrella probably had someone keeping tabs on us in the RCPD, but I never. ONCE. Thought it would be my dad!" Sonic gathered up the slides in a box. "I'm really sorry man." Wesker took the box from his hands and stuffed it into one of the pockets on his vest. A bright flash of blue shone throughout the room, and the Captain of S.T.A.R.S led the way out of the room. "Come one" He said. "We've gotta find Barry" They took the stairs down, and the door the the left of the landing. Through that, they found a locked door. "S.T.A.R.S, Sonic? Stand back" With a yell, he roundhouse-kicked the door off its hinges into the wall opposite where the door used to be. The members of S.T.A.R.S. were taken aback by this sudden display of supernatural strength from their resilient, yet human commander. They made their way through to doorway, but Sonic and Wesker hung back. Wesker turned to Sonic, arms crossed "I trust my team to keep quiet about that, but you're new to me. I'd like to ask a favor of you, don't tell anyone about that, or even discuss it. There's a group out there called The Friends of Humanity, they've driven most of the superhumans off on Earth already, and if you tell them about this it puts the lives of my team in danger." Sonic crossed his arms "Dude, that was a Chi-powered kick, anyone and everyone can learn that move, superpowered or not." Wesker knelt in front of Sonic "I know that, and you know that, but they wouldn't care. They're violent, they're all insane, and somehow they managed to gain enough clout to sway public opinion against The Avengers. Long story short, I need to act as 'normal'" he made air quotes when he said the last word. "But now, I've got lives to save, that's why I'm kicking loose." Sonic grinned "Hey, I got your back man. I know what you're talking about." Jill shouted at them from the end of the corridor "Captain, we found Barry!" Wesker pushed his sunglasses up and ran over to the cell. "Barry, are you okay?!" The bearded man saluted his commander "Sir, yes sir." A broad grin spread across Wesker's face. "That's the best news I've heard all day." Sonic tugged on Jill and Wesker's pant legs "You guys might wanna stand back, I got this door. You too Barry." he revved up and sliced the door to small titanium bits with a homing-spindash. Chris tossed Barry his gun. "You dropped this" Barry caught the gun out of the air and reloaded it "Thanks for taking care of my gun Chris. You like the feel of it?" Chris grinned, then cocked his shotgun "Yeah, but I prefer the Samurai Edge, or this. Easier to aim, and holds more shots." Jill scoffed "You two can talk about guns later, let's get a move on.

(A/N. I'm going to skip the back-tracking, because it wouldn't be interesting to write or to read, and would amount to just being filler. So, moving on)

"Rebecca, Rick!" Ken said as they rounded the corner. "What happened to you?" Rebecca sifted through her bag looking for the snake-bite kit. "Richard got bit by a giant snake. I lobbed a flashbang down its throat and dragged Rick out of the room. Hopefully it hasn't woken up yet." Jill pulled out a syringe with a golden liquid inside "Here, I got this Rebecca" she injected it into Richards arm near the puncture marks. In an instant, his arm healed. "That was a mixture of Red, Green, and Blue herbs from around the mansion. Green to heal the bite, Blue to neutralize the poison and Red to intensify the effects of both." Sonic snapped his fingers "Hold on a minute, a snake?" Richard pushed himself into a sitting position against the wall and took a deep breath. "Yeah. Poisonous, not sure what species." Sonic rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "How big was it?" Rebecca slumped against the wall with exhaustion. "I'd say somewhere between huge and massive." Sonic grinned. "And where is it?" Richard jerked his thumb towards the door behind him. Sonic dashed off, then returned in a flash. "I dealt with the snake, I'm gonna cook us some snake steaks when we're done with all this." Wesker knelt by Richard. "Rick, do you know where Forrest, Enrico and Mark are?" Bec looked down, a tear dripping from her eye. "Mark's dead. He... turned, and I had to shoot him. We found Forrest with his throat bit out on the balcony, and we don't know where Lieutenant Marini is." Wesker shook his head and helped Rick to his feet. "Come on, we gotta get moving before something else that wants to kill us shows up." As they made their way around the mansion and courtyard, they found an elevator with its wires cut out. Chris pulled some tools and a roll of duct-tape out of his vest pockets and messed with the wires until the elevator would work. "There we go, that should do it." he said as he twisted the last wire into place. From the elevator they made their way to a passageway with a ladder at the end of it. Sonic made his way down first, and everyone else followed him.
